Hiya Claudie, Don, and Justin. Thanks for dropping by.
Claudie - Thank you. Sure wish some of your rain would come up our way. It's been ten days since the last rain and it wasn't much. Almost another week back to the before that one. Dusty here.
Bet you find lots to do in the house on your rainy day. Enjoy the rest of it. :)
Don - Thank you. Appreciate the stop. Hope you're having a really nice day.
Justin - Thank you. Well, I got myself a large Gatorade and kicked back and read the looooong update this morning. Very nicely done but I'm glad that I could read it at my leisure. :)
Kind of a laid back day yesterday for you. I like all the family time with mom and dad. Bet they were interested in hearing all about your big trip. I'm sure grandma was too. Shame on you for not bringing her any food. :)
I think you should have door decals made for your car that say: "Katies Personal Taxi". That way you can claim your mileage and depreciation on your taxes. :)
Good deal getting the extra shift today. I'm sure you're liking that since it's your favorite job too. :)
Nice pics of the flowers today. You sure had some pretty ones.
Hope everything is going smoothly for you today. Enjoy yourself.
Have A Great Afternoon & Evening Everyone!
P.S. Lighting I'm sure you're working again today. You've been busy a lot lately and that's good. Take care.

Good morning, EXPAPERMAKER! Let me know how you like the longer update. :)
Today’s Picture! "Flower Baskets"
Today’s Picture! "Flower Trays"
After posting on GB yesterday, I gave Katie a ride to work at Al’s. Then I walked around and chatted with a few people. I also checked next week’s schedule. When I got back home I had lunch (leftovers from Aunt Gie’s dinner) and watched an episode of “Shark Tank” on my DVR. After lunch, Mom and I ran a few errands. At 3:30 pm, I greeted my Dad as he walked home from work. Told Mom & Dad about my trip and gave them their souvenirs. Then at 4 pm I went to visit Grandma. Told her all about my trip. I promised her next time that I would bring her food and bring her the 100+ pictures (I will develop them on Tuesday).
Once I got back home I caught up with a few things and rested up. I also watched some the last 2 hours of my White Sox game, they won 3-0. At 7:30 am I gave Katie a ride to work at corporate. She is now being trained to be a trainer. :). At 8:30 am, the assistant manager called and asked if I could cashier 9:30 am - 6 pm today...I said yes. So I’ll call into the radio show for my gas prediction and then go to work. So I only have time for quick replies today, sorry. :/
Have a nice day!

Good morning, XP,
It started raining lightly, but steadily around midnight and has continued ever since. Looks like it'll keep on being a rainy day; if not that, at least cloudy.
Since it's raining, I'm guessing Jake's last soccer game will be cancelled; I wasn't going anyway since it was a 9 AM game.
No special plans for today; just staying home and doing 'things.' Thank goodness I can say it's not going to mess up my plans for today! :)
Have a great day!

Hiya Claudie, Don, Dr. T, Lighting, and Justin. Thanks for dropping by.
Claudie - Thank you. Sorry to hear that the urologist didn't have any good news for you guys today. I assume he's still telling you it will straighten itself out eventually. Must seem like forever to Mr. Claudie.
Bright spot of the day must have been the Southern Cooking place. Sure sounded good to me. I got hungry reading it. :)
Hope you made it into the swing with the hummers today. :)
Don - Thank you. I'd enjoy it a lot more if I was rich and someplace else. :) Hope you're having a really nice day.
Dr. T - Thank you. The meese are cute but that won't help. They'll still smell like meese. :)
Sure wish you could send me some rain. I hate letting the yard go this long, but after last week and all the dirt I ate then, there's no way I'm going to mow again until after it rains.
I shared the joke with C. and she laughed as much as I did. It may be ol* but it's a good one. :)
Lighting - Thank you. Appreciate you dropping by with the good news that you're working today. I like it when I see that and I know you do too. :) More $$$, the better.
Hope all is going well for you and take care.
Justin - Thank you. I appreciate the shortened update today. I don't have time to read the longer one today, but I plan on doing just that tomorrow. :)
Sounds like everything went pretty well for you guys in Washington. That was an excellent idea taking the tour bus around to see the sights. With only the one day to do it, you would have never see nearly as much as you did.
You'll have to go back there some day and take a couple of days at least to tour the city. You missed as much good stuff as you saw this time.
Nice pics today. At least that old register was electric. You would really have had fun with a mechanical one. :) Good picture of the flowers too.
Hope today is going smoothly for you. Enjoy yourself.
Have A Great Evening Everyone!

