I know there's the map feature on mobile, but it takes forever to load on my iPhone w/crappy 3G. I want to check interactive map before I leave work to drive all the way from South Austin to Round Rock, and I want visually see the cheapest place to get gas on the way home along the IH-35 route. Going down a list and trying to figure out the intersection is too much work.

Sorry, everyone for the confusion. I didn't state my OP with detail.

What I meant was, I wish there was a web site feature for interactive map. I know the mobile feature has it, and I like it. But I also wish for the same feature on the web site, so I don't always have to check my phone when I'm near a computer.

Thank you, Scrapheap, for pointing out that there IS a feature on the web site that currently does this. I had great difficulty finding it on my own (as I'm new to the site), and I should've spent more time in doing so. I appreciate you pointing it out to me.

I guess this suggestion most is now invalid because I made a mistake and overlooked the feature that already exists! So sorry, everyone!

I hope this clears things up.

I think CK was right on the money. I misinterpreted the OP's post and CK corrected me.

I wasn't commenting on the OP, a mobile issue, so much as Scrap's recommendation of the MGP link, which is of course a full site feature.

I think, CampKohler, you're incorrect in suggesting that the member wants to use the mobile app and the map isn't available. He/she wrote that a (the?) problem is that it takes a long time to load the map feature because he/she has 3G capability. It seems, if we're going to infer, that the member is suggesting that Gas Buddy load faster on his iPhone app.

Short of suggesting that the member consider an alternative to "3G connectivity", I'm not sure that Gas Buddy can overcome any "crappy" connections he has for his iPhone.

Perhaps, rageofmars, you can better explain what you're asking of Gas Buddy management, or better explain your suggestion.

This needs clarification. Because he said, "it takes forever to load on my iPhone....," I infer he is wanting to use the mobile app, whereas the MGP link is at the bottom of full site pages.

Put your mouse over the blue Maps tab at the top, then click on the white Map Gas Prices tab. Alternatively you could click on the Map Gas Prices link at the bottom of any page.
