Good morning!

I ♥ Life!

Sad to see that posting her was forgotten.

Your crush and run must be what we call ledge pack or mfg stonedust. Packs like concrete and drains well

Have a safe journey to the airport and back.

Went to Littleton to get away from the 144th Lancaster State Fair traffic. It is the largest event in the North Country Labor Day w/e. The largest event of the year are the fireworks July 4th at the Mt Washington Grand Hotel.

Stopped in Rite as soon as they opened. My pal the mgr said after Aug 31 summer items would be 75% off list price.

Had my eye on a double awning canopy. Each side can be raised another 3' 6" to give the covered canopy a 15' 4" length. On sale for a nice price of $32.50. List was $129.99 all season.

Drove to WM for some fat free sliced cheese. Was disappointed it has been discontinued at that store. Brought two 1 lb tubs of cottage cheese. $2.02 ea.

Went to Shaw's and stocked upon condensed cream of mushroom & chicken soup. 12 oz cans are on sale for 75¢ ea. Bought 10 of each to add to the 8 there are in stock.

Bought a 6 piece pkg of boneless, skinless chicken breasts for $1.99 a lb. Have been playing w/a recipe for two weeks to make the finest chicken parmesan, sauceless cutlets, or w/a creamy sauce.

Write to me and will send you the complete recipe for all three versions. Prep 25 mins. Cook 20 mins. Ready in 1 hr or less. Recipe makes 4 servings. Very easy to make. More than worthy of the Bon Appétit restaurants.

Had A fantastic Labor Day of cooking, w/plenty of R&R, a temp of 81° (27°C), 70° dew point and a humidity of 71%.

Civil twilight is 5:40 AM EDT. Night is 8:50 PM.

Sunrise: 6:10 AM. Set: 7:20 PM.

Length of day: 13h 10m. Length of visible light: 14h 10m. Tomorrow will be 2m 58s shorter.

The temp is 63° (17°C), the high is to be 82° (28°C) w/a 60% chance of rain and t-storms.

Have a wonderful day!

My TV guide showed Criminal Minds on Friday and Saturday, 3 shows each night. The TV guide also shows different programs than my newspaper! I signed up again for DNC a couple of months ago. Think you gave me the info.

I worked on my landscaping to put an apron to my 22'X24' shed that houses the travel trailer. Have to move it to the middle and might raise it 8 to 10" for clearance. The ground as it is get wet then mushy. Digging ground out and putting old bricks/concrete chunks in ground. Then covering with #57 rock and finish with crush & run to raise ground in front so water will not go in and drain on each side to back of property and to the creek. Was really hot today. Going to start early in the morning when it is shady until about 10 am.

Have a good holiday day!

Good morning!

I ♥ Life!

"Criminal" is on A&E net? Know the alert scam. Free 1st month then 'just' $30 ea month. Not a real biz, just money grabbers.

Do you have caller id? Report the number to the DNC site. Think there is a list of your home state agency to call. Ask all caller to add your number to their DNC list. Repeat callers? Blow a whistle in their ear!

Enjoyed another episode of "Criminal Minds." Have become a big fan quickly. Watch this show first over my other faves such as "Lost Girl," "Everyone Loves Raymond" "CSI," "Law and Order," etc. It has the impact that is enjoyed in a police themed series.

Laid down to take a nap. Don't think sleep was actually achieved. Did rest my mind and body for nearly 90 minutes. That counts for at least relaxation.

Played some hours of StarCraft: Brood War. Humanity soon becomes caught in a war between the Protoss and the Zerg, which culminates with the death of the Zerg leader, the Overmind, on the Protoss homeworld of Aiur.

StarCraft: Brood War is a real time strategy game still praised even today as one of the best games in history. L=http://us.blizzard.com/en-us/games/sc/]The original site.[/L]

Loaded up the Dart w/recyclables. Could have delayed the ride, wanted to rid the accumulating glass, tin cans, and paper products. Did not notice what the featured free item(s) were. It was at 10 AM.

Took the ride to Whitefield. Wanted to see my pal the meat mgr. He took the long w/e off. No deals again this w/e. Can see all that stores prices are inching up.

The Corp Office which is an oil Company in VT has sent all 14 stores a memo that profits are down and to raise prices. This is according to the deli mgr. Can see all the retail prices increasing. 93% lean hamburger is now $4.99 a lb.

Returned home to sit in the sun and enjoy the serenity of this area. The temp climbed to 77, a 56% humidity and a wonderful 49° (9.4°C) dew point.

Also enjoyed watching the flowers, butterflies, hummers, and the yellow jackets landing and taking off from the last cairn in my property. They remind me of the jets on a carrier going and returning from patrol.

Civil twilight is 5:37 AM EDT. Night is 8:54 PM.

Sunrise: 6:07 AM. Set: 7:24 PM.

Length of day: 13h 16m. Length of visible light: 14h 16m. Tomorrow will be 2m 56s shorter.

The temp is 59° (15°C), the high is to be 76 (24°C). Chance of T-storms, 50% chance of rain.

Have a splendid day!

Midnight, my TV guide shows 3 shows on A&E on Friday & Saturday. Just noticed it today when looking for a new program.

We get many calls about a Free Alert that has been paid for including shipping, $1,000 store coupons and 75% off prescriptions. This is a scam, you have to pay monthly fee. Tells you to hit 9 to opt out, but still get them. Now getting slow talking man with deep voice telling you about a fail safe way to make money, here I hang up. Do not call should have taken effect by now.

Have a good day tomorrow, have to meet long time coworker/close friend at 7am in Hampton, about 25 miles, for breakfast in the morning.

Good morning!

I ♥ Life!

Dip the chicken breasts into panko bread crumbs, fry in evoo and it makes all the dif. A new found love for boring chickies.

I have a Lot of catching up to do on "Criminal" Love that show.

Finished my morning rounds yesterday nice and early. That gave me the time to research more info on a new project that is being done. When the time comes to announce the results, my readers will be the first to know.

Got to nap for 90 minutes. It felt Great. Keep getting phone calls from Worldcom Multimedia. It is a 703 area code, created in 1947 in north eastern Virginia just outside of D.C. A quick check discovered the Co registered on 14-03-1995 in India.

The New Delhi based company's Corporate Identification Number (CIN) is U74899DL1995PLC066369. The registration number is 066369. The company's official address is A 42/F DDA FLATS MUNIRKA New Delhi, India 110067. It is Not opportunity calling.

In a dozen calls this summer, my answering machine never had a message from them. No need for me to ever answer my phone. Keep my phone always the ringer switched off. Do keep a police whistle at the phone to give them an earful, when in the mood.

Drove to town to get some boneless, skinless chicken breast on sale for $1.99 a lb. Also had a weeks worth of mail in my PO box. Returned home to sunny medium blue skies w/a dewpoint of 54° (12°C) and a temp of 70° (21°C). Very pleasing weather.

Wanted to make a cooked stock of a new recipe that is fun and delicious. Have made them on four occasions. Will share the recipe on Tuesday.

