Good morning!

I ♥ Life!

Snowplowerguy, It was a cold day, Like it was Nov.

Have a folded piece of aluminium foil in the front and back of my cc's. Make sure that pending charge has all the interest removed. Call them back, ask why the delay? Mine took long at two months.

Finished the incredible "12 Years a Slave," a true story of one man's fight for survival and freedom. In the pre-Civil War United States, Solomon Northup (Chiwetel Ejiofor), a free black man from upstate New York, is abducted via a ruse that he has a violin gig in NY, drugged, and sold into slavery.

Facing cruelty (personified by a malevolent slave owner, portrayed by Michael Fassbender), as well as unexpected kindnesses, Solomon struggles not only to stay alive, but to retain his dignity.

In the twelfth year of his unforgettable odyssey, Solomon's chance meeting with a Canadian abolitionist (Brad Pitt) will forever alter his life. If one has no idea of what a slave went thru before the Civil War, this story must be seen. A movie everyone should see, experience, and learn. 5 of 5 stars.

"12 Years a Slave" is free at this site. A clean site w/o malware, phishing, or fraud. Some AV's give false positives. Have been using this site for 6 months.

One raw, damp to the bone day yesterday w/the temp at 41° (5°C) at 9 AM. Changed into jeans and a thick winter long sleeve shirt before heading out at 9:30 AM. Visited the Recycling Center to dispose of my items to avoid them collecting

Drove to Whitefield, to visit my pal the meat mgr, bought nothing, stopped at that town's library to order ‘The Terrorist’s Son: A Story of Choice,’ from the NH State Library.

The high temp was 52° with a nice steady light rain arriving in the afternoon. Saw lots of hues of autumn color on the trees during my drives. Temps will see the low 40's and mid 30's (11° to 3°C) for a week. That'll boost the leaf intensity up a notch, as will the rain.

Civil twilight is 5:54 AM EDT. Night is 7:28 PM.

Sunrise: 6:24 AM. Set: 6:56 PM.

Length of day: 12h 34m. Length of visible light: 13h 33m. Tomorrow will be 3m 3s shorter.

The temp is 45° (7°C), the high is to be 56° (13°C), with partly sunny skies in the forecast.

Have a splendid day!

Hi Snowplowerguy

Thanks for dropping in

Midnight, well, November 1st, last year, mine was charged 2 $1250 cash at 2 different cash banks and a $40 gas charge in Illinois. I have never been in Illinois! They uncharged the $40 charge, but the 2 $1250 charges remain on my bill as "pending"! Police said the crooks have a scanner that gets your number just walking be. Go to Walmart and get a scan proof case for $10

I like Tora, Tora, Tora also. That tells the story from their side.

gotta post, almost midnight

Good morning!

I ♥ Life!

Lots of people forget the terrorist bombings in Boston. Grew up there. Can never forget.

Tora, Tora, Tora, and Pearl harbor are my faves, yet the sneak attacks, loss of life, and our ships is not pleasing.

Right after my posts yesterday morning a 2 hour nap was taken. Was seeing dbl during my rounds early in the morning and images were a bit blurry. Felt refreshed and much better after my rest.

Began to see the end of the movie that was watched 2 days ago. Then got a phone call from my bank in Boston that said my credit/debit card from them was most likely compromised as it was used recently at Home Depot.

Apparently the hack into the Home Depot stores nationwide could be the largest such theft in history. That was 9 days ago. My bank is playing catch up to 1,000's of customers. Will have a new cc # and it is being processed and sent.

Decided to go on a drive to Whitefield. Went to the store my pal is the meat mgr. He was not at work on this day noticed the meat prices are still increasing slightly. At least red grapes were on sale for $1.79. Nice and large, firm, and juicy ones.

Returned to town to get my mail, then shopped at Shaw's. Bought some bone-In country style pork spareribs for $1.98 a lb. Returned home to Separate split chicken breast from the bone and then fry some breaded chicken breast cutlets in evoo.

Had a fabulous lunch along w/a salad of leaf lettuce, baby spinach, homegrown tomatoes w/lots of veggies.

The forecast called for clear skies and 62 (17C). There was no sun and the high was 52 (11C). Almost chilly for shorts and a t-shirt. Saw fishermen on the CT River and peeps at the store in fall jackets.

Lows will be in the 60's (17C)for the next week. In between possible rain storms today and Tuesday.

Civil twilight is 5:53 AM EDT. Night is 7:29 PM.

Sunrise: 6:22 AM. Set: 7:00 PM.

Length of day: 12h 37m. Length of visible light: 13h 36m. Tomorrow will be 3m 2s shorter.

The temp is 36° (2.2°C), the high is to be 58° (14°C), with a 40% chance of rain.

Have a tremendous day!

Midnight, Boston should have been on the terror list and I hope little brother dies for his part in it!

I have 2 versions of Pearl Harbor. Try to watch one every year as I did for 9/11.

No rain today, but sure looked like a good chance around 5 PM.

Been working on the Memorial list for my ship's reunion next week. Finally have it up to date. Went to Grand daughter's school game to watch her at half time band performance. They did 1 number and marched off the field! Was very disappointed. If I had of known, would have gone to brothers grandson's game.

Hope you have a "Happy" weekend

Good morning!

I ♥ Life!

Boston adds 4.15.13 to the terror list. An 8-year-old boy, a 29-year-old woman and a Boston University graduate student from China were killed, and more than 170 were injured.

Own several WWII film. The Pearl Harbor attack always makes me tear. Todd is also my hero and our countries.

Left early to take the pleasing drive on the CT River hwy (Rt 135) that was resurfaced, then the lines painted. The river and the flat valley looked so peaceful.

Could see hues of color beginning on many trees. Night temps will drop into the 40's and high 30's (3-8°C) for the next week. That and lots of rain will allow the leaves to become brilliant in the next 2-3 weeks. Looking forward to the autumn splendor.

Bought at Big Papa's Mkt were softball size oranges 67¢ ea, largest cantaloupes ever seen $1.75, baseball size lemons 2 for $1, limes 5/$1 and baby bella 10 oz for $2.25.

Also baskets of #2 (slightly bruised) orange bell peppers 75¢ a lb, 1 lb bag of baby spinach $3, a 12 oz (2 pints) pkg of raspberries a foot long $2.50, blackberries 6 oz (1 pint) $1.67, and the largest avocados ever seen for 78¢ ea.

Visited my pal at Rite Aid and spoke about baseball. Bought lots of items at WM. Even bought coat hangers. My ongoing collection of ball game t-shirts ran out of hangers.

Saw light, steady rain, the kind that is so gentle and needed to raise the water table for the coming winter. The temp was a cool 65° (18°C). Did wash the car and allow the rain to rinse it.

Civil twilight is 5:52 AM EDT. Night is 7:31 PM.

