I live in Michigan and Florida. Gradually our time in Florida is increasing. Now we're in Florida seven months out of the year and I'm a Florida resident. But my reporting shows Michigan because that's where I considered home when I established the account. Is there any way I can change my resident state on my profile? Ideally, I'd like to be able to switch it back and forth when we're in Michigan and when we're in Florida. Is there a way?

Like Gas_Buddy said, I wouldn't bother changing your home site 2x a year. If you would prefer it be Florida now, follow the given suggestion to have it changed.
You might also drop in to the local FL site and introduce yourself (and Michigan when you are there). I know in the Cape Coral site, there is a snow bird that announces to the local crowd his arrival and departure.
I am "native" a Michigander transplanted now full time to FL.

Because you can post gas prices from anywhere at any time, and because you can make Favorite Station Lists for both your Florida and Michigan gas stations, there's no real reason to switch back and forth other than to let people know you're a Michigan person or a Florida person at that time. Your points and lists standings all stay the same (just that your list home list standings are listed in your home area.

As an example, while I'm a Marylander, I spend a significant amount of time in the Northern Florida/South Georgia region, and post prices in those areas on a regular basis, as well as posting for the D.C. Metro area (D.C., Maryland, and Northern Virginia) when I'm there (as well as for the stations along the way between those areas. It's simply easier to pick and keep one "home site" than change it several or more times a year just to show everyone my home area. No one has ever objected to my posting accurate prices for areas outside my home site.

That said, if you want to change your home site, simply contact the moderators via the Help link at the top of the page, when the next page opens click on the Website Feedback link and leave your message requesting the moderators change your home site from Michigan to wherever/whatever you want it to be.

Again, while you can change your home site multiple times, you might want to simply pick one home site and, while you're travelling in or spending time in the secondary site, just continue posting from your home site. It's simply easier, in my opinion.

Just as kwzh said, contact the mods. You can post gas prices from anywhere you want, doesn't matter what your homesite says. :)

See FAQ #40. (We just had this question, btw.) Short answer: you have to ask the mods. Either the "Contact Us" link, or the "Inbox" feature at top right corner, is good for this.
