From the news on the front of this site:
"Last week, many areas didn't see much fluctuation, but there certainly were some outliers last week. Florida, Ohio and Indiana saw notable jumps at the pump, while Michigan, California and Oregon saw the largest declines." Article did not say why the three states are seeing notable jumps at the pump.

You can find drunks any time and place. It was probably a funny site seeing someone duck taped to a wheelchair. Don't know if they have a brig aboard a cruise ships. I did hear that they have a morgue, but I don't know if that is true.

Gas Cat: That's the right attitude! In general, everybody gets along on a cruise. The only time I witnessed an incident was the time when I was taking the little one to the Lido deck and came across a very drunken fella that was being pinned down by four crew members.

An elderly gentlemen offered to shield the little one from the scene as we made our way past. He did a good job taking her attention away, as she didn't ask me anything about the incident.

Later, as we were heading back to the cabin, I noticed the drunk was literally duck taped to a wheelchair to be brought below decks (do they have a brig aboard a cruise ship?). Kinda brought a comedic conclusion to the night.

That was a few years ago on our first cruise...things that you tend to remember...duct tape and all!

Need_Batteries, Spring Break is going strong right now in FL. Anyhow, if there are a lot of children and young adults(?) on the ship, so be it. We will still do "our own things". And, just sit back and enjoy.

Gas Cat: I'm planning to fill up on gas early next week. It seems that the gas stations always raise the prices prior to a long weekend.

I just rotated my tires and found three screws in two of them. Good thing I have a tire repair kit. That kit saved me a lot of moolah down the stretch.

Although the plug kit says temporary repair, I've found them to last right up to the life of the tire. With $15 to $20 charge per tire repair at the dealers, I've managed to save quite a bit over the years.

Gas Cat: The Lightning will definitely get in the playoffs. The Canucks are in second place in their division, but the L.A. Kings are right behind them by two points.

I'm hoping that Calgary will do well enough for a playoff match up with the Canucks, and let L.A. and Anaheim duke it out.

Alaric76: Rain better than snow! I'm waiting for a dry spell to mow the lawn. The grass is getting taller and taller. There was a break in the weather this morning, so I was busy weeding and planting...but then the showers came back early in the afternoon.

Got my daily dose of fresh air. I'll get me fix of hockey in the evening.

Gas Cat: Our trip was also a seven day voyage and we also left and came back on Sundays. Should be quieter on your trip as all of the kids should be finished with their Spring Break by then.

I talked to one of the room attendants and he wasn't looking forward to the next group of passengers after our trip. They were expecting a lot more kids (which usually means a lot more of them making more of a mess inside the cabins and of course, more of them running around.

On the Allure of the Seas, each attendant was responsible for 16 rooms with services for each room three times a day (morning, mid afternoon, and dinner time).

Gas Cat, my wife always grins (in a leery way) every time I drop by the local Home Depot. She no longer stays in the car while I'm there as time seems to slow down while I'm inside the store, and time quickens when she's in the car...(sorta like the Twilight Zone).

I guess it doesn't help my cause when I sometimes come out with not only the part I'm looking for, but also extras...sigh...

I'm pretty much well hooked on LED bulbs. I still have several 9W cfls installed and am waiting for them to fail before replacing them with LED bulbs.

According to this site, gas prices in my area are about 17 cents higher then then national average. Even higher then most of FL. Must be the stations trying to make a few extra bucks because of the vacationers.

Well we could have done the walk even carrying the new light fixture, plus some more bulbs. But we purchased a 6' folding table to replace a table that has been broken for years. Because it folds, we could put it into the trunk of the car. It kept sliding off of the cart if we did not hold it on.

It figures, the laundry room light burned out last night. That fixture had a non-standard bulb and could not be replaced with an LED. So, we went to Lowes and purchased a new flush mount fixture to replace the one in the laundry room. This one will take LED's. Had lunch at Cracker Barrel Restaurant since they share the parking lot, though way to far apart to walk even if you parked in the middle of the parking lot.

Lighting, looks like if someone wanted to do some redecorating inexpensively the TOT would be a great place to go. From the pictures, rugs, chairs, tables, etc. Probably a good place to get some new items for your wardrobe also. Do they usually sell most of the items?
