With 110 low lead AVGAS prices in my area ranging from 6.25 to 7.50 per gallon, what about starting an aviation version of the site?
There are a few reporting sites, but none are very good.

The last part of the sentence after the comma indicates, at least to me, that the OP would like GB to start an aviation fuel site. AVGAS is used to fuel piston powered aircraft.

"Huh???? I think the OP is proposing Gas Buddy
start an aviation fuel site..."

Since outside of a race track high octane (100 or above) gasoline is not available to street racers, it was common to obtain it from airport fuel facilities.

The OP wasn't clear about the intended user being vehicular or aviation, so I was allowing for either.

I'll bet a whole new universe of californiaavgasprices.com, etc. could be cookie-cuttered out with almost no work, using just state sites to hold all the airports. After it got running awhile, the features could be customized for flying and that's about all you would need to do.

Is that my engine knocking? No, that's opportunity knocking!

"The problem with tracking aviation fuel is that for cars the info is not very useful since most airport operators won't dispense aviation fuel into a car, and even if they did airports are usually quite far apart from each other to be useful to a driver looking for the lowest price."

Huh???? I think the OP is proposing Gas Buddy start an aviation fuel site similar to this one.

The problem with tracking aviation fuel is that for cars the info is not very useful since most airport operators won't dispense aviation fuel into a car, and even if they did airports are usually quite far apart from each other to be useful to a driver looking for the lowest price.

For pilots looking for the lowest price the problem becomes one of planning the flight so as to land at the airport with the lowest price yet have enough fuel to get there but not so much fuel that the landing and refueling are too much trouble for a few gallons. Planning the flight path might also require a sizable detour to land at the airport with the lowest price. Pilots planning their flight details can always call the airport operations office and ask what the price of their desired fuel is at that time along with it's availability and that of other services they might need.

First, there already is a website for aviation fuel, just not a Gas Buddy website. You can access it at:
Airports and aviation fuel

Second, as maxstar said, aviation fuel is a specialty item (just as propane, CNG, racing fuel (i.e., 100-plus octane), and other fuels are). Gas Buddy has said multiple times that it's listing only the most generally used automotive fuels (regular, mid-grade, premium gasoline and diesel).

Because aviation fuel is generally limited to areas near airports, just as racing fuel is found in limited areas, a Gas Buddy site for aviation fuel would have limited use. What you could do, if you're interested in finding aviation fuel in your local area (or near local airports) and you don't want to use the link above, you can start a discussion topic in the Buffalo discussion category, and, in the original post, indicate what it is you're looking for or want people to post in the way of pricing and pricing information, and provide an example.

In the next post (after the post starting the topic), post information for your first (or more) airport or city or whatever limitation/area you think would be useful.

An alternate site for aviation fuel (the above one is more popular and provides a listing for a wider area than only what was asked for, but I found the following one more useful) is at:

Aviation fuel
A hint when using the above website: Type the city name only, not the city and state (for example, type Buffalo, not Buffalo, New York)

A much more comprehensive/detailed website is at:

Aviation fuel

While it's much more detailed, it's more difficult to navigate the website (no pun intended).

As for the original suggestion, I don't think that Gas Buddy needs to replicate what's already available and useful.

I would say that aviation fuel is a specialty item and therefore beyond the scope of the site.