After lunch a chair was sat in to create some Vitamin D via the sun. It felt so pleasant with a 2.5 mph (4 kph) breeze. Took a good long look at the unfinished section of the lawn. Then turned the page of my magazine.

Civil twilight is 5:36 AM EDT. Night is 8:56 PM.

Sunrise: 6:06 AM. Set: 7:26 PM.

Length of day: 13h 19m. Length of visible light: 14h 20m. Tomorrow will be 2m 57s shorter.

The temp is 54° (12°C), the high is to be 77 (25°C) in clear skies.

Have a tremendous day!

Hiya Doc
hope you have a GR8 Labor Day Weekend

Midnight, yes, we have Netflix and I watched Criminal Minds. Glad it will be back.

Yummy, recipe for crispy boneless skinless chicken breasts w/panko bread crumbs, I'll go for that!

Wife bought boneless skinless chicken breast at Costco for my birthday party with the kids. There were 8, I think, individually wrapped breast at $2.29 per lb. I'm not a big chicken breast fan, but they were good.

Have a GR8 Labor Day weekend

Good morning!

I ♥ Life!

Just for the reason you stated, am now only a green bean lover. Fruits and veggies need to be watered every day.

---> CBS renewed the "Criminal Mind" series for a tenth season which is set to premiere on October 1, 2014. Have streaming Netflix?

Finished my rounds early yesterday morn. More gymnastics of Gabby Douglas was watched via youtube. Am awestruck at her exceptional ability. Then took a 90 minute nap to get some needed extra sleep.

Woke up at 5 AM after my nap so that'll tell you when it was nighty night. Watched my first "Leverage," Season 1 Episode 1. The series of 5 years 2008-2012 has the theme of a gang of grifters, hackers and thieves out to settle scores against the rich and powerful. Absolutely the first episode sparked an interest.

Left early for Littleton. So early a side trip on the Fire Road was taken. Had my camera handy and ready to shoot. Hoped to see some wildlife on miles of the remote gravel road.

Bought at the market were 3½ to 4" tomatoes 88¢ a lb, Driscoll's black & raspberries 6 oz for $1.67, Mineola oranges 3/$1, avocados 88¢ ea, giant heads of green leaf lettuce $1.18 ea, cukes 40¢ ea, large eggs $1.98, lemons up to 75¢, limes 5/$1 and 10 oz pkg of baby bella mushrooms are $2.25 ea.

Visited WM for more fat free cottage cheese 1 lb is $2.02. Stocked upon Essential condensed cream of chicken/mushroom 4/$3. Will return to Shaws to get their Wicked Awesome specials this w/e.

Have a new recipe for crispy boneless skinless chicken breasts w/panko bread crumbs cooked in evoo. Garlic added of course. Can be dry or w/added marsala or parmigiano style.

Perfecting the recipe, then will share it. Really liking the way they turn out. The juices are locked in. Wish a 100 of them could be made and shared with everyone in a giant GB bash.

Made an excellent salad w/spinach, tomatoes, yellow and red peppers, mushroom, onions, broccoli, green leaf lettuce with shaved carrots, evoo and cottage cheese on top. Nothing beats a homemade salad.

The temp saw a high of 67° (°C) in mostly blue skies w/a breeze. Went outdoors after dinner in just boots and shorts. Left the few blueberries on the last highbush. Mowed nearly ¼ more of the lawn. My hip was acting up so mowing was stopped.

Civil twilight is 5:35 AM EDT. Night is 8:58 PM.

Sunrise: 6:05 AM. Set: 7:28 PM.

Length of day: 14h 22m. Length of visible light: 15h 23m. Tomorrow will be 2m 57s shorter.

The temp is 52° (11°C), the high is to be 73 (23°C) in clear skies.

Have a delightful day!

I &hearts Life

Wife harvested a lot today out of our garden. Eggplant drying up as are the string beans. Back neighbor got her to go down to their garden and pull string beans. Asked her if I could help her shell them. Yes was her quick reply. Watched "So you think you can dance". Shelled them for at least an hour.

I watch Criminal Minds, but hasn't been on for last couple of weeks.
Also watch H50 and Blue Bloods.

Hey, good luck on that hip replacement! My close friend of almost 20 years had one done and it worked well for him. Gotta have my right thumb done hopefully early September.

Have a good Friday

Good morning!

I ♥ Life!

Watched an episode of Season I of "Criminal Minds." Really like the show and have become big fan. Read that CBS renewed the series for a tenth season which is set to premiere on October 1, 2014. Am all for another season.

Played StarCraft: Brood War and battled the Terrans, Zerg, and Protoss on land, in the mtns, and in the air. Have been playing this award winning game since its release in 1998. If not played for two weeks, it is felt something special is being missed.

The StarCraft universe is set around the early 26th century. Terran exiles from Earth have colonized a distant area of the Milky Way galaxy. They agree on the United Earth Directorate (UED) — an international body governing Earth

Went outdoors to perform some garden maintenance and harvest some of the last highbush of blueberries that ripened very late. There is about 1 cup of berries remaining that needs to still ripen.

Also harvest 3 2" strawberries and saw two tomatoes turning a healthy orange. Made certain to spray four pieces of wood w/deer and rabbit repellent and added another container of scent under each plant. Too late in the season to afford to lose a harvest.

Held my head up high and began the tedious task of mowing the lawn. Began at the foot of the driveway and worked my way to the perennial gardens. Managed to finish half of the lawn until my hip cried "uncle".

Enjoyed basking in the sun studying grandmaster chess games from a mag. Like that my hip does no hurt while seated. In a week next Thursday, my oral surgery will be completed.

Will then call the orthopedic surgeon's office and get an appointment for the hip replacement. Am hoping it will be in October to get this hurtle out of the way and return to my normal life.

Civil twilight is 5:33 AM EDT. Night is 8:00PM.

Sunrise: 6:04 AM. Set: 7:29 PM.

Length of day: 14h 25m. Length of visible light: 15h 26m. Tomorrow will be 2m 55s shorter.

The temp is 59° (15°C), the high is to be 70° (21°C) in clear skies.

Off to get some deals at BiG Papa's Mkt this morning.

Have a fantastic day!

Good morning!

I ♥ Life!

Thought the movie was so great it was seen twice. Amazing ability.

Getting our summer this week Warmest temps since the beginning of July. Day get shorter, trees turn color.

The top dollar for leather is a comeon for unneeded extras.

Hummers can have quite the ramming fights and go after each other. Quite the show.

Crock pot cooked pork sirloin cutlets and green beans for 2.5 hours. Added sliced onions, yellow peppers, and broccoli to cook al dente for the final 30-40 minutes. All came out perfect.

Really liking the first season of "Criminal Minds". Many shows were missed in this intense story of FBI profilers. The scripts are right up my alley. A suspect is found which turns out to be someone else.

Took a pleasing cruise to Littleton early this morning. Wanted to speak to the female mgr of the local convenience store w/gas pumps. She does not work mornings. Wanted to ask her lots of Q's.

Stopped in WM for a few items and get some fat free cottage cheese. Stocking the shelves was a friend know for 20 years. He is past retirement age, yet will not.

