Good morning!

I ♥ Life!

See that GB alters one's link and did not give me my 1,000 points for updating prices yesterday Wrote to the Mods telling them and they replied "working on it"

Big Papa's Fruit and Vegetable Sharing more snow w/you this morning.

Woke up to the chilly wee hours of the morning yesterday. The temp dropped to 30° (-1°C). Our rain turned to snow. By daybreak there was an inch of snow everywhere. The high for the day was only 33° (1C). Ten degrees less that was forecast.

Went to the weekly and special w/e sales of Shaws, our local supermarket chain owned by Albertson's and its parent corp Supervalu of Minn. Their fiscal year (ended 2/28/15) w/an Annual sales saw $17.7 billion.

How swell Supervalu executives repeatedly use the word “pleased” to describe the company's financial performance. Their retail prices remain the highest of any store. Only go there for the weekly & w/e loss leader sales.

Got in a fine 90 minute nap, played some StarCraft, a military science fiction real-time strategy video game. Then the idea of driving to Whitefield hit me. Wanted to buy 1 chicken breast at my pal's store, not 5 or 6 that are jammed into Shaw's family packs.

Had a pleasant drive down US Rt 3. The snowscape was truly picturesque. Arrived to discover the internet system by Fairpoint Comm was down in that entire town.

Only cash could be taken as payment. No cc's or debit cards. The ast mgr gave me a story of why they could not take my check for a $2 chicken breast. Had more than needed in the car. Passed on buying anything.

Did get to talk for 20 minutes to my friend the meat mgr. In fact he showed me around the non sales part of the store. He was there when the check was denied by the asst store mgr. Know my pal could read my mind.

Returned home empty handed and pan fired red and yellow bell peppers, yellow onions, the last of the thawed store made Hot Italian sausage and some ⅜" sliced crimini mushrooms.

Added a bit of water to two beaten eggs and began making some fried rice. Last added was two cloves of diced garlic. The fried rice came out great. Added a 12 oz can of beef gravy to the contents prepared and had a delicious lunch. Got to save a meal for another time.

Snow is in the forecast for all day Saturday. Then more rain for two days. We may see some sun on Tuesday. Otherwise we are in another run of rain thru next w/e.

The temp is 30° (-1°C) with the high to be 48° (9°C).

Civil twilight is 5:15 AM EST. Night is 8:14 PM.

Sunrise: 5:46 AM. Set: 7:43 PM.

Length of day: 13h 56m. Length of visible light: 14h 59m. Tomorrow will be 2m 48s longer.

Have a tremendous day!

Hi Midnight, I get calls just about every day. Don't answer most of them now. I had a good night sleep last night too, but weird dreams. Can't remember anything about them now.

clicked on link to see more and "cannot be displayed" came up.

Hi EW, Snow, put out the compost, tilled it in with tractor and rolled it with roller and lawn tractor. Feel good tonight, it is done.

Those 3 days vacation are not worth it. They leave & arrive so late you have to go right to bed. You really have 1 day because on the 3rd day they leave real early in the AM so there is nothing to do. Did I once....never again!

If you ever played a game like this ..............once again.....................you might be a redneck.

Have a fantastic Friday!

Good morning!

I ♥ life!

Once did go to those time sharing spiels. Started out w/ some good gifts. Ended w/ sleazy ones. How does one know the time share is even honored? A phone # to a Realtor could be part of the scam. Not much diff from a scam and the old flim flam.

Had a fabulous night of sleep well rested and had pleasant dreams while waking up. Hard to believe it was already Thursday. The week seemed to shoot right by.

First light saw a blanket of snow on the lawn. April in the mtns means snow at any time. Even a blizzard can be expected well into late May. One year saw a deep blizzard in June that killed everyone crops. It was the year of famine.

Drove down the CT River Hwy. Easily noticed the high water was less than 1 foot from flood stage. Last spring was a bad flood. Folks could only stay home til the flood waters receded about 10 days later. Most remain well stocked for the winter, spring floods, and the at times, deep mud season.

