trevor - Good morning and hi de ho.

munchkins mom - Good morning. We had a great time at the concert last night, I did recognized a few of the songs; however, my wife was familiar with the groups and the music. It was a nice crowd and it appears that everyone enjoyed it. I did post a few pictures on facebook. Have a great day.

HouHrl - Good morning.

pinkelefant - Hi pink. Yes, the concert was fun.

Claudie - Good morning. I did see a few minutes of the game and it did not look too good. I hope that they play better on Monday. We are going to a wedding later today and down to the Chattanooga Market. Have a great day.

Good morning, JM,

Hope the concert was good!

The Hawks looked HORRIBLE in their game yesterday! Couldn't hit ANYTHING (basket-wise)! :(

It ended up raining pretty hard for just a coupla hours yesterday morning (we got about an inch), and then again just a little last night. No rain again until Wednesday.

No special plans for today. I'll finish up on whatever needs to be done here at the house, and hubby will watch the NASCAR race (at 1 PM) that was postponed from last night. :)

Have a great day!

Hi JM, thank you for leaving the link. It does look like a very worthwhile program. We watched the Pirates play tonight on tv which is why I'm late posting.

Claudie - Good morning. The rain has already ended here, I think it is done for today. Going to a concert this evening, part of a scholarship fund raiser. No big plans for the weekend, enjoy your day.

munchkins mom - Good morning. I will look to see who's performing tonight, only thing I know is that the tickets were $135 each. It is for a good cause, college scholarships. I will let you know more as soon as I know more. Have a great day.

Good morning, JM,

Hawks game today at 3 PM EDT on SportSouth.

Raining. It started a little while ago (about 6) and is coming down pretty steady. It's not supposed to be an all-day affair, though; maybe just until noontime. It's enough, though, that our town's annual 'festival' was cancelled and rescheduled for next Saturday, and I am guessing that both Jake and Emma's soccer games will be cancelled, too.

This will be a good day to stay home. :)

Hi JM, we've been in the 30's the last few mornings. It looks like much of the same for at least another week. The munchkins will be wearing their winter coats for a while yet. Tell me about the concert on Saturday. I have no idea what we're up to this weekend. I think I could use a day or two at home.

Good morning, JM,

Thank goodness, our pollen 'season' is almost over! Tomorrow's predicted rain should help a lot, too! :)

No special plans for this weekend. We WERE supposed to go to our town's annual 'festival' tomorrow, but it's been rescheduled for next Saturday b/c of bad weather predicted for tomorrow.

I'll be staying home today, getting started on all those weekend 'things' that need to get done. :)

Have a great day!

Claudie - Good morning. Alex thanks you for the birthday wish, she is enjoying what she is calling, her birthday week. Happy to hear that your doctor visit went well both in time and results. Any special plans for the weekend?

munchkins mom - Good morning. It was cooler than normal around here on yesterday, our high just made it to 70° and on last night, the temperatures dropped all the way down to 64° during Alex's softball game. It should be cool again today. My weekend is someone busy, we are going to a fund raiser concert on Saturday and a wedding on Sunday. How about your weekend?

Good morning, JM,

Happy belated birthday to Alex! I saw your pix on FB. Oh, my! Now she's a teenager!

It was a good visit to the doctor for hubby yesterday, time-wise and information-wise. Go back in a year. :)

I'll be going to the grocery store in a little while; I also have a coupla other stops to make on the way home, so it shouldn't be too busy a morning. :)

Have a great day!

Claudie - Good morning. Yesterday was a special day for many reasons; it was Adminstrative Assistance Day, Earth Day, and my granddaughter's birthday. Happy to hear that you were able to get your yard mowed and another win for our Hawks.

munchkins mom - Good morning. Yes, I have been busier than usual. This weekend will be a little slower but not by much. I hope that your days are going well, take care.

Good morning, JM,

Happy Earth Day!

Hooray! The yard got mowed! The grass/weeds sure were getting tall!

Go, Hawks!

No Krogering for me today! I'm going with hubby to a 'results' appointment this morning. He had a CT Scan done last week and today we'll get the results from the doctor (it's related to the surgery he had 2 years ago). On the way back home, we'll stop in and see Mom; finally, maybe, just maybe, we'll stop somewhere and have a late breakfast/early lunch. :)

Thank goodness for another sunny, dry day!

Have a great day!

Good evening JM

I was over at Midnight Sun's place earlier and he said he figured out 1 mile=2,000 steps. Driving a forklift a lot I do about 1.5-2 miles in a night walking or on my feet. By comparison, Mrs. K does about 5 miles in a 10 hour day at her work.

