Good Afternoon XP,
Boy of boy is it raining out!!!! It's sheeting sideways. I don't want to look at my window tracks. I haven't seen rain like this in a long time. It woke me up. Am doze reading which I need to desperately do after little sleep last night.

Goes without saying, no walking today, but I did speak with a couple folk using the tin cans joined by a string.

I checked the library and I am now #2 waiting for the Connelly book so it must have come in. Hope I won't have to make a special trip to the far town to pick it up.

Have to figure out what to replace the groaners with. Have had one thing saved but I'll address it on Saturday.

No newspaper today since the library is closed.

Does C. shop on BF?

Ham sandwich for lunch or dinner tonight?

Time to go walk or pick up my book again.

Have a good shopping trip...if you go.

Good Night!

Hiya Claudie, Don, iceeman99, doc, and Dr. T. Thanks for dropping by.

Claudie - Thank you. I see you had a really nice time with your family at your sister's house. Glad to see that. :)

Hope today is another fine one for you and yours.

Don - Thank you. The snow really greased up the roads around here and kept coming almost all day. Didn't matter, since we weren't going anyplace anyway.

Had a great meal and Loni says HI Don! I watched parts of three football games and ate too much as usual. :)

Hope you have a really nice day.

iceeman99 - Thank you. Hope you and yours had a great day.

doc - Thank you. Hope you and yours had a good one.

Dr. T - Thank you. That meese looks like me after I ate yesterday. :)

That's great that your son fixed that problem for you and some others also. Between him and Allan you have a pretty good back up crew. :)

Nice that you went for the last dinner with friends. Ham was a good switch off after two of them with turkey. :)

Meal was great and the games were good. Pie was really good too. C. loves to cook when she has the time and I love to eat it. :)

No BF here for sure. :)

Bye bye to the groaners. :)

Have A Great Day Everyone!

P.S. Lighting hope you enjoyed your day with family and friends. Take care.

Good Morning XP,
One of these afternoons I'm going to forget to stop here in the afternoon for the next day.

Son came for a couple hours in the morning. He did a few things for me and also solved a couple computer issues leaving a couple more to go if and when he can figure them out. He did fix the one that allan was trying to help me with. He used allan's directions so no more work around. I can now go directly into St. Louis once again.

Went with the neighbors for the dinner in town. Ah town, reminds me to post prices. I had ham instead of turkey. Thirsty!

Your meal really does sound good, esp. with the apple pie.
Hope you are enjoying the games.

I'm thinking some reading after I walk my last mile.

Groaners/smiles conclude for this year.

Q: Who is not hungry at Thanksgiving?
A: The turkey because he's already stuffed!

Q: What's the best way to stuff a turkey?
A: Serve him lots of pizza and ice cream!

Q: What do you get if you divide the circumference of a pumpkin by its diameter?
A: Pumpkin pi.

Q: What is a pumpkin's favorite sport?
A: Squash.

Notice, no mention of Black Friday. Whoops, I just did.
Anyone participating in the BF ritual?

Have a Fantastic Friday!

Happy Thanksgiving Claudie, Don and Dr. T. Thanks for dropping by.

Claudie - Thank you. Sorry to see that your mom's sodium levels are still too low. I don't know why they would refer her to a kidney specialist either. Sure hope she stays OK until the appointment and they find something to help her.

Hope your store trip went well for you yesterday and you got the Discount. :)

Enjoy your family day today.

Don - Thank you. Me? Overeat? Of course not. I always say that just before I stuff myself. :)

Hope you have a really nice day.

Dr. T - Thank you. Sorry to hear you didn't get your computer issue resolved. If Allan couldn't help you it must be a tough one. Hope you can work around it without too much trouble.

Glad to see you took the time to do some visitating yesterday. Needed to get your mind off the computer.

We will have mashed potatoes and gravy, sweet potatoes, corn, green beans, cornbread stuffing, and dinner rolls with the ham. Will have homemade apple pie for dessert later. :)

There are 3 football games on today also. Two this afternoon and one tonight. Will watch some of them for sure. :)

Have A Great Day Everyone!

