Hiya Claudie, Lighting, Don, and Dr. T. Thanks for dropping by.

Claudie - Thank you. That's great news about Mr. Claudie. Sounds like he's really doing well now.

Glad to see your pollen count is back down where it belongs. You can even open the doors and windows now without a mask. Might even get in some porch time.

Looks like all your morning errands went well for you. Enjoy the rest of your day.

Lighting - Sounds like you have been pretty busy. Glad to see you're still helping take care of your dad. I imagine he likes that.

You haven't missed much on here. The site hasn't been working worth a crap most of the week anyway.

It definitely has been a weird year for weather so far. Don't know who or what is causing it but something sure is.

Hope today is going well for you. Take care.

Don - Thank you. Sure do hope you're getting better and better as the days go by. You might even be going back to the gym sometimes by now.

Hope you're having a really nice day.

Dr. T - Thank you. Very nice picture of some beautiful flowers. You done good. :)

I'm quite sure THEY are causing all the problems. They're making it next to impossible for some of us to use this site.

Well, you really didn't like that pizza very well anyway. The grazing and the iced tea was better. :)

Good ones in the spoilage series today. I've seen wiggly flour before. :)

Have A Great Evening Everyone!

Good Morning XP,
I took the photo earlier this week of KHF's clematis, with my ol* 1.3 megapixel camera.

I don't know if it helps or not to know that you aren't alone. So far 4 others of the few folks I visit have had trouble. I can tell you what's causing it, THEY are. Every time they play with it and make a change there is potential for a problem. They "play" a lot.

I was suppose to have left over pizza last night, but all the grazing at Costco substituted for supper. I drank my supper last night, iced tea.

Hope you made it in to read this.

Food Spoilage Guide continues.

BREAD
Sesame seeds and Poppy seeds are the only officially
acceptable "spots" that should be seen on the surface of any
loaf of bread. Fuzzy and hairy looking white or green growth
areas are a good indication that your bread has turned into
a pharmaceutical laboratory experiment.

FLOUR
Flour is spoiled when it wiggles.

CANNED GOODS
Any canned goods that have become the size or shape of a
softball should be disposed of. Carefully.

Happy Thursday!

Good Morning Dave, Been very busy and not a hole lot on here.
Been working off and on when I can. Been helping take care of
my Dad.

Been watching Baseball with him when I can.

It been kinda of cold here again. You just never know what the weather
is going to do. Been having the strangest weather so far this years.
I don't know what to think. Is it "real or man made". Just my opinion.

Enjoy your Thursday why having fun in Life!

Good morning, XP,

Looks like the GB site shut down yesterday morning (again!) right after I made my morning post (about 7:30 AM), and it didn't come back up again until about 11. Sheesh! Therefore I decided it was going to be a no-round Wednesday for me.

Hubby had an appointment with the vascular surgeon yesterday morning and it went real well, time-wise and information-wise! Appointment was for 11 AM, and we got in about 10:50 and saw the doctor about 11:05. He had a CAT Scan done last week and it was good; get another one next year. If that one's also good, then they'll start doing ultrasounds instead. :)

The pollen count's looking really good around here, too; it went from 2500 yesterday to about 700 today. I believe the pine pollen is all finished b/c I haven't been seeing it all over everything. Yay! Open up the doors and windows! That is, IF it warms up enough later. It's about 40° right now, going up to about 60°. It just might be a little cool for open doors, but we'll see later.

I'm going to the grocery store this morning. Well, actually, I need to go to Mom's first and then to the store. No senior discount, but, oh, well! :)

Have a great day!

Hiya Don and Dr. T. Thanks for dropping by and thanks to anybody else that tried and couldn't since GB was down again.

Don - Thank you. Your cool this morning is almost our high for the day so far. I'm getting tired of this cold weather. I should be able to open some windows this time of year. Instead, the furnace is running. Grrrr!

Hope you're having a really nice day.

Dr. T - Thank you. Beautiful picture again today, although I don't like tulips, the colors are nice.

I was done and off the computer well before the crash. Sure wish they would figure out what is causing it and fix it.

You and your blanket does sound like you're home. :) We shop that way too. Use a list and when it's done, so are we.

