I got married at the tender age of 40 at the Lucas County Courthouse in downtown Toledo, Ohio...
Now I pay $604 and change a week for (3) kids I haven't seen in (6) years.
What a deal for women in the State of Michigan.
It's real dark outside, I think I have a squall line coming from the west.

Doc, those crows are double cool, triple bad....
If you think those crows were expensive you should see my 32 pound chinook salmon that cost 375 bucks.
I have a seeforellen brown trout @ 14.2 pounds and that costs 300 bucks... I never caught a big steelhead, I think the biggest one I ever caught was about 13-14 pounds.
The heaviest lake trout I ever caught was a little over 20 pounds. I caught that beauty over 770 feet of water in Lake Michigan and I threw it back, she was full of eggs. Lake trout only grow a pound a year...So a 20 pound lake trout is 20 years old, and full of PCB's, DDT, and everything else I've talked about in the past, pesticides. They are tasty smoked but you only want to eat real small 2 to 3 pounders, that's it...

Congrats to you Doc on your decision not to have the Lap band thing. I know someone who had it done and she claims 100 pounds fell off. She also tells that for some time she couldn't even swallow her own saliva. She had the surgery in Mexico and she was having that band adjusted all the time. Funny thing was, I never saw her really eat healthy. Never a vegetable - always a chicken strip and she couldn't figure out why she quit losing weight and packed on a few pounds.
I know why I'm fat. I just eat too much. The low carb diet works the best for me because there is always something I can eat and it naturally lowers my appetite.
Good luck on your anti-insulin quest. I really hope it works for you.

Ohboy....I will never EVER again shoot up with insulin!
Went all day yesterday with no insulin. Went to BED with no insulin and a 113 at ten last night. Woke up HUNGRY at two with a 117 and just HAD to have something, so I had a package of peanut butter cheese crackers. Now I'm up with a 133 and my LL (Lard Level) is 'WAY down! (But I won't report that until Friday, the end of my seven-day no-insulin experimen.)
Lookin' good! I may even keep the above vow if I can keep this up. LOL
Hope all is well with everyone else. I might just load up my lard and go sit in the water at the Flatness Center for a while today. Maybe there'll be a nice flooper or two on display.
...oh....forgot.....got a mailbox set up on Docputer's Storage Shed, so please go by there and help me make sure it works.
Thankee!
GR Moore, not to be critical or anything, but good ol' Henry B. Gonzales, now deceased Congressman from Texas, would be REALLY jealous of "multiple back to back." I'm gon' steal that one, myself....that's a new classic! ('Course, it's only really entertaining if one subverts your true meaning!)
LOL LOL LOL, etc.

Greetings Doc, Baylee, Mindy, PayPump, Mick, WRINC, Joelimo, Geezer, Wack, MadDogUSMC, Loree71, Full of Fun, Chasms, blkvette00, & Others:
Happy Monday! 66 degrees and wet this morning.
and.... it starts all over again with the arrival of Monday.
The Braves game was awesome yesterday after several rain delays. It was an exciting 8th inning when the Braves broke it open with multiple back to back singles. Casting Crowns performed a concert at the conclusion at which stayed and thoroughly enjoyed. We finally arrived back home last night about 9:30p (it was probably one of the longest game/concert combinations in which we have participated in a while. lol
Off to breakfast and another early morning overseas call.
Have a great day all!

Wow! Working for Givvermint Motors must pay even more than I thought!
Hey, everybody. Been thinking more and more about getting 90% of my stomach whacked out today. Not a pleasant thought. Went from that back to thinking about SERIOUS dieting, so today I'm "swearing off" insulin COMPLETELY for a week, just to see if the stuff really IS what makes it so hard for me to lose anything.
So far, so good....no insulin all day, VERY careful about eating, and here I am ready for bed with a.....wups....lemme check right quick.....113....holy SHIITE......I'm doing better WITHOUT insulin than I did WITH it!
That settles that....I'm DAMN-sure not taking the nighttime insulin with a reading like that.
Oboy...can't wait to see what it is in the morning!
'Night, all. .