Looks to be a calmer night here. We had a power outage around 5:40 AM and stayed down until around 9 AM Monday morning. With the power down and nothing to do, the majority of the daytime crew went home. By the time I walked in, there were five trucks to unload. Just to say how busy that is, that is only the third time I've seen that many trucks in the overnight hours.

Come with heavy heart as a part of my childhood has passed this week. A gentleman by the name of Jule Huffman died on Friday just turning 91 at the end of March. He was a legendary weatherman and announcer for WSAZ-TV in Huntington, WV which was offered on our local cable. Anyone in this area currently in their 30s and up grew up with him as Mr. Cartoon. He, along with his sidekick Beeper, hosted an afternoon cartoon show that was viewed by many who picked up Channel 3. The show originally broadcast for an hour at 4:00 PM, but would get moved to a time slot on early Saturday mornings in the early '90s before disappearing completely from WSAZ's programming lineup. Here is about a six minute video talking about his legacy.

WSAZ story on Mr. Cartoon

Windy and scattered rain here. Temps in the 50s but not too bad for late April.

munchkins mom - Good morning. This one of those days that I did not post early and I had trying to get it in now. I did enoy my weekend. I hope that your husband and son enjoyed the marathon and though the Penguins lost, I hope that they had a great time. Enjoy your day.

Claudie - Good morning. We will be able to mow our lawn, too. We may make it a full day without rain. Enjoy the rest of your day.

Hi JM, I hope you had a lovely weekend. It's been very hectic here. My husband and son returned from Boston last night. We picked them up at the airport on our way to the Penguins game in the city. The Pens lost. Uncle Mike, who ran in the marathon, finished the race in the pouring rain. I think it was a memorable weekend for them.

Good morning, JM,

Well! It looks like we're getting our yard taken care of this morning! The yard guy is trying to play catch-up from last week; he called last night and wanted to know if it would be alright to come today, and I said, sure; I'll be leaving about 9:10, though, to take Mom to WM, but hubby would be home. He DID offer to come next Monday instead, but I told him that the grass was getting pretty tall now, and by Monday it would be REALLY tall! So this morning it is! :)

Have a great day!

Good morning, JM,

From the looks of things out my window, we may be done with the rain for a few days (weather.com says no chance of rain until Thursday evening? Yipppeee!). Enough so that we might be able to do some drying out...finally! According to last night's weather report, we had had 8 straight day of off-and-on rain, and that included some gully-washers yesterday afternoon (we got 2½ inches at my house). :( Total at my house for those 8 days was about 6 inches. Whoo!

It's a morning for appointments for hubby and me today....he has a 'regular' doctor visit mid-morning and I have a 6-month dentist checkup. The times pretty much coincide, so obviously I'm not going with him. I might leave a little early and try to stop at a coupla places before I go, though. This afternoon? Porch-time maybe? :)

Have a great day!

munchkins mom - Good morning. I am happy to hear that your sport weekend went well with wins for your Pittsbugh teams winning. Have a super start to your week.

HouHrl - Good morning.

Claudie - Good morning. We have a softball game scheduled for Tuesday and I am not sure that we will get a chance to play. It would be nice to get through a few days in a row without rain.

Dino - I am happy to hear that you had a good weekend and yes, I had a full one. The step program sounds interesting, keep me inform on how well you do. Have a super start to your week.

Good evening JM

Had a great weekend here. Looking at your pictures over at FB looks like you made the most of the weekend as well.

Back to work Sunday night for me. Hope everyone has had a great weekend. I took advantage of the beautiful Saturday weather locally by meeting up with Emily for some one on one b'ball. We didn't keep score this time, but I'll warn you folks, she's gotten pretty good. Temps hit 80 for the first time this season on Saturday.

I enrolled in a program here at work that looks to be a lot of fun. I popped into the HR office just to say hi and got talked into signing up for the steps program that will go on for the next two months. Everyone who enrolls and turns in their steps every week are eligible for prizes they'll give away at the end of the contest. Before they determined the winners based on the number of steps you took. I think a few of the participants were walking to Wheeling and back or so their pedometer stated. I have completed 14,000 steps or about 6 miles in the two days I've kept track so far. I was going to take a walk earlier today, but the rain came in and beat me to it.

Rain will settle in tonight, temps will stay in the 50s.

Claudie - Good morning. Alex did not get her games in, it rained mostly all day on Thursday and Friday. All games today have been canceled due to field condition. More rain is in the forecast for tomorrow and I am not sure if we will play this Tuesday. Enjoy your day.

Good morning, JM,

It's still raining/drizzling (this is unreal!), and supposed to be that way for the next coupla days. While we certainly DO need the rain, I think we need to see the sun even more right now (here at my house, we've gotten about 3½ inches totally just this week)!

Thank goodness the pollen count is waaaaaaaay down at 26 (it was something like 52 yesterday)!

