Baylee - pardon the "level 1 help desk approach" but I have to ask the basic questions....

When the page loads is there a "play" button indicator on the straight line? The "play" button looks something like a colored in (gray) greater than sign - > - and is located on the far left of play (progress) line?

Since the page won't automatically play, you will need press the play button so it will play. Additionally, to the far right, there should be an elapsed time (starts with 00:00) followed by 00:42. Looks like this:

00:00 / 00:42

If these items are present, it may be that you need to have Windows Media Player or RealPlayer installed and the webpage on which the fanfare is stored, will "call the program" and play it. If this doesn't work, I'll see what other options are available...

Last, if the (play) progress line moves, it is playing, the sound will need to be adjusted. If the progress doesn't move, then it's definitely something technical....

HVHF ban by the State of New York

Oil and gas has been extracted all across the Lower Peninsula for years.

What does that have to do with geezer? I don't live in Detroit and either does he.

It sounds like if you want sex in the shower -- you should buy my house in Northwest Detroit.

You could probably get a permit from the Michigan DNR for High Volume Hydraulic Fracturing (HVHF).

lol and so on

Governor Cuomo put a band ON the practice in the state of New York all because of geezer and his Ann Arbor, Michigan hippie friends.

lol

Well, Little C is cuter'n a bug, and I sympathize with her because of the trouble with standing on that HIGH ladder AND the "topping" that finally just slipped all the way down. (What the heck WAS that?) I'm sure that embarrassed her, also....NOT a good thing in addition to the fear of being on the ladder.

BayleeBug, I'm sure you don't use Windows, so my suggestions probably won't apply anyway, but you might check online for a sound package that might solve the problem. I'd suggest trying RealPlayer first. I think they cover most of the OS bases as well as all of the sound file types.

PsyCoBoneHead, here is a late news flash that I'm sure you'll find interesting:
****************************************************************************
According to a recent survey conducted for a leading toiletries firm (Brut), people from the cities of Detroit and Chicago are the most likely to have had sex in the shower! In the survey, 86% of Detroit's and Chicago's inner city residents said that they have enjoyed sex in the shower.

The other 14% said they hadn't been to prison yet.
****************************************************************************

LOL LOL LOL, etc.

...oh, Baylee...one more thing: IF there is a right arrow on the left end of the "play line," click on that. TOO simple, I know...

Joe, my problem is more basic than that --it doesn't play at all. The little play line just sits at 00:00 and nothing else happens :-(

grm, I can't get your fanfare to play at all. The page opens fine, but refuses to play. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Mick, can you bring your Xmas cactus indoors, or rig up a cover to keep some of the rain off?

Good morning everyone,

Another cold morning here. I still haven't shoveled the deck, but don't want to for fear of uncovering ice. Tomorrow it should start warming, so I'll do it tonight.

A little anarchy in some of the message topics, with "I Hate Everyone" and "Suggest an Opinion Poll Question" missing.

Doc, I'd buy another puter off of ya if I had internet service.

Or inter-chick-good looking female service.

Old hippie music from the 60's

BTW, you can have the Nagger...for free.

lol and so on

I asked her to get married 41+ years ago...

Bone, considering the fact you never even bothered to hook up the one I sold you, anyway....and now it's so far out of date it's worthless....I wouldn't sell you another one if you asked me.

LOL LOL LOL, etc.

But lemme know if The Nagger needs one. Maybe we could work out a barter deal.

Doc, are ya tryin' to sell me another puter?..huh?

FOF, the only angel I saw was a very cute blonde little girl.

Reminded me of my twin girls when they were terrorists in Detroit.

Those girls elevated my blood pressure when they were (3) years old...(16) years ago.

I don't have the foggiest idea what they look like...*heavy sigh*

Yeah, gr, I thought your music was great, too.

FOF, I never did see the Angel, but the angle of the camera must have been bad, because the whole thing looked as if it took place "Downstairs" rather than "Up" --- if y'know whattamean --- so I would have only expected to see a "Former Angel" "down there," anyway.

LOL LOL LOL, etc.

Nobody interested in my "stuff" on eBay, huh?

Oh, well...

FOF, those kids are black -- are you from Nairobi? A few years back Doc said you were a redhead. I don't know what any of the women look like in here, except for Mindy. She has thick beautiful straight dark brown - black hair all the way down to her butt..

lol and so forth

Thanks! It was fun! This is the Brass Quintet +, Organ, and percussion version - the "+" is the typical brass quintet, 2 Tpts, Horn, Trombone, & Tuba; I have added an extra trumpet and a baritone. This percussion version only has chimes.

