When a topic is no longer available, please also remove it from the list of five topics that appear along with are gas prices. It is very frustrating when I click on an intersting topic, only to get the message that is is no longer available. This happens way too often.

Yeah accidentally putting someone on ignore will cause this and so will the topic being removed by the moderators.

I’m not certain of this but I believe that when the Mods remove a Newsville discussion topic they also remove the link from the Home page but not from the Daily News Article Discussion forum, so you cannot get the “Topic no longer available” message from the Home page unless the member who posted the article has been put on Ignore.

"I put the submitter of a news article on ignore and recreated your problem..."

Good to know. I thought the "topic no longer available" error was only caused by GB removing a news article from the site.

I think the problem is on your end. I've never seen this problem but I had a hunch. I put the submitter of a news article on ignore and recreated your problem. If you want to see those articles, I suggest you go to Manage Ignored Members and unignore the submitter if he is on your list.
