Doc...I've not used Nerdtons in a long time! I don't miss it! Congrats on the #1 spot for 30 day high!

grmoore....great to hear about your daughter and that you are still announcing!

Mick...I miss riding, but the way people drive here in Florida, I will pass on that one! That's what got me in a heap of trouble with my medical problems in the first place!

Geezer, I finally got tired of messing with this Compaq mosheen and did a factory image recovery on it. BEAUTIFUL! Only trouble is, it started SCREAMING at me immediately to "ACTIVATE NORTON!"

SKUH-roo that! Soon's all the hundreds of "updates" are on there, I'm going to "search" and root out EVERYTHING even related to Norton or Symantec. I already have Avast FREE, and, yes, I highly recommend it. Be careful, though, or you'll download from one of the "thug" sites and end up with a bunch of their CRAP! Safest way is to find a CNET download...and even with that, you have to be careful.

In addition to Avast!, I always combine with Spybot. Fact is, I think Spybot is better than Avast, but together, they beat the HELL out of Norton!

ANYway, this 'pooter is really singing a nice song now!

G'mornin', dp 'n all.

'nuther fine, sunny day in the offing. It's 50 outside right now and will be climbin' to the 70's. I can live with that.

Put some new mufflers on the Harley yesterday...little bit louder, but not for the worse. Somehow havin' a Hog that didn't have a voice was wrong. Those folks that apparently can't see me comin' can now hear me instead.

WATCH FOR MOTORCYCLES...PLEASE!

Joe Bob, when you get to Tennessee are you gonna change your name to JoeBuckboard?

Doc, I just did a recovery on my computer. Norton keeps trying to have me install it, but I've resisted. Do you recommend Avast?

Happy Thursday! 54 degrees this morning.

Walk complete; breakfast in a few minutes.

MadDog - Our daughter is doing well - thanks for asking. re: Announcing - yep - subbed for baseball yesterday and my 2014 debut was successful. They won 12-6 after a slow start. Team is now 19-23 (the move to the Sun Belt Conference has been a tough road.).

Off to continue the day.

Have a great day all!

Good morning everyone,

I'll head home today, and handle yard work and cabin prep tomorrow.

docputer,

Glad you like it. Years ago we were in all of the Krogers in San Antonio. I remember flying down to start some of them, and was surprised to see the airplane nearly empty. When I got to the motel, I heard that there had been eleven tornado touchdowns in the area that day.

MadDog, you are correct...and I paid those thieves the big money for a lot of years. Now they've started being as bad as what they're supposed to clean up. Avast is ten times better --- but now so many criminals are "using" Avast for their own schemes, it's getting almost impossible.

I wish you all a good night. WR-INC, the WR chicken was terrfic....for old dead chicken, that is.

Docputer,

I wasted enough in my youth. I owe the company for the mistakes from then. They always covered me then, and until I retire <ya sure> I'll keep paying them back.

Not morning anymore, so Howdy!

Joseph, I've been thinking of your becoming a Tennesseean --- the new "King of the Wild Frontier." You sure a former "Bowery Boy"/East Side Kid/Brooklyn Bum gon' be right at home down there in "Deliverance" country? Well, for SURE don'tchoo go raftin' no rivers....them pig lovers STILL frequent that country --- and they are just EXACTLY as they were in that movie!

LOL LOL LOL, etc.

WR-INC, from what I know of you, it's about time you "wasted" a few company assets. You do remember hearing what happens when one burns a candle at both ends, right? Kick back and enjoy once in a while --- and if you can stop by here this evening, you can share some delicious WondeRoast Old Dead Chicken!

LOL LOL LOL, etc., etc.

Later, y'all --- I got Spybot running AGAIN on that infested laptop. It's already found 1700+ instances of "malware." How "Maroonical" can people be!

Can you believe SpellCheck inSISTED I misspell "Tennesseean" as "Tennessean"?

MickD, I had no trouble at all with the link. I just got 'way overbusy and didn't make a comment. I do think your Mika has a nice voice and sounds very competent and professional. I do also have to say that I'm an old "Ella Fitzgerald" kind of guy, and I also did "Summertime" on many occasions back in my youth, so I'm really stuck with the feeling that song just MUST go "slow and easy." Fact is, I've been working on it now off and on for a couple of years, so I'll probably have my own version on YouTube sooner or later. Tell Mika I love her voice, though. She's great.

Good night, folks. Been working on a truly INFESTED laptop. The WORST culprit in the damned thing was NORTON --- blowing horns and popping up dozens and DOZENS of "warnings" --- mostly trying to get itself RENEWED!

GOD, I DESPISE NORTON!

'Night, all.

O.K....when you access the site, scroll down 16 rows to "Porgy and Bess" in the left hand column to hear my Daughter, Mika, perform a duet, singing:

"SUMMERTIME"

The site works this way!

Good thoughts and a couple of Aleve did the trick, Sir Joseph. I'm ready to get outside and check out the irises again....well, except for the 91°F out there right now....

....maybe I'll wait a bit!

Meanwhile, I still have all-rotten 'taters and some of the GOOOOOD fried catfish leftover from yesterday.

Back later.

'Morning. Yep, that's it...just "Mornin'." Starting out bad, with a really REALLY painful left hip. Guess that down-on-the-knees getting the irises into the ground yesterday did me in for a while. Now the only relief is sitting, and that's not good, for sure.

Maybe coffee will help.

Whack, you mess with Kimbu and you won't have to worry about retirement anymore. By the time we get through with you, you'll have the best deal you ever had: Corpses get laid forever!

LOL LOL LOL, etc.

I thought the same thing, joe.

WackiPoop, I don't even know what a "wet Willie" is, but I hope it has nothing to do with your bud "Slick Willy."

LOL LOL LOL, etc.

I just told her to give you a big ol' SMOOCHEE!

Shoot, I bet you enjoyed it, too....but DON'T get the idea you'll ever get one in PERSON!

GAGGGGGG!

LOL LOL LOL, etc., etc.

Got a lot done today, including putting the two big purple irises I still had in the greenhouse out by the steps going to the carport. Can't wait for those beauties to bloom, but I bet they won't do it 'til next year. Anybody know how long it takes irises to start blooming after being put into the ground?

Well, I gotta get things done here now. Y'all be good.

Wups....MickD, I'd sure like to have your daughter's recipe.

Dp- For Easter dinner my Daughter served a 3-cheese, no boil macaroni and cheese dish with bacon. The sauce is prepared on the stove top, poured over the dry mac and backed 'til the mac is soft. It was, aside from my own mammy's extra sharp white aged cheddar mac 'n cheese, the best I've ever had.
Pushed my chair away from the table after one extra large serving.

Choco- I lost my Lainie in January of 2011 and can't explain just how much I still miss her and how much she meant to me while she was here. I do now realize she will always be with me in heart and mind, and I'll just have to carry on in a way that would make her proud and happy. The physical loss never goes away but the good times are there when you need them.

I surely wish I'd stopped after the first plateful of ham and all-rotten potatoes and "stuff." I didn't. I was miserable all night and still feel like the canary that swallowed the cat.

Oh, well...
