I'd like a more convenient link to the news articles page. Maybe somewhere in the drop-down menus along the top of the page.

For Pete’s sake Don (and other Mods), a lot of long-time, serious members have been griping about this for years. It is a no-brainer. Newsville is a major feature of this site. As such it should appear in the menu at the top of each page and in the site map at the bottom of each page – not just one obscure link that appears on one page only. This just can’t be that hard. Git ‘er done.

Don, it's never made sense that the only place you can access the "All Recent News" page, or Newsville, is via that obscure link.

Why not put "Gas Prices 101" in the "Gas Prices" menu and add "News" as a stand alone item? The subheadings could include: Today's top 5, GB Blog, Submit News, All Recent News, and Recent Top 5.

If something like this is not in the list of suggestions, it should be.

The other obvious place it should be linked is in the site map at the bottom of each page.

Thanks. I realize the link is there, I just hate having to always go back to the home page, then scroll down to find it and click it. I'd like to be able to go straight to the news articles page from any other GasBuddy page.

Hi DoctorV,

Under the Top 5 Recent News\GasBuddy Blog area found on the home page, you can select the All Recent News hyperlink to view all of the user submitted news article content.

I hope this helps.

I use the Android app for posting and searching for prices. I use the website mainly for reading news articles and the forum. Seems like the link to news articles is hiding in the corner. I think it should find a place in the banner menu.

I'm glad this is in the tracking list -- it came up a number of times in the old Newsville threads and probably belongs in the current one.

Until they add it, about the best you can do is start a jff thread with the link in the heading and add it to your favorite theads. Maybe "Post links to your favorite news articles here" would be a decent title and then the lead post would include a link to Newsville.

Maxstar, I am right with you on that one! But who knows now with OPIS what the future will bring.

It looks like the Media Tab is currently used so that the Media can easily contact Gasbuddy. I am not sure the contact information, posted articles and the blog should mix. As is the news blog takes up plenty of real estate on the home page so in my opinion, it is fairly convenient right now.

If resources are available, I would much rather see a cash/credit flag or the MSL tied to what is available for price updates.

This suggestion has been added to the Suggestion Tracking List as a new subject.

One way to do this is to rearrange the banner menu as follows:
1. Rename "Media" tab to "News"
2. Put all news-related items under the News tab:
...The five news articles
...The blog
...What's New
...The items formerly under the Media tab.

It would like like this.
