Doc, I want a drive through sandwich shop -- combination pizzeria..here at the farm.

Egg....Bone McMuffins..what a concept, with pork sausage, chorizo or Canadian bacon from Dearborn meats in Detroit Michigan..A slice of cheese of your liking and a real Bay's English muffin toasted to perfection!

Food talk makes me hungry..

Good morning, everyone. Slept pretty well for an old boy with a bunch of busted "stuff" that still tells the news when rolling over. Be glad when that stops.

Still....it's good to be alive, especially when there are people and puppies to love and be loved by. Got one curled up next to me right now. Beautiful angel!

God bless us every one.....later.....gotta have more coffee.....sure wish I could have some with Sir Joseph and his crew in Tennessee.

Later, all....

Greetings Doc, Baylee, Mindy, PayPump, Mick, WRINC, Joelimo, Geezer, Wack, MadDogUSMC, Loree71, Full of Fun, Chasms, blkvette00, Psycho Sid, & Others:

Happy Monday! 45 degrees this morning and rain forecasted for most of the week.

They got the race completed at Atlanta Motor Speedway; it started late as they waited for the rain to clear and track to dry. I watched it for a while in between napping, lol.

re: GSU Basketball - I actually misspoke yesterday, the Panthers actually have two remaining games; they play one before Saturday's game - at UL-Monroe - on Thursday.

re: Sun Belt Tournament - not yet sure what I'm doing this year; I will travel down to NOLA so we'll see.

Off to start the day.

Have a great day all!

Good morning everyone,

We're being told to expect between 3 and 5 inches starting tonight lasting until tomorrow afternoon. Good thing I'm local until Wednesday, when we head to Omaha for a trade show.

I won't try that, BayleeBug. Fact is, I guess I'll let up on the OJ since I'm having LOTS of troubles now with indigestion, and, since I'm taking three blood thinners already, I cannot afford to use my old standby, Alka-Seltzer. And none of the other stuff seems to help much. I hate Tums!

Oh, well....time to hit the sack. Perchance to sleep.

Good night, all.

Good evening!

Doc, obviously you never planned this as a way to lose weight, but may as well get some benefit out of it. Just don't ever try to combine the OJ and the buttermilk!

Ohboy...think I'll order me a humidifier. Sure tired of this coughing. Gotta try something new. I did break out my little albuterol inhalation gizmo and it helped for a while, so I'll start using that on a regular basis. Tough trying to make a comeback from a freaking heart attack with all this crap going on.

Oh, well....

One nice thing is I'm losing weight like crazy. Not too difficult when you can only eat three French fries and a couple bites of a hamburger pattie for supper. Only really enjoyable things now are buttermilk and orange juice, so I always have plenty of that on hand. NOTHING else tastes good, though.

Oh, well...

Diva,,,We're on Douglas Lake slightly North of Pidegon Forge, across from some
7,000 to 9,000 foot Gorgeous Mountains that Loom over the lake,,,

after a lil more research here I found the Central TZ stops just before Knoxville in the 615 area code right next to our 865 area code,I'll wait and see if it changes when they actually change the state and town for me,,,I hope?

Joe, if K'ville is to your west, you must be deep in the Smokies. When we lived in Memphis, our favorite vacation spot was the Gatllinburg/Pigeon Forge area. That was before Pigeon Forge was completely commercial.

By last night, the ice on the roads had finally melted enough to be able to drive safely. Mr. Diva drove back from Arkansas on Friday. What would normally be a 5 hour drive took him almost 9 hours. Tomorrow, he will be back on the plane. He is project manager for a major consulting company. His current client is in NW Arkansas. He has been on this project for over a year and expects this assignment to continue through November.

Greetings Doc, Baylee, Mindy, PayPump, Mick, WRINC, Joelimo, Geezer, Wack, MadDogUSMC, Loree71, Full of Fun, Chasms, blkvette00, Psycho Sid, & Others:

Happy Sunday! 37 degrees and raining this morning.

The party was a wonderful success; our daughter did a wonderful job putting together everything. It was a Studio 887; which her company's facility. We had a great time!

The GSU Men's basketball team won last night so they're in second place in the (Sun Belt) conference with one game remaining versus Georgia Southern next Saturday at home. The women lost so they are likely on the bubble to make the Sun Belt tournament. The Women's tournament starts on March 11, and the men start on the 12th.

Off to start the day early as I have an early morning rehearsal because Wednesday evening everything was cancelled.

Have a great day all!

Usually at this time of the year we're getting ready to hammer German brown's right offshore...on the mouth of the Platte River...Trout fishing at its finest in 7-8 feet of water.

Good night, all. Thinking about all of you and how much you've meant to me over these past several years. Thank you so much for making room in your hearts for me. I know I haven't been easy to deal with at times, so it just makes some of you even more special to me that you've been willing to deal with it.

God bless us every one.

Good night.

Sounds as if his cataract surgery went well, Choco. If it went as well as mine, he'll be good for life. Mine was over ten years ago and I still don't need glasses for anything at all.

MISERABLE weather! I just talked Baby Dotter into going to Sonic to liberate one foot-long hotdog that I just KNEW would taste great --- it didn't. Nothing does, really...nothing except buttermilk. Think I'm gon' have a small pizza for supper. Maybe that'll be edible, anyway.

Yeah, melatonin...need to go to Amazon and get some...

THIS IS IT! Yeah, the final day Febrrrrrrrrruarrrrrrry. March is comin' and warmer weather will prevail in those areas that snow is over your head and there is three feet of ice on the road. We don't have to worry about that here. Walked the dog last night in a light rainfall, but today is sunny and bright. In a month you'll be grouching about the heat and humidity.

