My dear Nerine, I am thrilled for you as you have finally graduated with God's highest degree. "Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of Thy Lord." Matthew 25:21
Safe in the arms of Jesus, Safe on His gentle breast; There by His love o’ershaded, Sweetly my soul shall rest. Hark! ’tis the voice of angels Borne in a song to me, Over the fields of glory, Over the jasper sea.
Fanny Crosby, 1868
I think I can hear Nerine's final words and with a note to us as well at the end taken from 2 Timothy 4:6-8 "For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing."
To Nerine's Family:
O she's reached the sunny shore She will never suffer more, All her pain and grief are o'er, Over there.
O the street is shining gold, And the glory is untold; 'Tis our Shepherd's peaceful fold, Over there.
O she's done with the weary fight, Jesus saved her by His might, And she walks with Him in white, Over there.
O she'll never shed a tear, For the Lord Himself is near, And to Him she's ever dear, Over there.
O she'll feel no chilling blast For her winter time is past, And the summers always last, Over there.
O she'll need no lamp at night, For the day is always bright, And the Saviour is her light, Over there.
O she'll form a happy band, When she'll hear our Lord's command, And in glory round Him stand, Over there.
To Nerine from us: "This is not good-bye but we'll see you soon"

Nerine, you will be missed. Though I only knew you for a while I prayed for you a lot, now your with Jesus and there is no greater prize than that. I pray for your family and friends that God would comfort them in this time of loss, that they might realize that this isn't the end for you but rather a new beginning.

I only knew Nerine through Taco Belle - but even though I dont think she was a pilot this poem seems to fit --- . . .
Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of earth And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings; Sunward I've climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth Of sun-split clouds - and done a hundred things You have not dreamed of - wheeled and soared and swung High in the sunlit silence. Hov'ring there I've chased the shouting wind along, and flung My eager craft through footless halls of air. Up, up the long delirious, burning blue, I've topped the windswept heights with easy grace Where never lark, or even eagle flew - And, while with silent lifting mind I've trod The high untresspassed sanctity of space, Put out my hand and touched the face of God. Pilot Officer Gillespie Magee No 412 squadron, RCAF
Nerine has slipped the 'surly bonds of earth' and now she has 'Put out her hand and touched the face of God'.
Death is not to be feared adn lamented -- it is but the entrance to our real life.

You don't know me Nerine but I know you thru Mary(Thanks Mary) and since knowing your situation, you've been always in my prayers. My prayers and thoughts will be with you and your family. We are happy that you are with the Lord now, giving you comfort and direction as He escorts you through the dark valley to the "House of the Lord."
Think of just crossing a river, Stepping out safe on that shore, Sadness and suffering over, Dwelling with Christ evermore! - Anon

Nerine, You are missed. I appreciate your sense of humor. Your wit is attractive. But that's my selfish side; I know you are now home with your Lord Jesus and the loved ones who have gone before you, and that your pain is over. Say hi to sweet Connie if you see her.

Nerine, We miss you, but at the same time are we happy that you have been promoted to Heaven. We will meet again, and rejoice with you and all the others who have gone on before, in that "Great Reunion" with our Precious Savior and Lord!

Nerine always struck me as a private person, but the title of the following reminded me of the person she must have been: Her memory will always remind you of her Son shine.
Sunshine Behind The Clouds by Margaret Cagle
Sometimes it's hard to feel cheerful When it's raining and gloomy outside, But I remember there's still sunshine That these rain clouds only hide.
The rain cannot take away the joy That my Jesus put way down deep. Rain may come, and rain may go, But the joy of Jesus I will keep.
There is a good reason, I know For God to send the earth rain. If I experienced a serious drought, I guess I would surely complain.
Yes, somewhere else the sun shines The same time it is raining here, As the love of God shines in my heart. It can always fill me with cheer.
Thank you for the rain, dear Lord, And thank you for the sunshine too. Thank you for all your blessings That You give us every day anew.

I found this poem to be of great comfort, and hope it comforts you, as well! "This heavenly blue butterfly will fly high in the sky, higher and higher. The sunlight will touch the blue on its wings until it seems to disappear. We think it is gone, because the blue of the butterfly is the exact same blue of the sky. We think it is gone, because our eyes are too weak to see— and it is difficult to believe what we cannot see. But the blue butterfly is not gone. It is still flying, higher and higher, nearer the sun. Blue against blue. For now and forever." - Marjolein Bastin
My condolence to Nerine's family
