NO, you get better mileage in your car with ethanol-free gas (3%-4%). Also, I now know why I have been having so much trouble with my lawn mower, it is the ethanol. Try taking some E10 and setting is out in a glass and you will see it separate. My owner's manual says not to use gas with more than 10% and they are not talking about E15. If you have problems finding E0 gas go to your nearest farmer's COOP. Farmers do not use ethanol gas either because it is bad for their farm equipment. You can also buy "Marine" gas. Yep, it is not good for boat motors either.

Buckster0762, Punch up http://pure-gas.org/index.jsp . . . to see if they list, or map, a Non-Ethanol source in your area.

Are you 100% sure that ethanol is causing the damages instead of paint thinners that are common part of regular gasoline? Have you ever repaired a small engine that only run on E0?

How many ethanol related engine damages did you personally experience? Is there a possibility that you are simply repeating Big Oil propaganda?
My personal experience. Over 15 years using E10 and at least 3 years using E20, E30, and E35 in my non-FFV vehicles. So far I can report 0, zero, engine problems.

Absolutely NO!!!!
It does not run cleaner and it does damage engines. To the few yeses out there...put some ethanol in a clear pint jar and let it sit for a few weeks and then look at all of the settlement. You don't see it as much in cars because you run them daily but for lawn mowers, snow blowers, boats, etc. that sit for several months, it's very damaging!

No on ethanol the way it being forced upon us. And especially no on the EPA, ethanol protection administration, not allowing E0 or if they want an oxygenate, don't forbid methanol, it is a better oxygenate, if you want an oxygenate.
Ethanol is not the right answer, since it is not the only answer. Ethanol costs much more to manufacture than does Methanol. And it competes with feed for cattle. Look at the price of meat and milk.

what is the point of this poll? 9 out of 10 are against ethanol. So what? It won't change anything. The corn lobby is very strong.