Bought a few items at the market. Cukes are 40¢ ea, red and yellow bell peppers $1.88 lb, celery $1.34, organic asparagus $1.98 a lb, avocados: 88¢ ea, broccoli crowns $1.38 lb, and Bartlett pears only 94¢ a lb.

They are expanding the store so even more produce can be stocked. The owner takes a drive to Boston and return w/a 53" ft long tractor trailer laded w/fresh produce.

In 2½ days the store is sold out. By chance anything remaining get auctioned at 2 PM on Saturday. Some of this wek's prices can be found here: Click on 'See more'

Was down w/all my shopping in Littleton by 8:30. Took the pleasant drive on Rt 302 to the super WM store in Woodsville, NH. There 3 pairs of joggers were purchased.

Saw a red pair, a blue pair and a white pair, all w/ black trim. Bought all three pairs and a set of Dr Schools Active Insoles. The gal at the check out counter looked at me oddly buying three pairs. Told her I was stocking up for the summer.

Visited my pal who was formerly the ast mgr of Subway in Littleton. He now manages the Super Shoe in that town. Been months since talking to him. He thanked me for the visit.

Returned home in a snow storm that was beginning to look like a blizzard. The hwy accumulated slush and my speed was dropped to 40 mph to be safe.

Snow is falls gently and is expected right through tomorrow evening.

The temp is 30° (-1°C) with the high to be 45° (7°C).

Civil twilight is 5:16 AM EST. Night is 7:13 PM.

Sunrise: 5:47 AM. Set: 7:41 PM.

Length of day: 13h 53m. Length of visible light: 14h 56m. Tomorrow will be 2m 49s longer.

Have a delightful day!

Oops, sorry Snow, did miss you. Where did you go???? :>))) That video looks a bit dangerous!

Hi PM, correcting, & EW. Finished putting down crush&run (crushed concrete with the powder settles pretty hard.) Went and picked up 2 yards of compost for the garden. Put most of it in, but tractor sunk down to the rims, so had to back out. Was going to til it with 6' tiller, now have to fix my little one.

Have not found my cords to hook camera to download pictures. Shoot for tomorrow(sounds like a TV program) :>)

Hi Midnight, the catch for the 3 day vacation, is you HAVE to attend a 90 minute presentation and mine went to 3 hours and I stopped him.

As shown above, finished most of putting down c & r and quit early, so not as tired tonight as was Tuesday and Wednesday.

Another call we get, Wait, this is not a sales call. Someone has sent you a free Medic Alert at no charge to you. Catch, you have to pay $35 or $45 per month monitoring fee.

You have a GR8 night. I have to go look for camera cords to download some pictures

Good morning!

I ♥ Life!

Always catch that show on Netflix. TV signal do not reach these mtns.

Use my answering machine to record those You've won the million dollars! Have not yet won a three day vacay. Perhaps soon!

Have not heard a peep from the squirrel that formally resided in my attic. Seems to be two weeks since spreading a box of fresh moth balls in the attic. The net info pages also suggest loud radio music/talk shows and flashing lights to annoy them so they will leave. Glad the varmint is gone w/o incident.

Completely enjoyed a Big StarCraft battle with 2 army's of each of the three races. Was a Zerg battling the Terrans and Protoss as three of the four armies ganged up on me and one army battled the attack the base camps of another. It shall be a decade of fun easily worth the $5 spent to buy a used StarCraft II DVD in excellent condition on Ebay during the beginning of winter.

The rain stopped at 9 AM. Then the sun broke thru 30 minutes later. Put on my shorts to go out and work in the gardens. Began to make a sweep pulling out grass, dead leaves and last year's stems.

Maybe finished 25% which is four of the six areas. Also began to rip out live and dead wild blueberry routes in an area separating the lawn from the forest. Sprayed Othro Weed Be Gone last June. Results were seen in a week. Pulling out the roots to ensure they do not made a big come back one year later.

Want to walk into forest w/o a barrier of thorns to rip my legs and clothes. Love the successful results of the two wildflower areas that were worked on for a month last June May continue the perennial wildflowers in two more areas. Have a two month head start on the project, if decided on, already.