That's a shame about the pizza. We don't have Papa Murphy's very often since the closest one is 30 miles from here, but we've never had one we didn't really like.

We are above freezing again. :)

Funny guide again today. That last one cracked me up. :)

Good Morning XP,
Photo taken by Julie Sccchetti at Shore Acres and posted on the county web site.

9:15 and I finally made it to your home. Did you finish rounds before the site crashed? I don't know the time, but it was down at 5:30 when I first tried and not back till almost 8:00.

Pond was not very pretty with fewer ducks/geese. Water looked yucky. KHF says that's because of all the pollen.

Warmer here yesterday, but cool in the house. Had a blanket over me in the evening when I was reading. Sounds like home.
I do love the sun each day. Will probably be hot on the blacktop parking lots this afternoon. Grocery ads came out today, and as I expected, not much to buy.
We are both the same kind of shoppers, in and out with our list, so that works well.

I was disappointed in the pizza. I remember a couple years ago when she got one it was soo good. KHF adds spinach and more cheese to it. I suspect it will be a supper today or Thurs.
Today for dinner is salmon before we go shopping.

Go...okay...I'd better get done on here. Need to walk.

I hope you are above freezing by now.
Food Spoilage Guide Cont.

FROZEN FOODS
Frozen foods that have become an integral part of the
defrosting problem in your freezer compartment will probably
be spoiled - (or wrecked anyway) by the time you pry them
out with a kitchen knife.

EXPIRATION DATES
This is NOT a marketing ploy to encourage you to throw away
perfectly good food so that you'll spend more on groceries.
Perhaps you'd benefit by having a calender in your kitchen.

MEAT
If opening the refrigerator door causes stray animals from a
three-block radius to congregate outside your house, the
meat is spoiled.

Hiya Claudie and Dr. T. Thanks for dropping by.

Claudie - Thank you. I didn't see the eclipse either. It was snowing here. I'll take your rain any day. :)

At least the rain lowered the pollen a little bit for you. My yard is getting green again too. Looks funny sticking out of the snow.

Sorry to hear that you got wet while you were out. At least you got your mom back in time for her class. That's good that she likes it. It is definitely good for her.

Hope you have dried off and are enjoying the rest of the day.

Dr. T - Thank you. Nice picture and cute caption.

Cold is cold no matter where you are. You may not have snow and your temp is warm to me, but to you it's cold. :)

Actually I don't ever remember you asking me about Tapley and no I've never read any of his books. You mentioned that you were reading that book but I'd never heard of him. I'll jot him down and look him up. :)

I'm sure you do miss the warmth of that wood stove in the mornings. Better to stay in bed where it's warm.

Glad you made the walk around the pond. That sure is a pretty place. You should introduce yourself to your wooly neighbors. :)

When in doubt it's always gremlins. :)

Never had a veggie pizza but I've never had a bad pizza from Papa Murphy's either.

That spoilage guide makes you want to swear off dairy products. :)

Have A Great Evening Both Of You!

P.S. Lighting sounds like you might be playing in the rain again today. Take care.

Good Morning XP,
Photo by Ken Gagne posted on the County web site.
Caption, too "dear" to pass up.

I'm freezing, and we're taking the dogs for a walk in about 45 min. I know, no snow, but mornings have been like home. brrr!

Book I finished is William Tapley's "Out Cold." I know I asked you if you read Tapley but I missed the answer in my running around. Do you?

I am not wanting to get up at even 5:00. I think I miss the warm of the wood stove.

We did make it around the pond, but not too many ducks/geese. There were about 10 babies, though.
There are 2 baby sheep and 4 adults living next door here.

I believe we are having pizza today. We playing around yesterday for the umpteenth time trying to figure out what we're having for the rest of the week. Have it, subject to change.

That's what I'm guessing about the satellite thing, but then why did it work here once, and it wasn't even plugged in nor by the window? You need not answer that. I will, gremlins.

I hope your snow is melting.

Food Spoilage Guide continued.