Short update for rounds This is the short update version of my vacation. I'm posting this at all the spots that are on my GB rounds list. If you want the long update, please come to My home

Around 9 pm, on Monday, David and I bordered the Amtrak train, which was running about 20 minutes late. Once bordered, we enjoyed a nice dinner consisting of a herb chicken meal. While waiting for the food, I called mom. Because the train ride was bumpy, we only got a few hours of sleep. After breakfast, I went to the scenic car and enjoyed the scenery. I also chatted with mom and dad on the phone.
The train made it in only a few minutes late. About an hour and a half later, we made it to our hotel, Quality Inn. We checked in and checked out some brochures. After checking out the brochures, we made plans of what we wanted to do during our full day in Washington. For dinner, we had a filling Chinese dinner delivered. After catching up with my parents on the phone, we both decided to call it a night early and rest up for the next day.
On Wednesday after breakfast, a van took us to another hotel. At this hotel, the tour bus picked us up. The bus driver was also our tour guide and explained about all the buildings we drove by and told us interesting history facts! We also had 5 step off locations. These were: 1. The south front of the White House 2. The Jefferson Memorial 3. The Franklin D. Roosevelt Memorial / The Martin Luther King Memorial 4. The Lincoln Memorial and the US Capitol Reflecting Pool (my favorite step off) 5. Iwo Jima Memorial. After the tour bus dropped us off, I took a 2 hour nap and ate leftover Chinese food.
For dinner on Wednesday we had pizza delivered to our room. Most of Thursday morning consisted of packing and getting ready to go back home. By 11:45 am we had a taxi take us back to the station. Once at the station I went to a souvenir shop to buy some gifts. Then David and I had some burgers at Thunder Grill. By 4:05 pm, we were on the train heading home. Thankfully we made it home okay. We took the South Shore train home and once there, a friend of David’s took us back to his house. Then David gave me a ride home. Overall, I am happy with the length of the trip. One full day to tour the area and the other two days were used to rest up. :-)
Have a nice day!

Good Morning XP,
Once again I'm later than late. I keep fooling with the font, and it's awful! From what I read has to be FF 20.1. OR, maybe it's all that dust I picked up visiting here that is clinging to my shoes. Maybe I should take off my shoes and leave them outside, but then they'd get soaked. Weather Channel said rain this afternoon. Think they have am and pm mixed up.
<leaves> a shell full of rain water with you. Where oh where will your put it?
An ol*ie, but goodie :-))
BOB & THE BLONDE: Bob walked into a sports bar around 5:58 PM. He sat down next to a very attractive blonde at the bar and stared up at the TV. The 6 PM news was coming on. The news crew was covering the story of a man on the ledge of a large building preparing to jump.
The blonde looked at Bob and said, "Do you think he'll jump?" Bob said, "You know, I reckon he'll jump." The blonde replied, "Well, I bet he won't." Bob placed a $20 bill on the bar and said, "You're on!" The blonde placed her money on the bar, and kept watching the scene on the TV.
The guy on the ledge did a swan dive off the building, falling to his death. The blonde was very upset, but willingly handed her $20 to Bob. "Fair's fair. Here's your money." Bob replied,"I can't take your money. I saw this earlier on the 5 PM news, So I knew he would jump."
The blonde replied, "I did, too, But I didn't think he'd do it again." Bob took the money.
Have a Fantabulous Friday!

Good morning, XP,
Hubby's got an appointment to see the urologist this morning. We'll see what he has to say (the urologist, not hubby). Depending on how long the appointment takes, we might go to one of the country cooking places for lunch. We have to watch the time b/c hubby has to pick up Emma from school at about 2:30. We'll see how things go.
Have a great day!

