"It also is a gateway to heavily Republican voting districts in north Fulton"...
What does that have to do with anything else in the article?

Iv'e been living here for 26 years. There has been constant construction to improve, widen, speed up, decongest, etc... almost the entire time. All of it was welcomed and needed as population grew. We still have massive traffic jams (rush hour parking lots) almost daily some of it made worse by resurfacing (north west 285 area) right now. Only sane thing to do is move further out. I did.

I moved 20 miles east of Atlanta to avoid dealing with the traffic.

Dont live there or near there and dont have any reason to ever be in that part of the country. My sympathy goes out to those that do.

"Lucky" is in the eye of the beholder.
We are praying for those of you on the East Coast.
1/2 hour to go until the USC-Notre Dame game. Any odds out there?

It was a mess some 20 years ago when I used to drive it. Can't imagine how much worse it is now.

Much like the losing proposition of the HOT lanes, T-Splost would have turned into another boondogle that would have benefited certain segments and detracted from others.

Even if the T-SPLOST transportation referendum had passed, I'm sure the politicians would have figured out a way to raid the fund to pay for pet social programs that buy votes. Too much history to deny this.
