Awesome App... so far.

But we need a feature/option which eliminates gas stations behind us.

I've seen some of your other comments on directional issues.... So aware of this... my suggestion:

On city streets, possibly difficult to implement at first for this feature. But when you are traveling on a major highway, can't you code it to be generally aware of the direction of that travel and prioritize display of gas stations in that general direction?

I believe this would be hugely helpful.

I believe you could patent the concept and beat Yelp to it! (And then charge THEM when they implement it.) Remember, it is "First To File"! Oh, and if you do sue them, tie a condition to the settlement that prevents them from biasing reviews toward paying (extorted) customers!... Ha Ha!

Neat idea, as long as it is toggleable (is that a word).

Certainly useful for the case where you're reporting prices (and have no reason to turn around). Also useful for the case where you're seeking a purchase, if it's inconvenient to turn around (as the OP indicated, when you're on a major highway).

Anyway, as long as the feature can be toggled, it shouldn't get in anyone's way. So it's just a matter whether it's worth the implementation effort, I guess.

The limiting of the list or map to what is ahead would be useful in the case where he is not seeking a purchase, but is price reporting, which would be most of the time for an active GasBuddy; in that case he would not be interested in any station he had already passed.

This could be accomplished by a switch to select "Vicinity' or "Ahead" views. Ahead would allow the user to reduce the stations appearing to just those stations the user might report. Additionally, a preference for the side scope of Ahead view would allow the user to specify in tenths of a mile how far laterally from the route he would be willing to go to report a station, i.e. how wide his "electronic blinders" should be.

I was okay until the parts about "sue them" and " Ha Ha!"

The app, I've found, is even more awesome if there are prices others have posted so I can see them, regardless if they're behind me or in front of me. But that's just me
