That was back in 1967 driving towards Montreal for Expo 67.

In construction zones where you had to "merge" on 401 to the left or right, the signs said squeeze left or squeeze right!

It's a Canadian thingy...

What can I say, I have a lot of relatives in Ontario.

Psyd, I certainly didn't think there was any such thing as "SQUEEZE RIGHT" (or LEFT), but I see I was wrong.

Good night, all.

Well Doc, it's a Canadian thingy, center, centre, etc.

I'm just messin' with Baylee..

Merge left merge right, squeeze left squeeze right... Road construction signs on the 401 from Windsor to Toronto and beyond......All the way to Mindy's house in Quebec.

Good mornafterevening. Just been watching TV and checking out some stuff on the computer most of the day. Sure wish I had the gumption to straighten this disaster of an office up a little. Trouble is, others keep adding to my junk in here. A while back, The LuLu's "toe lady" dumped a couple of castoff computers here. I sold one on eBay, but the other is here in one of the piles. Then Son Layno dumped four big containers of baseball, football and whater cards here and asked me to sell 'em on eBay. I know NOTHING about sports cards junk, so it may never happen. I'm just not anxious to learn.

Anybody here know anything about baseball cards and such stuff?

Psyd, are you still working on the difference between "power" and "hydro"? I'll see if I can find a third-grader to explain it to you.

LOL LOL LOL, etc.

Good morning! Yes, heat is arriving here too. And it's a challenge at home since we don't have AC.

Junior, have you decided what to do if your daughter has to use the generator? Will she get a few guests to share the hydro?

Doc, you have made a lot of progress re weight, so another few pounds should be possible too.

Morning everyone!

Not only hot WR-INC, it's humid! Dew point has dropped from 76 degrees yesterday evening, to 69 degrees now. Yuck!

A friend from the VA and I switched days so today I'll be manning the sign-in desk in blood draw. This area will definitely keep me busy!

Have a cool, dry and great day day all! Later

Good morning everyone,

It's been hot here. Wanted something cool for dinner last night, so my wife made a chicken rainbow salad. Chunks of chicken, grapes, walnuts, apples, and cantaloupe mixed in mayonnaise. Worked for me.

Hey, Jeepers....glad you could stop by. Yep, it's been almost that long for me. STILL can't do much about the lard, though. Still, the 280 I'm at now is better than the 326 or so I hit right after I quit smoking. Sure would like to drop another fifty, anyway, but it's tough for a lot of reasons.

Mick, been to Valley View and was not impressed. Others in the area have much more and are easier to get to. Almost ran over a coyote on my way to VV. We REALLY went the back roads having missed the real easy way to get to the place.

Good afternoon, dp 'n all.

'smy Friday. Headin' south to stay o'night at my daughter's. On the morrow I'll take to the back roads to Valley View Casino, inland from San Diego, for my once a year gambling outing. Ya never know when good fortune might strike.
Keepin' everthing I can cross in that configgeration.

If I hit it big, y'all might find me at yer door someday. Listen for the roar of the Harley.

Good afternoon! Hot here, and going to go higher. But overall it has been nicer than usual for me anyway. Since for me cooler = better. Last night we were in downtown TO, and driving back home I watched the outside temp drop by 8ºF between the city and the country. Good in summer, but of course the same thing happens in the winter as well.

Junior, we had the power off for several days last winter (a massive ice storm). One of our neighbours moved in with her daughter and family since she had no way to keep her own house warm. The other house had a fireplace, at least, and a gas stove. What will all of you do if the power goes off in both houses at once?

Good morning. Made it to bed fairly early, then got up in time to check the oil in Kimbu's Sebring Convertible before she left for work. She's a little behind schedule on maintenance because of her unemployed time, so I was worried that the oil might be low. Nope, not low...but getting dirty, for sure. She'll have it serviced next weekend, after getting a paycheck.

Now I need a nap.

Morning all!

joelimo, I'm going to partner with the s-i-l. We've determined that a 17500 watt generator should do well at both my locations, and his place. It's portable, has an electric start and I love it being mounted on wheels. Easier to maneuver...

Today the const folks who're replacing the gas lines around this area will come in and move the gas meter from the bsmt to outside, finally! Not sure when the curbs will be put in. Thankfully the assessment won't be over 5 digits!!

Also need to change the oil and rotate the tires on the p/u. Going to hunker down after that and stay inside, dry and cool!

Best get moving, the girls want OUT! Later

Geezer, I shall never tell!

What sort of DOM do you think I am?

LOL LOL LOL, etc.

Sir Joe, the portobellos were delicioso --- but the one I laid the piece of provolone on top of was the prettiest. Fact is, we had half an old dead cow left, because I ate nothing but the jalapenos and the shrooms. Mucho GOOD!

...and now good night all.

Ohboy, ohboy....got the stuff jalapenos ready for the grill and Kimbu's at the grocery as we speak getting --- among other things --- some sort of Old Dead Cow AND a few Portobello Muskrooms.

Gonna try 'em TONIGHT, Joseph!

Since I have a blob of leftover Philly Brand Cream Cheese (Ohhhh, I like that fattening stuff!), I'll probably smear some of that on one or two of 'em, also. ALL muskrooms go together well with cream cheese...can't lose with that!

With any luck, I'll be able to just fill up on jalapenos and Portobellos and avoid the Old Dead Cow altogether.

Got to the point now, except for bacon, I could just stay away from meat altogether. Well, then again, I MUST have the occasional Turkey Muskroom burger.

Woooo....da's good!

Izzit any wonder I can't lose weight? Nothin' I got still works except my brainbulb, and now all it has to concentrate on is FOOOOOOOOOD!

Gittin' old sucks like a Black Hole.

(Okay...ask the question, Geezer!)

LOL LOL LOL, etc.

Good morning this afternoon. Made the mistake of letting the Windows Update thing start just before I went to bed last night, only to find it "hung" again when I got up this morning. Never again! I'm going to turn Windows Update OFF forever! Hell with that!

Now I need to get over to Walgreens to pick up some pictures I ordered, then get by the UPS dropoff to send a package back to Amazon, then down to Life Time Fitness to see if they have the THIRD new manager yet. The first two I dealt with had no clue what's going on there, so I'm hoping they got another by now. Seems to me what they need to do is pretty simple, but maybe they're TOO simple to understand.

ANYwho, I'll check back in later.

Good to hear, joelimo!
About 3 weeks ago or so I went 26 hrs without electric when a neighbors tree took out the feed to the entire block! Heard the wind pick up, a loud boom and instant quiet!
26 hrs later I still had frozen ice cream! Soft, but frozen!
I should get an emergency home generator...

Happy Sunday! 68 degrees and rain forecasted. We received rain off and on yesterday so the grass and plants are happy!

WR - sounds like my kind of day!

We enjoyed a relaxing day yesterday with only a few jaunts outside the house for a walk, dinner at Mellow Mushroom, a quick trip to pickup a few things at the grocery, followed by a Blizzard at Dairy Queen.

I'm in early this morning as I will travel to north Atlanta to again sub in the FBA orchestra.

Off to start the day.

Have a great day all!
