My part of the industrialized world has not promised to give developing countries one thin dime to cope with global warming nor will my part of the industrialized world ever promise such assistance if there is anything we can do to prevent such a foolish move. This UN effort is just more socialist BS straight from the writings of Karl Marx based on the "from each according to his ability & to each according to his need" philosophy. Communism was based on this philosophy of Marx and we all saw how wonderful an economic & political system that was.
The key here is that it is not a hoax that there is or has been global warming cycles or that there is or has been global cooling cycles. The hoax is that mans activities are responsible for our current warming cycle. Global warming or global cooling cycles are a function of nature & there in no way any effort by man will affect the progress of this cycle in any form or fashion.
Giving funding to the UN to stop a natural cycle that is not within mans power to influence is the height of foolishness. With the US debt total being in excess of $17 Trillion, it irritates greatly that another $3.2 Billion has been thrown away in the name of combating global warming by the US Congress.

Not to worry. As these countries (including the US) sink deeper into economic malaise due to their increasingly socialist policies, there will be less and less money available for fossil fuel subsidies. Likewise, there will be less money available for foreign aid.
"The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other peoples' money." - Margaret Thatcher

So basically force stuff down their throats they don't need or want? But it's for their own good so that's okay.

Sounds like a back-door "Cap & Trade" to me. You rich countries(who are they?) need to give money to these poor countries so they will not pollute as much. BS.

Change is hard especially when there is so much money to be made with the current system.

The whole purpose in alternative energy aid is to help new industries we desperately need to move away from the fossil fuel problems of massive pollution and depletion issues.
Of course, these people are afraid of losing their advantage, and lobby the government to keep their profits flowing, even if it damns the whole human race to extinction...

Fossil fuels are energy created by the sun and stored for millions of years deep in the earth.
For us NOT to invest in renewable energy that the sun creates every day and ONLY keep saying the mantra, "Drill baby Drill" is short term thinking.
Perhaps short term thinking works in the short term, but it does not in the long term!

Crude and fuel is the bloodline of any country. Subsidies help towards the billions in investments required of constant research and development. Governments get paid back handsomely in huge tax revenues.
Climate and its slight variances is normal. Subsidies are not needed, although they are lobbied to help fuel the profits of enviro-terrorists.

Well, of course this group would say something like that; the group's purpose is distinctly one-sided and anti-petroleum.
These promoters always talk about subsidies for conventional fuels, and the uneducated don't know the difference.
When confronted, the exact laws that create these "subsidies" can never be identified.

This article is a good example... a reminder that "climate change" is not about the Environment, but is about fleecing the taxpayer. "Climate change" is about economic losers mooching off productive people.
Climate change... it's about the money!!!
