I have figured out how to do this and because I have become rich as a result, I feel sorry for my fellow gas buddies and have written a new guide on "How to Win A Gas Card", which I would like to share with as many folks as I can. For a small processing fee... LOL

Actually, I have never won a card and hope none of our fellow buddies have fallen for these types of scams.

Buying a prize ticket is not a bet.
If there is a stradgy(sic) for optimal time to purchase a prize ticket then the drawing is corrupt.

It would be nice to know how many prize tickets were redeemed in each day's drawing. Perhaps I'd have a better chance saving my points for Tuesday rather than buy one each day?

How is this related to the "Suggest a GasBuddy improvement" category?

I agree, Gas_Buddy. If everybuddy had that information (assuming it exists), the odds would suddenly change.

But having the information that would let us make a better guess might be fun! The Suggestion Tracking List includes something similar. Almost two years ago a member proposed the disclosure of "the points the member has 1) when the prize was won, and as well as 2) their current points (as is shown now. "

In that thread, C/K noted that, "As long as we're at it, we might as throw in the most interesting stat: what was the number of tickets it took to win a gas card? Regardless of how many points a winner had/has, how many did he spend to win?

"Of course all the stats for this should be saved so we can look back on the history of it."

I'd also like to know the total tickets redeemed each week.

So if I understand the suggestion correctly, you're asking the Gas Buddy organization to let you what the "stadgy" is that they should use, so they know "what time to bet and how much to bet" so you have a better chance to be a gas card winner?

If there was a best time, and they told everyone what time to "bet", wouldn't that mean that everyone would be then doing the same thing, meaning that you would no longer have an advantage by betting at the time Gas Buddy tells you to?

C/H, there's a TBTU thread, in which the OP asks what the strategy is and a similarly titled San Jose thread. So one is purely local and one is national. They appear to be covering all their bases. No problem there.

This thread is quite different in that the OP is suggesting an improvement: That the site should let everyone know the betting strategy. This thread is not asking for that strategy.

Did you start a thread just like this in another forum? I think so. Never hear anyone refer to gas card "betting."

you can put in many tickets and not win or you can put in one ticket and win

It's like playing the lottery. Buy your tickets and cross your fingers!

Righhht... I'm sure somebody has the inside scoop on this winning secret and will be here soon to respond to your request.

GB doesn't publish any information about the odds, number of outstanding prize tickets, unclaimed prizes or much of anything else. So if YOU find out be sure to let US know, ok?
