Bollingers and Racin Gas on Park in Pinellas County sell ethanol free gas. Check out for listings of all the gas stations that sell ethanol free gasoline. Not available in NJ and many other states but at least in NJ you don't have to pump your own gas. Posters can post comments for gas prices here and note whether the station has ethanol free and it's price.

from musicreporter "is it really better?" Do you think washing your car with bottled water is really better? How about changing synthetic oil every 1000 miles is that really better? Now you have not one but three ways a auto owner can waste money & feel better....

The R90 fuel offered by Marathon is the result of a long standing dispute in Florida that spurred lawsuits and court cases. Since the advent of the renewable fuels act and the use of more and more ethanol refiners and marketers have starting making more and more sub octane gasoline. Basiclly you refine 84 octane gas hit it with 10% ethanol and you have 87 octane gas. Make premium 90 or 91 which is a sub octane premium, hit it with 10% ethanol and you get 92 or 93 octane. When this was scheduled for Florida the state Boaters group complained and filed suits against marketers refiners and oil companies. THey demanded the availabilty of clear (ethanol free) gas in the state. After court hearings, depositions and the like the comprimise was the offering of a fuel that had no ethanol. This is Marathon's version. Some companies offered it some did not. However at the end of the day the intent was not to make it available for vehicle use but rather for marine use. Because of the small amounts sold the logistics of acquiring it and the fact that most sellers did not want to deal with it the price is high and will remain high.
If you want to pay the price for it then go for it, but don't think it will become competatively priced any time soon.

Price is still $4.059 here. I have now used three tanks of the R90 in my '08 Merc Marquis GS. No big change either way. The one tank-full that was almost all highway was just under the highest MPG's I have had with this vehicle. It is pricey but I feel better with no corn in my car's pipes!
Happy New Year.

I've never heard of the designation R90, but am aware of places that sell gas with 0% ethanol at various octane ratings.