DAIRY PRODUCTS
Milk is spoiled when it starts to look like yogurt. Yogurt
is spoiled when it starts to look like cottage cheese.
Cottage cheese is spoiled when it starts to look like
regular cheese. Regular cheese is nothing but spoiled milk
anyway and can't get any more spoiled than it is already.
Cheddar cheese is spoiled when you think it is blue cheese
but you realize you've never purchased that kind.

Have a Terrific Tuesday!

Good morning, XP,

I didn't get to see the lunar eclipse last night/this morning. :( It started raining here about 1:30 PM and has continued off and on, even now. At least with all this rain, my grass looks greener and the pollen count is lower, though, not as low as I would have expected....from about 3500 yesterday to about 1100 today. Better, though.

I'm taking Mom to WM this morning, and that'll be it for me. The light rain is supposed to come to an end in a coupla hours, but then the wind is supposed to pick up....a lot! Hope that'll help blow all the clouds away. :)

Have a great day!

Hiya Claudie, iceeman99, Don, and Dr. T. Thanks for dropping by.

Claudie - Thank you. You took your happy feet across the street and got all the papers taken care of. :) Glad the notary was there for you.

With any luck, the rain has started by now and is washing some of the pollen away for you.

Enjoy the rest of your day.

Don - Thank you. I hope you didn't get any weather like we did. T-storms and wind last night and a big drop in temps today. It's in the 30's here now and we might see some snow tonight. Some spring.

Hope you're having a really nice day.

Dr. T - Thank you. Nice picture today.

Hopefully with your schedule change you're getting more sleep too. That won't hurt you a bit.

I didn't know it was cold there now. I remember the pond from the pics you posted before.

Could just be that thing isn't getting the satellite signal it needs where you are now. I know it worked before since I got a parking lot post. :)

Yes, we did watch the movie last evening. Some really nice pictures. We really liked it.

Thanks for passing the book info to KHF.

I saw your question about our pizza in the other thread. It was one that is really bad for you but it sure is good. 3 cheeses, pepperoni, bacon, beef, ham, and sausage. Only do that one a couple times a year.

Food doesn't usually hang around here long enough to spoil but those are some tests. :)

Have A Great Evening Everyone!

P.S. Lighting I imagine you're inside someplace watching it rain. Take care.

Good Morning XP,
Finally I am here. Getting up at 5 instead of 3:30 does change my schedule around. KHF is off to the gym for most of the morning so that means post and walk and read, but I doubt I will get to the reading.

Too cold here to go out and walk in the mornings. I think we are going out to the pond this evening to walk around it.

Yes, KHF's system is slower than the Verizon thingee that the son sent me. He simply said the thing isn't charged. Well, I am using it plugged in or trying to and it won't work. I know I'm doing it right or it wouldn't have worked in my test parking lot.

I slept well again last night. Did you watch the movie in the evening?

Tentatively we are getting a Papa Murphy's pizza on Thursday.
I think on Tuesday we go out for KHF's birthday which is in May.
Reminds me, strawberries are ripe here in the field. Must go buy a box.
I read your post in TL to KHF.

Photo by Ken Gagne posted on the county web site.

Food spoilage guide for the week prior to Easter.

Finally, a way to know what to pitch and what to save!

THE GAG TEST
Anything that makes you gag is spoiled (except for leftovers
from what you cooked for yourself last night).

EGGS

egg is probably past its prime.

Good morning, XP,

This morning I'm going to the nail salon to get a pedicure. After that, I'll stop off at Mom's (it IS only just across the street!) and have her sign some papers (and get them notarized there, too...that is, IF the notary is there!); finally I need to stop at the bank on the way home, and that'll be it! :) After that, I'll just go on home and wait for the rain to start so it can wash away lots of the pollen! BTW, the count this morning is about 3500, only up by a coupla hundred.

Hopefully this heavy pollen season will last just the rest of this week. <crosses fingers>

Have a great day!

Hiya Lighting, Claudie and Dr. T. Thanks for dropping by.

Lighting - Thank you. Nice temps for you this morning. Your weather is really spring now.

That's great that you're spending time with your father. I imagine it's good for him too to have you there to help out and keep him company.

Enjoy your baseball games. Take care.

