i reset the trip mileage to 0. Then I start looking for cheap gas. For city driving I know thatI need to fill my tank before that gauge hit 30 km. But if I do see cheap gas that rule goes out the window. I just fill up.

I always fuel up before light comes on. Can't afford to let it get that low with price of fuel.

I always refuel before the warning comes on. That's a no-brainer with today's prices.

I don't usually let it get that low unless I'm trying to run a fuel additive through or if I'm wanted to change fuel grades.

I always try to fuel before I get to less them half a tank. That will avoid the gas pump to get damaged.

Usually take it as far as I can before stopping for more gas. Once the light goes on, I have about 25 miles left to go.
