Greetings Doc, Baylee, Mindy, PayPump, Mick, WRINC, Joelimo, Geezer, Wack, MadDogUSMC, Loree71, Full of Fun, Chasms, blkvette00, Psycho Sid, & Others:

Happy Saturday! 38 degrees this morning - what a difference a day makes!

I had to buy a new lawnmower yesterday because our 10 year old one finally decided to no longer run. I think we got our money's worth out of it. We bought a 21" 3-1 Honda self-propelled using my 10% military retired discount. After some research, this mower was rated number one. I'll finish the minor required assembly and mow later this afternoon.

Last night I watched some of NCAA basketball tournament before growing tired and retiring to bed.

I have two softball games (1:00p & 3:00p) today with Georgia State hosting South Alabama, who is rated #24 in the collegiate ranks.

Off to start the day.

Have a great day all!

Good morning. Not only did I sleep really well, but I awakened to a really good number on my scale: 267

Let us pray that it stays that way....or goes lower soon...but I doubt it. Seems an anomaly to me.

Today, as I told you, Mr. Joseph Boehl is going to finish off the half-acre of beggar lice plants on the back hill, while Mr. Daniel --- the CPR guy --- is going to get started on installing my '93 Toyotal Camry Walk-in Tub (So-called because I traded a Craigslister my '93 Camry for the walk-in tub a couple of years ago.)

I'm certainly ready for that to be done, since The LuLu has reached the point where she really can't bathe any other way besides "sponge baths," now. I just know that her being able to step into that thing, sit down, fill it up with water, soak and bathe for a while, then drain it and walk out will be a true blessing. I'll probably do some of that myself.

Talk with you wonderful folks later. Sure do love you.

Good morning everyone,

Another morning in the low 20s, and there are still chunks of snow in everyone's yards. Don't they know that it's Spring?

As much as I would love a road trip down I-35, this is high stakes testing season in the public schools. No Child Left Behind, No Teacher Left Alive.

Wonderful idea, Choco...except my ranch is a bit small and probably wouldn't accommodate the dozens of volunteers....and fortunately, as we speak, I have Sir Joseph Boehl out there busily cutting grass and chopping the weeds on the hill. I was afraid for a while we'd be overcome by the Texas jungle, but this should put it in retreat for a while.

Then TOMORROW, the gentleman who did the CPR on me and restarted my heart a while back will be here to install the walk-in tub I traded my '93 Toyota Camry for a couple of years ago. All I'd ever managed to get done was to knock out the wall between our little bathroom and the adjoining walk-in closet. Daniel will install the walk-in tub in the former closet, and I'm hoping Mama will then be a lot more comfortable when taking a bath. Getting into the small shower had become all but impossible for her.

ANYway, things are looking up when it comes to getting things done --- but I do greatly appreciate the thought.....and of course I'd love to meet any/all of you anytime. I just wish I had the facilities for hosting.

Later...gotta go check on the yard-cutting.

IDEA....Doc says there's a lot to be done around his ranch that he hasn't or won't be able to do w/o some help. Why don't we, as GB, give him the help. Sort of a working vacation. Go to Texas and contribute a few days to helping the old boy. I'm willing. Being retired I can pretty much do it for a few days. Do me good. How 'bout some of the rest of you?

All Right Doc! You are feeling better! That is great news. Sound the trumpets! Lets have a parade!

Collected more sap today so I am boiling again. Have now collected about 50 gallons this season. That will make about 5-6 quarts of syrup. Will see more collect this weekend, but will have to have my kids collect it for me as I will be up in Maine doing a little skiing. Will be home Sunday. I do not get to posting a lot on Sunday as I volunteer at the adaptive skiing up there and then have to drive home after. Kind of takes most of the day.

Greetings Doc, Baylee, Mindy, PayPump, Mick, WRINC, Joelimo, Geezer, Wack, MadDogUSMC, Loree71, Full of Fun, Chasms, blkvette00, Psycho Sid, & Others:

Happy Friday! 48 degrees this morning. 2+ mile walk complete in some brisker temperatures. I put on a fleece and sweatpants and went to it.

Teleworking today so no commute traffic for me.

Thanks Mick!

MadDog - yeah, I flipped back and forth because the UK game wasn't really a game. Trash talk often motivates the recipient to play up a notch.... ;)

The Panther's softball team won 11-3 over Kennesaw State yesterday. After arriving home I was able to take in some next round NCAA tournament action last night after my call with the CDC office in Thailand (12 hour time difference). More interesting NCAA action tonight.

Off to continue the day.

Have a great day all!

Good early morning. Had a case of the God-AWFUL LegAche sometime in the middle of the night. Finally had to take some high-level dope to get back to sleep. HATE to do that, but sometimes the choice just isn't there. Now I'm up early and wondering why.

Oh, well.....

Geezer, my distance is 'WAY down nowadays. Fact is, as one of my favorite comedians used to say, I now take Viagra just to keep from peeing on my shoes.