Like so many others, he feels very uncomfortable about not working and remaining home. We swapped stories for nearly 30 minutes. He is the best stocker WM has. Not a chance it will be mentioned or he will even get a warning.

Met a fellow doing 35-40 mph in the 50 mph speed zone on the CT River Hwy. He continued to step on the brake. Sure is annoying. Downshifted into 3rd and hit the pedal to the metal.

The turbo kicked in instantly. What a sound of engine and exhaust acceleration and a rush of power. In 3 seconds the car was at 85 mph. Wild, raw excitement! Hand shifted into 6th, then reset the cruise control to 55.

Returned home to make some homemade pork fried rice with lots of veggies w/evoo and thick cooked sliced mushrooms. Had some of the midnight black grapes that were on sale.

Enjoying browsing in the gardens looking at the flowers and delight in the two new wildflower section of the seen 1" wide annuals that have blossomed. Think the seed was spread way to thick, like grass seed, not flowers ever ½ inch.

Watered to fruits and flowers. Pruned the tomatoes to speed up their ripening and remove the few remain suckers. Many are now seeing orange colors and should to turn red very soon.

Harvested a cup of blueberries. That is enough for a breaky w/cereal for up to 5 meals adding other berries. Temp reached a pleasant 83° (28°C) in clear skies w/low humidity and a dew point. Spent an hour relaxing in the sun reading.

Civil twilight is 5:32 AM EDT. Night is 8:01 PM.

Sunrise: 6:03 AM. Set: 7:31 PM.

Length of day: 14h 28m. Length of visible light: 15h 29m. Tomorrow will be 2m 56s shorter.

The temp is 64° (18°C), the high is to be 80° (27°C) in clear skies.

Have a fabulous day!

Seems like just a bit ago I was typing I ♥ Life!

I know we would like it, watched her during Olympic's. She is a celebrity around here. They had several showings of her from the bigining.

Getting cold there already? We have had 2 nice days that were brezzy and not real warm.

I agree with you, leather is not worth the extra $$$$'s.

We like watching the Hummers too, not seen any fighting.

Have a good evening.

Good morning!

I ♥ Life!

See her in the movie below. Give it 15 min and the Mrs and you will love it. Saw it again yesterday.

The Free Gabby Douglas Story is here. (85 min - PG) On updated FF browsers a pop up window w/an ad will appear, plus a Playboy.tv ad. Using Chrome w/AdBlock Plus deletes the ads. Movie is also on streaming Netflix. Or Free on putlocker.is using Chrome.

Enjoyed seeing a half dozen of the Gabby Douglas routines in the pre-Olympic's and her awesome gold medal performances in 2012 and earlier. No TV signals in the mtns will always mean a catching up with the times for me.

Then watch a nearly 20 y/a super middleweight boxing match between Roberto Duran and Vinny Pazienza I & II. Then watched Manny Pacquiao vs. Juan Márquez I. Their first was a draw. There are three more matches to see on another occasion.

The low was 48° in the wee hours. It was nearly 55° when it was time to go outdoors. Wore just shorts and sneakers. Did two hours of garden maintenance.

Lots of dead flowers to trim off and leaves. Now that the sun is much lower above the treeline, want to give the newly planted perennials all the sun they can get to grow deep roots before the winter arrives.

Can see maple trees showing a hint of color. Other trees such as white and yellow birch are now showing leaves w/o chlorophyll. It the season for the change in autumn.

Vacuumed the Neon and the Dart. Used a portion of a can of foamy cleaner on the Dart's back seat. Cardboard box dust from going to the Transfer station built up on cloth.

For $4,000 more, black or white leather upholstery could have been selected. Was not at all worth the money to me. Used a light scrub brush to work the dust out of the pores and a towel to wipe up the foam. This worked well.

Watched three hummers in battle. One would fly into and bump another. Then the third would steal some nectar from the crocosmia. The winner of the first clash would attack the third. On and on the fray continued until they flew off into the forest.

Civil twilight is 5:31 AM EDT. Night is 8:08 PM.

Sunrise: 6:01 AM. Set: 7:33 PM.

Length of day: 14h 31m. Length of visible light: 15h 32m. Tomorrow will be 2m 54s shorter.

The temp is 59° (15°C), the high is to be 86° (30°C) in clear skies.

Have a wonderful day!

I ♥ Life

Midnight, sure would like to get one of those subs!
The peppers were picked by my friend, who is my daughters friend. Wife had told him to take what was ready to pick while we were gone. He said the pepper was turning red. He is dropping it off tomorrow, he lives about 1 1/2 miles from us and goes by everyday on way home from work.

Who is this "Gabby"? Her story has been on our local stations several times and lives in Chesapeake, less than 50 miles from us. She is a determined young lady and deserves every metal she won. She is a positive young lady. After the Olympics, she toured the local cities, but not on our side of the river. That is one story that we will watch.

Thanks for the movie sites, saving it to my files.

Good morning!

On the road the nylon scrubs expertly. Ya gotta try a steak and cheese w/genoa salami pepperoni, mushrooms, onions and peppers. A fave since my first.

Battery is brand new, just bought. Someone/thing took your peppers?

Had a pleasing combo of 3 fresh berries w/1% milk and wheat bran flakes for breaky at 3 AM. After my rounds had some fabulous laughs watching "Everybody Loves Raymond". Then settled down to watch "The Gabby Douglas Story" (2014) 1hr 26m PG-13.

This powerful inspirational story is the life of an 8 y/o girl that fell in love with gymnastics. A dream that got stronger with age. She saw a Chinese coach on TV, "The Coach of the Year" and wished to train in his gym 1,000 miles away, in Iowa.

Her mom got injured and could not pay the bills. Poor is only when one runs out of hope. Gabby was rich w/talent, had the desire to learn, lots of muscle strength, and gifted.

A host family from Iowa decides to take Gabby in for 2 years so she can train w/her beloved coach and his wife at their gym. The coach rebuilt her, trained her to do the impossible, so grace can join in on her skills, then propelled her to the Hall of Fame.

Along the way Gabby had several falls and lows. Sometimes the only way to get stronger is to get knocked down. Gabrielle even felt like quitting. Her mother visited her in Iowa and reminded her of the sacrifices made so she could pursue her dream.

The only thing worse than failing is quitting. She returned to the gym w/renewed determination. Her coach told her, "A champion is not made of muscle. It is made of heart."

Gabby Douglas performed w/the U.S. Women's Gymnastics team at the 2012 Summer Olympics. She won gold medals in both the individual, all-around, and team competitions in each of the four gymnast events.

Gabrielle Douglas is the first African-American gymnast in Olympic history to become the individual all-around champion, the first American gymnast to win gold in both the individual, all-around, and team competitions at the same Olympics as well as being the only American all-around champion to win multiple gold medals.

She was also a member of the gold-winning U.S. team at the 2011 World Championships. Gabby reaches for the stars. A heartwarming film for the entire family that shows adversity may be conquered. My rating is a 6 on a scale of 5.

Top 10 best of the FREE movie sites. Two are Smartphone friendly. Six are in HD.

