"Talks about choice but he's perfectly fine being a puppet of petroleum, and using only gasoline while railing on everyone else's right to choose ethanol, the superior choice in many ways."

The problem is I can't use the fuel of my choice due to the ethanol and corn producers successful lobbying effort to get the government to mandate the used of ethanol. You want to use ethanol, feel free, but the government should not be mandating it's use...

"He also favors oil company control of this nations foriegn policy, econony, and way of life as he rails on every alternative to gasoline that exists."

Hmmmm... Where did I say that? Sounds like you are puting words in my mouth in order to press a private agenda...

ethanol blends need to be cheaper because the driver will get less mileage from those blends, the more ethanol the worst the mileage

More than a dozen times, I have stated that I support ethanol free gas availability. I don't want you to be required to use E-10 if you don't want to. It's your engine that will suffer the damage from pure gas. To each of you sheeple your own, man.

If you want to talk about the RFS, and why it's right or wrong.... I probably will hold back on trying to defend that.

Start jumping on the oil propaganda machine about engine damage, or the lies from the big food/big oil machine about the ridiculous food vs fuel nonsense, and I will not stop pointing out these manufactured unwarranted attempts to paint an innacurate picture of any alternative fuel that may dare to compete with oil for your fuel dollar.

Hannie, you don't like it when someone disagrees with you, do ya...

And I Have read your posts. you are more a puppet than ShockJock. All i did was pointed out that you are defending an industry that has flaws just like the oil industry. You say your interested in choice but you make statements that show you only want choice as long as it's ethanol based!

reb4, read my posts. I have always promoted choice including ethanol free for all. That is a fact and all you have to do is read my posts for proof.

My objection is the lies and propaganda promoted by those, like yourself, who continue to lie to twist public opinion away from facts through misinformation.

Hannie, you ethanol bigots are always claiming you want "choice" but it seems as though you are not at all interested in offering a choice that does NOT include ethanol...

WHY IS THAT?

Are you a "puppet" of the ethanol industry?

darwinfinch...exactly! Except in our area the oil companies are raising the prices of ethanol with their high gas prices. It's so obvious what they are up to. Once we can start buying our ethanol from a plant again then we can offer much better pricing!

Where I live, the more ethanol you blend, the lower the price. E85 is cheaper than E30, is cheaper than E20, than E15, < E10 < 100% fossil.

Why do people question whether ethanol lowers the price or not. Seems pretty obvious.

Also, we don't hear people crying about the lack of leaded fuel anymore do we?

Wake up please Shockjock, it's diversity and choice in energy that will save this country. Not the 100% non renewable outdated garbage you insist is the only way to get from point A to B on.

"If you have some sort of issue with a product, it's manufacturer, or a retailer, you can stop buying the product"

Unfortunately, in the case of ethanol, I can't do so, at least I can't if I want to use my car. Lack of choice is the legacy of the corn and ethanol producers policy of forced ethanol usage...

Make your own ethanol or biodiesel for less than $2.00 per gallon.

You have to think about it as "Voting with your wallet", Shocky, much like boycotting something or someplace. If you have some sort of issue with a product, it's manufacturer, or a retailer, you can stop buying the product, stop buying from that product's manufacturer, or even go so far as not buying from retailers of said product or manufacturer. Get enough people listening to the General and starting to putting E85 in their cars when gas starts getting that expensive, that should not only show the oil companies and Wall Street that this BS will not be tolerated even if DC won't do squat, but will put needed money in the pockets of ethanol producers that canbe put into R&D work, more production, and greater availability of ethanol products. Same thing with BioDiesel, try to use that more when and where you can over straight oil based diesel if the pricing is better.

We already use 40%+ of our corn crop to produce ethanol, yet the price of gasoline is still high. So how is ethanol bringing down the price?