P.S. Lighting hope you have a good Thanksgiving. Take care.

Good Morning XP and C,

What a day! Too much time on the computer.
I spent a couple hours this morning both on the phone and emailing allan to work on an issue in here. Not solved and I couldn't spend any more time on it. The good, I guess, is that I can work around it. I seem to be good at that.

Did visitate for a little while with a couple gals when I came back from the PO.
It looks like I will spend T. day locally. Email from son a short time ago, (2:00) to say they came over to the coast yesterday and will let me know what time dinner is on Thurs.) Won't work out for me.

I carried in a slew of wet wood since it's not raining today.

Was going to read, but I kept thinking of all the pics I had in this computer, the one that was gone, that needed to be moved into folders so I came over and just finished doing that. Soon I will read, I think. :-)

What will you have with your ham today...or it will be today when you read this?
Is there football on that you watch?
Did it remain sunny on Wed?

Happy Thanksgiving to both you and C.

Thanksgiving Day comes, by statute, once a year; to the honest man it comes as frequently as the heart of gratitude will allow. ~Edward Sandford Martin

May your Thanksgiving be a time of sharing with family and/or friends.

Good morning, XP,

I am hoping to hear about Mom's sodium level today, but then I don't know if the doctor's office is closed today or not. We just might have to wait until Monday to get the results.

Everything went well with yesterday's 'events.' :)

I am going to attempt to go to the grocery store in a little while. Hopefully, b/c it'll still be early in the day, it won't be TOO busy. No way would I go later today b/c I KNOW it would be busy then!

Have a great day!

Hiya Claudie, Don, Lighting, Dr. T, and iceeman99. Thanks for dropping by.

Claudie - Thank you. Good luck with the tablet shopping. Hope you find the one you want at a good price.

Hope the doctor and WM trip went well for you and your mom and that her sodium level comes back good.

Should have been a pleasant visit with your daughter and friends to finish yesterday's outings. :)

Hope you have another good one today.

Don - Thank you. Yesterday wasn't too bad. We only got a dusting of snow off and on during the day. It was windy, gray and cold but it could have been worse.

Hope you have a really nice day.

Lighting - Thank you. Glad that the tornado wasn't anywhere near you. Hope one never is. :)

Sounds like a good day for outside work. Cool temps but not cold. Hope the work went smoothly for you.

Hope today goes well. Take care.

Dr. T - Thank you. Funny graphic today. :)

Glad that your computer is back, I guess. Doesn't sound like you're really all that thrilled about it.

Hope you enjoy the Child book and the westerns.

Sounds like you did well again at Fred's. Lots of butter and the bacon. :)

We didn't get much more than a dusting of snow yesterday. Had several snow showers during the day but by evening they had all disappeared. Just cold and windy.

We bought all the fixin's for Thanksgiving last weekend and they are stored and waiting for tomorrow. :)

That was a good turkey joke. Hadn't ever heard that one before. :)

Good Wed. Morning XP,

Computer is back. Will say no more for now.

Went to the library and picked up another Child and 3 westerns.

Bought pretty much, not much, what I had planned at Fred's
Was and still is misty, rather heavy.

I did get 2 more lbs of butter so have a lot stored away. Also got a substitution for the bacon for $2.99 that I had a rain check for. They can't get any more of the original kind. Brand they substituted is just fine.

Now it's dishes time again as always.

Did your Tuesday go well consider the weather?

Good day to talk on the phone which I have done and to do the normal stuff that one does inside.

Pro Football Turkey.

The pro football team had just finished their daily practice session when a large turkey came strutting onto the field. While the players gazed in amazement, the turkey walked up to the head coach and demanded a tryout. Everyone stared in silence as the turkey caught pass after pass and ran right through the defensive line. When the turkey returned to the sidelines, the coach shouted, "You're terrific!!! Sign up for the season, and I'll see to it that you get a huge bonus."

"Forget the bonus," the turkey said, "All I want to know is, does the season go past Thanksgiving Day?"

Have a Turkey-iffic Day!