Claudie - Thank you. Doesn't sound like the weather could have been any more perfect for you guys yesterday. Sounds like you all enjoyed yourselves too. I'll bet your mom really liked having everyone there.

I hope you get weather like that for your family get together too. That would be great.

Too bad about that nasty pollen outside. You could be spending some time swinging on the porch today.

Enjoy the rest of your day even if it is inside.

Dr. T - Thank you. I did read in TL and I'm still confused I guess. I'm assuming that KHF's is slower than the gadget when it works.

That's great that you were able to sleep that long. I'm sure you needed it. I hope you guys enjoy the play this afternoon. Some laughs would be good. You could use those too. :)

So far, so good today. We'll be leaving soon for the rest of the shopping.

Since the movie was nowhere to be seen this morning, I had to get off and get going. I'm going to send it to C. and we'll watch it on her computer this evening.

Have A Great Afternoon & Evening Everyone!

Good Morning XP,
You can read in TL about the wireless situation.
I slept better, over 7 hours last night, thank goodness.
We are going to a play this afternoon. She says a comedy so I hope some laughs.

I hope today is going well for you and you enjoy your pizza.
Speaking of food it's 6:45 and no breakfast yet so I'd best eat before I complete deliveries.

Your Sunday movie is entitled, "Spring Is In The Air." by Village Vine.

The musical selection is "Splendoarea," performed by Viktor Vogel.

There is no text. Sit back, watch, listen to the spring sounds and enjoy.

Good morning, XP,

Fantastic day at the ALF for their Spring/Easter event! Bee-you-tee-ful weather...sunshiny, about 75° and a blue-blue sky!

There were 9 of us who went to be with Mom....me, hubby, and Daughter; my brother, his wife, and their grandson; my sister and her 2 grandsons. We enjoyed the lunch that was provided and had a fun time watching all the kids picking up those Easter eggs. Fun time!

Now I hope we have the same exact weather in 3 weeks when we have our Spring get-together at my house. <crosses fingers>

So today is to be a stay-at-home day for me. I didn't get a whole lot done yesterday (though some stuff) since we went up to Mom's. Hope to get things done today since I won't have another day at home until maybe Thursday.

Have a great day!

Hiya Claudie, LD, Don, and Dr. T. Thanks for dropping by.

Claudie - Thank you. Any rain you get must help wash away at least some of the pollen. Maybe it will rain after you get back from WM on Tuesday. :)

Wow. That will be quite a crowd of your family visiting the ALF and your mom today. I'll bet she will be really happy to see all of you. I imagine the kids will really enjoy it too.

Hope you all have a fantastic time all together on a beautiful day. :)

LD - Thank you. I see you're on a stripe hunt again. Think you'll make it this time?

I'll be watching you as you advance toward your goal. :)

Enjoy your weekend.

Don - Thank you. If you're having a day like the one we have so far, it should be making you happy. Warm and sunny here and probably even warmer where you are.

Hope you're having a really nice day.

Dr. T - Thank you. Appreciate your wave. Don't overdo it though. I'm sure your flippers are tired from gripping the steering wheel. :)

Have A Great Afternoon & Evening Everyone!

P.S. Lighting hope your day is going well. Take care.

Good morning, XP,

Yeah, it was a pretty good doctor's visit for me yesterday. :)

As for rain....it's predicted for Monday/Tuesday. Hope it's not too bad by the time I go Tuesday to take Mom to WM.

It'll be a busy part-of-the-day today...the ALF is having their Spring/Easter event from 11-2 today; it includes lunch and an Easter egg hunt, among other things. Daughter will be coming over to our house about 10:45 and she, hubby and I will be going together; we'll meet my brother, his wife, their grandson, my sister, and her 2 grandsons there. It'll be a nice crowd for Mom. :) We'll stay awhile and then head on back home for the rest of the day. Thank goodness it's going to be a gorgeous day...sunshiny and about 75°. :) I just checked, and while the pollen count is STILL high (of course), it's only about half of what it was yesterday. :)

Have a great day!

Hiya LD, Dr. T, and Claudie. Thanks for dropping by.

LD - Thank you. Hope you had a good night and are having a good day. If you have weather like we do today, you probably are enjoying it.