Did return to that Shaw's store to check the cod price. It is now $5.99 a lb for this week. ; )

Did not know about putting soap in nylons for scrubbing hands. Going to borrow on of wife's and try it.

That major size steak bomb looks like my kinda sub!

Those red peppers look great! We planted some and had a couple big ones on vine before we left, still green. Told wife to leave it and it would probably be red when we got home yesterday. Well, they are gone now!

Have a good week

Midnight, that pitcher pump is an antique!

Do the stockings fit? :>)))

Try Jumping with one of the terminals disconnected from the battery. It may have a dead cell.

Good morning!

I ♥ Life!

Woke up well before 1 AM yesterday and began my rounds. Sometime around 4 AM returned to sleep for 90 minutes. Felt so much better after the extra sleep.

My neighbor up the mtn has a son who visited me early in the morning. The cause being my outside hand pump failed. He turned the leather suction flap over and the Harvard pitcher pump was as good as new.

Asked him to take a look at my Neon. Connected the removed battery cable and he could not get it to turn over. Said he will ask some pro mechanics what it could be and return in a few weeks.

Drove the Dart to the Recycling Center before the glass, tin, and paper could collect in a giant pile in the house. Spoke to a few of the town residents. Featured item of the week was a brand new stainless steel saucepan.

Drove to Whitefield and was surprised to see traffic. The cause of this was a 300 person bicycle race from Twin Mtn to Littleton. Police were in Whitefield and in Littleton directing traffic. Also to prevent cyclists from being hit as they took two rights across oncoming traffic in their 20 something mile (32-48 km)race.

Visited a lady friend who has a barn sale loaded with items. Bought 2 pairs of new nylon stocking that look like they are left over from the 1950's They probably are. Two pairs for 25¢.

Plan to go to the barber shop and get a bag of hair to place in the legs and tie a knot. Nylon stocking w/a bar of soap inside is ideal for washing ones' hands that have pitch pine. The mesh really scrubs deeply.

No deals at my pal the meat mgr's supermarket today. Headed to Littleton and decided to stop at the Gold House for their major size steak bomb for $8.06 inc tax. The 12" size did not disappoint.

Then stopped at Big Papa's Marketto look for 1 PM deals before the 2 PM auction of all produce begins. He had sweet yellow bell peppers 5/$2.

Saw that Shaw's had a sale on 3 liters (101 oz's)od Bertolo's Evoo for a mere $16.99. Jumped on that and left the store to avoid temptation to buy more items on sale.

Went to Home Depot and bought 3 new ¼"wide lag bolts 1¼" long to have nice new shiny bolts to attach the pump to the top of my well.

Could use a catch container and a run off pvc pipe to send the run off water from the pump down the gentile slope off into the forest. Have a small and far too shallow dry well filled w/pea stone.

Civil twilight is 5:28 AM EDT. Night is 8:07 PM.

Sunrise: 5:59 AM. Set: 7:36 PM.

Length of day: 14h 37m. Length of visible light: 15h 38m. Tomorrow will be 2m 53s shorter.

The temp is 49° (9°C), the high is to be 79° (26°C), to be sunny skies..

Have a splendid day!

Good morning!

I ♥ Life!

We have rivers. They Never dry up. Prolly have enough water for all of New England.

Hope my long distance driving days are over. Best wishes on SW finding the key.

Enjoyed a thrilling TV crime drama early in the morning yesterday. A college campus is terrorized by a serial arsonist. The profile team attempts to find the wear abouts of the next fire and who the arsonist is in the TV series "Criminal Minds."

The series follows a team of profilers from the FBI's Behavioral Analysis Unit. The show differs from many procedural dramas by focusing on profiling the criminal, called the unsub or "unknown subject", rather than the crime itself. New on Netflix.

Went to bed after 8 PM the night before. Had hoped to sleep until 4 or 5 AM. Sleep until 2 AM. The cause being at 8 AM an abdominal ultrasound was to be done at the hospital.

Did not eat from 1PM the afternoon before until 9 AM. When the test was completed, hightailed it to Subway for a white egg, bacon, provolone, with all the veggies on a 6"flatbread. No jalapeno peppers or hot sauce. A coffee (or soda) included w/tax for $3.27.

Had my shopping list for Shaw 3 day w/e and new weekly sale. Purchased bone in sirloin pork chops for a great price of $1.69, midnight black grapes are $1.67, (bought red the day before for $1.50 a lb) and red peppers field grown are $1.99 a lb. High for this time of the year.

My list was written down that cod was $5.99 a lb. The seafood mgr said it was $6.99 this week. Went to the the front where the fliers are and yes, it read $5.99 a pound.

Returned to the seafood dept and asked for 9 pieces of cod w/big fat loins. When they were all wrapped after weighing (almost 8 lbs), the current flier was given to the seafood mgr.

She said we never sell it at that price. Told her unless they are purchased at $5.99 a lb she would be placed under citizen's arrest by me for theft by deception and bait and switch.

That opened her eyes, especially when she was told by me to call the police. Told her make up her mind, right here, right now. Could hear a giant sigh from her, as she changed the price of the cod sticker for $5.99 a lb totaling $46, instead of the $8.99 (or her $6.99 sale price) list price of $69.

Told her to have a nice day. Then went to the C.S. desk, asked for the store mgr, explained the sales ad reads $5.99 and the seafood sign reads $6.99. Told him that a return visit later will be done to check on the cod price. Mean it.

Went to Sullivan's greenhouse to ask about growing a herb garden. Was told that parsley, cilantro, basil, and oregano do not grow back each spring up in Zone 3. Will consider my new annual 2' x 4' section for a herb garden next spring. A six pack of each this year cost $2.

Bought two more 4" containers of echinacea for $1.25 ea. Returned home to put the food away and cooked some delicious cod. Planted the two new perennials, then relished lots of leisure in the gardens.

Civil twilight is 5:27 AM EDT. Night is 8:09 PM.

Sunrise: 5:58 AM. Set: 7:38 PM.

Length of day: 14h 40m. Length of visible light: 15h 41m. Tomorrow will be 2m 52s shorter.

The temp is 61° (16°C), the high is to be 75° (24°C), to be in sunny skies.

Have a tremendous day!

Hope it is found also. Going to wait a few weeks to see if it turns up. They said they check under the tracks daily.

The picture of the creek looks like the leaves are turning already! See you got some more good buys!

Been driving all day, stopped by wife's sisters for lunch and a visit with here and her husband. Drove almost 400 miles today.

Have a GR8 weekend

Good morning!

I ♥ Life!

Hope that expensive key is found. Lots of great shows and movies on Netflix.

Left a bit early for the market. It was a very pleasant drive on the CT River Hwy. Everything was so calm and peaceful. A light fog flowed over the river, 3 to 4' above.

With much of that road repaved it felt like cruising down the blvd. A gaggle of 2 dozen geese were laying down resting and grazing in a newly mowed hayfield. The leaders were looking around and most vigilant.

Was the first to arrive at the market. The only cars in the end of the lot were the help. The young hubby, his wife, and his dad were stocking the tables rapidly.

