DETROIT (AP) -- General Motors is recalling nearly 69,000 pickup trucks, SUVs and vans worldwide because they can roll away unexpectedly.
The recall affects certain 2013 models of the Chevrolet Silverado, Suburban, Tahoe, Avalanche and Express. Also included are the GMC Sierra, Savana and Yukon as well as the Cadillac Escalade.
GM says the vehicles may have been built with faulty park lock cables or malformed steering column lock gears. The vehicles can be shifted out of park even if the ignition key is in the off position or removed. GM says about one in 1,000 of the vehicles has the problem, and most haven't been sold yet.
The company says it knows of no crashes or injuries caused by the problem.
The recall includes almost 55,000 vehicles in the U.S. and another 14,000 in Canada, Mexico

And GM wants to build cars in Russia. Wonder how many recalls that would produce.

Not really suprised by not hearing about this. The mainstream media loves our president can not bear to print anything bad about him.

Ah, yes, the new 'Government Motors'! Bringing you a shoddily built, second class, run of the mill vehicle while the rank and file of the UAW and their fat cat union bosses bath in the dollars stolen from we taxpayers. Its a shame that all of those retirees and seniors that invested in GM stock for their retirement now have nothing to show for it. I predict that GM will face bankruptcy again by the end of the decade; and this next time let them go through the court system like they should of in the first place. Better yet, let them go belly up; we don't need their inferior products anyway!

GM will never have anything to worry about. Remember they are too big to fail. They have a guardian angle watching over them. Uncle Sam.

Gee... It doesn't seem GM has got back to the quality control standards it had before it even needed a bail out.
Mind you, I'm not sure a lot of the hype lauded by manifacturers' claim on their efficacy on enhanced QC is real either.

Funny how these are all their "high profit" vehicles. Supposedly "higher quality" for the price. What a joke.