I will upload the brass choir version soon.

I couldn't believe it! OMG I thought, something is definitely wrong. I put 11.002 gallons of regular into my KIS Soul Plus and it was less than $30.00. The price at COSTCO was $2.399....lowest I've seen since I retired in 2003. I'd heard of gas prices going below $2.00 but hadn't believed it. Now, maybe, if things keep going right, one day the prices here will be that low.

Got Barnes and Noble to fix my NOOK, so now I can read while reposing on the throne early in the morning before walking the dog--it's getting cold out there now. Even the dog wants to hurry up and come back in

I'll second BayleeBuggy's request, grmoore. Don't think you can just attach a sound file here, though. You may have to put it up somewhere...maybe Photobucket (Dunno if they just host sound files, but they do host videos, so maybe.)

Greetings Doc, Baylee, Mindy, PayPump, Mick, WRINC, Joelimo, Geezer, Wack, MadDogUSMC, Loree71, Full of Fun, Chasms, blkvette00, Psycho Sid, & Others:

Happy Tuesday! 60 degrees and raining this morning. Got my 40+ minute walk in this morning; surely glad I took an umbrella because about 15 minutes into it, it started pouring.

MadDog & Doc - thanks much! It's nice to travel, but it's always great to return to my homeland!! Yeah, the weather is crazy but hey, we can always add and remove clothing layers! lol

Had a productive first day back into the office yesterday as we begin to wrap up things for the year. With the 26th now officially an added federal holiday, I will begin my use or lose leave this Friday and will be out of the office for the rest of the year returning on Jan 5th.

I'm still adjusting to the time change but at least I'm making some productive strides on writing some music! I was up early this morning when I heard another item to add. I will have to figure out how to attach a sound file for my new Brass, Organ, & Percussion Fanfare for those interested in listening to it.

Off to start the day.

Have a great day all!

I don't like Guinness draft. It doesn't have the bubbles(fizz) head that I enjoy. It's sort of flat. I'll have to find some Irish lager or go back to OB, that wasn't bad and brought back memories of my years in Itaewon(Seoul)

Good morning this afternoon.

Finally....sometime after three this morning....I slept like a log; albeit a "damp" log (Hadda hit the facilities three or four times for a "drip-session." Doctor thinks that's a result of taking the experimental diabetes drug which flushes some of the body's sugar out "youREEN-O-logically." Makes sense to me, but I had MUCH too much of that back when I had the infamous BPH...and I thought I was through with it.)

Glad to hear you're back in Hotlanta, grmoore, with its refreshingly chilly....though damp.....temps. Sounds about like what we've had here for three weeks or so. Today, however, we have the famous Extra-bright Texas sunshine and a balmy 70+, already headed toward 80 or better...probably better. Suits me and the pups, for sure. They've already been soaking it up out on the porch, and I just went out for a while to thank The Man for the unfathomable beauty of His creation. Couldn't help mumbling "How beautiful!" when I walked outside.

....and there are actually people who dedicate themselves to destroying it. Is that amazing, or what?

...or is it simply stark, FIRM evidence of the existence of Beelzebub and his crew?

I think so...and I think it's WAR --- but I think I'm on the winning side, and that does make me feel better.

God bless us every one!

Greetings Doc, Baylee, Mindy, PayPump, Mick, WRINC, Joelimo, Geezer, Wack, MadDogUSMC, Loree71, Full of Fun, Chasms, blkvette00, Psycho Sid, & Others:

Happy Monday! 30 degrees this morning. Continuing with my workout plan - 40 minute walk complete; it was a little brisk but quite enjoyable. It was a good 60 degree difference walking outside when compared to my last week of 90 degree weather in the mornings lol.

Thanks Joe!

Our grand-daughter's dance recital went well! We even got to see our son and daughter-in-law participate as "the parents" in the Nutcracker. It was both enjoyable and entertaining.

Last night's "Christmas at Community" musical presentation went very well and likely will begin a tradition. All of the musical groups from several locations came together to offer a wonderful night of musical praise.

I slept well last night - much better than the previous two nights - although it was near midnight before I went up to bed. I finished my brass and percussion fanfare so it will be ready to rehearse this Wednesday in preparation for Christmas Eve services.

Off to start the day.

Have a great day all!