LOL LOL LOL, etc.

Later, y'all. Gotta find some sort of sustenance. Might just blow the diet and go get myself a MacDooDoo's biscuit.

Good morning everyone,

I think I'm back to normal sleep-wise. Just need to catch up a bit every now and then.

I took some pics of the dock frame yesterday, talking to the place that stores my boat about new panels for it. Now if it would only warm up a bit so we can start going up there ...

Howdy, all. Had a great and long chat with Loree and Booper today. Fine folks. The BoopStud had the ablation thing, also, and says it made him feel better. I believe now I can feel the "better" coming on. I do know I can walk across the street to the mailbox and not have to hold onto the box itself for a while before coming back. I did hate that "just flat can't go anymore" feeling. I'd told my spoose if it was going to be that way from now on, I'd be praying for the "easy way out," because I don't see the sense in sitting around just waiting to die. As of today, I really do believe things are going in a better direction, and I am truly thankful to a Merciful Maker for that. I'm hoping to be given clearance to start driving again now so that I can get back to the gym and Kimbu can get back to a job. Things get rough financially with no help, and there are just too many things that need to be done around this place.

Oh, well...'bout time for my "early-to-bed" routine. Hasta manana en la manana.

Six for JoeLimo....So?

I only post on GB because it's something to do rather than sit around the house and stare at the walls. After the wife was killed in the accident life doesn't really mean much anymore and GB takes some time. I also like to follow the antics of some of the characters on this forum. If somebody wants to follow me around and post the same stations, who cares?

I think I'll have to get at least one new knee. This morning it was a real struggle to get to the bathroom. That'll kill some time. Went to the doc this morning but cancelled as soon as I got there because the only thing I heard was a bunch of old women coughing away, almost in unison. I don't neeed to catch something that will only make me cough my guts up. Kill me, I'm OK with that, but something that only makes me feel like ---- isn't for me.

Hello Doc!
I hope is does get better. And better. And I'm jealous of somebody who can go to bed at 9:50PM. 8:50 your time. I'm knot jealous of somebody who wakes up at 3AM. Unless it's to see how far you can pee. But why waste it when you can taste it?

Good afternoon Doc,

Hoping you feel MUCH better today. Hoping you no longer feel like you swallowed a watermelon whole. :>) As far as the point thing goes, the only thing they are good for is for gas cards and you and I and the other high point users have almost zero chance at one. Seems only the newbies get them lately. Yup, certain people have held their position for a long time and are sad to drop to a lower one. I am sure there has to be a way to obtain a cheap used old smart phone that will run the app on a local Wi-Fi connection that will work for those who really want to get all the points they can.

As far as a pissing contest goes,, how far can you pee and STILL spell your name right?

MadDog - thanks!

I will call the GSU versus KSU softball game this afternoon. With the win over Georgia Tech, their record is now 22-7.

I'm with you MadDog, I haven't posted prices since the days when I was Bonehomid, and that has been quite a few years, maybe a decade. I was posting in Detroit when there was only (6) people in the Detroit forum...

*yawn*..*gasp*....New 2019 C/K Silverado and Sierra GM pick-em up trucks are coming your way.

Later folks

Doc...glad you are feeling better buddy! Glad you are still here. You are right that this site is going down the toilet. The new stuff with the GB apps is not good. People are cut throating each other for the local app leadership board. People are posting wrong prices and some are even driving the interstates and posting behind others so they can get points. It's turned into a complete joke!

Grmoore....glad you had a great birthday buddy!

Howdy. Yep, after my 12-hour ordeal at Methodist Hospital yesterday, I do think I feel better. "They" say it'll be better and better for a while.

I do appreciate your concern and hope you're all okay.

Meanwhile, as far as Gas Buddy goes, I'm never again going to think much about points, recording gas prices, or anything else. Fact is, JuniorFan and I were talking about that today: Back in the times of "Going for distance: How far can you pee?" and stuff like that, this place was fun. Now? Overall, the site is pretty crappy. I spend more time now on Facebook, and sometimes I don't put up point one. None of it means anything anymore except the friendships --- and I won't go because of those....of you.

But right now I IS gotta go to bed. Good night.

I finally broke down and created a Twitter account. Only did it so that I could play in the Late Night With Seth Meyers Tournament of Things.

And I am getting ticked off with GasBuddy--I have not missed posting in almost 50 days, and have gotten the maximum of 1225 points each day, but I have fallen from #359 overall to #364 in less than a week. If that is because some people are getting extra points for using some stupid cell phone app, I am probably going to quit posting here.

Happy Tuesday! 46 degrees this morning.

Will be driving separately today because I have the GSU vs GT softball game this evening. Depending on how soon the game finishes, I may have orchestra rehearsal.

We had a wonderful dinner with my wife, daughter, and her boyfriend to celebrate my birthday. We dined at La Tavola in midtown, one of our daughter's company's restaurants.

Off to start the day.

Have a great day all!
