Claudie - Good morning. No, the tickets are not reserved; I saw them online and I was going to stop by the stadium and purchase them. I will go online today and may reserve them.

MusicTeacher - Good morning. We had some good news in our area, the VW plant that opened in our area just a few years ago, announced that they will build their new SUV here. This is to add additional 2,000 job to the area. Our area continue to get good news. I hope that you are doing well. Enjoy the day. {{{hugs}}}

Good evening JM

Buying an international plan to keep your consecutive days going. Now THAT'S what I call devotion. I'm sitting on 148 right now.

Seemed appropriate this evening on the way to work, bouncing from radio station to radio station when I found one playing "Manic Monday" from the Bangles. I hope it's not a sign.

Enjoying some blueberries and getting ready to start another night. One of my favorite parts of summer. The many various berries available.

Another death in the Wood County school system happened over the weekend. This time it was Tom Eschbacher (pronounced "Esh Bocker") the principal at Parkersburg South high school. He would die of brain cancer at age 51.

Heading to Parkersburg on Wednesday. Emily has a double header at the Elite Center. These will be her last two games in the summer league there. Time to get the night jump started. Take care.

Good morning, JM,

It pretty much rained most of the day yesterday (just like Saturday). We ended up getting about another inch, and that makes the total about 2½ inches for Saturday and Sunday. Wow! Everything's so wet! Good thing this wasn't the scheduled Monday for the yard guy to come; we'd definitely have to reschedule!

So are those Falcons/Saints tickets you plan to get already reserved in your name and you just have to pick them up? Hope so b/c tickets to that game are going to be really hard to get as time gets closer to the game. Well, you'll still be able to get them, but they'll be waaaaay more expensive! BTW, I had somebuddy who bought some of my tickets last year...ask me if I was selling the tickets; I said noooooo waaaaay!

Did you know that yesterday was the 45th anniversary of man first walking on the moon? I sure remember watching the TV with my family when Neil Armstrong got out and and took those first steps!

Well, I'm going back out and about today! Looks like any rain is supposed to be for this afternoon, so I should stay dry. I've got an appointment at the nail salon and then a coupla places to stop on the way home. It should be an good morning out. :)

Have a great day!

The reunion will go from Friday through Sunday, we are looking forward to this event. I hope that your Sunday went well and that you have a great start to your week. {{{hugs}}}

Dino - Good morning. To reach this plateau of 1500 days, I had to get the international phone plan in order to post while on my cruise. This was the only reason why I purchased the international plan. I hope that you enjoyed your weekend off. We are having our share of rain, too. Well, enjoy the day.

Good evening JM

1500 days. Wow. That's quite an accomplishment. My next goal here is 200. I'm 53 days away.

Back after a weekend off of doing not much. Rain cancelled my plans to mow on Saturday. Got it done Sunday afternoon and the yard looks much better now. As you may know by now, we lost another great actor in James Garner. He was known for several movies and TV shows. However, I grew up in the '70s and I remember him as Jim Rockford. Never watched the show, but my parents did and the theme was what stood out to me. He will be missed

TV Theme from "The Rockford Files"

The heat returns to the area this week. After daytime temps in the 70s last week, we should be pushing 90 most of this week. Time to jump start the week. If it sounds weak, don't worry. It's just the lawn mower.

Well, we did pretty good in the rain department yesterday; it rained off-and-on all day, and we ended up getting 1½ inches in the rain gauge. Nice! :) More is predicted for today, too.

Hubby picked a whole bunch of cherry tomatoes yesterday, and he might eat them today. As for the bigger ones, I don't think any more are ready yet. He will just have to wait another day or 2 to have his tomato sandwiches. :)

It started raining some time over night, and rained pretty hard (it seemed) at times. When I checked the rain gauge just a while ago, there was about 3-tenths-of-an-inch in it. Agreed. Mostly a beer fest. One of the radio stations in Parkersburg does a rock version in December at one of the local bars and calls it "Party Like A Rockstar." I call it Drunkfest (insert the year). Not my cup of tea, either.

Dino's Jukebox time and tonight's artist was a suggestion from Midnight Sun awhile back. A lady that has been in the music business longer than I've been around. She has been an actor, like most successful musicians, and was a Wife to both Greg Allman and the late Sonny Bono. This tune is one of Mrs. K's favorites as well with Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora playing a part on this tune.

Good evening JM

I listened to a bit of it on the radio on my way to work. It was tied 3-3 when I shut it off.

The weather prognosticators seem to love their fancy words. They're calling the current cool weather the polar vortex of summer. When I think of polar vortex I think of -15 not 75. Granted, we are supposed to be in the upper 80s at this time, I for one am not complaining. Currently we are sitting at 60 outside.

Jamboree In The Hills is getting ready to kick off here locally. Some have called it the "Super Bowl of Country Music." That's said because of some of the big names in Country that perform at the event. I am not interested in this. Not because of the Country music, but for the excessive amounts of Anheuser Busch products circulating there. Basically, it's one big drunken party with some Country music thrown in. Just not my kind of adventure. I bring it up because it is such a big deal here. It will pass after Sunday afternoon, and we'll all go back to "normal" here.

Dino's Jukebox plays tomorrow night. Got a really good "C" artist to "share" with you. See you then.

Dino - My sympathy goes out to your mother's neighbor and I pray for the compfort of her family and friends, it is nice to know that your mother was mentioned in her obit, good friends are few and far between. I am happy to hear that you were just giving a warning and that you were able to get your light replaced. Have a wonderful start to the week.

Good evening JM

Our nearest malls are in Parkersburg (50 miles) and St. Clairsville, OH (about the same distance). So we have a philosophy, if we can't get it in Middlebourne or New Martinsville, we probably can do without it.