I need a 500 gallon AG diesel tank on the east side of the barn so I can get some AG diesel fuel.
I burn AG diesel fuel in the John Deere turbocharged four-cylinder.
Forget those highway taxes, they can kiss my butt... I burn that red diesel fuel.
Joe, you burn AG diesel fuel right?

Good Morning to all GB'ers from 59 degree So-Cal where it's a tad nippy, but soon I'll only -wish- for such mild temps.
WR: with things like even harder times- like I hear starting in 2014, all we can do is keep focused on our Father in Heaven. I have no doubts he'll see us through anything harmlessly.
LOL Geezer. Glad to hear U felt that wet incident resulted from a typical UN-predictable night in the sack & brought more h2o to sip on.

GR, I was laughing a few minutes after it happened. It was only water, and the situation just seemed so improbable that it hit my funny bone. Mrs. Geezer gave me the hairy eyeball when I brought up a glass of water and placed it on my nightstand last night. No problems to report this morning. :-)

Happy Sunday! 68 degrees this morning.
No rain, or not much, yesterday. We completed housework most of yesterday, then went to eat at Truett's Grill followed by a movie, "Iron Man 3." It was a great movie!
We're going to the Braves game this afternoon so I hope the forecasted rain stays away.

Just BEING in Detroit would be enough to scare most people. I spent a week in Cleveland getting our oldest into CIA and that was enough for me. Youngest goes to Detroit for training every so often--come back and REALLY enjoys San Diego.

"The Crew Cuts," Choco. "Sha-BOOM!" LOL (They're credited near the front of the book.)
Just back from the bariatric surgery seminar. If my cardio guy will okay the procedure, I'll probably be having "gastric sleeve" surgery soon. The guys I went to don't even like to do "lap band" anymore, and now that I've heard the "pitch," I don't want it, either. With this procedure, they just hack off most of the stomach and dump it.
Oh, well....fed up is fed up. I'm ready to take my chances.
GOTTA have a nap. (Didn't sleep much last night.) .

Good Morning all from 62 deg So-Cal where I see the sun just now brightening things up a ton outdoors -as if possibly a sunny day may be in store all day.
Geezer, those sorts of things happen to most people without pre-warnings sometimes. And most of us would likely just never mention it so others knew- in actuality. So your honest admission reassures even us: Human Beings aren't always perfect & without accidents or mindless acts.
And while someone's asleep- possibilities -can- be endless.

I waterboarded myself last night. I keep a glass of water on the nightstand and take a sip from time to time over the sleep hours. Last night was the same as all the others in that regard, but apparently when I took a drink I fell back to sleep with the glass in my hand and at some undertermined interval later...poured it on my own face! Over my shoulder and down my back it went. I didn't know I could still move that fast, or jump that high.
I took the sheet off (our bed is one of those fancy-assed adjustable memory foam jobs, so it's basically two twin beds lashed together) and finished the night in the guest bedroom. Mrs. Geezer was very concerned this morning. She thought I was incontinent. She'd slept through it all.
Maybe I should use a smaller glass from now on, or one of those sippy cups the toddlers use.

The Nagger just nags, that's all she does with her beautiful body.
The US Farm Report is over so I'm going back to bed.
Although I should go out and change the oil in the John Deere, cut the grass and rototill the garden and it's only 42°F outside.
And, it snowed last weekend.
My buddy at work said there's a (1) foot snow pack in Germfask, MI. on the east side of Seney National Wiildlife Refuge.

Good morning everyone,
Now the two troublesome children of my MIL's husband are "horribly insulted" that the obituary will include my MIL's children, despite the fact that they were married for 37 years and he considered them to be included in his family. They also want to plan their own funeral for him, with their own choice of minister. (I don't think that either one of them have been in church for years except for baptisms, weddings, and funerals.)
