I am not sure if this has been discussed before or not. At least I have not seen anything recent on this subject.

What are the chances of increasing the max points users can earn each day? I would think increasing gas price posts from 5 to 10 or 15 (or some other number), since a poster can get credit for 4 gas prices if one gas station lists the three grades plus diesel fuel.

Increasing the max points, at least for posting gas, could increase the number of gas stations that get reported. At least for me, I post gas prices in the morning on my way to work, and again on my way home from work. And on weekends I post what I see, if and when I go out and about.

I know this has the potential for bogus gas prices being posted. I would hope that those who care about the integrity of the gas prices being posted would report those who are being less the truthful about the prices being posted.

But not everything as he used to claim...it is worse now as he ignores items that had some buy in while throwing things on the list that garnered a lot negative feedback...go figure...

I wonder if CK ever cleans the list up?
It seems to be a cluttered mess to find anything.
But then we've all got to have a hobby.

Yeah Sloopfoot. That wiki is like a garbage can. Full of all kinds of stuff.

Sloopfoot, the Suggestion Tracking List is at http://gb-tracking.wikispaces.com/, though as others have noted it isn't filtered so any and all suggestions are in there - and also as noted, it isn't an official GasBuddy list so there is no guarantee that it will even be looked at when GB decides to make improvements.

@sloopfoot

Don't worry about the wiki - it is a trash can of ALMOST anything and everything thrown out there as collected by CK regardless of value and filtered solely by CK as to what goes on the list. It is not an official Gas Buddy sponsored list.

Several threads I checked had bad links to the wiki.

Even Wiki doesn't want to track this, lol. It would be interesting to know how many times this has been suggested though.

Why? Because regardless of the merit of the suggestion, CampKohler tosses everything on that list. It's sorta like the junk drawer in your kitchen.

Sorry TxJeans; I have to disagree with you, Anything is possible if you set you mind and talents to it. The PTB just don't think it's of enough importance for them to bother with.

I agree with Driver5150. 750 seems just about right.

If I was going to do anything to change points earning it would be to unlink the replies in NEWSVILLE from the point earning...but the way the site is built, I am sure that would not be easy to do.

I like the 750...it keeps it honest. Some posts are just for points. Yes or No answers. I am still waiting for the 80 mpg pickup truck.

Interesting, Toadman7. Based on the time you have been a member, you should have earned roughly 3,000,000 points yet you only have around 26% of that total. And you want to increase the amount you can earn?

I post at least 20 prices a day. I only earn points for the 1st 5. I post them to benefit others, not to earn points.