An eventful few days for me. First of all, my thoughts and prayers go out to a good friend of mine we said goodbye to on Thursday night. She was my Mom and Dad's next door neighbor and a second Mom to me. She was 5 days shy of celebrating her 70th birthday. I just read her obituary and found that she mentions my Mom as a special friend. I really hate to see her go, but it warms my heart knowing that my Mom has left a great impression on her. She will be missed by all.

If that weren't enough, after I'd gotten off the phone with her, I was pulled over by a WV state trooper for a missing headlight. I had just discovered it was out as I was leaving for work that evening. The Trooper gave me a warning and sent me on my way. Thanks to some Youtube video, I was able to replace it at the cost of $15. And it shines brightly along with the other tonight.

Off and on rain here. Temps holding around 70. Time to get the week started.

Claudie - Good morning. We had a relaxing evening on yesterday at Stone Mountain and yes, we made it back to Chattanooga this morning. The laser show was nice, everyone enjoyed it. We bought an annual pass so we will go back.

Good morning, JM,

I saw your pix of you guys at Stone Mountain yesterday. Looks like everybuddy sure had a relaxing time. :) How was the laser show? Did you end up going home last night?

NC has a Stone Mountain, too? Didn't know that. I just might have to look it up and find out about it.

It's supposed to be another hot day here for us...temps in the low 90s and high humidity. Think I'll just take it easy for another day. :)

Have a great day!

Good morning, JM,

I have no plans to go anywhere today; just hanging out. Daughter might stop over for a short visit later, but we shall see.

Hi JM, the weather is perfect for us. It's warm enough for the munchkins to play and swim and it's not too hot or humid either.

Good morning, JM,

Well! I ended up going somewhere yesterday evening after all!

The kids are participating in the summer reading program at the local library, and there are also things going on every day (at the library, besides reading). Last evening (from 6-7 PM), it was Moms and Muffins! Daughter asked if I wanted to go and I said sure. Each table in the room had a little 'game' on it for the kids to entertain themselves with for a short time, and then the muffins were brought out (pix of Jake and Emma with their muffins at FB). They were HUGE...and so yummy! Of course, I had a blueberry one.

We stayed about 35 minutes and then headed back to my house to drop me off. It was fun spending some more time with Jake and Emma. :)

Hmmmm, the laser show at Stone Mountain huh? Yeah, you could go down later in the afternoon tomorrow, go to the show, stay overnight, and then go to church on Sunday. :)

Have a great day!

Dino - Good morning. I hope that the start of your weekend goes well. I travel a long distance to work each day, but, I live close to shopping for groceries and eating out. I travel 55 miles to work one way to work each morning; however, I live within 5 miles to the mall and eateries.

Good evening JM

The long drives kind of go with the territory. The closest WM for me is about 15 miles in New Martinsville, WV. Middlebourne has two gas stations, a grocery store, three restaurants, a grocery store, and a Dollar General. Seems like those Dollar stores are everywhere, but they are handy to have.

Tonight's edition of Dino's Jukebox covers two legends for different reasons. One was a TV legend both in front of and behind the camera. Some of his credits you'll recognize include the New Year's Rockin' Eve (which started the year I was born), TV's Bloopers and Practical Jokes, and the $10,000 Pyramid. Of course, I'm referring to Dick Clark.

The tie in was one of his biggest shows, American Bandstand. The theme was performed from 1977 until the show's end in 1989 by a man known for writing commercial jingles. Some of his work included Pepsi, Dr Pepper, and McDonald's classic catchphrase, "You deserve a break today." He's had a successful music career that spans over 40 years. Tonight he's featured performing the vocal adaptation of the famous theme from American Bandstand. Here's Barry Manilow with the theme from one of the TV shows I grew up on.

Good Morning, JMBoykinII ♪ Have a blessed Thursday at work! {{{{Hugs}}}} for you and yours.

Thank you so much for your kind wishes for today's Church Camp through my Birthday on July 13th, and for agreeing to follow my FB and GB Studio updates. Church Camp starts tonight, as you will see on the details posted below ↓. Unfortunately sometimes the Camp's wi-fi signals are not strong and fast enough to upload pictures to FB, so please do √ in at my Studio to read my updates and read my replies to you, in case that happens again during our time away at Church Camp.

Thank you so much for your faithful support and prayers through the years as I have been dealing with the recession, my declining work and income situation, and my current pursuit to find a much better career with steady income. I really do appreciate you taking the time to show that you care. God bless you and yours. Yes, we will rejoice together when that new job with steady income comes.

This morning I will decorate the carrot cake that I baked last night. We will also be bidding my Aunt Ruby, Uncle Angel, and Arnel our farewells as Aunt Ruby and Uncle Angel return to their home in Las Vegas, NV, and Arnel stays with his friends around here locally.

My Parents, Aunt Letty, and I will pack up our stuff in our Honda CR-V, pick up Malene for the carpool, and leave for our annual Church Camp up in the mountains at Lake Hughes, CA for our long July 10-13th weekend together!

Have a Wonderful Thursday!

Good morning, JM,

It was a good day at the grocery store yesterday. Well, partly. I didn't buy that much after all, and only got $1.70 for the senior discount (better than nothing, though). The best thing, though, is that blueberries were on sale for $1.99/pint (well, Daughter said that was good). So I bought us one and Daughter one, too (Emma LOVES blueberries!). Since I had bought the blueberries for her, Daughter came and got them (on her way home from somewhere); she ended up staying about an hour, so that was good, too, since we hadn't seen Jake and Emma for many days.

We finally got a good amount of rain last night, too...almost ½-an-inch. The grass has turned back to bright green for the moment (it was a kinda dull green/brown color). :)

This is going to be a stay-at-home day for me; well, at least it will be unless we go out somewhere for lunch. :)

Have a great day!
