No, however, I did buy a 99 Ford van which gets only 15mph, instead of my car which got 25mph. My car was getting better mileage, but it was costing me an arm and a leg to repair. $3,000 last year alone. It was also a 99. But has expensive Volvo parts. I also drive about 40 miles per day to get to and from work. But at least that has not changed.

Yes. I flipped a car into a corn field end-over-end 3 times, took out a telephone pole, had to be lifted flight for life, chemically-induced coma, broken neck & right shoulder blade, head injuries that affected my short-term memory for a month, 7 stitches, months of grueling physical and mental therapy, and am lucky enough to not only be alive today, but fully functionable physically and mentally. Hence, I'm a smarter, more alert, sober driver who's always wearing her seat belt. :)

Still waiting for these lower gas prices you speak of. Prices jumped 30 cents a gallon yesterday (some places in the city more).. My stations were $3.099 yesterday morning and $3.399 in the afternoon. Some places south of Indy went from $3.019 to $3.399

Driving habits haven't changed a bit. Still have to make it back and forth to work everyday. But, gas prices could still manage to come down a good ways.

I have always tried to combine errands into one trip, never leave engine idling, and try to ride-share whenever I can.

MY driving habits have not changed much in the last 10 years. I have always tried to conserve fuel by timing stop lights.

No, still driving less and taking transit/bike and investing the difference. Go ahead, consume more and fatten my retirement check...

Yes - we make a conscious effort to do ALL our errands in one trip instead of multiple trips to town during the week!