Sunrise: 6:21 AM. Set: 7:02 PM.

Length of day: 12h 40m. Length of visible light: 13h 39m. Tomorrow will be 3m 2s shorter.

The temp is 52° (11°C), the high is to be 64° (18°C), with partly sunny skies in the forecast.

Have a delightful day!

Been posting on 911 and about to go to sleep.

Todd Beamer is a hero in my book. I have a tee-shirt that says "Let's Roll"! Have 2 versions of Flight 93. Watch one every year on 9/11, as I do on 12/7.

Have a good night

Good morning!

I ♥ Life!

Have realized that instead of post fave topics was clicked on instead. Also know that post has been clicked and the next day the post vanished.

Today is the 13th anniversary of the Sept 11, 2001 attacks on the Pentagon in Washington DC and in New York City. Thank God a group lead by Todd Beammer, crashed their passenger jet (killing all 44 people aboard including the four hijackers) in Shanksville PA. A total of 2,996 perished (2,977 victims, 19 hijackers.)

Only 14 people escaped from the impact zone of the South Tower (floors 77 to 85) after it was hit and only four people from the floors above it. Individuals escaped from as high up on the South Tower as the 84th floor after initial impact. They escaped via stairwell A. At the Pentagon, all 58 passengers, four flight attendants, and both pilots on board, as well as 125 occupants died.

Hikers in NH will fly flags on 48 4,000 foot (1,219 metres) summits on Saturday, noon to 2PM as an annual memorial. A thousand spectators will attend. A peace and reflection gathering afterwards is held. Went to the summit of Mt Liberty (4,459'/1,359m) 3 days after the attacks and raised the first flag.

Saw a fantastic movie that the review will eventually be typed. Then got into seeing Laila Ali, daughter of Muhammad, fight 5 bouts. She is 24 wins, 0 loses, w/21 knockouts. No draws or no contests when she retired in 2007. Laila is now a fashion model at age 36.

Also saw her pull thru for the win in the Ali vs Jacqui Frazier-Lyde fight in 2001. This was the First Pay Per View boxing card ever to be headlined by women.

In 2008, Jacqui Frazier-Lyde, an attorney practicing law, was elected in Philadelphia as a Municipal Court Judge. Laila Ali is the eighth of her father's nine children and his youngest daughter. Laila Ali is now a fashion model at age 36.

Mixed Martial Art (MMA) Cat Zingano (Cathilee Deborah Zingano, {née Albert}, born July 1, 1982) was seen in several MMA bouts on youtube. Cat is an American mixed martial artist who competes in the Ultimate Fighting Championship. On April 13, 2013, she became the first woman to win a UFC fight by technical knockout.

By 11 AM the temp just touched 60° (15°C) and it was time to go outdoors. Tackled the strawberry plants. Have new flowers, no further fruit in the everbearers. Picked enough blueberries for my next cereal ,watered the plants, then mowed 25% more of the lawn.

Enjoyed a healthy salad w/two homegrown tomatoes, lots of leaf lettuce and plenty of fresh veggies. It was topped with evoo and then cottage cheese. Sat in the sun enjoying the cloudless perfect summer day that reached a pleasing 72° (22°C).

Civil twilight is 5:51 AM EDT. Night is 7:33 PM.

Sunrise: 6:20 AM. Set: 7:04 PM.

Length of day: 12h 43m. Length of visible light: 13h 42m. Tomorrow will be 3m 2s shorter.

The temp is 58° (14°C), the high is to be 69° (21°C), with a 90% chance for rain. It is raining lightly.

Off to the market and other stores for some light shopping.

Have a fantastic day!

Good morning!

I ♥ Life!

Snowplowerguy, Greetings!

happy, Don't cha want to play in the sandbox?

Had a smashing time early in the morning playing as the Terran forces defeating the Zerg and the Protoss during a war in space. Lots of joy and fantastic entertainment in the real time strategy game Starcraft. (2:07 min)

Watched a Law and Order: SVU epi, then "Criminal Minds." Rec'd a phone call from the Oral Surgeon's Office. They acknowledged my Ins Co will pay the cost of surgery.

Still unhappy, as that office could have settled the matter early last week or even the week before and last Thursday's oral surgery appointment kept. They are the only game in the area that is less than a one hour drive. Monday, Sept 29th is the makeup surgery.

Did my laundry, then made pork chops for lunch. Enjoyed walking thru the gardens performing maintenance and dreaming of expansion next year. See that much of the daylilies, ferns, and brackens are yellow and some are brown.

The fall vivid colors will peak in the northern NH mtns in just a week or two weeks. Lots of rain and cold weather increases the intensity of the reds, oranges, and yellows. Here is the foliage tracker for each NH region.

Voted at the Town Hall yesterday. It was the NH Primary.

Civil twilight is 5:49 AM EDT. Night is 7:35 PM.

Sunrise: 6:19 AM. Set: 7:06 PM.

Length of day: 12h 46m. Length of visible light: 13h 45m. Tomorrow will be 3m 1s shorter.

The temp is 40° (5°C), the high is to be 73° (23°C), in bright sunny skies.

Have a fabulous day!

Good morning!

I ♥ Life!

My hair felt thicker w/o the shampoo chemicals. Ph balanced. No smell or residue either. Soft, shiny hair. Costs a dime. 3 years w/o shampoo. Read a few of the naysayer comments and say "Bah!"

One has to experiment w/the formula the first couple of times. Then it is smooth sailing. Rinse well before, during, and after. Have a quite the head of hair. A friend lost all of his at 26 y/o.

Many hikers here grouped together for gatherings at the trailheads for hikes at 7 PM. Many summits will see overnight guests.

Am enjoying "Law & Order: Special Victims' Unit" on Netflix. It will end its streaming availability on Oct 1. It is the last call of the month for any of the L & O Series. New shows & movies will be available.

Played a 90 minute war w/the 3 races in StarCraft. A pleasing way to spend the early morning until the 46° (8°C) temp began to rise for the day. A most pleasant 75° (24°C)in full sun with clear skies.

Rec'd a phone call from Montreal Quebec. It was Iristel Inc. They are a Canadian provider of Voice over Internet Protocol services, and is designated as a competitive local exchange carrier.

The Co was founded in 1999, and is headquartered in Markham, Ontario, Canada. Allowed the digital answering machine to answer. No message was left.

Sliced a half of chicken cutlet cut two strips of turkey bacon and built a heaping plate of veggies to make a salad. Added 3 scoops of cottage cheese on top and add evoo.

Went out and sat in the sun and luxuriate in my mostly veggie feast. Two of the smaller homegrown tomatoes were used in the salad. They taste better than any tomato ever purchased. Sweet, firm and juicy.

Read for an hour, then mowed the lawn closest to the road. Trimmed down the three gardens of various colored daylilies, watered all the plants, then did further garden maintenance.

