Almost every station has a different price for regular gas if you use cash or credit, so why doesn't the app have blanks to enter each price? There's so many times when I go to a station because the app says it's the lowest in the area, just to find out that's the cash price and I rarely use cash because my truck has a 36 gallon tank, so I don't feel like carrying $120 around with me all of the time.

It would be nice if we could sort prices by credit or cash only in the list format as well.

You can view the FAQ or your local area level price posting guidelines for more info on how to report cash and credit price differences properly on GasBuddy.

GasBuddy was originally developed to help users share the lowest fuel prices in their community. With this in mind it was decided that, in areas where cash and credit prices exist, the cash price should be reported over the credit price.

This is because in areas where cash/credit prices are applicable, the cash price is the lowest price available to everyone outside of membership discounts, club cards or promotional offers.

Users are to post the cash price where it exists. If the station does not offer a cash price, the standard price should be reported.

The comments field can be used to describe the price difference, but this is not required.

I agree because sometimes the price posted is for credit and i might skip that station because its 10 cents higher and then i drive past and see the price for cash was lower.
Also costco only takes debit cards or amercian express. So when the station is listed there should be some note or icon to denote payment method.