Would have to hand till the areas w/a pitchfork, rid the roots, and haul out the rocks and boulders. Then rake and level the areas. The wild flower seed was under $8 online at the WM site last year. It is back breaking work. Even if one was 20 y/o. Worked outdoors for 3 hours.

Drove out of my muddy driveway. Between the snow melt, vernal springs from up the mtn, and the nearly steady rain for days, the Dart sank a few inches in the muddy mess. Will need extra stone to add to the driveway. The time has come to stop the mud. Will ask my neighbor to the north if he could spread stone w/his tractor.

Went to OSJL in Northumberland, NH, bought 4 cans of black olives 6 oz for $1, then bought another pair of shorts that were bought last week for $10. Like the style, color, and fit. Learned y/a to buy several outfits that are liked. One wears away and there is another new one to take its place.

Stopped at Shaw's and bought an 8 oz solid bar of feta cheese for just $3.99. Not like Shaw's to have a low price on an item that is not not sale. Passed on buying another pkg of southern style pork ribs during their weekly sale for only $1.29 a lb. May buy them when in Littleton at Papa's Mkt later.

Picked up my mail at the P.O. To my surprise was a refund check waiting. Opened it to discover the main office of the Propane Co added an extra $1 to the refund. Have to wonder if my complaining paid off w/a wee bit of a bonus and it was also mailed fast.

Off to buy some produce at Big Papa's then stop and shop at a few other stores in Littleton.

More rain falls. Snow depth is saying bye, bye.

The temp is 33° (-.5°C) with the high to be 49° (9°C).

Civil twilight is 5:18 AM EST. Night is 8:11 PM.

Sunrise: 5:49 AM. Set: 7:40 PM.

Length of day: 13h 51m. Length of visible light: 14h 53m. Tomorrow will be 2m 50s longer.

Hi PM, thanks, did have a special day. Worked my buns off putting down crush&run repairing driveway. Did that yesterday, and post disappeared. Had to empty trailer so I could pick up a load of compost fot the garden. Was dragging when I came in.

Hi correcting, wish I knew what key is the wrong key, not the first time this has happened

Hi EW

Good morning!

I ♥ Life!

You need Lazarus Form Recovery. For ALL the major browser and apps. A 5 sec dl that restores poof posts. Used it for years and no longer cuss.

Had rec'd a phone call that my Caller ID read it was a non profit org. Did not answer and no one left a message. Did a search for the telephone number and all the sites seen told of this non-profit that was actually a telemarketing company hiding behind a 501(c)(3) biz registration. So then voila, a new scam arrives.

It rained on and off and when it seemed to stop mist, both light and heavy fell. Did manage to remove the humus and manure bags and the Miracle Grow soil enhanced w/ nutrients from the Dart. Still love the 40 lb bags on sale for 5/$10. Looked up the price on Lowe's website and the sale price has been removed.

Cut the ham bone from the spiral ham and added the bone into a 2 qt pot. Simmered the bone for an hour, Scraped the bone clean of all the meat stuck to it. Added basil, parsley, Mrs Dash, a touch of paprika, added diced carrots, then egg noodles, onions, garlic, then some spinach at the last minutes. Had a low calorie healthy lunch. My first ham bone veggie soup was excellent.

Back outdoors looking at the minor damage the moles did this year. They made very few tunnels throwing their usual soil in clumps on top of the lawn. This is a mole's feeding tunnels, complete w/soil and needing 1 month or more to grew the grass back.

It was a quiet day in the forest. Did not even watch Netflix. Did play some hours of StarCraft. In one battle, the opponent attacked faster than my men could be created. Began wiping me out by destroying my base. It took 30 minutes just to neutralize that. Then eventually it was my turn to wreak havoc.

Rain is in the forecast every day this week thru next Monday. Have a few towels ready if by chance the squirrel hole leaks before a chance to fix it. over the w.e it was discovered the extension ladders were still frozen solid in ice and snow on racks up against the house. Am in no hurry to repair the hole in the roof and re-shingle that spot.

