There's a place for notes in the edit-a-station page, and I've seen that some gas stations have some content in that notes field. However, the only way I have been able to see those notes is on the edit page; they don't seem to appear on the station details page (the one you get when you click the station name in a search results, etc. Am I missing something? Thanks.

Retired-Coastie, "rookie" in this context was referring to total point score, not author status. The training wheels are removed for anyone with at least 10000 points, which includes you. ("Junior members", as I prefer to call them, are restricted from accessing the MSL, and from certain functions that have had a history of vandalism.)

GOBUTLER
"why do i keep getting a pop up for "is there a discount for members? Once it is answered, why does it keep asking. once and done! please"

Are you sure that you aren't getting the pop-up for different stations? It's also possible that you're getting it for different grades of fuel or for diesel if you're posting separately.

You may not like it the pop-up but your answers will help the accuracy of the Master Station List. Better, to me, to have a little inconvenience now to ensure the long-term value of accuracy, but that's just my opinion.

What is MSL?
and as far a "Rookie Author" status, well I could go into each topics pages and enter a one or two word reply, but that is rather lame.
But, it would raise my Author status. Dumb

Roger, the short answer to your question is no, the station notes in the MSL are visible only within the MSL, hence they are unavailable to rookie members and the general public. As CK notes, this is a stupid situation but don’t look for any change.

Ideally there would be several comments/notes fields:
1. Comments per grade/fuel visible where pricing is visible
2. The MSL Station Notes that would be visible if clicked from where pricing is visible
3. A Version Notes field in the MSL for recording the reason(s) for any change(s) to to the MSL record that would be overwritten by each change

But this is evidently not an ideal world.

Nope you are not missing something. There are a a lot of features on the MSL that don't appear anywhere else.