Hiya Claudie, Don, and Dr. T. Thanks for dropping by.
Claudie - Thank you. You probably need to rest those legs anyway, after all that dancing. :)
You did good with the discount savings yesterday. I've been missing it lately, because I never seem to need anything on Wednesdays.
Sorry to hear about the cousins' parents having to move to the other ALF. As often as you go there, it would have been nice to be able to visit them too. Like you said though, you do know where they are. Enjoy the rest of your day.
Don - Thank you. Maybe not too big, but it's broccoli and you can eat it so that's all that counts. :)
Sure has been hot down there where you are. Warmer here but nowhere near that warm. Sure could use some of your rain though. It's really dry here again. Hope you're having a really nice day.
Dr. T - Thank you. That Action Cat (Dog) is a good one. :)
Takes a few days to get straightened around again when you get home. Things pile up while you're gone. I'm sure you've been busy. :)
Your ocean would be a sight to see anytime. I'm sure you did miss it.
Definitely a smart little boy. :)
Have A Great Evening Everyone!
P.S. Lighting I hope the work is going well for you. Take care.

Good Morning XP, I visited? Hummm, I did. Yes, unexpected. I couldn't tell you much about what I've done over the last 36 hours. :-)
Naturally I'm late, but I wanted to finish rounds before morning stuff except eating. Priority to remove AVG from my computers at home and install avast. Also have done one load of round and round, etc.
I hope your day has gone well thus far and will continue to do so. I'm going to miss KHF and Gideon, but it was good to see my ocean last evening when I made it back from Calif. to the OR Coast. I'm home! :-)
Is the young boy smart or is he smart?
Barbershop
A young boy enters a barbershop and the barber whispers to his customer, "This is the dumbest kid in the world. Watch while I prove it to you."
The barber puts a dollar bill in one hand and two quarters in the other, then calls the boy over and asks, "Which do you want, son?"
The boy takes the quarters and leaves.
"What did I tell you?" said the barber. "That kid never learns!"
Later, when the customer leaves, he sees the same young boy coming out of the ice cream store. "Hey, son! May I ask you a question? Why did you take the quarters instead of the dollar bill?"
The boy licked his cone and replied, "Because the day I take the dollar, the game's over!"
Have a Thankful Thursday!

Good morning, XP,
I'm done dancing for a while. :)
I have been lucky enough to be able to schedule my week so I DO go to the store on Wednesday and get that senior discount. Yesterday I got almost $3.
Not much going on for me this morning. I have a chiro appointment at 9:30, but don't have to go to the store afterwards. :) I DO have to go to Mom's, though, so I thought I'd check in on the cousin's parents while I'm there. That's about it, though. :)
Have a great day!

Hiya Dr. T, Lighting & Claudie. Thanks for dropping by.
Dr. T - Thank you. Unexpected but very welcome visit from you. :)
Hope all is going well on your journey. Be talking to you when you get home.
Lighting - Thank you. You sure didn't need a cold on top of the allergies. That has to be miserable, especially trying to do yard work.
Sounds like you've got your hands full with all that work this week. I hope you can figure out how to get it all done.
Hope today is going well for you. Take care of that cold.
Claudie - Thank you. LOL. I'd better move to a corner before I get danced on. :)
Good day to go to the store. You can get the Discount again. :) Hope you're enjoying your day.
Have A Great Evening Everyone!

Good morning, XP,
My happy feet are just great!
I am going to the grocery store in a little while, and that's pretty much it. Well, I DO have to get Emma this afternoon, though. Only one more week of that b/c her pre-k gets out of school next Wednesday, the 22nd.
Have a great day!

Hiya LD, iceeman99, Claudie, allanm, Don, and Dr. T. Thanks for dropping by.
LD - Thank you. You can do it, I know you can. :)
Claudie - Thank you. I can hear those happy feet dancing around and around. :)
You had quite a time at the ALF today. Setting up a reunion and having one too. That was really something that the gentleman's wife is someone you used to work with and running into the cousins too, was great.
Hope you are enjoying the rest of your day as much as it sounds like you enjoyed the first half. :)
allan - I believe you're right about the weather. It's considerably warmer here today than it has been for the last few days. We're approaching 70° this afternoon and I have some windows open instead of the furnace running.
You'll get to the no work and reading when you want soon enough. I can't imagine what that will be like for you. You already read way more than I do and I don't work anymore. They may not be able to write them fast enough to keep you busy. :)
Don - Thank you. I see your garden survived the frost. That was good news. Hope you're keeping up with the workouts and still losing weight.
Hope you're having a really nice day.
Dr. T - Thank you. Those could end up being some really sick meese. :)
We did get to watch it last night. We both really liked it. Had some beautiful pics. Took about 40 minutes to load since it had the "newer" player similar to YouTube.
I think the lake was an excellent idea and it sounds like it was really enjoyable for both of you.
I've heard that first one before but it was well worth repeating. I hope the second one never happens. :)
Have A Great Evening Everyone!
P.S. Lighting I know you're busy again today. Hope everything is going well. Take care.

