Ethanol topics were being lost among the gas forums. GasBuddy thought that justified its own forum.
If there is enough interest in a bio-fuels forum they may create one.
There are several ways to express your wishes to GasBuddy, but, don't assume that because you are not interested in ethanol topics that others aren't.
You can e-mail them or go to the "Talk Back To Us" forum to express your opinions.

rick_evans, it was the bump by FieroGT on Feb 27, 2013 that had the mods lock it. The previous post was Sep 18, 2012. They don't have an automatic system, so it took them a day to catch it, which is why several more posts went in before the lock.
If you go back 3 pages to the topic E-15 just blocked, you will see the same thing happened there.
If you really want to see how it happens, try bumping an old topic and see how long it takes the mods to respond. You will get a warning e-mail though!

Huh? Check again. The last three posts to that thread were 2/27/13 and 2/28/13. There are tons of threads, inactive as far back as far as 2009, that remain unlocked.

rick_evans, your thread was inactive for over 5 months, so they locked it. They don't lock them when they are inactive, they lock them when they get bumped after being inactive.

For whatever their reasons, they prefer completely falsified scare tactics to protect oil's monopoly.