Dr. T - Thank you. My day isn't going anywhere. I'm still right here where I always am. :)

Awaiting either progress reports or arrival news. Be safe.

Claudie - Thank you. Yuck! That pollen report really stinks. Hope you get rain during that time to help wash some of it away.

Listen to your mom, she's right. :) You came through with flying colors at the doctor's today. A few minor adjustments and you're right as rain. :) Congratulations! :)

Now you can enjoy the rest of your day at home. Just too bad you can't go outside. Do the best you can.

Have A Great Evening Everyone!

P.S. Lighting hope your day is going well for you. Take care.

Good morning, XP,

About the pollen (OMG! It's about 4000 today!)...the weather guy (last night) said there's about 10 more days of this and then the numbers will just drop off quickly. Wow! Another week-and-a-half of this! :(

It's not a stay-at home day for me today (like it usually is); I have a doctor's appointment this morning to get the results from my blood work (done on Monday). Not looking forward to the results, though, since I am concerned about my glucose level. My mom says I'm just a big worrywart, but I am hoping for the best.

Have a great day!

Hiya Claudie, Dr. T, Don, and iceeman99. Thanks for dropping by.

Claudie - Yesterday was certainly a good day for you. :)

Looks like today is going pretty well too. Got all your shopping and errands done for the week so tomorrow is a free day. :)

Too bad that nasty pollen is keeping you off the porch swing. Do the best you can inside and enjoy yourself.

Dr. T - Thank you. Hope the doze reading goes well for you today. Especially the doze part. :)

No mess yet out there. The last two times they predicted rain it went around and under us. We're about due to get some this time.

Nice otter picture. Very funny joke today. I shared it with C. this morning and she liked it too. Probably a lot of truth to it. :)

Don - Thank you. That's good that you were outside doing something yesterday. Slow and careful is the way to go. Bet it made you feel good that you could cut it yourself.

Weaning yourself off the oxygen seems to be coming right along. Probably a good idea using it when you sleep anyway. At least for a while.

Supposed to rain here today but so far it hasn't. Might go around us again like the last two times. Sounds nice where you are today.

Hope you're having a really nice day.

Have A Great Evening Everyone!

P.S. Lighting hope your day is going well for you. Take care.

Nothing to add to all I have said to you elsewhere.
Some how I will try and read doze this afternoon. Maybe I can cut back on walking.

Hope it's not too messy for you out there today.
Have a good Friday. :-))

You all otter remember that April is National Humor month.

Tired Dog

An ol*, tired-looking dog wandered into the yard. I could tell from his collar and well-fed belly that he had a home.

He followed me into the house, down the hall, and fell asleep on the couch. An hour later, he went to the door, and I let him out. The next day he was back, resumed his position on the couch and slept for an hour. This continued for several weeks. Curious, I pinned a note to his collar: "Every afternoon your dog comes to my house for a nap."

The next day he arrived with a different note pinned to his collar: "He lives in a home with four children -- he's trying to catch up on his sleep. Can I come with him tomorrow?"
---------

There may be a touch of reality in that joke.

Happy Thursday!

Good morning, XP,

It was a good day yesterday. :)

I'm doing my grocery shopping today again this week (not yesterday since Mom had a doctor's appointment). I also have to do 2 errands for hubby and then I'll be back home. :) The pollen count is still high (about 2200) so no time on the back porch yet.

Have a great day!

Hiya LD, Lighting, Claudie, Dr. T, and Don. Thanks for dropping by.

LD - Thank you. I have a few robins hanging around here too. I guess that means it's finally spring. :)

Lighting - Thank you. It does sound like nice weather is coming back for you.

Shame the home team didn't win but it's a long season. Too early to worry much about losing.

I didn't even check to see who came out on top in the round ball tournament. Forgot all about it. Baseball and movies sound better to me anyway. :)

Good luck finishing that painting job today. Sounds like you have lots more lined up after it.

Hope today is going well for you. Take care.

Claudie - Thank you. Good for you. At least have one thirsty hummer. I'm still trying to figure out where I'm going to put mine.

Good start with the Senior Center breakfast. Sounds like really good news from you mom's cardiologist too. I'll bet that made both of you feel good.