Cut much of the 4' tall crocosmia 'Lucifer' that has gone by bnear to the ground. This will direct sunlight on the slow growing and newly planted, still low to the ground Echinacea Purpurea Magnus and the new growth of Shasta 'Alaska" daisies.

The wildflowers see 3 types of blooms on the annuals. Some of the perennials are 10" tall. All the plants are overcrowded as the seed was hand broadcast too thick, as though it was grass seed.

Civil twilight is 5:48 AM EDT. Night is 7:37 PM.

Sunrise: 6:18 AM. Set: 7:08 PM.

Length of day: 12h 49m. Length of visible light: 13h 48m. Tomorrow will be 3m 2s shorter.

The temp is 48° (9°C), the high is to be 77° (25°C), in bright sunny skies.

Walked around my property at 12:30 AM by the light of the full Super Moon. Four constellations were seen. The Moon cast long shadows of the trees. Twas eerie. Happy harvest Moon.

Have a wonderful day!

Yes, police closed the interstate, bumper to bumper, we slowly made our way to the onramp.
That's almost what I had this morning, but cereal was 1 cup of RB crunch with 1 cup of cheerios with mixed berries and 1% milk!

Told wife your shampoo concoction. She said girls have been using vinegar as a rinse for many years. Won't do me any good, don't have much hair.

Paper today said that Criminal Minds will be around a long time, just reruns until new fall series.

Have a GR8 2sday

Good morning!

I ♥ Life!

Police closed the interstate. Then the traffic crawled out the exit ramps?

Was someone else in the photos. Gas was 95.9 a gallon in 1999.

Enjoyed some early morning PBS shows while having a 2 berry combo w/bran flakes in 1% milk. Wasn't entirely full so two silver dollar blueberry pancakes were prepared w/real Grade A maple syrup. Delish!

Played some StarCraft: Broad War (2:08m) and thoroughly enjoyed using my "Dark Archon" from the Protoss race to permanently mind control a Terran into building an entire army and air force to be my ally and fight the Zerg. It was such a delight.

Watched some Criminal Minds epi's, then took a 2 hour nap. Have been using 1 tbsp baking soda into 8 oz of warm water after soaking my hair first, rinse it out, and use a 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar in 8 oz (dbl each mixture for long hair) for the conditioner, then rinse it out. My third week.

The hair is super clean w/o the chemical coating shampoo leaves that requires daily use. Your hair doesn't smell like vinegar. It just smells like nice, neutral, clean hair, that is soft and fluffy.

One can go several days w/o needing the baking soda shampoo, just a water rinse will clean it thoroughly. (Not w/hard water). Had my doubts until it was tried. After the 2nd use, the shampoo chemicals were washed away. My hair is silky soft and more shiny than ever.

Baking soda and vinegar. The above formula is the only correct one. Have poo pooed the naysayers. It works fabulous. My third week. Have even added a tbsp of epsom salts to the baking soda. It cleans the oil out of the pores well.

Drove to Shaw's to buy the w/e Wicked Awesome sale of asparagus, on sale for 1.88 a lb. Passed on $1,49 a lb for split chicken breasts, and the 1.999 boneless, skinless chicken breasts.

Did buy a Culinary Circle Supreme Pizza 33 oz for $3.34. What a good deal. Returned home to cook that. Then added spinach, broccoli, capicola and shredded cheese on top. Needed a break from chicken.

Went outdoors to perform garden maintenance and water the tomatoes. Picked 7 today. Had to store the min the fridge, Can not eat them fast enough. Also picked a half cup of the blueberries that ripened late on one plant. Still have at least two brekkie w/bb's remaining to be harvested on that highbush.

Listened to the football game alternating w/the baseball game. The high of the day was 72° under clear skies. Love that temp w/o the heat, high dew point, humidity, and no bugs.

Civil twilight is 5:47 AM EDT. Night is 7:39 PM.

Sunrise: 6:17 AM. Set: 7:10 PM.

Length of day: 12h 52m. Length of visible light: 13h 52m. Tomorrow will be 3m 1s shorter.

The temp is 44° (7°C), the high is to be 76° (24°C), in bright sunny skies.

Have a pleasant day!

Hi peteytheref, glad U dropped in. Stop bank in sometime.

Blake did show his stuff, but they were soooo big, and fast. Good game, son in law joined me. He only lived about 30 minutes away. Didn't tell you, we were held up with heavy traffic, twice. Second time, it was a wreck. Police closed the interstate and routed us off and back on down the road a bit. Told brother that State Police closes the interstate when there is a death. Routed around the wreck and back on. Today's paper stated that the driver said a car cut in front of him and he ran off the road and lost control, hit 2 trees, and the passenger in front seat was thrown out, no seat belt, and pronounced dead at the scene. No info on car that cut in of them.
Saw your pictures, nice winter scenes, but not ready for cold yet. Assume that was you in two of them. First time you were seen.

Have a GR8 week

Good morning!

I ♥ Life!

peteytheref, Welcome!

The Fb site has lots of fun cartoons. Sad that the team of your brother's grandson was outclassed. You surely did have a long day.

Temps were low at 74°F (23°C) yesterday afternoon, yet the humidity was 85%, while the dew point reached the not so comfortable 70° (21°C). Could see on the radar map our 90% chance of rain and a t-storm was in mid VT on the way.

NOAA warned our area thunderstorms may produce gusty winds and heavy rainfall. Also the temps at night would drop into the 40's (8°C) with the highs all week to be near 70° (21°C).

Drove during yesterday's sticky morning to my pals meat mkt in Whitefield, NH (Lots of photos from 1999, including gas prices.) Population was 2,306 at the 2010 census. It is an area of 34.70 sq miles (89.87 km²).

Situated on the northern edge of the White Mountains, Whitefield is home to the Mount Washington Regional Airport, the White Mountains Regional High School, The Mountain View Grand Resort & Spa, the Spalding Inn, and Kimball Hill Inn. Things to do.

Explained to my pal the hassle rec'd on Thursday at the dental office. He too had shaking head syndrome. Cooked honey wings and drumettes were on sale for $2.29 a lb. Great finger food and a snack for the way home.

Also bought assorted pork chops for a nice price of $1.29 on sale. Returned home to put the food away. Emptied the balance of the crock pot, cleaned it, and placed the contents in a 2 qt Pyrex bowl, covered and refrigerated it.

A little evoo was added in the crock pot with hand trimmed spare ribs, along with carrots, green beans and red potatoes. 2 hours 30 minutes later a sliced onion and broccoli florets were added.

30 more minutes and the crock pot was turned off. Then it was placed in the fridge to cool down and refrigerate. Had a delish slice of blueberry pie for a snack.

T-storm arrived later than expected, so all the plants were watered earlier. Rain was just .37 inches and a 1.61 inch total for Sept.

