Hello,It might be nice if we could use the Gasbuddy app to label certain stations as "favorites" . Perhaps a maximum of 10 "favorites" and then list just our favorite gas stations?

Make it easier to designate a particular station as a favorite. Maybe a link on the little info form that pops up when you click on a station on the map view.

Anyone know if there is a comparison list of features that exist or don't exist for the different apps? I am seeing that there are far more differences than I might have expected. I know they have different programming constraints, but I would have thought there would be a strong incentive to make them as similar as possible in regards to what they can do, even if not implemented exactly the same due to constraints of the system and the available programmers.

Pssst, scoutmaster. This does not exist in the apps for iPhone, Windows Phone, or Blackberry.

Psst. This already exists. In the MSL for each station there is an "Add To My Favorites" link. CampKohler just added it to his totally un-endorsed by GasBuddy.com wiki because he probably didn't know this existed.

Nice idea. But posting the highest priced gas stations is as important as cheaper ones.

TxJeans - //What might be added for the future?//

Well, the same capability that is available on Android. That's all.

It would be nice if it could be done. If not, then I'm not going to lose any sleep over it.

What might be considered for the future?
Gas Buddy told you how to label stations as Favorites, if you switch to Android you will have it on your APP. If not, your Win8 phone will allow you to access them via the full website. I can use the full website on my FEATURE phone, so surely a Windows SMART phone can access the Full Site.

PS Gas_Buddy is a regular member. Officials / Mods have a big RED BUS for their "vehicle" (like you have a green car).

It was only my intention to help make the Gasbuddy app better for mobile users.

I am currently using Gasbuddy on a Windows 8 by HTC phone.

It remains my hope that this might be considered for the future and I will continue to think of new and exciting ways to improve this wonderful app.

Many thanks to all who replied.I especially appreciate the admin comments and feedback.

I see Gas_Buddy responded regarding how to have favorites on the main site as I was trying to get you the best directions.
Also, if you use the Android APP, you will also see your FSL in the APP.
Apparently it is NOT available in some of the other APP platforms.

You can make stations your "favorites" by clicking on a station on the home page or one from your search and then (after the station "opens") mark it as a favorite, or you can mark stations as a favorite from the Master Station List.

Your favorites will be displayed near the bottom right of the Gas Buddy home page (on the full website) under a box titled Members Favorite Stations.

I will admit that I am relatively new to the Gasbuddy app and I'm not trying to make it do everything you can do with the regular website.

I was just thinking that it might be nice to label certain stations as "favorites" - something that I do not see how to do on the regular website...

The app isn't intended to replace the complete website but rather is supposed to supplement it. And, as you noted in another thread, "I have recently found that using the mobile site "m.gasbuddy.com" works very well when you want to access your full account from your mobile phone."

The problem with "Perhaps a maximum of 10..." is that the next person's "Perhaps a maximum..." will be "All of our favorites...say limited to one screen worth of favorites...", etc. One size doesn't necessarily fit all, especially when you're trying to make the app do or have more and more.

Keeping the app as simple as possible makes it easy to serve its presumed purpose for the maximum number of of members, enabling members to know prices at the closest gas stations either in a list by price or by distance, or on a map as you change your current location. In my opinion.
