Some have a preferred retailer based on location or points/rewards program - but still want best local price. Not sure who would be the one to drive that type of initiative - I would think work for both sides to implement would be required.

As is stands now a station can read the prices on this site and adjust their prices if that is what they would like to do. I do not view that as an improvement.

Why I would just post a fake low price and then quickly run down to the station and demand that they match it. Not good for GB nor the station. This site does help keep prices down when stations are aware that there are savvy clients out there using this site and going where the price is better. It kind of forces a perpetual price war. Really, Gasbuddy can't practically do anything about prices, they just report them and hope that the ones who do control them will be influenced.

That, when you go into a gas station, you tell them you saw the price on Gas Buddy for X amount per liter or per gallon, and they'll match it? Is that the suggestion, or are you asking something entirely different than what I seem to understand from the origianl post.