Good deal getting the yard done too. Sounds like he did his usual good job. :)

Enjoy the rest of your day and your hummer(s).

Dr. T - Thank you. Maybe you can talk your local librarian friend into ordering it for you.

I like bacon, a lot, but we seldom eat it. It is just too expensive most of the time. If something happened to make it go up, it must be really high priced now.

They sure are cute little fellers. I will definitely share them with C. this evening.

Don - Thank you. I hope you're getting sunshine today like we are. If you are it's probably a lot warmer down there too. Still not bad up here. In the 50's again today.

Hope you're having a really nice day.

Have A Great Evening Everyone!

Good Morning XP,
I did write down your book alert. I don't know yet if either system has it, but IAC I won't be looking for another couple weeks. :-)

Hair trim at noon so I won't be back home until about 1:00.

Do you eat bacon? Heard on the news this morning that the price is way up because a virus is killing off the little piggies. There is always something.

You can share this follow up with C. if you like.

Remember the polar bear cubs born at the zoo in Munich?
They are shown here with their mother, Giovanna.

The big news about them now is that they have names,Nela and Nobby. There is a rule that all animals born at the Hellabrunn Zoo in Munich, during 2013 must be given names beginning with the letter 'n.'

The twins live with their mother, Giovanna, but the trio lives separately from the cubs' father, Yogi, who was temporarily relocated to another zoo.

One more photo.

Happy Wednesday!

Good morning, XP,

I got the bird feeder up early yesterday afternoon, and later I noticed several 'visits' there. It probably was the same little birdie coming back numerous times, but that's alright by me. Must have been waiting in the trees. :)

It's going to be a kind of busy day for me today....breakfast at the Senior Center; then taking Mom to a 10:15 cardiologist appointment (to get the results from her ultrasound on her carotids from a coupla weeks ago); finally the yard guy's coming sometime this afternoon, though, I am not exactly sure what time. Maybe they'll call to let me know later this morning. Thank goodness it's going to be a nice day...though, quite windy, 'they' say!

Have a great day!

sunny, windy tweet

Hiya LD, Dr. T, Claudie, and Don. Thanks for dropping by.

LD - Thank you. Hi to you too. :)

Are you still working two jobs or did you finally get to the point you didn't have to do that anymore? I sure hope you did.

Dr. T - Thank you. Put the chimney cap on late yesterday afternoon. A fellow C. works with stopped by when he got off work and held my hand. :)

I'm sure she is going to like this one. That is amazing. I've never seen a dog missing hind legs without some kind of cart attached. That little guy is really something.

Claudie - Thank you. You have lots of good news today. Pollen is down and the wind and rain helped. Yard work is scheduled for tomorrow and your mom got to go to WM yesterday after all.

I just saw the other good news at your place. Your mom got the protimes in range and doesn't have to go back for a month. You have reason to be happy and so does she. :)

Hard to believe hummingbird season is upon us again. Don't know what I'm going to do with my feeder. Snow and ice and wind wiped out a lot of my tree limbs and one of them was the one that used to hold the feeder. It used to be right outside the kitchen window away from the regular bird feeders. Have to figure out something soon.

Enjoy the rest of your day.

Don - Thank you. We have sunshine here now, finally. It was gray all day until about an hour ago. Still warm for us, in the 50's now so it's not bad outside.

Hope you are having sunshine so you can get out in it today. It always seems to make you feel good when it's sunny and bright.

Hope you are having a really nice day.

Have A Great Evening Everyone!

P.S. Lighting hope your day is going well for you. Take care.

Good morning, XP,

It rained and rained and rained pretty hard and steady from about 8 until noontime (yesterday); I checked the rain gauge and there's about 2.3 inches in it. All that rain did help with the pollen count, though, it didn't go down as much as I would have thought....it went from 2700 (for yesterday) to 1100. Better than nothing, I guess! No rain predicted for today, but the wind IS supposed to be a minor factor; supposedly going to be about 10-15 mph. That should be good b/c it can help dry things out.

The yard guy's wife called late yesterday afternoon (she takes care of the scheduling), and we decided that they could come on Wednesday afternoon to mow. I didn't want to put it off another 2 weeks b/c there are places where the weeds are getting pretty tall. So the mowing will start on Wednesday!

