A better idea is not to publish the price. Maybe if enough people DON'T buy the crap, it will go away and all the problems it has brought with it will too.

Though there are a large variety of E-85 capable vehicles being sold and driven on the road these days, the number of stations that offer services for these vehicles has not yet risen a substantial amount.

Until E-85 becomes more widespread and gains popularity, it is still considered an alternative fuel not listed on GasBuddy.

We hope to one day include ethanol indicators and other fuel types within the sites and apps, but for the time being continue to display prices for Regular, Midgrade, and Premium gasoline, as well as diesel.

Thanks for your patience as we continue to develop and improve our mobile and web services.

gsbcmo: This may seem like only a fine point of semantics, but are you suggesting that GB include E-85 in the site or merely asking a question why it doesn't?

E85 is sold around me but only by a few stations. My vehicles can't use it.

Once E85 becomes a mainstream grade, Gas Buddy will probably add it.

It may indeed have been asked as a survey question in the past -- I'm not motivated enough to go look, just now.

I don't know of any stations that sell E85. Thus, I would not be reporting E85 prices. If nobody else in my area knows, either, then someone who intends to find the lowest price for it will find no help on this site -- even if it were a supported fuel type.

How can you say that users of this app and site don't use E-85??? This is my first post and I have been using E-85 for the past few months (the app for years) and hate that I have a very hard time finding pricing and locations when I'm traveling. Please, please add E-85 to the app and site so you can began to see that there are plenty using it and we would post prices. Without the option of posting prices there is really no way for you to determine if we use it unless your sending out surveys that I don't know about. Sorry for the rant but please add E-85 as a choice. Thanks

I'm not sure why this was asked as an app question, when E85 is in fact unsupported by the site as a whole. In any case, the usual suggestion for dealing with currently unsupported fuels is to start a topic in your local forum and then use follow-up messages to post the current prices.

Perhaps you will look at previous suggestions about ethanol here and come up with one of your own.

Because Gas Buddy management has determined that, at the present time, the three primary octane grades of gasoline and diesel are the the primary used fuels by an overwhelming majority of Gas Buddy members. As additional fuels become more prevalent or dominant, you'll likely see changes to the website and the apps.

Bur for now, relatively few members use E85 and most members post fuel prices for the three primary octane grades and diesel.

Because E85 is neither reported nor displayed anywhere on GasBuddy at this time.
