What is the deal with all these articles stating "crashing", "plummeting" and "diving" prices? Yes they are dropping, but not near as fast as the rose. If prices dropped $0.15 in 1 day (like they rose) then maybe, but $0.15 over 3 weeks, no.

I would prefer a 46 cent drop overnight and have it stay there.

They say "crashed" like it's a bad thing for oil and gas to go down in price.
$3.29 here.

I don't know about there, but here gas prices haven't budged in months, and diesel prices have gone UP.

Gas price crash? The gas prices have been exploding almost all year. This year we are going to set a new all-time high annual average gas price, breaking last year's record. If our demand for gasoline is at an 11 year low, then why has our gas price average going up every year since 2009?
One reason is that Obama and his Congress cronies refuse to regulate speculators. Oil went up yesterday because of Germany's confidence? Are you ffffing kidding me? This is completely ridiculous.
The other reason is that big oil keeps shutting down refineries, has them blow up, catch fire, or malfunction every single year, and exports a ton of diesel and a lot of gasoline to keep our prices way above true supply and demand levels.

Higher production costs, higher demand and inflation are all causing oil and gasoline prices to go up in the long term. Lower prices are a short term occurrence.

"Crash?" "dive-bombed?" Well, at least they are trying to get away from all the other articles that used the word "plummet." What words will they use if gasoline pump prices decline more than an average of a penny and a half in a day? If it drops two cents a day, can't imagine what terminology the beserk, rabid, foaming at the mouth, writers delirious at these events will use.

I think it's interesting that they cite fixing refining problems one after another as a reason for gas prices "crashing." I still find it odd that there would be so many refining problems one after another in the first place, especially if the big oil companies that own them are supposed to be doing regular maintenance for productivity and safety reasons.

Not here, companies are still milking their high profits. Funny it takes hours to raise prices, and weeks to lower them.

The only thing that is 'crashing' is our economy and the value of the US dollar because the idiots in D.C. are looting the Treasury and borrowing/spending $1.5 trillion per year while printing-up $85 billion per month.
At that rate, a gallon of gas will cost a lot more in the very near future as the U.S. dollar continues to 'dive-bomb' in value.

Nope, this is not true. There certainly is not any "tumble".
Crude has only dropped by 25¢ since Friday - $85.68 Wholesale gasoline is the same as Friday - $2.60 per gallon This means pump prices will potentially stay around $3.10