Good morning, XP,

I might have found a tablet I'm going to get. Got the price they charge at Office Depot, but still want to check a few other places for their prices, too...including WM.

Another busy morning for me. I'm taking Mom to WM a little earlier than normal b/c, on the way back to her place, we have to stop off at the doctor's office (across the street from her) and have blood drawn so her sodium can be checked. After that, I'll take her home. Then sometime before noon (or a little afterwards), I'll be going with Daughter for a short visit with some people she knows. That should then be it for the day. :)

Have a great day!

Hiya Claudie, Don and Dr. T. Thanks for dropping by.

Claudie - Thank you. I'm sure glad that you escaped the tornado with no damage. Better to just be a little scared and have nothing happen. That was a close one though.

Glad to see you got all your errands done yesterday and had time for a couple extras too. Took your happy feet to Office Depot for a little tablet shopping. :)

Hope today is a good one for you too.

Don - Thank you. You're right about the seasons. It does seem that we only really have two these days. Summer and winter. Too hot and then too cold. Not much to be done about it except gripe. :)

Hope you have a really nice day.

Dr. T - Thank you. Cute graphic again today. :)

Glad that your computer is ready and I hope the person with the answers is there today so you can bring it home. Good idea getting everything settled before you take it.

Not cooking is the whole idea behind our Sunday dinners. Quick and easy and relax. Pizza isn't bad since the oven does the work but we need a break from it sometimes.

That's a lot of butter but you're likely right about the price going up. Everything seems to be headed that direction.

Groaners is right. They are funny though. :)

Have A Great Day Everyone!

P.S. Lighting hope your day goes well for you. Take care.

Good Tuesday Morning XP,

No rain yet at 2:00 Monday, but I expect it at any time. We did get to walk, 3 of us.

My computer is finally ready. Going up tomorrow and if the repair person is in his shop to answer my Q's I'll pick it up. Otherwise I'll leave it there. Person who called me said they could answer my Q's, so I told her a few. She tried. I need to talk to the boss. :-)

Finished one western. Nothing else to do. Was a fast read.

Glad that the one movie worked for you. I thought it might.

Your substitute pizza sounds good. Best part is that neither of you had to cook.

I have 8 or 9 lbs of butter. Hope to get two more. I have a feeling the price will keep going up.More groaners.

Q: Why did they let the turkey join the band?
A: Because he had the drumsticks.

Q: Why did the police arrest the turkey?
A: They suspected it of fowl.

Q: Which side of the turkey has the most feathers?
A: The outside.

Have a Terrific Tuesday!

Hi XP

Well I guess we will just have to like it if we want to or not. It's the same thing year after year. Start the year out with very little spring the right into a hot summer finely get that over with thinking we are going to have a nice fall but nope right into winter what a bummer.

Have a nice smooth day And think positive.

Good morning, XP,

It sure was scary hearing those tornado sirens! :(

The tornado actually came kinda close by. :( Daughter lives about 10 miles south of us, and we think it passed somewhere between us (I was watching the TV coverage of it), maybe just a little closer to her since she had more wind than we did (more than likely it was in the air by that time). Anyway, no damage for us (or Daughter, though, a shed she has in the back yard got tipped a little on its side). It was actually over with faster than you'd think.

Whew! Glad things like that don't happen very often!

It's going to be a busy morning for me, starting with an appointment at the nail salon for a pedicure. After that I have several places to stop before I head home. Thank goodness there's no more threat of rain or bad weather!

Have a great day!

Hiya Claudie, Lighting, Don, iceeman99, and Dr. T. Thanks for dropping by.

Claudie - Thank you. Glad to see that you made it in and out of the stadium without getting soaked. Since the Falcons lost again that was probably the highlight of your day.

Sure glad that you didn't have any tornadoes near you. That must have been scary for you when you got home. Hope your daughter's stuff is OK.

Hope today is a much calmer one for you.

Lighting - Thank you. Good idea working indoors yesterday. Sounds like you had some rough weather all around you and a lot of rain.

Hope your day goes well for you. Take care.

