Oil rebounded from the lowest close in almost a month in New York as German investor confidence jumped in December on speculation Europe’s largest economy will gather momentum next year.

Futures rose as much as 0.6 percent after falling for a fifth day yesterday, the longest losing streak since October. The ZEW Center for European Economic Research said its index of investor and analyst expectations climbed to 6.9 from minus 15.7 in November. U.S. crude inventories declined 2.5 million barrels last week, according to a Bloomberg News survey. Industrial output in China rose faster than economists estimated, official data showed Dec. 9.

Bloomberg could only hope and wish that oil would jump up. At this writing oil is back to $85.73, only 17 cents higher than yesterday. Speculators set the stage for a massive buy out so that oil prices will rise. Haha this time is all I have to say!

Not so fast. Germany may well be dragged down by Greece, Italy, Portugal and Spain. Germany alone will not be able to bail out all of them over spenders. But speculators will find any excuse to increase oil price.

Is there any GOOD reasons for the prices to yo-yo so much? Why can't they just set the price for a while and see what happens. The global economies would recover quicker if oil stablized. What did I read last week about WTI settling @ $65 and Brent @ $85. Another hoax.

Very sad excuse. Tomorrow it will be France confidence, then Thursday it will be something else. Come on, you phony greedy speculators, where's your conscience? Oh, I forgot, you don't have one. And Washington refuses to regulate these bastards and wants us to forget the CFTC was supposed to do just that almost two years ago. Obama's admin can pick and choose which laws it wants to enact or follow. Thanks so much for all of you that voted for this extremist. You made the rest of us suffer for four more years of his lies and overspending.

Way to go, German investors! You won't have to bail out the Greeks. No, nein, nichts. Them or the Eye-talians or the Portuguese or the Spaniards, niemals! Alles ist gut!
