Only been a user/reporter since July, so maybe I'm too inexperienced with this. Using iPhone app. When I touch Find Gas, it always opens to List view. I find Map view much easier to use for myself. I looked for a preference setting to choose how it opens, but found none. If I missed something, I'd appreciate someone pointing it out. If I didn't, I would suggest that as a feature.

As I read it skyguy91, you are asking that the user be able to set the default view when the application starts. Currently the phone application opens to the list view with no current way to change that default. You are asking that the user be able set the map view as the default opening view.

Not a bad idea. Something that could added to the setting similar to choosing miles or kilometers, or gallons or liters.

Thanks for your reply, Gas Buddy. I had found those settings and had it set by Sort By-->Distance. I tried Sort By--> Default and it still opens in List mode, rather than Map mode. I tried many iterations, closing out of the app and reopening, but no change. I just don't find a way to have "Find Gas.." open with the map already displayed, rather than pressing the button. I believe my version is latest (1.16.1).

Rereading your reply, I think you're explaining how to set up the listings. I'd like it to NOT show the listings, but instead show the map with the various prices scattered around my current location.

Using the Gas Buddy app on the iPhone 4S, at the main screen, top the "Settings" icon.
This will open the "Search Preference" screen.
To the right of the "Sort By" entry, tap the "Default" icon.

Choose how you want to your screen to default the listings; you can sort by distance or price.

You can further sort by "Fuel Type".