In the northern East Coast the ISS orbits by 8:16 PM tonight. Even a better sight over mid North America. Last night of the ISS for a while. One can see the ISS w/the naked eye (even w/city lights at night). It is the brightest object in the night sky. Only the Moon is brighter. See all the satellites in your area.

The temp is 28° (-2°C) with the high to be 58° (14°C). Rain sees a 70 - to 90% chance all week.

Civil twilight is 5:20 AM EST. Night is 8:10 PM.

Sunrise: 5:51 AM. Set: 7:39 PM.

Length of day: 13h 48m. Length of visible light: 14h 50m. Tomorrow will be 2m 51s longer.

Have a fabulous day!

Have clay as a subsoil, a layer or three of granite rocks and boulders, then about 6-8" of topsoil. Farmer sell pickup loads of compost. Am sure it is a bundle in your area. 100% Compost or 50-50 compost and loam is $30-$32 a yard at garden stores. Find a farmer and get a pick up truck load for $30, in my area. Made my new 12' x 16' garden w/two pickup truckloads of partly composted manure and three shovelful of worms. At the time it was $15 ea at the farm. Talked him down from $20 a load.

Lost power at 5:02 PM yesterday. The wind swayed the trees amazingly being 34 mph (54 km/h). Stayed up for an hour,. which seemed like three, then went to slept. The utility co left a message at 7:15 saying the power has been restored. Woke at 12:30 this morning.

It was a Happy Patriots' Day to our New England and Wisconsin friends who celebrated the opening salvo of The American Revolution which began on April 19, 1775 with the Battles of Lexington and Concord, MA. It is celebrated on the third Monday of April.

The 119th Boston Marathon went w/o a hitch. Rebekah Gregory lost a leg in the 2013 marathon bombings. She ran the race in a prosthetic. Her brave story.

Lelisa Desisa, of Ethiopia, crossed the finish line to win the Boston Marathon in 2 hours 9 minutes and 17 seconds. His 2nd win. The marathon begins in Hopkinton MA w/the finish line near Copley Sq Boston, 26.2 miles later.

2. Yemane Adhane Tsegay 2:09:48
3. Wilson Chebet 2:10:22
4. Bernard Kipyego 2:10:47

Kenya's Caroline Rotich captured the women’s crown in 2:24:55. It was hotly contested w/ the runner ups just seconds behind.
2. Mare Dibaba 2:24:59
3. Buzunesh Deba 2:25:09
4. Desiree Linden 2:25:39

Security was noticeably tight. A uniformed police officer stood every 200' in their lime yellow rain jackets.

There is of course many police officers undercover. The only incidents were rain, wind, and chill. Over 20,000 participated w/ well over 1,000,000 spectators lining the route.

Millions watched on live TV. Here are the marathon stats by the numbers (i.e, Prize money: $830,500, 28,200 bananas, gallons of water needed, fruit cups eaten, and etc.)

The only MLB ballgame on Patriots' Day at 11:05 in the morning saw the Orioles fall 7-1. Much of it was caused by their own doing. Fenway Park opened on April 20th 1912. It is their 103rd Anniversary and remains the oldest park in MLB.

After a rainy Patriots' Day with the Boston Marathon and home team Red Sox ball game, it is now official w/the return of the geese and ducks: Spring has arrived.

Made my version of Pasta Mona Lisa. Boiled farfalle, onions, sausage, bacon squares, carrots, broccoli, cubed red peppers, and large black olives cut in half.

Drain the sausage and let a few paper towels absorb any grease. Then top this treasure masterpiece w/ briefly cooked dices garlic in evoo and 5 Italian cheeses melted on top. Fresh loves added onto the cheese melting makes this a masterpiece.

After a rainy and most windy Patriots' Day with the Boston Marathon and home team Red Sox ball game, it is now official, w/the return of the geese and ducks: Spring has arrived.

Hi Midnight, super shot of the red flowers with the bird flying by.
I need some good top soil for my whole yard, .98 acre, to blend in with all this clay soil. Our yard is mushy all over and left more ruts today.

