Very interesting article is it not. Kind of make one want to put a few dollars into a mutual fund or ETFs that invest in pipeline companies does it not. If one is luck enough to have a 401k that allows a piece of the 401k balance to be "self directed", then this is an investment area one just might want to look into.
When one considers that there is a shortage of pipeline capacity in the US and Canada today to carry Alberta crude, North Dakota Bakken shale crude, Texas Eagle Ford shale crude & natural gas and the Marcellus natural gas production to market, it makes pipeline companies just that much more attractive.

I'll go out and make a few moves... mil here, a mil there... Then I will have enough money to invest in this.

one of few possible places to make money in the foreseeable future, assuming obama and epa don't completely ban fossil fuels in the next four years.

Yes, there is much money to be made with these pipelines. Now, let's get the Keystone Pipeline built. Also a pipeline to move the oil from North Dakota to the refineries would be a good investment.

How dependent is this pipeline growth on tax incentives?