Good Day XP,
I hope you were able to eventually watch the movie. It looked like one from the ol* ol* site. I have a hunch you may be in trouble with next Sunday's movie. I may not have time to look for a special one for you.
Notice I'm late. KHF asked if I wanted to go out to the lake at 7:00...YES! :-)
The next time I visit your home will probably be Thursday. Final Home Remedies:
Sometimes we just need to remember what The Rules of Life really are: You need only two tools: WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the duct tape.
And finally... Be really good to your family and friends. You never know when you are going to need them to empty your bedpan.
Enjoy a Terrific Tuesday!

Hi XP
I think we're just a day or two apart in our weather experiences. We've gone back to cooler temps over the last day or two, today was a bit under 50 when I left home, if I remember right. We should be warming up again tomorrow.
Funny, something made me think this morning as I was opening the front door to leave for work, how nice it would be to not have to go to work, but be able to stay home and read. Right after that, my mind went to appreciate what we have today, and don't wish the days away. :-)

Good morning, XP,
I was kinda surprised; the grass wasn't as tall as you might think.
It's about 42° here again; supposedly last night was the last cool one for a while. Hope that's it!
I was supposed to take Mom to a doctor's appointment this morning (6 month check-up), but got the date changed b/c of an 'event' at the ALF; now she'll go on the 31st. I don't have to take her to WM this week either. :) Since things sorta fell my way for today, I made an appointment to get a pedicure (happy feet). I have several other places to stop on the way back home, though, before I'm done.
Have a great day!

Hiya Lighting, LD, Claudie, Dr. T, Justin, and doc. Thanks for dropping by.
Lighting - Thank you. I was early yesterday afternoon. I do that on weekends so I have some afternoon left later. :)
I didn't replace my furnace yet. My furnace man died about two months ago. He serviced it for me in December and we were talking about doing it after the heating season and he didn't make it. His son is taking over the business, the last I heard, so I'll talk to him sometime this summer.
That's nice that your friend is paying you to help. Probably doing some prep work before Wednesday I would imagine.
Thanks for the link. I remember that from years past. Sure is a pretty place where you live. Hope your day is going well. Take care.
LD - Thank you. Way to go on the stripes! :) You got everything back now. All you have to do is keep them. :)
Claudie - Thank you. It was cold here this morning too. Have to wait and see if the 27° low nipped any buds on my bushes.
I imagine your yard guy had his work cut out for him today after all that rain. Probably was high and thick. Hope you're not overdoing it today. :)
Dr. T - Thank you. That meese is doing what I wish I was doing right now. Been tired all day today.
We ended up going out to eat last evening and got back later than we planned. I tried the movie and it's one that loads like YouTube...sloooow. Didn't have time to wait for it last night, but it's on the agenda for right after supper tonight. I did get to see the first couple of pics and it looks like a good one.
The last remedy must be mine. I'm still here. :)
Justin - Thank you. I don't think I've seen Cocoon 2.
That turned out to be a better lunch than you thought it would be. Great that your professor came over and introduced you to his family and told your mom what a good student you are. He must be a really nice guy. Bet that made your mom happy too. :)
I knew your mom would like what you got for her. The best part for both of you came later with the reunion with grandma. I'm really glad to hear that everything went well and you were able to stay that long. I know it was good for all three of you. :)
A busy last shift for a while for you. Hope you have a safe trip. I know you are going to enjoy your visit there. It's a great place to explore. Enjoy yourself. :)
doc - Thank you. Supposed to warm up quite a bit around mid-week here too. Not quite that high, I hope. Hope you're having a good one.
Have A Great Evening Everyone!