Comments about melotonin helping sleep are interesting. Might try it.

Have a good day Doc.

Hey, all. Slept some last night. Feel better. Just wish the coughing would stop for good.

This soggy, just-above-freezing weather is miserable! The worst possible for trying to recover from all the crap I've been through. Oh, well, it could be worse --- I could be in Minnie Sore Toe or somewhere even worse!

LOL LOL LOL, etc.

Right now I just may have to have a nap.Later

Happy Saturday! 37 degrees this morning.

Today we have a few odds and ends to complete and a birthday party for our daughter's boyfriend - his "golden" birthday turning 28 on February 28th. She's hosting and has gone "all out!"

The GSU basketball teams play tonight at Troy. Losses are coming at an "interesting" time; not withstanding the win/loss record, the only likely way they will make the tournament is to win the conference tournament in NOLA in a few weeks.

Off to start the day.

Have a great day all!

Doc, good to hear that you found a real human person to talk to about your CC bills. And even better to know that you are continuing to improve.

'Morning. Finally got some sleep last night. I think the deal is that now --- FINALLY --- the pain has let up enough that I can sleep on my right side, and that's long been my position, so after going to sleep on that side last night, I woke up almost six hours later. Part of it, too, may have been guzzling that cough surp with abandon every time I woke up. Now this morning, LOTS of stuff starting breaking loose, and THAT is a wondrous relief after all the days/nights of "dry cough."

ANYway, things are definitely looking up, and I'm sitting here now enjoying a large bowl of grits and a cuppa coffee, so now all I need is....more coffee!

LOL LOL LOL, etc.

Joseph, somebody else mentioned that stuff yesterday, but I'm glad to get the spelling. I'll check with my doc dood and see if it's something I can take. Trouble here is with so many different meds, they have to be really careful about drug interactions. So, for instance, while my generic Actifed works wonders for my allergies, it would probably raise my BP so high I'm be in lots of danger.

175, it is just flat MISERABLE here! Temp is/has been just above freezing, wind is blowing most of the time, cloudy as all get-out ('case you never heard that, it means really REALLY cloudy! lol) --- the kind of weather that is my absolute LEAST favorite!

Trouble is, it looks as if there's no hint of relief in sight. This being Texas, however, it could be 80 degrees by tomorrow....LORD, let it be!

Hope all of you are well and happy this morning. If it helps any, I sho' do love you!

Later.

Good morning, Doc! I hope it's warm down there, deep in the heart of Texas. Us maroon yankees are freezing our butts off up here! And now they are calling for the next winter storm to bring rain and a possibility of flooding! I can imagine what New England is in for.

Happy Friday! 31 degrees this morning.

Here's to another busy Friday and a non-teleworking one at that. Two meetings that have to be in-person.

Doc - glad to hear you're making progress little by little. Sounds like you and I are similar - impatient! lol Better to err on the safe side....

Baylee - :) lol I certainly like to be a non-contributor when I can!

Both GSU basketball teams lost last night at UALR. Crazy times and it's not yet March (madness)! The Georgia State men's team had four starters with double figures, but still lost to UALR 92-83. Wow!

Off to it.

Yessir, Sir Joe. Soon's I explained to a nice lady that I'd just spent three weeks in hospitals, she just said tear up the letter and put it in the garbage and that she would take care of it. Makes sense...in well over ten years, I've never been late.

Gonna just have to say good night, all. Got to see if I can stop coughing long enough to sleep for a little while. Had one long doc visit today, then had to wait a LONG time for a home visit from a PT guy who did my "eval." They'll send another guy out starting Monday to herd me around to help me get back into the swing of things. I think the senior guy was a little surprised to find out he wasn't dealing with a 98-pound weakling, even if I did have a stinking heart attack. I still have my strength....I just don't last long at a time.

Sure do love y'all. Good night and God bless.

Good evening!

Doc, too bad about not driving, but you know that the explanation makes sense. Too bad no one bothered to explain it to you before.

grm, when I don't travel during rush hour, I always figure I'm doing everyone else a big favour by not contributing to a bigger traffic mess.

Mick, sounds good - enjoy!

Doc Zinn says I'm just going to have to be patient about the driving. For as long as I have the afib, there is a danger or stroke, and he's right --- I would not want to take a chance on killing someone else just because of my desire to keep driving. So I'll stick to the program. But now I want the ablation done ASAP. If that works as expected, the "fibbing" stops and I'm just as safe a driver as I ever was.

Oh, well...now American Express is going to raise my APR to 27.24% because my payment was late. I'm going to see if maybe I can cause one of THOSE sons of bitches to have a heart attack.

Excuse me....later.

Ohboy, Girl! Finally got a halfway decent night's sleep, despite the almost constant coughing, then got up feeling okay and hungry, so Kimbu made me a really nice breakfast.

Couldn't eat it. Three or four bites and I was getting sick at my stomach. Probably a good thing in terms of weight, but certainly not pleasant. That's the trouble with getting old: everything you've ever really enjoyed doing is taken away, little by little.

Gotta stay away from "helpless and hopeless," though. I have a lot to be thankful for, and I need to concentrate on that. Right now, for example, I have two or three friends that need computers and I have at least a dozen computers that need homes. Just gotta get off my duff and get 'em ready for the mail.

Right now, though, I have to get ready to go see Doc Zinn, one of my cardio guys. MAYBE he can give me something to help with this confounded coughing.

I also want to find out what HE says about my doing some of my own driving. I just cannot believe I have to wait for months and months and for another heart procedure to be able to drive.

Oh, well, 11:00 isn't getting any farther away....check with you later.

Sure do love all of you. Bone, the pics are amazing. What tree is that on the left with all the leaves?