Don - Thank you. Almost made it to 50° here yesterday afternoon but it rained all day. Still raining this morning but snow is on the way again. Won't have any more warm temps for a while either.

Hope you have a really nice day.

Dr. T - Thank you. I like that graphic. According to the forecast here we will have snow that day and most of the week too.

I couldn't get YouTube to load on this computer. I kept getting an error message. Download was too slow for it I think. The other link you gave me worked just fine though. C. watched the YouTube version on hers and I watched the other on mine. Very nice movie and we both really enjoyed it. :)

Glad you enjoyed the dinner and nice that you had company for the trip. Good deal getting your butter. You should be stocked up for a while now.

Didn't have pizza yesterday. Neither of us really wanted it so we raided the deli at the store for supper. I had meatloaf and potato planks and C. had little sandwiches she made with the rolls we bought made with some kind of sliced deli meat. She also had jalapeno potato salad with it. Good, quick and easy and reasonably priced too. :)

Sunday was a good day here. :)

Those Thanksgiving sayings are cute. I'll share them this morning.

Good Monday Morning XP,

Good Thanksgiving dinner at 2:00 on Sunday.
I ended up with 3 other folks riding with me. Nice to have the company. We barely made our couple stops after the meal before it began to get dark out. At least no rain, but I expect it's on it's way. Freds was busy but all I bought was 2 lbs of butter and my friend bought 2 lbs for me. We were lucky as the self check out person came over to get us and checked the butter out for us. Otherwise we would have been in line for awhile.

How was your Sunday?

It's not long now until Thanksgiving.

Q: Why was the Thanksgiving soup so expensive?
A: It had 24 carrots.

Q: What happened when the turkey got into a fight?
A: He got the stuffing knocked out of him!

Q: Who doesn't eat on Thanksgiving?
A: A turkey because it is always stuffed.

Q: Why do pilgrims pants keep falling down?
A: Because their belt buckles are on their hats!

Happy Monday!

Good morning, XP,

Oh, my gosh! It is absolutely pouring outside right now.....and we're headed to the Falcons game in a few hours (thank goodness the game in inside)! Hope it eases up somewhat, though, it's supposed to be rainy pretty much all day long. Don't relish the thought of getting soaked going from the parking lot to the Dome and then back again later. At least I have a hooded windbreaker and the trusty ol' umbrellas!

Have a great day!

Hiya Lighting, Claudie, Don, iceeman99, and Dr. Tx2. Thanks for dropping by.

Lighting - Thank you. A little warmer down there for you yesterday. That's good.

You're really getting out and socializing here lately. That's a really good thing. I'm so glad that you're doing it and having a good time too. :)

Hope the work went smoothly for you yesterday.

I actually watched a college football game yesterday too. First time in quite a while I've done that. Saw Ole Miss and Arkansas.

Hope today goes well for you. Take care.

Claudie - Thank you. I knew what you meant when you posted that gas price the other day. That is really cheap. :)

Hope your stay at home day was a good one for you. I doubt you did much relaxing though. :)

Hope today is another good one.

Don - Thank you. Temps weren't bad yesterday. Above freezing all day. It rained/drizzled most of the day but that's a lot better than snow.

Hope you have a really nice day.

Dr. T - Thank you. Glad you had some sun yesterday and enjoyed the potluck. I imagine the visitating is just as good as the food. :)

Store wasn't any busier than a normal Saturday and they were only out of a couple of items. We'll get those today at the other store.

I don't have Quick Time but if YouTube doesn't work, we'll use C.'s computer.

Have A Peaceful Sunday Everyone!

Good Afternoon XP,

We have had a mixed bag today from Sun to heavy heavy rain, but more of the former so generally nice.

Lot's of folks at the pot luck as I expected. Naturally I ate too much, but not too stuffed. Will probably pass on supper tonight, though.

My friend who moved here gave me the whole paper so I won't have to print off a butter coupon. Will get my first 2 lbs tomorrow.
How did you do at the store. Busy? Were they out of a lot?

I still have a bunch of walking to do which is a good idea after eating so much.

This is on youtube.

