These stations I have seen charge anywhere from 5 cents to 20 cents extra per credit. Some stations are real sneaky and can charge 20 cents extra for regular grade but only 10 cents for midgrade or super.

I consider this if I need to fill up and I don't have cash on hand. Chevron, Mobil and 76 don't charge the debit fee, but they do charge extra for credit. I use shell because they give me a 5% discount. Imagine finding a station that charges an extra 6 cents for credit. It wipes out most of the savings. And since we got off on the wrong side of the highway and had no u-turn options I am never going back to the shell in Barnesville, PA at exit 81 PA 131
