honda0105 - Yes I know splenda very well; sugar derivative (somewhat) as the carbon atom was replaced with a chlorine atom. Sucralose was approved in Canada(1991) long before being sanctioned as a food additive in the U.S. (1998) Sucralose is far more beneficial then aspertame, which a true synthetic (chemical) non-caloric sweetener. This is a mute point when people are sensitive/allergic to either. I'm just saying that aspertame is far worse then sucralose. Funny thing, it was sanctioned in Canada long before the U.S; I have come to notice that far more food items in the U.S are sweetened with Sucralose(splenda), vice in Canada, when items were sweetened with aspertame; what ones, that were sweetened with splenda, are now sweetened with aspertame; suspect aspertame is cheaper. Splenda (sucralose) has been losing ground in Canada, you can find the odd item. Diet Orange Crush was once sweetened with sucralose (splenda) now you can't even find diet crush! Diet Hot chocolate in Canada has always been sweetened with aspertame. Food sensitivity/allergies have been around for a long time; some have become worse; in part, do to environmental changes (ie chemicals); there are still some allergies that are not chemical, ie. milk, egg, gluten etc., that still effect many in this day in age; many allergies are also increasing due to genetics, also!

CdnLynx: in order to feed everyone and upkeep the high standard of living (or the perhaps appearance thereof), companies must find ever more clever ways to make their products stand out. To do so, often non-quality products are employed in the production of the final product.
And often, cheaper stuff is substituted. Best example perhaps is that all hot chocolate products sold at a regional grocery chain (with the exception of the ol' Nesquick Original and Ovaltine) all now contain sucralose. Cheaper stuff than adding sugar and having to ship the heavier product. For those of us who are highly allergic to Splenda and Co. that proves to be a major issue.

"toxic chemicals" are used everyday in food products, personal hygiene products etc. ----------------- Dr.Pepper, your above comment is not a positive but a negative; your not going to win your argument with a toxic comment like that! I can't shake this thought out of my head "Sir, your a Texan, and you just shot yourself in the foot!"
Toxic chemicals, really should not be in food and hygiene products; humanity is becoming increasingly allergic to everyday products; toxicity being one of the reasons. Increases in diseases may also be attributed, in whole or in part to toxic elements that are contained within both food, water, hygiene and clothing!

"Fracking is a wonderful process that has unlocked massive amounts of fuel — provided that it does not unleash a massive environmental disaster. This is yet to be known so the industry must be watched. Water and sand should do the job; why are dozens of toxic chemicals added to the fracking fluid? The industry does not say what they are using or why these things are necessary. Bear in mind that oil and gas are good and useful products but pure water is essential for life. Don’t let greed take it away." ======================== Actually the reason for additives are fully explained, please visit Fracfocus for the information.
Then ask why many of the same "toxic chemicals" are used everyday in food products, personal hygiene products etc.

"The Obama administration would be foolish, absolutely insane, to try and stop it." Sound like Keystone XL? Don't have to wait, we all know what the EPA report will say stop, negative, terrible, doom.

If somrthing can possibly go wrong in America, you can bet the current administration is involved... like the intentional cover up by the administration of the terriost killing of an ambassador and three others a month and a half ago. If America knew the truth before the election... I think we would have a different president elect right now.

OOOOHHH! I'm sure the President is so worried about this! Sure glad that our health and safety are not dependent on the decisions of drilling industry executives.

Fracking uses a huge amount of water, which will be an issue in areas where water is fought over.

Fracking gives us cheap, affordable energy. When Obama was still a candidate back in '07 or '08 he told us that under his administration energy prices would "skyrocket." So expect to see him try to put a stop to industry efforts to provide us with inexpensive energy.