I am staying home today, meaning I don't have to take Mom to WM; the rain let up and the people at the ALF were able to go yesterday afternoon after all. I also got the 2 errands done yesterday that I was hoping to (even though it was still raining), so I don't need to go out today. :) I will certainly take advantage of it!

Oh! One more thing! I saw my first hummingbird yesterday evening, so I guess it's time to rinse out the bird feeder, fill it up, and get it hung up! :)

Have a great day!

Good Morning XP,
I'm with you, learn something most every day, too.
I hope C. likes my post for today, too.
Reminds me I heard the polar cubs in Germany have names. I need to look up that one.

How us the roof gadget coming, still on hold?

Meet Duncan!
Amanda Geise works for Panda Paws Rescue in Vancouver. She said she can't always keep every dog she helps rescue, but she made an exception for 9-month-old boxer Duncan Lou Who.

Duncan was in fact born with rear legs, but he was born with a deformed pelvis and deformed back legs, so the veterinarian told us we need to amputate those or let him go, Geise said. "So we decided to amputate and give him a chance. So now he's 9 months old - it's six months later - and doing great."

Duncan isn't the only two-legged pup Geise knows. She has rescued 10 two-legged dogs in the last year, and all of them have gone to great homes.

A photo of Duncan, a friend and Geise.

If you w ant to watch the one minute youtube video, you can do that here.

Have a Terrific Tuesday!

Hiya Lighting, Claudie, Dr. T, Don, and iceeman99. Thanks for dropping by.

Lighting - Thank you. I noticed the points went up when I posted them. Think they're trying to attract more members.

I see that it's raining on you again today. Shouldn't hurt anything since you have that inside painting job. Hope you didn't get any severe storms. That's a lot of rain if you get that much.

Hope your day is going well for you. Take care.

Claudie - Thank you. Don't think your yard guy came today. You said it was pouring after you got home. I imagine the ALF Walmart trip got postponed.

Glad to see your mom's doctor appointment went well. Got her back in time for the exercise class and had time to get in your errands too.

Hope you are enjoying the rest of your day.

Dr. T - Thank you. I'm sure you've finished Box by now. I hope you enjoyed it.

Except for George Strait, I don't know why they call it country either.

I did see that on my news page about Mickey Rooney. He was around a long time.

We had the good ole 5 cheese one. It still tastes better than most of the other ones.

C. did like Grumpy cat. I shared that with her this morning before she went to work. The story was interesting too. Didn't know cats had dwarfism like humans. Learned something again. :)

Don - Thank you. I appreciated the message from you this morning.

Hope you are feeling better and better. Enjoy yourself as much as you can.

Hope you're having a really nice day.

iceeman99 - Hope you're enjoying your vacation.

Good Morning XP,
By the time you read this the current Box book should be history. I wanted to finish last night, but no way.

I guess last night was the AMC's not the CMA's or something like that. Still not sure why they include the word "Country."

Did you hear that Mickey Rooney died at 93? We saw him in Portland many years ago, filthy. I wanted to leave but no where to go. Even then, I didn't think safe to go out and wait in the vehicle.

What kind of pizza did you choose?

Guessing that C will like today's post.

There was a birthday over the weekend.
guess who?

Grumpy Cat aka Tardar Sauce turned 2.

"The grump's real name is Tardar Sauce, so dubbed (and misspelled) by Tabatha's now 12-year-old daughter, Chyrstal, soon after their female pet calico gave birth to her and three siblings. The cat was tiny and is still petite, a victim of feline dwarfism, and wobbles a bit when she walks due to elongated rear legs that have only added to her popularity."

She looks like a snowshoe Siamese is what we're told most," Bryan offers. "We've had some nice comments from people about it being nice that the spotlight's on a cat that's unique and has feline dwarfism. A lot of people are happy that it kind of spreads the message that it's OK to be different. She's also such a happy cat."

Grumpy is happy and extremely chill, with a reputation for falling asleep during interviews and seeking out dark corners to hide in.

Here is another photo of her.

Happy Monday!
