Good morning!

Mick, what happened to your baby? How did you manage to get such a good deal for the repairs?

No boredom here -- Friday night we went to a jazz concert, last night a Russian chorus, and tonight it's Cape Breton fiddle music, the best kind of fiddle music. And in between we're doing some spring cleaning before friends come to visit next weekend.

Ohboy...Blo says she got something like 17,900 points on GaseousBuddy this morning, so I gotta get busy. See, the thing is, I ain't got no smartassed phone AND I ain't got a "tablet."

Actually, I think Moses busted my tablet back there when he dropped the ones that contained the OTHER five Commandments.

Remember that?

LOL LOL LOL, etc.

"OH, I GIVE YOU THESE FIFT.....<<<CRASH! SMASH! TINKLE!>>>....TEN....TEN!.... I GIVE YOU THESE TEN COMMANDMENTS!"

LOL LOL LOL, etc., etc.

Okay, lemme get busy. I also have to put another Toshiba Tecra up on eBay today.

Anybody wanna buy a SWEEEET laptop? They don't make 'em any better than this!

Right, I'm the only one from Detroit proper, but Pontiac, Pontiac Township(Auburn Hills), Orion, Bloomfield, etc. what's the difference...?

You could throw alah, alah, Achmed east Dearborn in there too.

Greetings Doc, Baylee, Mindy, PayPump, Mick, WRINC, Joelimo, Geezer, Wack, MadDogUSMC, Loree71, Full of Fun, Chasms, blkvette00, Psycho Sid, & Others:

Happy Saturday! 64 degrees and still raining.

Geez - lol

Although for most of the day I was able to telework, I wound up having to go in for a 2:00p in-person meeting. Traffic, of course, was awful due to the rain, but it had to be done!

My wife and I enjoyed a relaxing Friday evening at home, eating our left over pasta from the night before and catching up on some DVR'd television programs.

Nothing too much planned for today except for some chores around the (inside of) house.

Have a great day all!

Good morning all.

The oven's in. The burn went well. Warners' Stellian people seem to have their acts in order! Gotta say, they did a dang good job. Still need to have the whole area trimmed in, but the oven is now a functional oven!

Can't wait to probe something!

Seems like every day now tptb are overdosing on point giveaways! Dbl gas reporting bonus weekend points? Geesh!

Have a great weekend all! Later

Greetings Doc, Baylee, Mindy, PayPump, Mick, WRINC, Joelimo, Geezer, Wack, MadDogUSMC, Loree71, Full of Fun, Chasms, blkvette00, Psycho Sid, & Others:

Happy Friday! This day has finally arrived! I have a light day and projected to have a light weekend.

Got my taxes electronically filed on Monday and payments mailed on Tuesday. Mailed my contributions to the grand-girls' 529 plans on Wednesday.

Geez - as long as you pay your taxes, it's OK to do it... ;)

Since it was still raining off and on, and had already rained some (more) during the day, mowing was out of the question. So my wife and I went to dinner at The Italian Oven in Stockbridge for some wonderful pasta.

I'm teleworking today and getting a later start since I worked some last night.

Off to start the day.

Have a great day all!

Oh, btw, I did my taxes wed night, also. I always wait until the last day before turning over my cash to the gov! Always!! Electronically, too.

By the way, Dick, thank you for DOING taxes. There are entirely too many people in this country today who never EVER do that....and some of the ones who are no longer friends of mine are/were proud of the fact. I don't get it....how do those teatsuckers think a country can survive when we get to the point at which NOBODY pays taxes?

Think I'll do that, Dick and FOF. I'll designate Fridays as weigh-in day and start tomorrow.

Right now it is raining like a cow pissing on a flat rock!

Wow!

Oh...sorry about the language, but it's FOF's fault....made me think of one of my Pop's "old sayings." (His weren't nearly as "dignifried." LOL LOL LOL, etc.)

Wellum, now it's starting to let up. Good thing I went out and filled all the empty containers I had.

Good morning doc!

