When I log in, I would like my favorite stations to load, not the states high and low lists. Maybe there could be a preference selection for which list to load.

I do see that a list of my favorites loads at the bottom with 3 sets of boxes. I dont' like the format my favorites are displayed this way and want to see the most recent prices in the same way as a search for stations.

I really like the way my favorites loads on my mobile device (android) and would like that view.

You can also just use the Enter key to do the submit. I sometimes do this even if I forgot to select from the time menu first, but I can click back to a price afterwards and submit from there.

Another suggestion would be for my favorite list to have a submit button at the top of the list as well as the bottom of the list like it is now. You have the time box on both the top and bottom. Just mirror the submit button on both like the time box. I usually place all my prices in the list then select the time and then need to go to the bottom of my list to submit. Please change.

chambleetiger:

"agreed - fav station list please"

You already have the ability to start your own "fav station list". It's towards the bottom of the home page. And anytime you post a price to a station that's not one of your favorites, there's a box you can check to have the station added to your "favorites" list.

You're asking for what's already available.

On the Android app you can choose to start at your home screen or stations nearest you. If you choose home then you have the option of going to your favorites.

This suggestion could be accomplished by tweaking the FSL. Add a configuration field to each FSL, so the member could "have it his way."

The following switches, separated by spaces, in the Display Configuration field would customize that list:
-r = hide price reporting fields
-d = hide price displays
-s = hide street address
-x = hide cross street
-m = hide metro area name
-r = hide reporting member handle
-a = hide price age
-b = hide map button
-i = hide MSL match icon
-c = hide comments (temporarily overridden by Unhide Comments button) or

+switch, where switch is one of the above switch letters and would hide all items not specified.

Example: A Display Configuration field of either "-r -s -x -c -r -b -i -c" or "+d +a" would display only a price, brand and age for each station in that list. No switches would give the current FSL.

Bodine2u:
"Favorite stations and localities should be available to load as soon as you log in."

Favorite stations do load on the website version of Gas Buddy as soon as you log in; they're located towards the bottom right of the home page.

Or are you asking something different?

Hello, I am looking for what I believe to be the same request as vortecpowr.

I have saved the 5 stations I visit most often as my Favorites. When I go into my Android App, I can click on the red heart for "Favorites" and immediately see the prices at those 5 stations. This is VERY useful. I would like the same thing on the website, yet I can't seem to find a way to get that information. I'm really surprised this is missing from the site. It's the main reason I signed up for an account - to be able to easily see my Favorites pricing.

I also agree that the best spot for such information would be at the top center of the webpage after logging in (the spot where "low prices" currently is located). Just move everything down and put the Favorites at the top.

This would be a great improvement! Thanks for considering it.

This is the photo

I see what you're describing here, you would like to see an alternative view of the Favorite Stations List so that it looks like the top 15 highest/lowest price boards (this being, without the price entry boxes, just prices displayed, with the same color scheme, etc) - is that correct?

You'd like to see a list of prices that are similar to the regular search results, without the price updating feature? The only issue I see with this is that the FSL is created for both allowing quick access to displaying and reporting prices for user's preferred stations (ie. do not need to search to find a station that might have already expired on the site).

If you do all your price posting from your (Android) mobile phone, then that UI is different in the fact that you must select the stations in the FSL to bring up the price entry fields, and the site automatically displays these (unless you have the fuel type entry fields "clicked off").

The image is a screenshot I uplaoded to an album. I just right clicked and used the image location URL. Thought it would show up, but doesn't appear to. I'll get these things figured out in time.

This suggestion has been added to the Suggestion Tracking List as a new subject.

Thanks for clearing that up. So to summarize you want "FSL to have an output format option identical to price lists."

I can't get your link to produce an image. We do have a forum Insert Link button to allow posting links, however there are two considerations:
1.) The URL field defaults to "http://", so when posting external links, make sure you erase that so that you don't wind up with "http://http://" at the beginning, which would not work.
2.) The URL field has a maximum character count (which is discussed
here), and, as your link would exceed that, you would need to use one of the URL shortening sites to generate one that would not exceed that limit (also discussed in that same topic).

Your link is to a GB server. It would be interesting to know how loaded your image on it (if that's what you did). Or is it some existing GB graphic that you are trying to show us?

Screenshot of what I'm seeing. Finally figured out that the 3 boxes were the mid/ premium/ and diesel placemarks to enter prices. Somehow I had lost regular. I've fixed that and now only show regular.

I would like to select the view of my favorite stations so it looks like a normal search result, without the price entry boxes. I do all price entering from mobile phone and not here. I would also like to see a way to show my favorite stations first. Currently, I see the states lowest prices first, highest prices second, and have to scroll to the bottom to see my favorites.

I sent him a whiteboard asking for more info. I would be interested in what his desired FSL format look like.

I'm not sure exactly what you mean.

On the home page you only want to see your favorite stations instead of the list of the lowest prices around your city? What do you like about the Android view?
