Sort of.

Following the failure of the T-SPLOST transportation referendum in metro Atlanta last summer, the only project singled out for protection by Gov. Nathan Deal was that interchange. In doing more with less money, Deal said in a statement, the state would now have to focus on such “need-to-do” projects — and tighten belts elsewhere.

There has been constant construction to improve, widen, speed up, decongest, etc... almost the entire time. All of it was welcomed and needed as population grew. We still have massive traffic jams (rush hour parking lots) almost daily some of it made worse by resurfacing (north west 285 area) right now. Only sane thing to do is move further out. I did.

Too much history to deny this.