Good morning, EXPAPERMAKER! lol, David says we need to watch Cocoon 2! Many pretty flowers are in that tent!
Around 12:10 pm on Sunday, Mom and I left to go to Fortune House Buffet. When we were being seated, I looked at a guy and thought to myself “He looks like my Micro Econ Professor”. Since I wasn’t sure if it was him or not, I sat down with Mom. A few minutes later my professor was getting out of the booth and saw me. Then he walked over and said hello! Wow, what a surprise it was to see him!! I got to meet his wife and 3 year old boy. The Professor told my Mom that I’m a very good student and that I got an “A+” in his class. After that, the rest of the lunch for Mom and I went really well!
When we got home, Mom opened up her card and present from me. She loved them both! While getting ready for work and chatting with some friends from FB, I watched an episode of “Shark Tank” on my DVR. Around 2:45 pm, we went to go see Grandma. I saw her eyes open wide when she saw Mom and then a big smile was formed. First, I gave Grandma my card. Then Mom gave her card and present. Grandma loved everything! Then we took some pictures together. Grandma had a huge smile in all of our pictures lol. Then we talked about various things for about 30 minutes. We all had a wonderful visit together. :)
Before heading into work, I chatted with Mom’s Brother’s Wife on FB. We caught up with each other and she was thrilled to hear that our family is now doing fine since Mom is back on her medication. They hope to come to the Midwest soon so they can visit us. I worked a 4 pm - 10 pm shift in grocery. For the first 30 minutes, I worked on filling paper aisle back stock. Then I faced Aisles 12-10; 8-7. Then I took my break. When I got back from break I pulled temporary reduction sale tags. I ended my shift by facing Aisles 6-5. Billy was taking care of Dairy and Aisles 1-3 throughout the time I was there. I checked the readings report and once again we were very busy, we were up $11,000 from the projected closing number...and that was at 9:30 pm!!!!
After work I went straight to David’s house to house sit for him. I typed up most of this update and let Barney out. Then I went to sleep. Woke up every hour, but by 4 am, I finally stayed asleep and woke up again at 9 am. Well....don’t know what I’m exactly doing for the rest of the morning or early afternoon, but this evening I will be off to Washington DC!!!! Yippe!!! :)
Have a wonderful week!!!

Good Morning XP,
I hope you've had a chance to watch the movie.
...and I'm staying tuned. Not sure I have the correct call numbers. Want to give them to me again?

Good morning, XP,
It's only about 42° here! Brrrrrrrr! Hope hubby's tomato plants did alright. I suggested he cover them up, and he insisted they'd be alright. I guess we'll see in a few days.
Staying home again today (well, until I go get Emma this afternoon); the guy comes today to cut the grass. It sure needs it, too, esp. after all that rain we had a little over a week ago (when it rained about 4 inches in just the weekend!). I've got some things to do inside, so I'll probably stay busy.
Have a great day!

Hiya Claudie, Dr. T, doc, and Justin. Thanks for dropping by.
Claudie - Thank you. You should have no plans for today. It's your day so no plans is a plan...rest and enjoy it. :)
You should be waited on by those kids hand and foot today. It's their turn to do for you. :)
Dr. T - Thank you. I was gone when you left the movie and no time to load it now. We're going to watch it sometime this evening.
Not sure about the pizza today. We had pizza from Pizza Hut Friday night courtesy of a gift certificate we got for Christmas. Might get a pizza today and might not. Stay tuned. :)
doc - Thank you. Chilly here too. Just finally made 40° a short while ago and it feels colder than that with the wind. Hope you're having a good one.
Justin - Thank you. You've got a busy week coming up with getting ready and making your trip.
Wow! Two days in a row with the OT! You are really in demand. :) I liked Cocoon too. I've seen it about 3 times now. Could be because I can identify with the old guys. :)
Great minds again. We had Pizza Hut pizza on Friday night too. :)
At least two out of the three of you got to see the movie. If it's anything like the original, your mom would probably like it.
Glad to see that you are spending as much time with your mom on Mother's Day as you can. I like your pancake tradition. That's nice. :)
Hope all goes well with your visit to grandma today. I know the three of you will be fine. Hopefully there won't be any interference to spoil it.
Nice pics today. Those dogs are cute little fellers. That's quite a tent you have there. Must be lots of plants and flowers in there. :)
Hope today is going smoothly for you. Enjoy yourself.
Have A Great Afternoon & Evening Everyone!
P.S. Lighting I hope everything is going well with the kitchen job. Take care.

