Why are some stations missing? How do you add a station. These are frequently used stations that do not even have an "old" tag.

You don't have the minimum 10,000 points required to add new stations to the Master Station List, but you could post a topic in the Philadelphia Discussion category of the forum asking a senior member to add them for you. You can use this form to see what information you will need to gather.

Also you might ask other local forum members about the specific stations you can't find in case you are just missing something. It's rare that stations (especially "frequently used" ones) are not in the system.

If you're asking why some stations are missing from the home page of price listings, it's because prices remain posted (visible to members) for a certain amount of time and then are automatically removed; depending on your specific Gas Buddy location, the time a price is visible (and the station listed) can be 12, 24, 36, 48 or up to 96 hours. The reason for this is so that members aren't lulled into thinking that an older fuel price is still current. The "old", most recent, fuel price post may (in fact) be current, but over the course of time it's likely to have changed, and thus the price (i.e., the station) listing is deleted.

The bottom line is that if you want to see stations and prices listed, post prices for the benefit of others. And hope that others will post prices for your benefit. Not trying to be cynical, but in more than 14 months membership you've achieved a points total that many have achieved in under a week and a half; you've averaged less than one gas price post a week; you can expect that your price post will have remained visible for about two days; if others posted for the same stations as you, at about the same time as you, the station and prices for that station wouldn't be visible very long. They would be, using your word, "missing".

Want prices to and station to not be missing? Post prices for the stations you can, and hope that others do the same.

Stations are added to the Master Station List (MSL). You must have 10,000 points, which is roughly 11 days of site participation, to do anything with the MSL.
