He had a stroke early morning 2/6. Burt never regained conscious and passed away on 2/8/11. Burt will be missed by his family, friends, and gas buddy's.

Burt shoveled off his house roof. He had a stroke early morning 2/6. Burt never regained conscious and passed away on 2/8/11. Burt will be missed by his family, friends, and gas buddy's.

After shoveling off his roof on the 5th, he had a stroke early morning on the 6th, and never regained consciousness. He is missed greatly every day. Every visit to Carme's Inn in NH reminds me of Burt. I met him and his wife at three GB get together's. My comfort is knowing he will be happy for eternity in Heaven. Sure miss my pal!

Tried to arrange a gas buddie get together last summer when I was planing a trip to NH. Never made it to NH but Burt sure tried to make a get together happen. Rest in peace my good friend. Some thing bit right into me very early this morning and made me stay close to the restroom. It has been continuous all day. Some kind of stomach bug or something. Didn't even do my planned x-c skiing, snow shoeing, or much of anything today except for two short road walks. Until I had to return inside quickly. Rest in peace, Burt. We will never forget you!

I will forever remember that day. I already miss his humor. Burt was often the butt of his own jokes. That says a lot about a man's character, to be able to laugh at himself amongst others. Rest in Peace Burt and God bless your family.

Williams Feb 10, 2011 12:05 am The Conway Sun (NH) Burton S. Williams, 76, of Province Lake Road in Effingham, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2011, at Portsmouth Hospital in Portsmouth. He was born May 11, 1934 in Medford, Mass., the son of the late Edward and Marion Williams. Burton had lived in Belmont, Mass. for many years while working in Watertown, Mass. as a self employed electronics technician. In 2000 he and his wife, Mildred moved to their home in Effingham. Burton was a member of the First Baptist Church of Medford, and served as a Deacon and a member of the Bond Class. While living in Effingham he and his wife attended the Center Effingham Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mildred (Ward) Williams, of Effingham; a daughter, Deborah Williams, of Medford, Mass.; a son, Donald Williams and his wife, Joanne, of Acton, Mass.; three grandchildren, Jessica, Alyson and Christopher Williams; a sister, Lorraine Westcott, of Brewster, Mass. A brother, Kenneth Williams, predeceased him. Calling hours will be Friday, Feb. 11, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Lord Funeral Home, Route 28 in Wolfeboro. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 12, at the Center Effingham Baptist Church, Route 153 in Center Effingham. Burial will be in the South Effingham Cemetery in Effingham in the spring.
