CampKohler: The tool I am describing would not have any parameters. In the mobile app, you have a check box option in settings to "Show All Stations" or just display stations with current prices. It would be the same thing but searching by city or geographic area. Not a real important improvement but one that would eliminate a few steps in finding a station to report a price. As for adding the station to my favorites list. I am not referring to stations that I report all the time. In my travels all across this state, I travel through hundreds of small towns and may only be reporting the price this one time, but still want to report it. And the mobile app doesn't work all the time. As the forum heading says, this is just a suggestion.(and for some reason, every time I click on the gas price map, it take me to Cleveland, LOL)

This suggestion has been added to the Suggestion Tracking List as a new subject.
While the object sought by this suggestion can currently be achieved by the methods described in previous posts, searching for a station in a comprehensive manner from outside the MSL (without any limitation due to price ages) is a new idea. The fact that the Map Gas Prices map can display all stations (regardless of price age) says that the information "has hooks" and could be used to accomplish this suggestion.
I would like teddytrow to describe better what he envisions. Would this search be merely a Search Gas Prices that has no reference to prices, or would other parameters be involved, such as address? And would the Search Gas Prices limit of only certain major brands, missing some mom & pop stations (unless you choose All Stations) be unacceptable? Would instead this need to be an MSL search with the controls for it setting out on the home page where they can be used by anyone?

Expanding on what Gas_Buddy said, if you click on Gas Price Maps, zoom into the area where the station is until you see price balloons, change the time in the lower right hand corner of the map to Show All Stations, then all stations in the MSL should appear. Click on the appropriate balloon and you can report the prices. If you click on the star, you can add the stations to your favorite stations list.
Alternatively you can click on Report Gas Prices. If you choose the right brand of station and area, the program will come back with a list of all the stations in the area that meet those parameters. Simply click on the right address and report the prices. If you click on the Add to my Favorite Stations box in the lower left hand corner, it will be added to your favorite stations list.
Your favorite stations list will appear below the list of the highest gas prices on your home page and is an easy way to report prices in the future.

Wouldn't using the map feature already in place or adding stations to your favorites list be easier and do what you're asking for?
