Alerts for specific zip code prices lowest price rising/lowering; either in general and/or favorite stations.

A Postal Code would be necessary for Canadian gas buddies, versus the ZIP code used in America.

And then there is the opposite problem in rural areas, where a single zip represents a number of different towns and villages. If GB looks up only the main town where the PO is located, it will miss stations in outlying areas but within the same 5-digit zip.

This suggestion has been added to the Suggestion Tracking List as a new subject.

The author has been extremely frugal with words in his suggestions, but in this case I think I can extract the essence: when the lowest price in a ZIP changes (rises or falls), he wants to be notified by E-mail. (He includes prices from the general population of stations or those on his FSL, but of course the latter is a subset of the former, so this can be skipped.) This doesn't seem like it would be too hard to do except for one point and that is how GB treats ZIPS.

When a ZIP search is done, the ZIP is used to look up the city name and then the city name is used to do the search. Does that mean GB can't deal with ZIPS per se, which would be a big stumbling block*, or would there be no problem with checking on stations within a ZIP for the changes? I don't know the answer to that.

----
*The stumbling block is that you would get notified of changes at all stations within the city instead of just those within the ZIP. For cities with a dozen or more ZIPS in it, the notification would be of too big an area.

Is that a suggestion or a question or just word salad?
I have no idea what is being asked/proposed here.
