Might be a good idea to move the ignore members link or have a confirmation pop up. Is it just me or is it too easy to click on that especially the mobile site?

I like this idea as well. It's far too easy to ignore someone accidentally.

"How about moving he Ignore link to under the profile location?"

I like this idea. I had to add an OK'er to my ever growing ignore list in this very thread. I shouldn't have to visit their profile page to simply ignore them.

We already have a link to each contributor's profile page. On that person's profile page, there's a link I can click to invite them as a buddy. Maybe that's also the right place to have a link for ignoring them -- get it off of the forum page entirely, since it's relatively rare to need it and too easy to get it by mistake.

When I accidentally hit ignore I got the message and un-ignored immediately, but for some reason it didn't take. The user's post still did not show up, and I had to go back to un-ignore again. I only had problem with the small screen and not when on desktop.
I think your proposal makes good sense to put it on the profile with makes sense, but the real estate is a bit tight. That white space between the base info and the user's stats is nice.

Scoutmaster, apparently it doesn't rise to the level of the suggestion that gas STATIONS provide discount of X amount off ???? gallons for reporting 50 prices points...or some such nonsense.

But, I want to add my vote for the solution proposed by jrsva. I just today accidentally added someone that started a thread I participate in by accident while using a small device and wondered where my "favorite" went. :-(

Has this suggestion been added to the wiki, CampKohler?

Don’t hold your breath there Medic; improvements at GB come at a sub-glacial pace.

Any word of a fix for this accidentally clicked ignore twice today. Fat fingers on small screen.

Let's do both (or what is more likely, neither).

I would still prefer to move the Post a Reply button as suggested below. For me the Add to Favorite Topics button is more subject to unintended clicks than the Ignore button and having the Post Reply button sandwiched between these two and above the OP just makes no sense at all.

Another suggestion that has received no kicking to the top of the to-do list is this jewel. I believe it a better fix, because it eliminates trying to put the target where stray bullets won't accidentally hit it.

A screen shot illustrating this suggestion is posted in the “GasBuddy Info” photo album on my profile page. I should have included this link in my reply just below.

The “Ignore” link is probably fine where it is. It has been suggested numerous times over the past couple of years that the “Post a Reply” link be moved from the yellow bar at the top of the OP and just above the “Ignore” link to the center of the blue bar below the OP. This would get it away from the “Ignore” link, which I believe is your issue, and it would also be much more convenient, especially for a topic with a long OP. I’m referring here to the standard web site; I have no idea what it looks like on a mobile device.

The Mods have expressed no interest in implementing this suggestion.