Have a good night

PM, correcting, EW, SPG, yesterday, I was putting down broken block while it was raining gently. We have a good time, most of the time. Saturday, we were on cloud 9, had the 2 great grand kids for about 4 hrs. The 2 y/o had tubes put in his ears and adenoids removed and the 8 month old had tubes in his ears also Friday. Strange, both need tubes at same time? Ummm?? Will post pictures.

Have a good evening

Good morning!

I ♥ Life!

Want to cover as much as possible. Some retirees have lots of extra time to read the links.

Yesterday saw a very nippy morning w/the temp dropping to 35° (2°C). There was solid overcast or there would have been another below freezing start to the day.

Saw the exciting results of the Ultimate Fighting Championship #185 on Saturday evening. Several upsets were seen. Luke Rockhold picks up a signature career win against veteran Lyoto Machida by submission in 2nd round.

In the women's bouts, Paige VanZant (kickboxing 0, MMA 6-5-1), just 21 y/o, a huge underdog, faced veteran Felice Herrig 30 y/o (kickboxing 28-23-5, MMA 16-10-6) in the co-main event.

VanZant drilled out an impressive three-round unanimous decision win that will likely prompt a jump up the straw weight (max 52.2 kg/115 lbs) rankings ladder.

"I'm the underdog and I'm supposed to lose," VanZant said. "Winning makes me feel so much better." Scores were 30-27 and 30-26 twice. Am a huge fan of the women's MMA UFC events.

Left at 8 AM to go to Tractor Supply Co in Littleton, NH. Did not find a deal on seeds or bags of gardening material. Did find a super deal on 6' 1" real bamboo stakes.

They list for $2.99 ea. They were on sale for only 49¢ each. Plan to use them for pole beans next month. Or to prop up my Crocosmia Lucifer. Heavy rains always topple them.

Asked about Miracle Grow topsoil that was seen on Lowe's internet sale pages. The dept mgr looked online and saw bags of the 1 cu ft, reg $4.97 on sale for 5/$10. Bought 5 40 lb bags. What a super deal.

Visited WM to buy two 40 pound bags of Humus & Manure for $2 each. (Was $1.62 last year. A 30% increase) Returned home smiling w/the fabulous deals purchased. Pulled last year dead growth from the gardens, half wine barrel, and window flower boxes.

Had to pump up the wheelbarrow front tire. The portable air pump in the Dodge Dart trunk continues to be most handy. Burned the dead grass around the yard (legal here), turned over half the compost pile, then hand tilled some soil on the garden. Want to plant garlic soon.

Quickly 4 hours went by. Temp made it to 58 in full sun. Much of the snow has melted due to rain. More rain is expected all week. Tried to pull out my 24' ladder out of the ladder racks on the side of the house.

The winter of blowing snow to skirt the house saw my 24' and 32' ft ladders still frozen in snow and ice. Did not want to chance hurting may back. Wanted to repair the varmint's hole into the attic. Will have to delay that further.

Came in exhausted, back was sore from using all my muscles. Had ribs and veggies for lunch, then relaxed to listen to the ball game as this was typed. So happy spring is here and 6 months of baseball.

In the northern Mid North America the ISS orbits by 8:08 PM. One can see the ISS w/the naked eye (even w/city lights at night). Seeall the satellites in your area.

The temp is 29° (2°C) with the high to be 44° (15°C). Rain sees a 70 - to 90% chance all week.

Civil twilight is 5:23 AM EST. Night is 8:07 PM.

Sunrise: 5:54 AM. Set: 7:36 PM.

Length of day: 13h 42m. Length of visible light: 14h 44m. Tomorrow will be 2m 53s longer.

Have a pleasant day!

Good morning!

I &hreats; Life!

ISS time tonight is at the link at the bottom of my post.

snow, Never, ever!

On April 19, 1775, in the Province of Massachusetts Bay, patriots from the surrounding Towns of Lexington and Concord, MA fired on the British Army. The Battles of Lexington and Concord were the first military engagements of the American Revolutionary War.

Today is know as Patriots' Day in Massachusetts and Wisconsin and Patriot's Day in Maine. It is celebrated on the third Monday of April. The Boston Marathon is run on Patriots' Day every year. The Boston Red Sox play at home in Fenway Park on Patriots' Day every year since 1959.