Civil twilight is 5:46 AM EDT. Night is 7:41 PM.

Sunrise: 6:15 AM. Set: 7:11 PM.

Length of day: 12h 55m. Length of visible light: 13h 55m. Tomorrow will be 3m 1s shorter.

The temp is 54° (12°C), the high is to be 70° (21°C),

Have a splendid day!

Better to keep cool, but firm.

Did see the game, but they were out classed. Lost 22 seniors last year and 2 of their best backs had to sit out due to injuries. Blake's passing yardage was 70 more than they had. Left home at 9:30am and got back at 7:45pm. Long day.

I like the cutout orange man carrying the naked orange.

Enjoy your Sunday

Good morning!

I ♥ Life!

Was screaming angry. Did keep my cool. Even when the system had to be explained to the incompetent office mgr.

All 3 variations of chicken breast cutlet will be delightful. Glad you saw your brother's grandson play football.

Left early to go to Big Papa's Market in Littleton. Lots of end of the summer deals.

Bought were cukes 3/$1, red grapes $2.38 a lb, Mineola oranges 3/$1, green beans $1.38 a lb, avocados 98¢ ea, gigantic green leaf lettuce heads $1.28, a 2 oz bottle of basil for $1, and baby bella mushrooms 10 oz for $2.25.

Went to WM for some bread crumbs, stuffing, lots of spices, graded parmesan cheese and all white no cholesterol egg mix.

Also went to Shaw's and bought three 14 oz frozen large uncooked shrimp pkgs on sale for $5.98, $6.99 tarragon and thyme spices at 33% off, broccoli crowns for $1.49 and split chicken breasts for $1.49. Did not have to buy 3 lbs or more.

Returned home to put the shopping items away and cook a nice piece of haddock bought the day before for $2.99 a lb. Prepared the kitchen and the ingredients to make panko bread crumb chicken cutlets. Made four, ate the smallest, and added three to the fridge.

Also made a small garden salad w/evoo, went outdoors and ate my feast in the sun. Temp was a pleasant 85° (29°C) in a moderate humidity and tolerable dew point.

The solar radiation was very strong. It felt like there was a magnifying glass on my skin. Did some deadheading, watering, and garden maintenance. Picked 6 tomatoes. Will be giving many away soon.

Sunrise: 6:14 AM. Set: 7:13 PM.

Length of day: 12h 59m. Length of visible light: 13h 58m. Tomorrow will be 3m 01s shorter.

Midnight, thanks for the receipe, have printed it and is in our receipe files.

Sorry you got the run around and didn't get the surgury done. Good thing you knew what your insurance covered and stood on it. They will take advantage of you if you let them.

Got to get up early to go over to my brothers and we are going to watch his grandson play football. His Grandson was one of the top q-backs in the district last year. My son-in-law is going to meet me also.

Have a GR8 weekend

Good morning!

I &hearts Life!

My take on Baby Ray's is that it has too much HFCS, which make folks fat & gives one Fatty Liver Disease, which I now have. It has MSG 3x, that nears 6% of the ingredients. A lot & too much. Plenty of homemade BBQ recipes w/o chemicals on the web.

Have Netflix fave list of 200 movies and shows. Also type in the search box for what is wanted.

Sent you an IM w/the recipe in it. 5 stars. Surgery did not go. Details below.

Did a great job of going to bed much later at 8:30 PM on Wednesday evening, and waking up much later, which was at 2:30 AM. Spend an hour cooking several versions of my chicken cutlets.

Nuked the cheese on top to melt it. It also cooks the center, just in case it is a bit raw. Had 1.5 5" cutlets along with red and yellow bell peppers, carrots, broccoli, and green beans.

Was stuffed like a T-Day turkey. Finished my rounds, then watched some of the original Star Trek Season I epi's and a couple of Criminal Minds episodes.

Wrote out checks for four bills and made a telephone payment. At 8 AM, two hours before surgery, was the last of any water that was allowed to drink.

Decided on a run to the P.O. to mail the bills and pick up my mail. Took a dif route home and ran into the State of NHDOT replacing culverts on the hwy. Was a 20 wait to be able to pass.

Returned home to discover that the dental surgery office phoned. Called them back 20 minutes before my neighbor was to pick me up. The office said my insurance company refuses to accept and pay the bill. The surgery cost $3,100 for the hour. Will you be paying w/a check, cash or credit card? Huh?

Phoned one lady at my Ins Co and got the run around. Walked outdoors and got a case of head shaking. Returned inside and phoned again. Spoke to another lady at my Ins Co who said what was thought. Full dental coverage.

Spoke to the Dental Surgery office and got the same mumbo jumbo as rec'd the first time. Took the Ins book of paid benefits and visited the dental office. Showed her in black and white full dental coverage.

It was after 11:30 by now. She photocopied 'my plan.' Reminded her months ago my Ins accepted the full bill. Told her that her inability to get the facts straight weeks ago just cost me a wasted day.

Choice words entered my mind. My tongue did not repeat them. Was burning angry. This is the second time at this place that oral surgery was cancelled. The first was back in July.

Receptionist said she would call me when an appointment was re-scheduled. Told her NO — will not be coming back. Even got my first headache in many years thinking of the incident.

There was a very good ending to my travels and day of senseless folly. Visited my pal the meat mgr and related my story. He too, shook his head over the two previous cancellations.

He said he had some haddock that was to expire tin a day and would sell me those 4 fish for $2.99 a lb. Thank you my friend. So now sadly, it is back to day 1, another surgeon, deep breaths, and a long wait

Yesterday was a perfect summer day with low humidity, a low dew point and 81°. Will travel to the mkt today looking for some deals.

Civil twilight is 5:43 AM EDT. Night is 8:45 PM.

Sunrise: 6:13 AM. Set: 7:15 PM.

Length of day: 13h 01m. Length of visible light: 14h 01m. Tomorrow will be 2m 59s shorter.

The temp is 62° (17°C), the high is to be 84° (29°C), in clear skies.

Have a delightful day!

Found this on Facebook. Surely will bring a tear

"Never posted the chicken cutlet/parmesan/orw/sauce recipe, want it"? Yes, please! So, Sweet Baby Ray's is bad for you?

Netflix format has changed! Harder to find movies for me.

The picture of the Bath covered bridge is great for hanging on my wall.

Oh, hope the surgeon is fully awake and doesn't sew you lips together. :>))
Seriously, hope all goes well tomorrow.

Have a good recovery

Good morning!

I ♥ Life!

Sweet Baby Rays is MSG, tasting as good as ever, when one's brain cells die. Mention of the final recipe was on the Sept 2 post. Never posted the chicken cutlet/parmesan/orw/sauce recipe, want it?