Jake and Emma were supposed to have had soccer games this morning at 10, but they were cancelled b/c of the weather; I would imagine the fields are really, really wet. So that means I have no reason to go out today. :)

Have a great day!

Good morning, JM,

Were Alex's games able to be played? I would imagine the fields were in bad shape, what with all the rain you've had.

It continues to rain here, but not straight through; there are long periods of no rain and then it rains for a coupla hours. That was the way it was yesterday (during the daytime hours)...cloudy and dreary all day, and then it started to rain about 9. I checked the rain gauge just now and there's another ½ in it! Just here alone (at my house) we've gotten a little over 3" total for the whole week. This weather pattern is supposed to continue through the weekend, too. Sheesh!

Obviously we still haven't been able to get the yard mowed (from Monday), and I am not sure WHEN it WILL get done! It looks sooooo green and is growing soooo good!

I'll be staying home today. :)

Have a great day!

Good evening JM

We usually get our's put together in February not too long after we get our W-2's. That's partly because we are looking to get a decent refund. May be the opposite if we had to pay out.

Wish me luck tonight. I will be trying to cross another bucket list entry off by taking the Jeopardy! online test. It will start up at 11:00 PM my time.

Big anniversary today as well as today marks the 3rd anniversary of my current job. And still to this day, I do not have any regrets of walking away from the previous job three years ago. I've met some great people in this area and the company still continues to grow and add business. All the reason why we still get a paycheck every two weeks.

Another edition of Dino's Jukebox plays tonight. A song from the year 1972. That year sounds familiar for some reason. This Gentleman refers to the drought stricken state of California. Here are the annual averages for precipitation in some of the Golden State's cities.

In inches
Los Angeles: 12.8
Sacramento: 18.5
San Diego: 10.3
San Jose: 15.8

Most of the state is listed as "Exceptional" as far as drought conditions go. This guy offers his reasoning why it's so dry there. Call it the "Anti-Rain" song.

Claudie - Good morning. I do understand about doing the videos, takes too much time. Today, the granddaughter has two games, if the weather cooperates. Happy that today is my Friday, I do have a busy weekend.

trevor - Good morning and hi de ho.

Dino - I too completed my taxes early this year, I have in the past, mailed my out on April 15, it depends on which direction the money is going. Congratulation to Kia, top 15%. Have a great day.

Good morning, JM,

It's going to be a busy morning for me today....going to the chiro first, then to Mom's and finally to the grocery store. According to weather.com, I shouldn't get rained on, but then you never know! We sure are needing this rain, but I will be glad when this system moves out...Monday maybe, 'they' say? Whew!

Have a great day!

Good evening JM

We have a small walkway I try to maintain in the winter. I'd still rather mow than shovel.

Good Tax Day evening everybuddy. Fortunately, I don't have to worry about that. Mine have already been filed and spent.

A big to do going on tomorrow night. Tyler Consolidated is recognizing their highest achieving students a.k.a. those that are in the top 15% of their class. Kia is one of those students. Should be interesting to go to. Her and her Brother have been fighting over whether or not he's wearing a tie to this event. Ah, Sibling rivalries.

I've been doing some dusting and got Dino's Jukebox plugged in and ready to operate again. We'll do one tonight and another tomorrow.

We've all heard the expression "April showers bring May flowers." That is the theme for this month's Dino's Jukebox tunes. We start in the 1960s with a great girl group. This song peaked at #23 in 1964.

Good morning, JM,

Every few days, I MIGHT go and 'do' the videos (thank goodness they're short), but that's about it.

Jake and Emma were able to get their soccer games in yesterday evening, too. Daughter said they were pretty muddy, though, when the games were over. :)

Well, I'll be back out and about today after an unexpected stay-at-home day during the week, but not too much to do, though. Hubby and I will be going to the Senior Center for breakfast, and then that's when things change. Not going to the grocery store today (aaawww, no senior discount!); I'm going to the nail salon instead for some 'happy feet;' after that, since I am pretty much across the street from Mom's place, I'll go over to see her, taking the stuff I got at the store (for her) on Monday and also get her laundry. Then I'll probably just go on home. There's a VERY faint chance, though, that I might change my mind and go to the store after all, but I'll probably just wait until tomorrow. Don't want to do TOO much at one time!

Have a great day!

Hi JM, we have two marathons coming up with runners in both. Uncle Mike plans to tackle both the Boston and Pittsburgh Marathons. Connor is running a 5k in Pittsburgh. My husband and Connor will be at both marathons. I'll be at Pittsburgh's.

Claudie - Good morning. Are you collecting all the extra points by watching videos and competing in the draws for gas? This is taking more time, but I am doing it. We were able to get our softball game in on yesterday; however, it rained all night and it is raining now. Keep dry.