Good morning, EXPAPERMAKER! I have no clue why Jasmine is doing this.
Today’s Picture! "Doggies"
Today’s Picture! "Flower Tent Premiere"
These will be the last pictures that I will share until Friday since I will be away from home starting tomorrow. I will resume with more pictures from the Garden/Flower tent at Al’s. Then I will share several pictures from Mother’s Day. By the end of May, I will start sharing my pictures from Washington DC!
On Friday i worked 11 am - 8 pm (9 hours). I was scheduled in janitorial maintenance, but the manager wanted me to work in grocery instead since there was a very large load. So from 11 am - 6 pm, I stocked the shelves. Every now and then I also had to fill sale items that were running low. Jackie wanted me to bag up front for my last hour of my scheduled shift. She also wanted me to stay over an hour and continue to bag and help out the front end. I gladly took the extra hour!
After work I stopped by David’s house and we watched the movie “Cocoon”. I thought it was a pretty good movie. :) Saturday I worked 7:30 am - 4:30 pm (9 hours), in the flower tent. When I got there, Gary helped me take down all of the tent walls. Then for the next hour or so, I got the tent ready for the day. When the 9 am worker came, I stepped aside to call into the radio show to give my gas prediction.
By 1:30 pm, it was slow in the tent because of the rain and colder temperatures. So Jan asked if I could bag from 1:30 - 4 pm (I was suppose to get off at 3:30). I gladly took the extra half hour! So during that time I bagged, got carts, ran register, did go backs, and other closing duties. Around 3 pm, the Front-End Manager came up to me and asked if I could stay until 4:30 pm. I gladly took the extra half hour! After work I took care of a few things around the house. I also had dinner with Mom & Dad...Pizza Hut pizza!
At 7 pm, Chris, Nick, and I met each other at the movie theater. We all wanted to see “The Great Gatsby” at 8 pm. So for half an hour we went for a ride in my car. Unfortunately, at 7:30 pm Chris had to leave because he had to help out another friend in need. But Nick and I still saw the movie at 8 pm. We both thought it was an excellent movie! Later on I told Mom about it and I think she might be interested in seeing the movie. :)
On Sunday morning, I went to church with Mom at 7:30 am. Then we stopped by Al’s so I could give Jan her Mother’s Day card. :) Mom & I also stopped at the Flower tent so Mom could pick something of her choosing. When we got home, I made us both a pancake. It’s a tradition for me to make Mom a pancake on Mother’s Day. Busy day ahead still. Around Noon I will take Mom to Fortune House Buffet for her Mother’s Day treat. At 3 pm, we will go see Grandma. I work a 4 pm - 10 pm shift in grocery. After that I will be spending the night at David’s house to house sit while David and his roommates are away for the night.
I plan on being on GB tomorrow to let you know how the rest of my Sunday went. Notice how I said “plan”. ;) After that for the rest of the week I will just be on GB to say hi to everyone. I hope to resume my updates/rounds on Friday. I will only give a summarized update of my trip. If I were to type out my Washington DC vacation update like I do with my usual updates, then it would be way toooo long! lol. But don’t worry, I will take many pictures. :)
Lastly, a Happy Mother's Day to all of the GB Mom's out there!!!
Happy Sunday!

Good Morning XP and C,
Quick stop with your Sunday movie, Springtime Wonder.
I tired it at my slooooooow speed here, and even it won't play this morning. That's with son's gadget, too.
The hummers are at it this morning in all their glory.
Enjoy the movie and have a good trip out and later scarfing down your Mother's Day pizza!
Happy Mother's Day C. and Happy Sunday XP!