Your Sunday movie is Be Thankful, author, unk.

This movie is a good one for Thanksgiving or for ANY time of the year.
I know I have used it before so it may be familiar to you.

Also, you will see that it says 5:23 minutes, but it's NOT. It is repeated so when you get to the frame that says "Give Thanks," at about 2:38 minutes you have seen it all.

May you be blessed as Thanksgiving approaches.

Good morning, XP,

Sunshine and blue sky is good even if it is cold. :)

I posted a big boo-boo yesterday; I said I paid $3.34/gallon for my gas fill-up after I used my fuel points from Kroger. In reality, I only paid $2.34! Much, much better!

Another stay-at-home day for me today, and that's that! :)

Have a great day!

cold, wet tweet

Hiya Claudie, Don and Dr. T. Thanks for dropping by.

Claudie - Thank you. Hope you enjoyed doing your "stuff" at home yesterday.

I got to see sunshine and blue sky all day. It was cold but at least it looked nice. A lot better than gray sky and snow showers.

Hope today goes just great for you. :)

Don - Thank you. I did enjoy the sunshine here yesterday finally. We got one good day. It was still too cold to be outside but it sure looked nice.

Hope you have a really nice day.

Dr. T - Thank you. Glad you made it out and back before the big blow started.

I didn't finish my book but I did get quite a bit read. Had some other stuff to do inside yesterday but that was OK. It's hard to just sit and read all day.

That was nice that you got in some visitating yesterday too. At least the weather didn't prevent that. :)

Happy to hear that the computer part is finally there. Now you can get the computer back home where it belongs whenever you're ready to go get it.

Sounds like a good deal on the butter compared to the other price you told me. Good idea to stock up.

We have ham on Thanksgiving and will pick one up at the store today. Only turkey in this house is me. :)

That was a good finish to the blonde week. Liked that one. :)

Have A Super Saturday Everyone!

P.S. Lighting hope the day goes well for you. Take care.

Good Afternoon XP,
I made it out and back before the "blustery" hit.

I hope you finished another book today.
I haven't had time to read yet. Did some visitating while out and then with some friends here.
Have to set up the movie and then maybe read/walk.

I talked to the computer guy and the part came in yesterday. He hopes to have the computer fixed this afternoon. I told him I'm not coming up today. Will get it some time next week.

Oh, and I didn't get an ad of my own, but I did get to look at it and Freds has butter next week for $2.50 limit 2. I'll pick up 2 on Sunday and maybe 2 when I go for the computer if I want to make the extra drive all the way into town.

What are you having for Thanksgiving? If I remember right you are not turkey fans.

Concluding the week with another blonde smile.

Job Opening

A blonde walks into the police department looking for a job. The officer wants to ask her a few questions....

Officer: What's 2+2?

Blonde: Ummmmm... 4!

Officer: What's the square root of 100?

Blonde: Ummmm... 10!

Officer: Good! Now, who killed Abraham Lincoln?

Blonde: Ummmm... I dunno.

Officer: Well, you can go home and think about it. Come back tomorrow.

The blonde goes home and calls up one of her friends, who asks her if she got the job. The blonde says, excitedly, "Not only did I get the job, I'm already working on a murder case!"

Happy Saturday!

Hiya Claudie, Don, iceeman99, Dr. T, and Lighting. Thanks for dropping by.

Claudie - Thank you. Glad to hear that it warmed up at least a little bit for you.

You did really well with your errands yesterday in part thanks to the chiro being on time. Really good price for the gas too. :)

Happy to see that your mom's protimes were OK this time. Hope that continues.

Hope today goes just as well for you.

Don - Thank you. Leaves? Only leaves here are sitting on top of at least a foot of snow. Hope you were able to get them all mulched and taken care of.

Not planning on getting another dog at least for a while. The memory of this one is still too fresh for both of us.

Hope you have a really nice day.

Dr. T - Thank you. Didn't get much snow yesterday. It snowed off and on most of the day but very little more accumulation thankfully.

I only took C. to work the one day and yes, I do pick her up and bring her home for lunch. She has made it back and forth without incident since then.

