I am sorry that I am just now seeing this; I would e-mail him every now and then and he did attend a few of the Get-togethers for the Twin Cities area. May he rest in peace; my condolences.

Im so sorry for your loss.
I remember seeing him around about 10 yrs ago. I think there was something in the paper back in 2002 and many joined from the TwinCities after that.
RIP, flyboy.
Thanks for letting us know and will watch for the memorial info.

CelticHeart, yes "Gunnar" was a family name. He was Gunnar B. Bjornson III. My paternal grandfather was the first, my dad was the second, and he was the third. Although in the Icelandic tradition of patronymics my family would have had the last name Gunnarsson (Gunnar's son). They would because my grandfather and father's first name was Gunnar. Sadly there will probably not be a GBB IV.

Sorry to hear about this.
I believe I met Gunnar at one get together years ago. May he rest in peace and sorry for your loss.

I wondered about his name "Gunnar". Was always interesting. Is it a family name?
How are you holding up?

He was a wonderful man and a great Gas Buddy. Hubby and I send you our deepest sympathy -
I wish we could be there for the memorial, but know we are with you in spirit. May our Lord bless you and your family in this time of grief.