Completely enjoyed seeing two episodes of season of "Criminal Minds" on Netflix. New subscribers get their first month for free. If the like the streaming on demand w/unlimited access, they are charged $8.99 a month.

Offered are tens of thousands of movies from the 1930'sto the present. They are not a site for the very latest movies, yet many are released in 2014. They also have sitcom's, dramas, and action TV series from the 1950's to some of this year's seasons.

Left for an 104 mile round trip to the WalMart Super Store in Woodsville. Needed to stock up on items. Stopped at the Bath, NH wooden covered bridge that was being refurbished for more than 1 year.

The bridge is 374'6" long and is made up of spans of 117'6", 66'6", 62'6", and 80'0". It has an overall width of 24'6", a roadway width of 20'6", and has a maximum vertical clearance of 11'9".

It also features an enclosed sidewalk. The bridge is posted as a one lane bridge for six tons, passenger cars only. The original Bath covered bridge was built in 1794 but was destroyed by a flood. The bridge was rebuilt and destroyed 2 more times, also by floods.

The 4th time the bridge was rebuilt, it was destroyed by fire. The current bridge that stands at the site now was built in 1832 and is open to passenger cars only.

The Bath covered bridge is completed and open to cross. This bridge now has fire and smoke detectors.

Spoke to the alarm Co tech that was programing the large control panel.Lots of LED lights, switches, and wires. Took many photos that will be shared in a special album.

Went shopping for soft foods that will be easy to chew. Have major oral surgery at 10 AM. Stopped at my neighbors to remind him about the ride we discussed a month ago. He is all set. Now need to not eat or drink anything after 4 AM, a full six hours before surgery.

Since meds will be given, there is a strong chance that no afternoon post will be completed. Perhaps just a quick update. Not even sure at this point on my rounds for Friday morning. We shall see.

The temp was 72° (22°C) , w/a low dew point of 58° (14°C) and the humidity 63%. A fabulous summer day.

Civil twilight is 5:42 AM EDT. Night is 8:47 PM.

Sunrise: 6:12 AM. Set: 7:17 PM.

Length of day: 13h 04m. Length of visible light: 14h 04m. Tomorrow will be 3m 00s shorter.

The temp is 53° (12°C), the high is to be 80° (27°C).

Have a fantastic day!

Wow, a bird got into the house when I went out to get flag in. The 2 cats were running around, staring and then I saw it. Chased it around, opened the front window, closed the comp rm door and watched the cats. Finally showed itself. Tried coaxing it to the window and finally it saw that the top was open and now it is GONE.

Looked back for your receipe and don't see it. Ok, found it on Aug 29, but not perfected yet, or did I miss it?

Going to watch Netflix, wife gone to visit daughter and see her new house west of Richmond, and will be back tomorrow morning. She did back marinated chicken breast cut in small pieces with cooked sliced mushrooms added and was very tasty, after adding a bit of Sweet Baby Ray's to it.

Have a good Thursday

Good morning!

I ♥ Life!

Meant here, not her. Still using a compass. It usually works accurately. Hope to one day eat at a Golden Coral. None in NH at all.

Enjoyed sending the multi chicken recipe to over a dozen that requested it. The 3 separate variations plus the flavor give this a near 5 star rating. Wish it could be served to all to taste and rate.

After seeing an episode of the original Star Trek (1966-1969) and one from a fabulous Criminal Minds, it was time to head outdoors. Lots of trimming flowerless leaves and dead heading to keep those in bloom.

Watered the flowers and tomatoes. Getting 4 and 5 nicely plump and well ripened tomatoes daily Have about 60 left. The tops have been cut of and all suckeres are removed.

Finished the last section of the lawn. It looks well manicured. The wildflowers have 5 different blooming flowers. Those are annuals like Johnny Jump ups, cosmos, sweet alyssum, crimson clover, and an unknown variety. Many others are still growing. The perennials should bloom next summer.

Took a ride early afternoon to cruise down US Rt 3. Wanted to see how the area trees were doing colorwise. All have a tinge on the higher elevations. None down low.

Got to take some pix of the mtns and some further calender pix of the town. It felt like the hottest day of the year.

The temp was 82° (28°C) , the dew point 70° (21°C) and the humidity 70%. Lots of t-storms were 60-80 (96 to 128 km) miles south of my area.

Civil twilight is 5:40 AM EDT. Night is 8:50 PM.

Sunrise: 6:10 AM. Set: 7:20 PM.

Length of day: 13h 07m. Length of visible light: 14h 07m. Tomorrow will be 2m 59s shorter.

The temp is 63° (17°C), the high is to be 77° (28°C). Had a good rainfall 1.69" and t-storms overnight.

Have a fabulous day!

Made a run at 11:15am to Dulles International A/P to pick up wife's grand niece from Nashville. We got there at 4pm and her flight got in at 3:55pm. Was almost 5pm leaving A/P, piles of traffic, niece was hungry and we were getting that way too. Found a Golden Corral in Manassas. My 2 year old Magellan GPS has always been erratic! Gives you a direction to turn, and as soon as you turn, she says perform a U-turn. Never buy another Magellan.
Gotta go, have 1 minute to make post

What is meant by "Sad to see that posting her was forgotten"?

Gotta hit the rack, been a long day and was up at 6:15

Good morning!

Sad to see that posting her was forgotten.

Your crush and run must be what we call ledge pack or mfg stonedust. Packs like concrete and drains well

Have a safe journey to the airport and back.

Went to Littleton to get away from the 144th Lancaster State Fair traffic. It is the largest event in the North Country Labor Day w/e. The largest event of the year are the fireworks July 4th at the Mt Washington Grand Hotel.

Stopped in Rite as soon as they opened. My pal the mgr said after Aug 31 summer items would be 75% off list price.

Had my eye on a double awning canopy. Each side can be raised another 3' 6" to give the covered canopy a 15' 4" length. On sale for a nice price of $32.50. List was $129.99 all season.

Drove to WM for some fat free sliced cheese. Was disappointed it has been discontinued at that store. Brought two 1 lb tubs of cottage cheese. $2.02 ea.

Went to Shaw's and stocked upon condensed cream of mushroom & chicken soup. 12 oz cans are on sale for 75¢ ea. Bought 10 of each to add to the 8 there are in stock.

Bought a 6 piece pkg of boneless, skinless chicken breasts for $1.99 a lb. Have been playing w/a recipe for two weeks to make the finest chicken parmesan, sauceless cutlets, or w/a creamy sauce.

Write to me and will send you the complete recipe for all three versions. Prep 25 mins. Cook 20 mins. Ready in 1 hr or less. Recipe makes 4 servings. Very easy to make. More than worthy of the Bon Appétit restaurants.

Had A fantastic Labor Day of cooking, w/plenty of R&R, a temp of 81° (27°C), 70° dew point and a humidity of 71%.

