There isn't a way to remove a topic from the 'Show topics that I participated in' list, is there? There's stuff in there I haven't followed for ages but it's still there and intermixed with other topics I'm paying attention to. It's not a big deal, but it might be nice to be able to suppress that.

This suggestion has been added to the Suggestion Tracking List as a new topic on an existing subject.

You can have a favorite topics list you can modify.

If the ability to remove singular and individual topics form the "Show topics that I participated in" list (I have no idea what or the amount of coding that would need to be done to provide such an option as is with the "Favorite Topics" list), then how about (rather than asking the moderators to remove them or to delete the entire list) a simple "Clear list" button so that the member can delete the entire list. It can be an all-and-done button, and if the member wants to save topics to his/her Favorite Topics list before clearing all, the member can do that.

And, if there's a "Clear list" button, and the member has after-the-fact regrets, so be it.

Maxstar, I suspect you are right, that this site needs major refractoring to make it more flexible and able to grow and change with the needs of the greatly expanded membership. I don't know how new/old the forum software is, but it would be nice if it could be updated with a more robust or modern b-board software. But, I suspect that is not in the cards.

Sometimes software becomes too bloated with fast fixes and multiple band-aids that it becomes more practical to build new on new platform and lose the detritus and start fresh with the content that is good.

Will there finally be resources under OPIS, or will the resources become even less with time?

I agree the current list is nearly useless because the results include all the JFF participation. If the results that came back were grouped and displayed by category it would be a plus.

Of course as is the case with the vast majority of other suggestions, the members will debate and offer suggestions, but nothing will happen. If the reason suggestion after suggestion is that it is not an easy fix, perhaps the site needs a new platform as the current one may not be flexible to handle changes.

Right -- there's no way to do that, and hence it's often a source of regret for having ever participated in the JFF category. If you have the foresight to know WHICH topics you're going to want to look up in the future, then you can use your Favorite Topics List; otherwise, you have to sift through the crap mixed in with the real topics.

There have been several requests in the past to implement "Show topics that I participated in RECENTLY", but it's probably not an easy fix.
