After easily entering gas prices when traveling, it is frustrating to have to go out and go to my browser, then reload Gas Buddy to be able to enter the full site and get the remainder of my points.

The mobile versions of GasBuddy are designed primarily to search and report fuel prices while on the go.

Additional full website features such as daily news articles and and forums will remain as full-website features only.

If you have a device which one of the apps can be downloaded for, odds are you can access it's mobile browser view the full websites.

There is nothing wrong with the app. It does what it is supposed to do. It's not the web site. It's an app! Does anyone know of another app that is associated with a website like this that does everything the full website does?

"There have been lots of suggestions about specific full-site functions being added to the app, but I believe this is the first one that just comes out and wants all point-earning functions added (not that that's a bad thing)."

That sounds an awful lot like "Let's get rid of the limitations of the Gas Buddy app so that when you click on the app it automatically opens a full website from which you can take part in substantive discussions or post in more fun categories to earn you maximum points; allow people to see, read, and comment on the various news stories that people think are of interest, and, among other things, allow people to post gas prices just as they used to be able to when the app was minimal. Let's make the "app" function as an application that opens the website."

That seems to be what's being asked for in the "...that's not a bad thing."

What is wrong with the app as it is, for the primary purpose of seeing and posting gas prices? (That's not saying that links and/or hot buttons to the full website or to the fuel logbook, etc.) wouldn't be useful.)

Just my two cents, but as most people know, I prefer the simplicity and ease of use the app offers.

However, it would be nice if the app had a nice easy link to bridge out to the m.site and full website.

Or you could just save a link to the mobile or full website on your mobile device. It's not that frustrating.

I don't want everything in the APP as Gas_Buddy indicates, that is not the intent of an APP to be a full website.

However, it would be nice if the app had a nice easy link to bridge out to the m.site and full website.

It's been said repeatedly, and alluded to by the moderators, that the app wasn't meant to duplicate the full website; it's primary purpose is to enable people to know gas prices, and to post gas prices so that others will know gas prices. Adding additional options to the app will either bog or slow down the app, defeating the primary purpose of the app.

By "having to go out and go to" your browser, I assume you mean going to your computer and logging onto the full website. You can, if you want, use to he browser on your phone (if you have one) and access the full website, "and get the remainder of your points".