Hiya iceeman99, LD, Lighting, Claudie, Dr. T, and allanm. Thanks for dropping by.
LD - Thank you. Hope you had a good night and have a great weekend.
Lighting - Thank you. Oh well, you see the baseball games when you're awake. They will still be there next time. :)
Glad to hear that you are working again this weekend. You might be tired again tonight too. :)
Seems like you'd be ahead to just rent one each time, if you only use it twice a year for that guy's yard. Shouldn't cost that much and you should still make money doing it.
Hope today is going well for you. Take care.
Claudie - Thank you. Well, from the sounds of it you can use a nice sunny day today too. Last weekend was fun anyway despite the weather.
Does sound like a really busy morning for you. It should be lots of fun for you too. You'll probably be ready to put your feet up again when you get home. :) Enjoy the rest of your day.
Dr. T - Thank you. Sure wish I could hear hummers too. Too cold to have anything open here but it wouldn't matter anyway. I've had my feeder out for a couple weeks now and have yet to see one. They are either late this year or they don't like my stuff.
Two more good ones today. That second one is scary. :)
allan - You're right about the opposites. Feels like we've slipped back into fall. Had to turn the heat on for a while this morning and it's supposed to be even colder tomorrow.
Have A Great Afternoon & Evening Everyone!

Good Morning XP, By now you know my tale of woe so will say no more...at the moment.
Great that the book is in the library. It really is a "different" kind of western.
Door is open, listening to the hummers going crazy out there, and the sun is about ready to come up.
Have a good shopping trip today.
Home Remedies cont. (even on a Saturday this week)
A mouse trap, placed on top of your alarm clock, will prevent you from rolling over and going back to sleep when you hit the snooze button.
If you have a bad cough, take a large dose of laxatives, then you will be afraid to cough.
Have a Super Saturday!

Good morning, XP,
Yes, I sure was ready to sit down and put my feet up (after yesterday's running around)!
Wouldn't ya know it? Here it is the Saturday after my family get-together (when, if you recall, it poured and poured and poured) and the sun is shining so bright and beautiful! <shakes head>
One more busy morning/early afternoon, and then 2 'free' days! First I'm going to Jake's soccer game (at 10, thank goodness!). After that (around 11), Daughter and I are going to the ALF for something they're calling a "Barbie Extravaganza." Apparently one of the residents who passed away a coupla months ago collected Barbies for years and years and years. Her son is bringing them to the ALF for 'show and tell' (and probably hoping to sell some of them, I hear). Daughter used to play with (and later collect) Barbies when she was younger, so we're just going to check them out; not to buy any, but just to see. Afterwards we'll go somewhere for lunch. It should be another great time. :)
Have a great day!

Good morning EXPM, Fell asleep again from doing odds and ins all day. Miss my B-ball games last night. Oh will can't see them all. Did check on the Braves, they we're loosen 8 to 2 to SF Giant.
Calling for T-Boomer today will see.
Working on that kitchen this afternoon.
The ECHO and STIHL cost over $250 for anything good to use. I can't justify spending that kinda of money when I only be using it two time a year at this guy house. To do the creek bank and around this tree and the yard. It would take around two year to break even. I have an old one that is just now an edger. Had to fix it that way to get it to work. Can't take it a part to use the trimmer on it anymore.
Enjoy your Saturday!!!

Hiya Dr. T, Claudie, doc, allanm, Don, Lighting, and Justin. Thanks for dropping by.
Dr. T - Thank you. Yes, I have read westerns off and on over the years. Most recently I read Parker's western series.
That one does sound interesting and likely something I would like. Appreciate the summary. I checked and my library does have that one in regular and LP. I got it written down and will try and get it in as soon as I get all these new ones read and returned.
Claudie - Thank you. That's nice that someone else picked up Emma yesterday. Gave you the whole day to yourself. :)
Gooses huh. We have Canadian gooses flying over us twice a day now. I guess they're on their way to and from someplace. They sure honk a lot and loud too. :)
I got tired reading about all that running around for you today. I read in your place that it all worked out perfectly for you though. You are good. :)
That was really nice of the ALF to give all the ladies the card, flower and potpourri. Glad that you all made it for the luncheon with your mom. I'll bet she really enjoyed it.
I'm sure now you're kicked back and relaxing a little. Enjoy the rest of your day.
doc - Thank you. We finally got our rain that we needed. Last night and most of the day today. What we didn't need was the temps dropping into the low 40's as the day went. Can't have everything I guess. Hope you're having a good one.
allan - Glad to hear it's warmed up down there for you. We're going in the opposite direction up here. It's only 40° here now and frost predicted for the weekend. :(
Don - Thank you. I read you're taking a sort of break from here for a while. Appreciate you stopping here. Hope you're having a really nice day.
Lighting - Thank you. You must have been tired again last night. Baseball put you to sleep again. :)
I'm not sure they make any of that stuff here anymore. I know it's junk. I have an old 2 cycle McCullough weed whacker. I don't use it much, but when I need it it works. If it ever quits, I'm screwed I guess. I wouldn't waste the money on the stuff they sell now.
Hope today is going well for you. Take care.
Justin - Thank you. Sounds like Thursday was a busy day for you. You took care of a lot of important things. Getting cards for all your "mothers" and a gift for the main one. :)
I'll bet your dad's sloppy joes are good. You even got in an extra visit with grandma and gave her another ride around the place. :)
Nice family dinner before you left for work. Bet your mom and dad enjoyed the pics of Ana and Marija. You have some interesting friends there. :)
That's great that you're going to get some more extra hours. Perfect timing since it's right at the end of your vacation anyway. Busy shift for you after that.
Sounds like Jasmine is blowing you all off now. Wonder if she's always been like that and you just didn't know it?
Nice pics today of the girls' house. Sure looks like a nice place.
Hope today is going smoothly for you. Enjoy yourself.
Have A Great Evening Everyone!