The electrician showed up yesterday, as scheduled, and finished running a 35 foot 220v wire run for my new oven. Delivery of the oven is scheduled for later today. Tomorrow the cabinet dude is scheduled to mount the drawer and oven, and then trim the whole works.

Finally, hopefully, I'll have an oven again!

Time to fry hamburger and boil chicken livers for the girls...

Have a great day everyone! Later

BayleeBug, no, I haven't revisited the gutcutter since I chickened out for the second time. I'm actually still a bit ashamed of starting that up a second time and AGAIN not going through with it --- but I'm REALLY glad I DIDN'T. Just don't want to talk to them or anybody else about it. Thassit, thassall...finished.

FOF, I think the ablation has been helpful all the way around. Today, for instance, the home health nurse told me my BP was something like 120/62 and my pulse was in the sixties. That's better than it was before the blowout, and now there are NO irregular heartbeats, too. Methinks if this keeps up, I'll be given clearance to do some of my own driving next Monday, when I go back to see both of my cardiologists. I surely hope so. I'm going stir-crazy here!

Wellum, I gotta get this SWEETHEART of a Toshiba laptop up on eBay. Finished it yesterday, but got lazy then.

Later...

WR-NC, I was really hipped on doing the yard bit today also but it turns out the the weather gods did me a favor. Winds of 35-40 mph are scourging the Nevada desert and blowing all sorts of garbage onto my lawn(rocks) so I just sit, drink beer and watch. So much dust you can barely see the hills.

Doc, no cutting is a great deal better than anything a doctor can do for you. Once they cut all sorts of odd things happen--in all different parts of your body. Just keep up the good work

Good morning Doc,

Taxes are not finished. Must do that today. Things have started to loosen up from the antibiotic. The nose is breathing better, but the biggest surprise is the amount I am coughing up from below. Did not think I had a big issue down there, but today, a LOT is coming loose. Surprise, surprise!

Another beauty of a day for us. 60's and sunny. A bit windy and VERY dry air. We have a red flag warning as a result. I expect to hear of at least a few brush fires today. I might go outside when I take breaks from taxes, but otherwise I will not. MAybe tomorrow I will see what yard cleanup I can do.

Well, You weigh less than I do. I have about 25 more LBS on my frame than you. I am also probably taller and spread it out better. 6' 5" or so. Still I could use to lose a few. Good for you to actually do it even if its the two off yesterday and one back today method!

Good morning!

Doc, that's my memory of the timing too, but yes I agree that the events showed that you had made the correct decision by saying no. Did you ever tell those docs about what happened to you?

WR, there is a whole raft of u-tube videos about people living in amazingly tiny houses, even full time. So you will be against the current trend!

'Morning.

Stayed up late, couldn't go to sleep, then stayed up some more and ate peanut butter and crackers -- then woke up fatter, rather than lighter.

Kee-RAP!

JR, I don't think it was that, just the "taster" effects of the whole "adventure." Not many things taste as good as they did before all that happened. Unfortunately, peanut butter and crackers still go pretty well.

As I remember, BayleeBug, I canceled the gut-cutting thing about a week BEFORE the heart attack, so that wasn't the reason for it --- except I really think "Somebody" told me I should not go through with it.

Seriously....I just had a premonition things would go badly if I had that procedure done. Can you even IMAGINE how bad things would have been with a heart attack on TOP of having 85% of my stomach cut out?

I can --- I KNOW I would have died!

Sure is good to "see" all of you here every day.

Thank you for showing up. I know it's not JUST for me, but I surely feel that way most of the time, anyway.

...so thank you, Friends.

Happy Wednesday! 67 degrees this morning; rained overnight.

Rehearsal went well last night.

I will drive alone today due to a function this evening. I will attend the Georgia State Coaches' tour in Peachtree City; my son is hosting.

Traffic was reasonable yesterday but rather packed during the downtown commute. On the way home, the surface streets were clogged. Interstate travel was pretty good once we got there!

Off to start the day.

Have a great day all!