Good blonde jokes again today. We are enjoying them. :)

Lighting - Thank you. I saw you zipping around early this morning too. :)

Sounds like a nice day coming up for you. Good day for some outside work maybe.

Glad to see that you went out with friends again and had a good time. That's good for you. Hope you can do it again soon.

Hope the day goes well for you. Take care.

Have A Great Day Everyone!

Good Morning,
Gosh, the sun is almost out. Forecast for Friday, high winds.
Rain today, Thursday, has been minimal.
Very quiet day. I am reading, doze reading and scan reading "Child."

Thanks. I hope it comes in period. Cost me a bundle, and besides I want my computer back.

How did your day end up, snow all day and evening? When I do turn on the TV, which I haven't done for awhile, all they seem to be talking about is Buffalo. I'll see what I hear tonight.

Meanwhile I want to go view the sunshine before it is gone.A Blonde's Year In Review concludes;

October - Hates M &M's because they are so hard to peel.

November - Baked a turkey for 4 days because the instructions said 1 hour per pound and she weighed 120.

December - Couldn't call 911 because there was no "11" on any of the phone buttons.

Happy Thursday!

Good morning, XP,

Whew! It's a lot warmer here this morning than it has been (it's about 34°). I saw on weather.com that it's about 15° warmer now than it was yesterday at this time. Heat wave! We might even get to 60° today (again about 15° warmer than yesterday). A few days of that, and then some colder temps again. <shakes head> I wish it would stay one way or the other, preferably the warmer temps.

A busy morning for me today. I'm going to the chiro for a 9:30 appointment and then to the grocery store (which I didn't get to go to yesterday b/c I had to take Mom out). In between and maybe after, there will be a coupla more stops, too. Whew! My last busy morning for a coupla days! In the meantime, too, I will be waiting to hear from the doctor's office, hoping for a good protime/INR number. <crosses fingers>

Have a great day!

Hiya Claudie, Lighting, Don, and Dr. T. Thanks for dropping by.

Claudie - Thank you. That much snow all at once is ridiculous. Hope it never does that here. Glad to see the pain-free continues.

Happy to see that the trip with your mom to the dcctor and WM went well for you yesterday. Sure hope her numbers are good again.

That spaghetti place sure sounds good. Haven't had it for a while again. Think it's about time to make some more. :)

Hope you have a warmer and sunny day today.

Lighting - Thank you. Your weather needs to warm up some down there. A heavy coat is a good idea but it would be better if you didn't need it. Easier to work outside if you can move.

Hope your day goes well for you. Take care.

Don - Thank you. Not much happening here either except snow and I can do without that. Got too much already with more on the way.

Staying safe and warm so far. :)

Hope you have a really nice day.

Dr. T - Thank you. Glad your weather warmed up some. Too bad you couldn't get out and walk.

Delivery from China seems slow no matter what you have coming. Hope it comes in soon.

Glad you are enjoying the Reacher book. The Rosenfelt just came out in July so it might be a while until the large print comes out.

Still snow everyday. At least a couple inches and usually more. Forecast is the same again for today. 15"+ here so far.

Good blonde jokes today again. I'll share with C. later.

Have A Great Day Everyone!

Good Afternoon XP,
It's after 2:00 and the rain is just beginning, maybe. It is warm today which is sure nice.

No one available for walking, but I figured that.
Call on my computer that is waiting for the mother board from China. Repair person wanted to let me know he is still waiting and had sent them an email.

I looked for "Hounded" in large print, but not in either library system. Have been making headway, about 200 pages worth, with my current Reacher book. So far I like it.

I haven't had the TV on so haven't heard the latest for you. Any let up?

A Blonde's Year in Review continues;

July - After losing in a breast stroke swimming competition,
complained to the judges that the other swimmers were using their arms.

August - Told her blonde friend to hurry when trying to get into their locked car using a coat hanger because it was starting to rain and the top was down.

September - When asked what the capital of California was: answered "C."

TTU on Thursday!

Watch a movie yesterday evening. No round-ball even though there we're games.