The 6 helpers were unloading the store's own 53' tractor trailer. This is taken to the Boston Produce Center the evening before. is open 8-8 PM Thurs thru Friday. At 2 PM on Saturday. All produce is sold in a fast paced auction.

Bought a few items including 5 bulbs of garlic for $1, navel oranges 3/$1, Driscoll's raspberries 6 oz $1.67 ea, red grapes $1.50 a lb, 2 lbs of onions, $1.38, baby bella $2.25, wax beans $1.18 a lb, Butternut (also acorn) squash 44¢ a lb and cukes up to 50¢ ea.

Went to Shaw's and bought imitation crab in over 2 lbs pkgs for $1.99 alb, Boneless ,skinless chicken breasts on sale for $1.69 a lb (not a typo). broccoli crowns, for $1.49, and cans of Essential condensed cream of soups for $75¢. Bought 10 of each kind.

Headed to Rite Aid and chatted to my pal the store mgr., swapping stories and laughs. Took NH Rt 116 that parallels the Ammonoosuc River It is a wild brook trout tributary of the CT River to Whitefield.

Bought some store made pepper and garlic sausage to freeze. Mostly for my homemade chili. A fine price of $2.99 a lb. Also bought a block of cheddar cheese, 2 lbs, for $9 on sale in the deli.

Got to take some photos for the town calendar during the triangular drive thru 4 towns. Was happy to get the herd of cows that was evasive all summer.

Saw a new sign that point down a trail that goes to a pond that intrigues me to visit real soon. Have an 8 AM appointment at Weeks Memorial Hospital in radiology for an ultrasound in my abdomen.

Civil twilight is 5:26 AM EDT. Night is 8:11 PM.

Sunrise: 5:57 AM. Set: 7:40 PM.

Length of day: 14h 43m. Length of visible light: 15h 44m. Tomorrow will be 2m 51s shorter.

The temp is 57° (14°C), the high is to be 73° (23°C), in partly cloudy skies now.

Have a delightful day!

Good morning!

I ♥ Life!

Look under the loops daily says it all. Like the prison theme of Orange. It is like the real thing. Some bi scenes (a few quick ones), otherwise it is a compelling series. People rave about it. 3rd season being filmed. The characters are as if you are right there in prison. Watch the pilot, see if you like it.

Am a fan of all colors of marigolds. Hope the rabbits are not!

The ISS orbits by early tonight and tomorrow evening. 8:21 PM on the East Coast. Minutes later in the Midwest. See the times for all satellite orbits over North America.

Enjoyed finishing my rounds earlier than usual. Watched the new to Netflix, "Criminal Minds." Enjoyed seeing this show when it came out, until the digital signal had less wattage and could not reach the mtns.

Began watching "Patton" (171 min) w/the Great George C. Scott, also Karl Malden co-stars. Saw it many y/a, want to see this epic film again. Patton puts his foot down and expects all to act like a soldier in WWII. Including the wounded.

Went out when the sun rose above the trees. Used the scissors to trim we down all perennial leaves that are blocking the 6 new perennials. Saw the echinacea, only 4-5 inches tall, was being shaded.

Needed to cut out a direct sun to allow its roots to travel as far as possible by first frost. Have room for 2 more in a different spot. The butterflies enjoy the flowers for nectar immensely.

Have a highbush blueberry stil w/green berries. Should get another pint or more in a few weeks. Strawberries are producing more fruit, now the the canopy of grapevines have been cut and removed.

Wildflower are doing great. Tossed some rugged twisted branches from the collection gathered from the storm some days ago on top of the all the wild flowers. Do not want an animal using the soft tilled soil as comfortable bedding.

Felt ambitious and re-mowed the back of the house done a few days ago. Now all the lawn is cut to the same length. Nice to do most of this in the shade. Like the cooler temps and no rain are slowing it growth.

Poured on deep tanning oil, sat in the sun,and enjoyed the read and breeze. Nice strong uv rays. Temp reached a pleasing 77° (25°C). It is the highest temp in the past 30 days.

Civil twilight is 5:25 AM EDT. Night is 8:12 PM.

Sunrise: 5:56 AM. Set: 7:41 PM.

Length of day: 14h 45m. Length of visible light: 15h 47m. Tomorrow will be 2m 50s shorter.

The temp is 58° (14°C), the high is to be 74° (23°C) in clear skies now. 40% chance of rain.

Off to the market to look for some deals.

Have a fantastic day!

Hi doc, good to hear from you. Very hot in Florida, 97 last 4 days, but no rain on us. Have a good week

Midnight, the key came out of my pocket, the hotel key card was found in my seat and given to me. Not knowing my key was not there, thanked the guy and left. We to Sea World this morning and talked with them and showed them wife's key so they know what it looks like. Said the look under the loops daily for lost stuff.

Is Orange worth watching? Don't know anything about it.

Haven't seen the first weed, but we have lots of the second one and like it.

Wife raises the marigolds of different colors and plants them around garden every year.

I baked in the sun again today at Busch Gardens in Tampa. Back to Aquatica again tomorrow for last day here, but will have flops tomorrow. Friday we leave and going by to see wife's sister near Ocala, then half way home. Stopping in NC to visit my last 3 Aunts.

Have a good day tomorrow

Good morning!

I ♥ Life!

Oh no, what a key to loose. On a loop the keys could go flying anywhere. Sad to learn of this. Hope the keys are found.

Need 3 sets of glasses. Loose them often.

Gosh hot pavement on bare feet is quite the memory for me.

Saw an episode of "Orange is the New Black" yesterday morning. A privileged NY'er is sent to a women's prison for a crime committed in her past. In the Emmy Award winning comedy/drama series.

Two seasons of this show are on Netflix, the producer of the series, and a 3rd season is being filmed for release next July.

Went outdoors early. Ripped or dug crab grass that was beginning to grow in my gardens. Also pulled the jewel weed that grows so rapidly.

Also cut down many sword like 2" leaves and stalks of crocosmia lucifer that the rain laid flat a few days ago. It was smuffing out the sunlight of neighboring perennials and would have killed the lawn.

Found room that was 2' x 1' for a dozen flowers. Hightailed it to Sullivan Greenhouses where two 6 pack mixed marigold were on sale at half price. Two for $2.50.

Returned home to see how root bound the marigolds were. Used the blunt blade of a scissors to twist out the tangled roots. This method worked nicely and quickly.

Have the assorted colors of the dozen in the ground. Sprayed two small blocks of wood w/deer and rabbit repellent and added two scent containers on either ends.

Moved the front half of the lawn. The amount of twigs and leaves amazed me from the rain storm a few days ago. The mower did get only half of them. Will have to pick the twigs by hand. 100's of them.

Sat in the sun, added lots of deep tanning lotion, and read a book. Could hear something in the distance thrashing around in the forest. In fact looked up several times. It was a racoon, which was promptly chased away.

Civil twilight is 5:23 AM EDT. Night is 8:14 PM.

Sunrise: 5:54 AM. Set: 7:43 PM.

Length of day: 14h 48m. Length of visible light: 15h 50m. Tomorrow will be 2m 50s shorter.

The temp is 52° (11°C), the high is to be 79° (26°C) in clear skies.