Civil twilight is 5:40 AM EDT. Night is 8:50 PM.

Sunrise: 6:10 AM. Set: 7:20 PM.

Length of day: 13h 10m. Length of visible light: 14h 10m. Tomorrow will be 2m 58s shorter.

The temp is 63° (17°C), the high is to be 82° (28°C) w/a 60% chance of rain and t-storms.

Have a wonderful day!

My TV guide showed Criminal Minds on Friday and Saturday, 3 shows each night. The TV guide also shows different programs than my newspaper! I signed up again for DNC a couple of months ago. Think you gave me the info.

I worked on my landscaping to put an apron to my 22'X24' shed that houses the travel trailer. Have to move it to the middle and might raise it 8 to 10" for clearance. The ground as it is get wet then mushy. Digging ground out and putting old bricks/concrete chunks in ground. Then covering with #57 rock and finish with crush & run to raise ground in front so water will not go in and drain on each side to back of property and to the creek. Was really hot today. Going to start early in the morning when it is shady until about 10 am.

Have a good holiday day!

Good morning!

I ♥ Life!

"Criminal" is on A&E net? Know the alert scam. Free 1st month then 'just' $30 ea month. Not a real biz, just money grabbers.

Do you have caller id? Report the number to the DNC site. Think there is a list of your home state agency to call. Ask all caller to add your number to their DNC list. Repeat callers? Blow a whistle in their ear!

Enjoyed another episode of "Criminal Minds." Have become a big fan quickly. Watch this show first over my other faves such as "Lost Girl," "Everyone Loves Raymond" "CSI," "Law and Order," etc. It has the impact that is enjoyed in a police themed series.

Laid down to take a nap. Don't think sleep was actually achieved. Did rest my mind and body for nearly 90 minutes. That counts for at least relaxation.

Played some hours of StarCraft: Brood War. Humanity soon becomes caught in a war between the Protoss and the Zerg, which culminates with the death of the Zerg leader, the Overmind, on the Protoss homeworld of Aiur.

StarCraft: Brood War is a real time strategy game still praised even today as one of the best games in history. L=http://us.blizzard.com/en-us/games/sc/]The original site.[/L]

Loaded up the Dart w/recyclables. Could have delayed the ride, wanted to rid the accumulating glass, tin cans, and paper products. Did not notice what the featured free item(s) were. It was at 10 AM.

Took the ride to Whitefield. Wanted to see my pal the meat mgr. He took the long w/e off. No deals again this w/e. Can see all that stores prices are inching up.

The Corp Office which is an oil Company in VT has sent all 14 stores a memo that profits are down and to raise prices. This is according to the deli mgr. Can see all the retail prices increasing. 93% lean hamburger is now $4.99 a lb.

Returned home to sit in the sun and enjoy the serenity of this area. The temp climbed to 77, a 56% humidity and a wonderful 49° (9.4°C) dew point.

Also enjoyed watching the flowers, butterflies, hummers, and the yellow jackets landing and taking off from the last cairn in my property. They remind me of the jets on a carrier going and returning from patrol.

Civil twilight is 5:37 AM EDT. Night is 8:54 PM.

Sunrise: 6:07 AM. Set: 7:24 PM.

Length of day: 13h 16m. Length of visible light: 14h 16m. Tomorrow will be 2m 56s shorter.

The temp is 59° (15°C), the high is to be 76 (24°C). Chance of T-storms, 50% chance of rain.

Have a splendid day!

Midnight, my TV guide shows 3 shows on A&E on Friday & Saturday. Just noticed it today when looking for a new program.

We get many calls about a Free Alert that has been paid for including shipping, $1,000 store coupons and 75% off prescriptions. This is a scam, you have to pay monthly fee. Tells you to hit 9 to opt out, but still get them. Now getting slow talking man with deep voice telling you about a fail safe way to make money, here I hang up. Do not call should have taken effect by now.

Have a good day tomorrow, have to meet long time coworker/close friend at 7am in Hampton, about 25 miles, for breakfast in the morning.

Good morning!

I ♥ Life!

Dip the chicken breasts into panko bread crumbs, fry in evoo and it makes all the dif. A new found love for boring chickies.

I have a Lot of catching up to do on "Criminal" Love that show.

Finished my morning rounds yesterday nice and early. That gave me the time to research more info on a new project that is being done. When the time comes to announce the results, my readers will be the first to know.

Got to nap for 90 minutes. It felt Great. Keep getting phone calls from Worldcom Multimedia. It is a 703 area code, created in 1947 in north eastern Virginia just outside of D.C. A quick check discovered the Co registered on 14-03-1995 in India.

The New Delhi based company's Corporate Identification Number (CIN) is U74899DL1995PLC066369. The registration number is 066369. The company's official address is A 42/F DDA FLATS MUNIRKA New Delhi, India 110067. It is Not opportunity calling.

In a dozen calls this summer, my answering machine never had a message from them. No need for me to ever answer my phone. Keep my phone always the ringer switched off. Do keep a police whistle at the phone to give them an earful, when in the mood.

Drove to town to get some boneless, skinless chicken breast on sale for $1.99 a lb. Also had a weeks worth of mail in my PO box. Returned home to sunny medium blue skies w/a dewpoint of 54° (12°C) and a temp of 70° (21°C). Very pleasing weather.

Wanted to make a cooked stock of a new recipe that is fun and delicious. Have made them on four occasions. Will share the recipe on Tuesday.

After lunch a chair was sat in to create some Vitamin D via the sun. It felt so pleasant with a 2.5 mph (4 kph) breeze. Took a good long look at the unfinished section of the lawn. Then turned the page of my magazine.

Civil twilight is 5:36 AM EDT. Night is 8:56 PM.

Sunrise: 6:06 AM. Set: 7:26 PM.

Length of day: 13h 19m. Length of visible light: 14h 20m. Tomorrow will be 2m 57s shorter.

The temp is 54° (12°C), the high is to be 77 (25°C) in clear skies.

Have a tremendous day!

Hiya Doc
hope you have a GR8 Labor Day Weekend

Midnight, yes, we have Netflix and I watched Criminal Minds. Glad it will be back.

Yummy, recipe for crispy boneless skinless chicken breasts w/panko bread crumbs, I'll go for that!

Wife bought boneless skinless chicken breast at Costco for my birthday party with the kids. There were 8, I think, individually wrapped breast at $2.29 per lb. I'm not a big chicken breast fan, but they were good.

Have a GR8 Labor Day weekend

Good morning!

I ♥ Life!

Just for the reason you stated, am now only a green bean lover. Fruits and veggies need to be watered every day.

---> CBS renewed the "Criminal Mind" series for a tenth season which is set to premiere on October 1, 2014. Have streaming Netflix?

Finished my rounds early yesterday morn. More gymnastics of Gabby Douglas was watched via youtube. Am awestruck at her exceptional ability. Then took a 90 minute nap to get some needed extra sleep.

