I'd like to see a "Last Active Date" on the user record rather than just 0 consecutive days. It would make it easier to know if a person has disappeared or just doesn't post on a regular basis.

>> That would take up real estate <<

Don't know about your screen but mine is only using about 2/3 of it...lot's of white space on either side.

That would take up real estate -- should something else be sacrificed when this is added, or should the font become smaller, or should it scroll horizontally as needed? Even without the inertia issue, such a change is nontrivial.

Correct but if you log in then it would update the last date they were on the site. It was just a thought I had when I was working on a program here at work.

While I am on a roll I'd also like to see on the forum listing the person who last updated the forum. Just my 2 cents worth.

This was good suggestion the 1st time and is still a good suggestion. And you are correct DiannaFan, consecutive days doesn't update if you don't log on.

I think someone might have once suggested that the statistic should be positive for consecutive days present, and negative for consecutive days absent. This would be a neat way to incorporate the information without having to create a new field and allocate new screen space, etc.

Yes, this would seem to require making it update every day, rather than waiting for the user to perform an action. That might make it hard to implement; there's probably quite a bit of inertia in the code base.

I think it's even more complicated than what maddog57 said. I think I read that the consecutive days stat doesn't update if the user doesn't log on.

This suggestion has been added to the Suggestion Tracking List as a new topic on an existing subject.

Zim: Surely you could agree a tad more if you just grabbed with both hands and s-q-u-e-e-z-e-d out one more drop of assent. (You've at least got to give it the old college try.)