Have a fabulous day!

Midnight, lost another. Will have wife download lazarus tomorrow.

I'm in the doghouse now, lost the electronic key to our car. On a ride at sea world, getting off, a worker came to me and said hotel key card was in the seat. Shallow pockets, maybe car key came out and fell to ground on one of the loops. They are something like $350 to replace. Going to check tomorrow.
Tomorrow, we are headed to Tampa and Busch Gardens with grand kids.

I liked Raymond. Good comedy.
No shoes, left them in locker. Did go back and get them when my feet started burning.

Always had transition lens, only 1 set to keep up with.
Take care of that hip!

Have a good day tomorrow
Have always said that on specials, food can sit on my shelf just as easy as on theirs.

Good morning!

I ♥ Life!

The space bar and the Enter for a new paragraph have lost my posts. Have left here several times the link for Lazarus Form Recovery. Pick your O/S link. Click on the icon in the message box and your former post appears. Good until the pc is off.

Can remeber 97 degrees on the Beach Blvd. No shoes is burning hot. Why no shoes?

Got lots of laughs watching 2 episodes of "Everybody Loves Raymond." Need an early morning laughter to cleanse the soul and face the pleasing day of sun.

No time to even think of a nap. Had an 8:15 appointment with the Littleton Hospital Ophthalmologist. Here is a man that does it all w/one's eyes, including laser surgery. Truly my first appointment in 40 years.

Asked for rec'd a photocopy of my last visit that documents ocular migraine and copies of all the other tests performed. Have a clean bill of eye health.

Got my eyes measured and checked for roundness and depth. Sphere is equal, cylindrical is a close .25 difference and the axis is .005 dif. Have 20/40 vision and my first eye glass prescription since 1974.

Own three sets of eye glasses. Two are clear plastic, one of them is a transition lens in the sunlight. One is permanently a prescription sunglass w/UV protection. Ideal for the snow covered mtns.

Bought four cans of condensed cream of mushroom soup at WM. Their Great value brand was $1.25 ea. Passed on the 2 lb bay shrimp and the 41-50 large shrimp. Did buy another 8 lb bag of epsom salts for $5.43.

Ent next door to Shaw's and saw their Essential brand of condensed cream of mushroom soup was on sale for 75¢ a can. Bought 8 cans and two cream of chicken.

Also bought a 2 lb frozen pkg of imitation crab for $1/99 a lb. An elderly lady spoke to me on the cost of meat, poultry and seafood that has increased tremendously.

Listened to her and them told her the only way to save is stock up and freeze the on sale items. She agreed w/me completely. Returned to WM and got my money back for the cans of condensed soup. Shaw's was 40% less.

Returned home to place the items away then went outdoors. Did lots of garden maintenance in the sun. Decided all 6 of the perennials bout and transplanted were not in the direct sun they needed.

Made a paper plan to move them later in the morning. Considered mowing the lawn. My hip hurt way too much from use in the hospitals and in the stores to mow. Will mow later on.

Civil twilight is 5:22 AM EDT. Night is 8:16 PM.

Sunrise: 5:53 AM. Set: 7:45 PM.

Length of day: 14h 51m. Length of visible light: 15h 53m. Tomorrow will be 2m 49s shorter.

The temp is 48° (9°C), the high is to be 73° (23°C), w/sunny skies later.

Have a wonderful day!

posting tonight, hit the space bar and it went away.
On "the baby is here, we are going on vacation for a week. He is on the way"!! Duh, was really tired, almost midnight, baby was born Saturday about 4:30pm.

Today, went to Aquatica, a Sea world water park, with step son, his wife and our 2 youngest grand kids. Was 97 Degrees and the walk way was hot. No shoes and had to run to shade or wet walkway. Love the river drift, just float around. Sat by the pool tonight watching grand kids play water volly ball with others, and listened to the DJ music.

Going to Sea World tomorrow.
have a good week

Good morning!

I ♥ Life!

Would imagine you are on the road somewhere.

Went out after my posts in the morning to cover the containers of scent. There was mist/light rain. A trace of .01 in was rec'd.

Returned inside to watch an episode of "Lost Girl" and lie down for a while. Was drained from the 1 AM wake up. Tried to sleep, could not. Took a walk in the gardens to see the flowers, fruit, and plants.

Played some land and air battles w/the three species on StarCraft: Brood War. Hoped the lawn would dry out to mow. It did not. Went to the Recycling Center, P.O. and then to Shaw's.

Passed on the $7.99 large cooked shrimp 41-50 per lb., 14 oz. Visited my pal the meat mgr in Whitefield to see if there were any big deals. None, even hamburger increased by 30¢.

The main office told him to increase the meat prices. All meat, poultry, and seafood prices have increased by 33% in the last few months. Am glad my freezer is well stocked food.

Decided against driving to WM just to price shrimp. Nothing else wasme. needed. Figured it is $7 just to drive there and return home. Will think of other items needed to make a trip worthwhile.

Boiled in the microwave ⅓ lb of linguine, drained well, a pour of evoo, diced garlic, Mrs Dash, a half can of cream of mushroom soup, with thick slices of cooked baby bella and broccol added to the pasta.

It went well with a part of a chicken breast. Will have it for 4-6 more meals.

Rain early in the afternoon drove my inside. Nice to get caught up with paperwork and some light house cleaning.

Civil twilight is 5:19 AM EDT. Night is 8:19 PM.

Sunrise: 5:51 AM. Set: 7:48 PM.

Length of day: 14h 57m. Length of visible light: 15h 59m. Tomorrow will be 2m 47s shorter.

The temp is 54° (12°C), the high is to be 66° (19°C), w/a 50% chance of rain now in overcast skies.

Have a splendid day!

Good morning!

I ♥ Life!

$21 a year is a bargain. Baby is here AND on the way? Missing something reading this. What are you saying with "here AND on the way/"

You drive will be excellent w/a stop in GA and 42 mpg. That is living well.

Woke up at 1 AM yesterday, did my rounds, watched an episode of Law and Order, then took a 90 minute nap. Was nice and refreshed when it was noticed that the time was 7 AM. Lots of day left.

Went outside to pick up the remaining sticks and branches the storm had left the other day. Had done only half the property the day before. Made a good size pile that will be super for kindling.

The battery was installed in the Neon. Nice to see the dome light come on and the ding sound that the door was open. Turned the key and it did not crank. Will have my buddy's son looks at the two possible causes this w/e.

The lawn was so wet from dew the night before it sparkled in the sun. Decided to go for a drive and allow the sun and wind to dry the grass. Headed for the P.O. and rec'd some bills with lots free cc offers.

Went to Shaws for their Wicked Awesome 3 Day w/e sale. Saw cooked large shrimp for $7.99 41-50 per lb., 14 oz. bag. Will compare that to WM prices during the w/e.

Did find two excellent deals. Cappicola (Spicy Hot Italian ham) was on sale for just $2.99 a lb. Both both pkgs that were discounted, as they were the near ends of the loaf and sliced.

Saw a loaf of Scala bread that expires today marked down to $1.50 a one pound loaf. Had a plastic knife in the car just for these emergencies. Cut off two slabs of that soft tender bread and made a fabulous cold cut sammie.