Woke up at 5 AM after my nap so that'll tell you when it was nighty night. Watched my first "Leverage," Season 1 Episode 1. The series of 5 years 2008-2012 has the theme of a gang of grifters, hackers and thieves out to settle scores against the rich and powerful. Absolutely the first episode sparked an interest.

Left early for Littleton. So early a side trip on the Fire Road was taken. Had my camera handy and ready to shoot. Hoped to see some wildlife on miles of the remote gravel road.

Bought at the market were 3½ to 4" tomatoes 88¢ a lb, Driscoll's black & raspberries 6 oz for $1.67, Mineola oranges 3/$1, avocados 88¢ ea, giant heads of green leaf lettuce $1.18 ea, cukes 40¢ ea, large eggs $1.98, lemons up to 75¢, limes 5/$1 and 10 oz pkg of baby bella mushrooms are $2.25 ea.

Visited WM for more fat free cottage cheese 1 lb is $2.02. Stocked upon Essential condensed cream of chicken/mushroom 4/$3. Will return to Shaws to get their Wicked Awesome specials this w/e.

Have a new recipe for crispy boneless skinless chicken breasts w/panko bread crumbs cooked in evoo. Garlic added of course. Can be dry or w/added marsala or parmigiano style.

Perfecting the recipe, then will share it. Really liking the way they turn out. The juices are locked in. Wish a 100 of them could be made and shared with everyone in a giant GB bash.

Made an excellent salad w/spinach, tomatoes, yellow and red peppers, mushroom, onions, broccoli, green leaf lettuce with shaved carrots, evoo and cottage cheese on top. Nothing beats a homemade salad.

The temp saw a high of 67° (°C) in mostly blue skies w/a breeze. Went outdoors after dinner in just boots and shorts. Left the few blueberries on the last highbush. Mowed nearly ¼ more of the lawn. My hip was acting up so mowing was stopped.

Civil twilight is 5:35 AM EDT. Night is 8:58 PM.

Sunrise: 6:05 AM. Set: 7:28 PM.

Length of day: 14h 22m. Length of visible light: 15h 23m. Tomorrow will be 2m 57s shorter.

The temp is 52° (11°C), the high is to be 73 (23°C) in clear skies.

Have a delightful day!

I &hearts Life

Wife harvested a lot today out of our garden. Eggplant drying up as are the string beans. Back neighbor got her to go down to their garden and pull string beans. Asked her if I could help her shell them. Yes was her quick reply. Watched "So you think you can dance". Shelled them for at least an hour.

I watch Criminal Minds, but hasn't been on for last couple of weeks.
Also watch H50 and Blue Bloods.

Hey, good luck on that hip replacement! My close friend of almost 20 years had one done and it worked well for him. Gotta have my right thumb done hopefully early September.

Have a good Friday

Good morning!

I ♥ Life!

Watched an episode of Season I of "Criminal Minds." Really like the show and have become big fan. Read that CBS renewed the series for a tenth season which is set to premiere on October 1, 2014. Am all for another season.

Played StarCraft: Brood War and battled the Terrans, Zerg, and Protoss on land, in the mtns, and in the air. Have been playing this award winning game since its release in 1998. If not played for two weeks, it is felt something special is being missed.

The StarCraft universe is set around the early 26th century. Terran exiles from Earth have colonized a distant area of the Milky Way galaxy. They agree on the United Earth Directorate (UED) — an international body governing Earth

Went outdoors to perform some garden maintenance and harvest some of the last highbush of blueberries that ripened very late. There is about 1 cup of berries remaining that needs to still ripen.

Also harvest 3 2" strawberries and saw two tomatoes turning a healthy orange. Made certain to spray four pieces of wood w/deer and rabbit repellent and added another container of scent under each plant. Too late in the season to afford to lose a harvest.

Held my head up high and began the tedious task of mowing the lawn. Began at the foot of the driveway and worked my way to the perennial gardens. Managed to finish half of the lawn until my hip cried "uncle".

Enjoyed basking in the sun studying grandmaster chess games from a mag. Like that my hip does no hurt while seated. In a week next Thursday, my oral surgery will be completed.

Will then call the orthopedic surgeon's office and get an appointment for the hip replacement. Am hoping it will be in October to get this hurtle out of the way and return to my normal life.

Civil twilight is 5:33 AM EDT. Night is 8:00PM.

Sunrise: 6:04 AM. Set: 7:29 PM.

Length of day: 14h 25m. Length of visible light: 15h 26m. Tomorrow will be 2m 55s shorter.

The temp is 59° (15°C), the high is to be 70° (21°C) in clear skies.

Off to get some deals at BiG Papa's Mkt this morning.

Have a fantastic day!

Good morning!

I ♥ Life!

Thought the movie was so great it was seen twice. Amazing ability.

Getting our summer this week Warmest temps since the beginning of July. Day get shorter, trees turn color.

The top dollar for leather is a comeon for unneeded extras.

Hummers can have quite the ramming fights and go after each other. Quite the show.

Crock pot cooked pork sirloin cutlets and green beans for 2.5 hours. Added sliced onions, yellow peppers, and broccoli to cook al dente for the final 30-40 minutes. All came out perfect.

Really liking the first season of "Criminal Minds". Many shows were missed in this intense story of FBI profilers. The scripts are right up my alley. A suspect is found which turns out to be someone else.

Took a pleasing cruise to Littleton early this morning. Wanted to speak to the female mgr of the local convenience store w/gas pumps. She does not work mornings. Wanted to ask her lots of Q's.

Stopped in WM for a few items and get some fat free cottage cheese. Stocking the shelves was a friend know for 20 years. He is past retirement age, yet will not.

Like so many others, he feels very uncomfortable about not working and remaining home. We swapped stories for nearly 30 minutes. He is the best stocker WM has. Not a chance it will be mentioned or he will even get a warning.

Met a fellow doing 35-40 mph in the 50 mph speed zone on the CT River Hwy. He continued to step on the brake. Sure is annoying. Downshifted into 3rd and hit the pedal to the metal.

The turbo kicked in instantly. What a sound of engine and exhaust acceleration and a rush of power. In 3 seconds the car was at 85 mph. Wild, raw excitement! Hand shifted into 6th, then reset the cruise control to 55.

Returned home to make some homemade pork fried rice with lots of veggies w/evoo and thick cooked sliced mushrooms. Had some of the midnight black grapes that were on sale.

Enjoying browsing in the gardens looking at the flowers and delight in the two new wildflower section of the seen 1" wide annuals that have blossomed. Think the seed was spread way to thick, like grass seed, not flowers ever ½ inch.

Watered to fruits and flowers. Pruned the tomatoes to speed up their ripening and remove the few remain suckers. Many are now seeing orange colors and should to turn red very soon.

