I buy at Kroger I get .10cents a gal off for every $100 I spend on food & ect. except for beer & booze...senior I manage $200 to 400 a month after the month is up no more points are added to that month & u have 30 more days to cash in. My biggest amount (u can buy gift cards & that doubles in price like Bob Evans rest. $25.00 card gives you back $50.00 in points and occ. they will run a special & give you 4X's the price...I bought a Best Buy (I was going to buy a computer for $500.00 & got the card for $500.00 and received 2,000 points so got $2.00 off a gal bought 20 gal. when it was $3.09 a gal. gas was $1.09 a gal for me! felt like I won a small lottery card! stupid but fun!

Yes, I only use Shell premium because, it's the only fuel that does not use ethanol or equivalent, because with any down time it clogs fuel lines and plugs up carbs to the point they will not run.(this is especially important in small engines that don't run often ) so unless you like rebuilding carbs please share this with all who need to know PS. yes fuel stabilizer will help but no guarantee

Currently, I always buy SuperSave, cuz I like to have my gas pumped for me. Used nothing but Husky for 20 years 'til they pulled the station down. That, and the fact they no longer could sell 91 octane as Regular, at Reg price (thanks, Mr. Harper).

The cheapest! I don't care about brands. All are the same except they claim to use different additives.

All gas is the same except for the additives that brand may add. I buy the cheapest I can without going out of my way.

I buy the cheapest but there was a time in 1986 when nothing but midgrade unleaded from BP would go into my then vehicle 1983 Nissan Sentra.

I also buy the cheapest fuel I can find. However, at least in Houston,NW when I been checking out stations that seem to have the lowest prices, I have been finding they already have raised their prices again.

X1962X - "I only buy American fuel that was drilled, and refined here in America, and Is American owned company."

You may think you do, but you've actually got no way of telling where the fuel came from.

I get regular usually, because it is the most cost effective for my vehicle...Usually it is BP, Sunoco or now Shell

I generally wait to make a trip and combine shopping, and get fuel at the least expensive station along the way.

I buy at stations that have higher octane ratings for regular (87 or above), have reasonable prices and are on my driving route. I have discontinued buying 85 octane because I had pre-ignition when temperatures were above 90 this summer.

If I cannot find 87 octane regular, I will switch to mid-grade to get higher octane. It's worth the extra cost to avoid possible serious engine damage.

I try to find gasoline that has not been contaminated by ethanol. Using E-10 reduces fuel economy (increases price) by about 5%, and has several other drawbacks. To check value calculate cost per mile driven. Cost per gallon is meaningless if fuel economy varies.