Was going to visit my pal at his store in Whitefield. Then changed my mind to go to Sullivan's Greenhouses. Talked to the young gal who was met two weeks ago.

Bought 6 pint (4") perennials of 2 each of Rudbeckia-hirta, Echinacea-magnus, and Blanket flower (gaillardia grandiflora). Returned home, put the food away , then prepared and planted the perennials.

They are in the 24-30" and 30-36" size when matured in three years. Easily worth the $7.50 paid for all 6. Mowed half the more difficult half of the lawn, then returned inside for a treat of grapes.

Civil twilight is 5:18 AM EDT. Night is 8:21 PM.

Sunrise: 5:50 AM. Set: 7:50 PM.

Length of day: 14h 59m. Length of visible light: 15h 02m. Tomorrow will be 2m 45s shorter.

The temp is 54° (12°C), the high is to be 71° (22°C), in partly cloudy skies w/lots of sun.

Have a tremendous day!

I ♥ Life

Hi Midnight, well, free for local residences this week only, and, if you want to join for a year, it was $21 each, which we did.

Thanks Midnight, the baby is here, we are going on vacation for a week. He is on the way!! :>))) We stop near Georgia for the night. 780+- miles. We did this end of January with trailer and I had to do all the driving, wife don't do the truck. Taking car this time, save on gas, truck with trailer gets 12mpg and hybrid gets 42mpg running with the traffic.

Last week, we lost power, but I didn't. Generator kicked right in.

Missed ISS again, maybe will be able to see it tomorrow

Have a GR8 weekend

Good morning!

I ♥ Life!

Would enjoy a tour of colonial Williamsburg. Free is the best cost.

Your drive sounds like a Long 1 day and a better two day drive. Hope the baby is born while you are there. Best wishes and have a safe trip tomorrow!

The ISS orbits twice 9:09/10:45 tonight and tomorrow night 8:20/9:46 in some areas.

At 5 AM my power went off yesterday morning. Phoned the Public Service Company of New Hampshire to tell the Co that my power went off. A pre-recorded message stated many communities surrounding me had no electricity.

Decided to go back to sleep with the power returning in 10 minutes. The quickest it returned in many years.

The rain rec'd Wednesday peaked at 4:30 PM with .40" an hour falling. The wind gust reached 18 mph (28 km/h). The rain rec'd was an inch. Went outdoors to see the rugged cherry tree 16' from the house split off and tipped over.

Saw many branches and tips of trees blown on my lawn, the mtn road, and on the hwy on the way to Littleton. Two trees that were across the highway were removed earlier with debris and sawdust piles from chainsaws present.

At Big Papa's Market (prices and photos) brought were giant cantaloupes $1.75 ea, pints of raspberries $1.67, tomatoes $1 a lb, 5 lbs of carrots are $2.75, and broccoli crowns $1.38.

Also bought were limes 5/$1, lemons 3/$2, oranges 50¢ ea, green beans $1.18 a lb, cilantro $1.33, parsley $1, spinach $3 a lb, and baby bellas $2.25 for 10 oz.

Temps have been in the mid 60's (C) all week sunny w/ just 2 days of rain. Love these temps the best, unlike places with temps of 102° (39°C), such as bloody Fresno has — each and every day.

Love the mild temps of New England, the congenial country folks, livin' so wonderfully rural, and down to Earth, andthe lower cost of living that is so pleasing.

Often am reminded of "The Good Life", (a movie and TV series), it is a philosophical term for the life that one would like to live, originally associated with Aristotle.

Civil twilight is 5:17 AM EDT. Night is 8:23 PM.

Sunrise: 5:49 AM. Set: 7:51 PM.

Length of day: 14h 02m. Length of visible light: 15h 05m. Tomorrow will be 2m 45s shorter.

The temp is 50° (10°C), the high is to be 65° (18°C), w/a 40% chance of rain now in overcast skies.

Have a delightful day!

Nice day today, we went to Williamsburg for the free day of touring. And, for $21 each, go now have a year pass, normally about $80. Interesting tours.

Yep, we are leaving Saturday, sometime. Will wait until 2-3pm to see if she goes. But need to leave around then. We have to stop overnight anyway, 780 miles. Can't check in until 4pm Sunday. Be back following Thursday or Friday. At least wife can help drive, she don't do the truck!

Yes, enjoyed our day

Have a good weekend

Good morning!

I ♥ Life!

Do love this area. No big cities, just beautiful rural country. Looked at the stars tonight. Moon is still too bright for meteor watching.

Hope natural birth will happen when the baby is ready. The mom will know. You are going to drive to Fla this w/e? What a ride!

Enjoyed playing Starcraft: Brood War. It is the expansion pack for the award winning military science fiction, real-time strategy video game StarCraft. Floats my boat since 1998. Adventure, action, and my all time favorite: War.

Did want to nap, fought the fatigue from the 1 AM rise. Picked some dime size blueberries and examined the plants for those japanese beetles. Covered the containers of ammonia and my scent.

Returned inside to add the contents of the crock pot into the 2 quart pyrex. Washed the crock pot, then added four of the six boneless skinless chicken breasts bought Sunday for a great price of $1.69 a lb.

Added a can of condensed cream of mushroom soup, some carrots, 5 red potatoes, and the last of the green beans. Decided to do my laundry then drive to Littleton to buy a battery for the Neon.

WM was jammed like it was Saturday. Long lines in 10 open check out counters. Bought several other items then went to the SCM desk. After an amazing 15 minute wait, the battery was purchased and the core, brought into the store was credited on my account.

Bougth a think and stocky mini notebook w/200 pages and plastic covers, called a 'fatbook' for just 97¢. 9" x 11" ruled notebooks were on sale for only 17¢ ea. Bought a gallon of Rain X. It coats the dry car glass windshield like it was telfon. Rain bounces off of it.

The 32-40 shrimp to a lb was out as was the 8 lb pkg of epsom salt. Instead of stocking on black pepper, two original Mrs Dash containers were bought for $2.38 each Black pepper retailed for 50 ¢.

Went to Shaw's to buy an end of deli roast beef for $4.99 a lb and green grapes for $1.47 a lb. Also bought another 10 6 oz cans of Bumble Bee Chunk White Tuna in water for 69¢ ea. Love tuna, especially at that price.

It sure did rain like mad on the way home. WUnderground stats read .25" an hour. in my 40 min drive. Needed to slow down to 40 at times. The hwy was difficult to see clearly.

Checked for plant damage. There was none. Everything is getting a drink. Left a hat in the rain to wash it on the gentle cycle. Will go out after my post, wash the car, and allow the rain to rinse it off. Lots of fun.

Civil twilight is 5:16 AM EDT. Night is 8:24 PM.

Sunrise: 5:47 AM. Set: 7:53 PM.

Length of day: 14h 05m. Length of visible light: 15h 08m. Tomorrow will be 2m 43s shorter.

The temp is 56° (13°C), the high is to be 65° (18°C), w/a 90% chance of sun in partly cloudy skies. Off to the market for some light shopping.

