use at least mid-grade to get a higher octane. I also use RXP and have avoided problems.

any small engine when not maintained in the fuel department will burn up the piston I have seen it time and time again

I filled my weed whipper with E10 and it worked for a while but then all the string ran out. DAMN ETHANOL

goldseeker - I've suspected for a long time that ethanol has been destroying my garden hoses and now I have proof. And the wife thought it was squirrels...

I damaged my a little when I ran over a old garden hose in tall grass the other day. Darn that nasty ole ethanol!

We've been running our mower on E10 for years without a problem and we get the Chicago emissions gas blend here too. Dad did start mixing a little Marvel Mystery Oil in the gas can several years ago too, seems to help.