Good morning, EXPAPERMAKER! You'll see a picture of me standing by the old register. :) lol yes, now I'm going to be up to 40.75 hours.
Today’s Picture! "Living Room"
Today’s Picture! "Kitchen"
Thursday was another take it easy day. During the morning I watched an episode of “Person of Interest”. Then I did some things on the computer. After that Mom and I ran a few errands. One of those errands was developing some pictures from my phone. I know I will have tons of pics from Washington DC, so I wanted to develop the ones from before the trip now. Once that was done, I did most of my packing for the trip. Then I got 3 cards (one for Jan, Grandma, and Mom) and a gift (for Mom) ready for Mother’s Day. For lunch Dad made Sloppy Joes.
By 2 pm, I was ready for an hour nap. After the nap I was energized, so I went to go see Grandma. I showed her the pictures and took her for a ride around the nursing home. :) When I got back, Mom, Dad, and I had a family dinner! We had chicken and mac & cheese. Most of the dinner conversation was about Marija and Ana. Dad was very interested in the two girls and was asking lots of questions about them. After dinner I showed my parents the pictures. Before heading to work, I helped Dad with some tasks outside.
I worked a 5:30 pm - 10 pm shift in grocery. When I got there Isaac said that Gary was wondering if I could work the Sunday during my vacation (May 19th). That would mean that Saturday would be my last day of vacation. Thought about it and said yes (It’s hard for me to turn down hours lol). Since Isaac and Rev. Kevin already got to Aisle 11, I joined Rev. Kevin there. Isaac went to fill the ice cream and then left at 6.
About an hour later I was helping a customer and walking down the aisles. Noticed in one of the aisles that Jasmine was there and was laughing at something her friend Patrick (someone that gave her a ride to the store) said. Couldn’t stop to say hello since I was helping a customer, but was hoping that she would follow me since she saw me. After helping the customer I went to look for Jasmine but couldn’t find her. I don’t know how she got into contact with Patrick and why she still hasn’t contacted me or even Katie. Found out from Rev. Kevin that Jasmine walked past him without even saying hi. Another cashier told me that she rang up Jasmine’s order and asked how’s she been. The answer, “I could be better”.
By 9:30 pm, Rev. Kevin and I had the whole store faced up. I spent the last half hour of my shift filling milk. When I got home I took care of a few things and then ended my night by watching the season finale of “Person of Interest”.
Have a nice day!

Good Morning EXPM, Fell asleep again watching B-ball game last night.
Working around today. Need to found a good 2 cycle trimmer like ECHO or STIHL. Not this junk you get at Lowes or Homedepot. Got a troybuilt late afternoon and it work for about an hour. The motor work just fine. Its the part that in the tube that doesn't work anymore. Found out its made in China> JUNK...... What happen to made in America?? I should of looked we're it was made before I got it. If I new it was from China, I would of never bought it. Troybuilt use to be American. Go figure.
Enjoy your Friday!!!
