No Minneapolis/StPaul metro area? Cape Coral, Florida; Roanoke, Virginia; Augusta, Maine; but no Minneapolis?

Yes, it could be closed now that I found it. I'm not requesting a change of name.

It seems, as Scrapheap alluded to, the Twin Cities identifier is simply, at this point, tradition, and something that I would think everyone in the "Twin Cities" area would recognize, and that most other Gas Buddy members would either figure out or not care about. Maybe I'm in the minority but I've always seemed to know what the "Twin Cities" referred to.

Unless DoctorV (as the member making the original suggestion) is adamant that the "Twin Cities" identifier should be changed to something else, maybe this thread could be closed.

Kind of funny considering that GasBuddy started as a local company in the Twin Cities. It is the oldest site on the system.

I know what their nicknames are. I didn't think this site would use nicknames to organize the data.

What does the census bureau have to do with this site, DoctorV? Heck, I've lived in Pittsburgh all my life and even I know that Minneapolis/St Paul is referred to as the "Twin Cities"! And you live even closer! I'll bet the "Quad Cities" really throws you for a loop!

Scoutmaster, I didn't realize the census bureau called the Minneapolis/St Paul metro area the Twin Cities. Should I look for Seattle under E for Emerald City? Or Cincinnati under Q for Queen City?

What a sec? You didn't know that Twin Cities meant Minneapolis/St Paul? Seems to be more of a user issue than a site issue.

The organization between the main GasBuddy site and the state/regional sites does leave something to be desired IMO.

For Pete's sake, this site must be run by an ice head. Thank you.

I would consider the "Twin Cities" area adequate.
