How exactly is it subsidized? Can you list any ethanol related federal subsidies?

"Why is fuel milage less on E85 and it should not be used in towing applications? Ask the GM guy that, they post it on the window sticker. "

GM makes no claims of mileage. The mileage on posted on the window sticker is the EPA figure. That is a calculated value. The EPA test does not use one drop of E85. The fuel used in that test is a reference fuel called Indolene Clear. For obvious reasons, anyone from GM will not make a specific claim of fuel economy.

The reason GM does not recommend towing with E85 is because, many, if not all, of the GM flex fuel engines are set up to run hotter on E85. The hotter the exhaust gas temperatures, the better the power and mileage. So, because, E85 burns hotter than gasoline in most GM flex fuel engines, the fuel economy, under normal driving can is usually is very close to gasoline.

There's your answer, tabasco jack.

No, just a gimbit to sell watered down gas, raise food prices, reduce car mileage.

Should stay separate from regular gas. E85 is fine. Especially for boosted hondas and nissans tuned for E85 ;)

Yes, for now. No once a better replacement is found. It's better than having MTBE in the gas contaminating our ground water.