Since 1968 the ballgame has started at 11:05 AM. The Boston Marathon, the oldest and largest continuous marathon in the world, begins its race at 9:30 AM. This is so both events do not end together and bottle up traffic.

Today is also GB Claudie's birthday. A very Happy Birthday Claudie!

A fabulous Saturday that was forecast as 100% chance of rain on Wunderground.com all day long. Had plans to work on my roof and did not not, per the expected rain.

We rec'd sunny skies while towns above and below this area saw on and off rain. High was a pleasant 64° (18°C). Then at 2PM the sky rapidly turned gray. 2:27 PM heard a t-boomer. 2:29 saw a huge downpour.

Thought about the beautiful red edged hemerocallis (daylilies) seen at the OSJL store in Northumberland all day and night. Looked them up in mail order nurseries and found them to be $15 ea.

Loaded up the recyclables and took them to the Recycling Center. Asked the attendant how the sap run went on his trees. He said he rec'd what he needed, yet overall the season was a disappointment in this area.

He said in Vt and ME along w/north and south of here saw a banner year. Thursday when the young woman cashier at Big Papa's was spoken to, she said her folks maple sugar farm in Barnet, VT was having a slow maple sap season.

What is interesting about the Town of Barnet VT is that it has only 129 people. It comprises 5 separate villages w/a giant area that totals 43.6 sq miles.

This is The Center of Town aka as 'The Commons.' Much of it is rural, milk farms are abundant, and the prime way of life. Unless one is retired. Then TV usually is.

The mighty CT River passes right thru the beautiful town. The spring melt often overflows on its banks. Otherwise life in northern VT is very slow paced and care free.

HAD to return to the Town of Northumberland, NH toget 4 pkgs of 6-8 each for $3.99 at the Ocean State Job Lot. It was formerly an Ames store. Also bought nifty summer shorts for $10 and a real solid leather belt for just $7. Look out WM, you have real competition.

It rained so hard and became so dark after 2:30 PM the power was expected to go off. It still could at any time.

In the northern East Coast the ISS orbits by 8:28 PM. One can see the ISS w/the naked eye (even w/city lights at night) and all the satellites in your area, if seeing them in the country.

The temp is 36° (2°C) with the high to be 59° (15°C) in sunny skies.

Civil twilight is 5:25 AM EST. Night is 8:06 PM.

Sunrise: 5:56 AM. Set: 7:35 PM.

Length of day: 13h 39m. Length of visible light: 14h 41m. Tomorrow will be 2m 54s longer.

Have a splendid day!

Good morning!

I ♥ Life!

snow, Not even after a night of drinking. Ha!

Woke up to light rain just after 12:15 AM yesterday. One of those times where it was impossible to return to sleep. Began my rounds early and posting went quickly.

Still was unable to return to sleep after my posts even tho my eyes were heavy. After relaxing for quite a while sleep slowly overcame my active mind and could nap for 2 hours at 7 AM.

Shaw's Wicked Awesome 3 Day Sale began yesterday morning and ends Sunday at closing.

Walked the driveway w/a waterproof ball cap and my team jacket on. Wanted to make certain the driveway was passable so the Dart would not sink.

Drove into town and bough excellent looking southern style pork ribs for an incredible $1.29 a pound. Bought the ribs at the store, 3 lbs of carrots for $1.88, and low fat Hellman's Mayo for $ 1.88 for 30 oz jar.

Added 8 miles to go to Ocean State Job Lot. It is a chain of 115 discount stores operating in New England and Upstate New York w/two stores in New Jersey. Hoped to find knock off's of Hoka One One jogging shoes. No such luck.

OSJT does have its continuing stock of standard items. It is know for buying overstocks and discontinued items at low prices and passing on the saving to their customers.

Did buy a 10 oz jar of relish for $1. It was the only one w/sugar instead of HFCS. Have my eye of some daylilies that are red w/ orange in the center at that store. If they sell before my return then so be it.

Stopped at the PO and picked up my mail, a replacement DVD of U2's Rattle and Hum album, and the two spring baseball team jackets that were ordered. Very handsome, colorful lightweight jackets that are sure to greatly bother the few Yankee fans in this area and make the many Fenway Park fans smile.