Have a fantastic day!

Midnight, still waiting! She is soooo big, I feel sorry for her. Son in law told me tonight that if she doesn't go into labor by Monday, he will induce her. She does not want that and we agree with her. We plan on leaving early Saturday for Florida, but will wait until 4-5 pm, then we have to drive!

The town of Bath, that is where my brother lives!! Oh, in North Carolina! That picture with tranquil waters is very relaxing.

Did not see the moon, nor the meteors due to cloudy sky.

Have a good night

Good morning!

I ♥ Life!

Overcast is here now. Only shows seen here is either PBS or Netflix. Or the meteorites and heavens.

Watched an episode of "Breaking Bad" and "Orange is the New Black." Then took a 90 minute nap. Decided to drive to the Super WM in Woodsville and buy some food items that my local one does not carry.

It was a pleasant drive down scenic Rt 302 east through rural towns named Lisbon, Lyman, Bath and Woodsville. Mostly vast farms with corn growing are see. Also saw many wildflowers of all colors in bloom on the sides of the road.

The Town of Bath wooden bridge is still being refurbished. From its quaint downtown, it looks to be ready for the autumn tourist season. The Ammonoosuc River was so beautiful and peaceful. A pair of ducks frolicked in its tranquil waters.

Fought oncoming hunger while passing the Subway section of that WM. Stopped at the Gold House in Littleton Take a peek at their menu and scroll down to see their low prices.

My choice was a fantastic Steak and cheese special w/onions, peppers, and mushrooms. A rich 12" long feast for just $7.39 plus tax. Grand total only $8.06. The biggest and best in the area.

Civil twilight is 5:14 AM EDT. Night is 8:26 PM.

Sunrise: 5:46 AM. Set: 7:54 PM.

Length of day: 14h 07m. Length of visible light: 15h 11m. Tomorrow will be 2m 42s shorter.

The temp is 65° (18°C) w/a 100% chance of rain.

Have a fabulous day!

Good morning!

I ♥ Life!

The ISS orbits over every latitude and longitude so the cameras can view all of Earth. More info.

The ISS orbits by twice early tonight on the East Coast, northern America, and in BC Canada. Look for it in your area.

Saw the pilot of a TV show that has been on my interest list for many months on Netflix. Like the way the pilot was edited to get the viewers attention with plenty of action. Then go back to the correct time line.

The show is "Breaking Bad." A high school chemistry teacher dying of terminal cancer teams with a former student to manufacture and sell high grade crystal methedrine to secure his family's future.

One of the strangest story lines ever. Rottentomatoes.com (the put down site) gives this a rare 100% score from its tough critics and a 99% viewer approval. Will see the 2nd episode and keep an open mind.

Went outdoors mid morning to water the plants and check on things. Looks like a bunny found my lowest cluster of near orange tomatoes tasty. It dined on three and left half of the fourth.

Sprayed some short wood pieces w/rabbit and deer repellent (has a rotten egg smell for an hour then goes away, it still remains potent) and placed them on the tomato mounds. My first year having a tomato harvest in August. Very happy with the preparation, care, and results.

Brought a step ladder to stand up around the fenced in 10' x 10' garden. It has chicken wire sides, then overhead and sides covered with ¾ nylon mesh. Sure does keep the birds out.

The Concord grape vine took off this summer and began to cover the four sides and all across the overhead netting. Needed the ladder to reach across the top to cut and put the vines off.

The tendrils wrap rugged and all had to be snipped off. Strawberries and green beans are now in 100% light.

Hope to one day have a super grape harvest. Will expand the east and west sides w/a trellis like addition. Even a wire strung 10' on each side is enough. Plan on it for next spring.

Civil twilight is 5:13 AM EDT. Night is 8:28 PM.

Sunrise: 5:45 AM. Set: 7:56 PM.

Length of day: 14h 10m. Length of visible light: 15h 14m. Tomorrow will be 2m 40s shorter.

The temp is 61° (16°C) with the high to be 78° (26°C) in clear skies.

Have a wonderful day!

Midnight, that is great grandson #2, not yet! Hoping last Tuesday, my BD, hoping today, daughters BD (grandma)! He is being stubborn.

Text deleted was a bunch of "s", had dosed a moment, but must have been auto deleted.

Just went out to look for ISS, little cloudy & a lot of tall trees. Thinking it runs south to north? Missed the super moon last night, saw one coming back from funeral last month, huge and bright moon.

Can't make me hungry tonight, had a lot of leftovers from last nights BD party. Then about half hour, wife asked if I wanted a piece of my BD cake, yep!! Was about 12"X14" chocolate cake, with 2lg chocolate mousse filling and chocolate buttercream icing with big flag made with icing. She brought the biggest piece in there and 3 scoops of ice cream.

Have a good night

Have a good week

Good morning!

I ♥ Life!

Hope your 2nd grandson is born today or very soon. The celebration waits!

Text deleted does not tell me much. ; )

Look for the ISS tonight at 10:45 on the East Coast and twice tomorrow evening early. Times of all satellites for all of North America.

Removed the pork chops and veggies from the crockpot, cleaned it, then added 1.5 pounds of country style pork ribs marinated with Ah So sauce. Aso three pork chops, few red potatoes, 1 lb of carrots, and 1¼ lbs of green beans were added.

Went outdoors at 9 AM and loaded 5 cairns (stacks of rocks) in my wheelbarrow and brought about 50% to pile in the side of the ditches at the end of my driveway.

That way if anyone by chance runs off the edge of my driveway, they have an excellent chance of returning to the road. Wheelbarrowed so many trips that the count was lost. Quite the workout.

Had begun stacking the cairns two summers ago. Was a fabulous morning to rid the property of extra granite that were in the 40-50 lb (18 to 22 kg) yield. NH grows lots of granite. Seems mostly to be on my property.

Began to heavily prune my Concord grape vine. Tho it is a spring tradition, vines were running across the nylon netting restricting sun to the strawberries and green bean plants.

Did see a few grapes, still green, on the vines. Battled the Japanese beetles with a container of soapy spray and a dusting of Sevin. Also shaking off the beetles into a container of soapy water lowers the population. Am often reminded, "The rules of fair play do not apply in love and war."

Had a delicious lunch of veggies w tender ribs, a part of a chop on the side, along w/a healthy salad of green leaf lettuce, spinach, pineapple chunks, three berries, squares of cheddar, black olives, cuke slices, baby bella, cottage cheese, a drizzle of evoo along with diced garlic. There is no place like home.

Listened to the home team play the LA Angels at 3:35 in Anaheim on my Dart's radio. A fabulous games and a fine win for the home team. The sun is blazed at 80° w/a 57° dew point in a pleasing humidity of 48%. It will be another day to be the sun and further my tan.

Civil twilight is 5:12 AM EDT. Night is 8:29 PM.

Sunrise: 5:44 AM. Set: 7:57 PM.

Length of day: 14h 13m. Length of visible light: 15h 17m. Tomorrow will be 2m 40s shorter.

The temp is 56° (13°C) with the high to be 81° (27°C) in clear skies.

Have a pleasant day!
