"This addition to the app would increase my use!"
Are you saying that if "this addition" was there that you'd post fuel prices more frequently (the primary purpose of the app), or just that you would use the app more frequently (in order to log your fuel purchases)?

For fuel and maintenance logging on my iPhone, I use Gas Cubby. Not sure if there is an Android version or not. It has a free, ad-supported version and a paid, ad-free version. Can't remember what the other differences were, but I eventually opted for the paid version.
With smartphone apps, it makes sense to use separate, best-of-breed apps rather than one monolithic app.

How about a log for car maintenance?

Definitely need an app for logging fuel. I don't care if it's built into the existing app or if it's a separate app. Suggested it long ago, but nothing. I have never created an app, but I cannot believe it's too difficult.

This suggestion has been added to the Suggestion Tracking List as a new topic on an existing subject.
Having no app-writing experience I don't know whether starting all over again with a separate app for the logbook is most efficient, but at least from a political point of view, a separate app for the logbook is a good idea if everyone is going to resist changing the original app.

There used to be a mobile version of the website --- did it go away? I used to access it and the full site both from my "feature" phone.

It'd be nice if there were a mobile version of the website; then this would be much easier for smartphone users.

Actually, it'd be nice to have a second app just for the fuel logbook. That would allow the main GasBuddy "app [to] focus on reporting and displaying of fuel prices" while addressing the needs of users who wish to track their fuel costs in the fuel logbook.

Use a Web browser on your portable device, and from there, access the Fuel Logbook page of GasBuddy. This is in keeping with the design philosophy of having the app focus on reporting and displaying of fuel prices.