Returned home to prep the 6 qt crock pot w/red potatoes, green beans, carrots and the super lean $1.29 a lb southern style pork ribs. 30 minutes before unplugging two heads of broccoli crowns were added. A fabulous dinner with about 6 - 7 meals remaining.

Temp reached 64 when the rain stopped mid afternoon. Work in the gardens are planned. My back support will be worn. Seems after only a few bends, my lower back muscles are crying, "Uncle!"

In the northern East Coast the ISS tonight orbits by twice at 7:45 and 9:21 PM. One can see the ISS w/the naked eye (even w/ city lights at night) and all the satellites in your area, if seeing them in the country.

The temp is 34° (1°C) with the high to be 57° (14°C) w/a 90% chance of rain.

Civil twilight is 5:27 AM EST. Night is 8:05 PM.

Sunrise: 5:57 AM. Set: 7:34 PM.

Length of day: 13h 36m. Length of visible light: 14h 37m. Tomorrow will be 2m 56s longer.

Have a tremendous day!

Good morning!

I ♥ Life!

Will try that 6 AM fatigue at 2:30 AM. Perhaps it is nap time. The cat is wise to get some shut eye.

In the northern East Coast the ISS orbits by tonight at 8:39 PM. One can see the ISS w/the naked eye (even w/ city lights at night) and all the satellites in your area, if seeing them in the country.

Watched some quite recent UFC MMA bouts on their home site and on youtube. Lots of action to gear its viewer for the big card Sat night.

Also on the Main Card on Fox TV are the number 8th & 12th women's MMA warriors who really know how to fight. Have been watching these two gals rise up the ladder for years

It was 21° (-5°C) outside this morning when walking to the Dart. All wet areas from the previous day's melting snow were solid ice. Even many spots on the CT River Hwy had ice (unsanded) to be concerned.

Bought at the mkt were expensive cukes 3/$2, giant leaf lettuce $1.50, limes 3/$1,1 lb of baby spinach $3, broccoli crowns $1.38. 5 bulbs of garlic $1.38 (27.6¢ ea), and cantaloupes $2 a piece.

A partial list of this week's prices at Big Papa's Mkt in Littleton, NH is found here. Click on 'See more.'

Stopped in Rite Aid to see if Heady Topper, a double India Pale Ale brewed by The Alchemist in Waterbury, VT could be ordered. It is unfiltered and contains 8% ABV, with hints of citrus flavors.

Unpasteurized Heady Topper is kept refrigerated by authorized retailers until point of sale. As of October, 2014, it was rated the number one beer in the world by Beer Advocate, and has been described as "a complex web of genius."

Sold only in limited production, it sells out within days or hours of being released. The Alchemist brewery produces 1,800 cases a week of this tremendously sought after ale. THE #1 ale/beer in the entire planet. Heard that a case is a whopping $75. That's $3.13 for a 12 can (bottles are not available.) Will know in less than a week.

Returned home, put the food away and used the 4 tine pitch fork to lift up the dead grass that is over my chive garden. Have a patch 5' x 7 now 2-3" tall', just over the size of a full size bed.

Also began to hand till the soil to plant the dozen and a half garlic cloves that have sprouted over the past week in the house. The soil is way too wet and clumpy. May add lots of humus and manure to the soil that is only $1.62 for a 40 lb bag at WM.

My back muscles ached terribly after using the pitchfork. Not a chance to walk it off. Went into the house to sit in my exec chair and relax the muscles. It was painless w/in the hour.

Hope to strengthen my lower back to be able to do common gardening like in previous years. Last year roots, rocks, and boulders were dug out of the ground w/o any issues.

The temp is 36° (2°C) with the high to be 65° (18°C) w/a 70% chance of rain.

Civil twilight is 5:28 AM EST. Night is 8:03 PM.

Sunrise: 5:59 AM. Set: 7:33 PM.

Length of day: 13h 33m. Length of visible light: 14h 34m. Tomorrow will be 2m 55s longer.

Have a delightful day!