Harvested a cup of blueberries. That is enough for a breaky w/cereal for up to 5 meals adding other berries. Temp reached a pleasant 83° (28°C) in clear skies w/low humidity and a dew point. Spent an hour relaxing in the sun reading.

Civil twilight is 5:32 AM EDT. Night is 8:01 PM.

Sunrise: 6:03 AM. Set: 7:31 PM.

Length of day: 14h 28m. Length of visible light: 15h 29m. Tomorrow will be 2m 56s shorter.

The temp is 64° (18°C), the high is to be 80° (27°C) in clear skies.

Have a fabulous day!

I ♥ Life

Seems like just a bit ago I was typing I ♥ Life!

I know we would like it, watched her during Olympic's. She is a celebrity around here. They had several showings of her from the bigining.

Getting cold there already? We have had 2 nice days that were brezzy and not real warm.

I agree with you, leather is not worth the extra $$$$'s.

We like watching the Hummers too, not seen any fighting.

Have a good evening.

Good morning!

I ♥ Life!

See her in the movie below. Give it 15 min and the Mrs and you will love it. Saw it again yesterday.

The Free Gabby Douglas Story is here. (85 min - PG) On updated FF browsers a pop up window w/an ad will appear, plus a Playboy.tv ad. Using Chrome w/AdBlock Plus deletes the ads. Movie is also on streaming Netflix. Or Free on putlocker.is using Chrome.

Enjoyed seeing a half dozen of the Gabby Douglas routines in the pre-Olympic's and her awesome gold medal performances in 2012 and earlier. No TV signals in the mtns will always mean a catching up with the times for me.

Then watch a nearly 20 y/a super middleweight boxing match between Roberto Duran and Vinny Pazienza I & II. Then watched Manny Pacquiao vs. Juan Márquez I. Their first was a draw. There are three more matches to see on another occasion.

The low was 48° in the wee hours. It was nearly 55° when it was time to go outdoors. Wore just shorts and sneakers. Did two hours of garden maintenance.

Lots of dead flowers to trim off and leaves. Now that the sun is much lower above the treeline, want to give the newly planted perennials all the sun they can get to grow deep roots before the winter arrives.

Can see maple trees showing a hint of color. Other trees such as white and yellow birch are now showing leaves w/o chlorophyll. It the season for the change in autumn.

Vacuumed the Neon and the Dart. Used a portion of a can of foamy cleaner on the Dart's back seat. Cardboard box dust from going to the Transfer station built up on cloth.

For $4,000 more, black or white leather upholstery could have been selected. Was not at all worth the money to me. Used a light scrub brush to work the dust out of the pores and a towel to wipe up the foam. This worked well.

Watched three hummers in battle. One would fly into and bump another. Then the third would steal some nectar from the crocosmia. The winner of the first clash would attack the third. On and on the fray continued until they flew off into the forest.

Civil twilight is 5:31 AM EDT. Night is 8:08 PM.

Sunrise: 6:01 AM. Set: 7:33 PM.

Length of day: 14h 31m. Length of visible light: 15h 32m. Tomorrow will be 2m 54s shorter.

The temp is 59° (15°C), the high is to be 86° (30°C) in clear skies.

Have a wonderful day!

I ♥ Life

Midnight, sure would like to get one of those subs!
The peppers were picked by my friend, who is my daughters friend. Wife had told him to take what was ready to pick while we were gone. He said the pepper was turning red. He is dropping it off tomorrow, he lives about 1 1/2 miles from us and goes by everyday on way home from work.

Who is this "Gabby"? Her story has been on our local stations several times and lives in Chesapeake, less than 50 miles from us. She is a determined young lady and deserves every metal she won. She is a positive young lady. After the Olympics, she toured the local cities, but not on our side of the river. That is one story that we will watch.

Thanks for the movie sites, saving it to my files.

Good morning!

On the road the nylon scrubs expertly. Ya gotta try a steak and cheese w/genoa salami pepperoni, mushrooms, onions and peppers. A fave since my first.

Battery is brand new, just bought. Someone/thing took your peppers?

Had a pleasing combo of 3 fresh berries w/1% milk and wheat bran flakes for breaky at 3 AM. After my rounds had some fabulous laughs watching "Everybody Loves Raymond". Then settled down to watch "The Gabby Douglas Story" (2014) 1hr 26m PG-13.

This powerful inspirational story is the life of an 8 y/o girl that fell in love with gymnastics. A dream that got stronger with age. She saw a Chinese coach on TV, "The Coach of the Year" and wished to train in his gym 1,000 miles away, in Iowa.

Her mom got injured and could not pay the bills. Poor is only when one runs out of hope. Gabby was rich w/talent, had the desire to learn, lots of muscle strength, and gifted.

A host family from Iowa decides to take Gabby in for 2 years so she can train w/her beloved coach and his wife at their gym. The coach rebuilt her, trained her to do the impossible, so grace can join in on her skills, then propelled her to the Hall of Fame.

Along the way Gabby had several falls and lows. Sometimes the only way to get stronger is to get knocked down. Gabrielle even felt like quitting. Her mother visited her in Iowa and reminded her of the sacrifices made so she could pursue her dream.

The only thing worse than failing is quitting. She returned to the gym w/renewed determination. Her coach told her, "A champion is not made of muscle. It is made of heart."

Gabby Douglas performed w/the U.S. Women's Gymnastics team at the 2012 Summer Olympics. She won gold medals in both the individual, all-around, and team competitions in each of the four gymnast events.

Gabrielle Douglas is the first African-American gymnast in Olympic history to become the individual all-around champion, the first American gymnast to win gold in both the individual, all-around, and team competitions at the same Olympics as well as being the only American all-around champion to win multiple gold medals.

She was also a member of the gold-winning U.S. team at the 2011 World Championships. Gabby reaches for the stars. A heartwarming film for the entire family that shows adversity may be conquered. My rating is a 6 on a scale of 5.

Top 10 best of the FREE movie sites. Two are Smartphone friendly. Six are in HD.

Did return to that Shaw's store to check the cod price. It is now $5.99 a lb for this week. ; )

Civil twilight is 5:30 AM EDT. Night is 8:05 PM.

Sunrise: 6:00 AM. Set: 7:35 PM.

Length of day: 14h 34m. Length of visible light: 15h 35m. Tomorrow will be 2m 54s shorter.

The temp is 59° (15°C), the high is to be 83° (28°C) in clear skies.

Have a pleasant day!

continued

Did not know about putting soap in nylons for scrubbing hands. Going to borrow on of wife's and try it.

That major size steak bomb looks like my kinda sub!

Those red peppers look great! We planted some and had a couple big ones on vine before we left, still green. Told wife to leave it and it would probably be red when we got home yesterday. Well, they are gone now!

Have a good week
