Greetings Doc, Baylee, Mindy, PayPump, Mick, WRINC, Joelimo, Geezer, Wack, MadDogUSMC, Loree71, Full of Fun, Chasms, blkvette00, Psycho Sid, & Others:

Happy Friday! 44 degrees this morning. 2.6 mile complete.

I'm working from home this morning and will go into the office this afternoon to finish up a few items before calling it a day.

I will call the Georgia State volleyball game this evening and my wife will accompany me so I'll work for a few hours this afternoon and swing by her office so we can talk one vehicle to the Sports Arena.

Geez - I assume you're referring to the dermatologist visit - Nope; just precancerous stuff. If you're referring to international travel; nope - I am far enough away from that!

Interesting game between Florida State & Louisville last night. The Noles sure increase my blood pressure with being "asleep" until the 2d half!

Off to continue the day.

Have a great day all!

Baylee I spent 15 years in Korea where hemp is used to make summer clothing. It is much cooler than today's plastic and a lot cooler than cotton. That's the reason the cotton growers did not want hemp grown or imported. My point was/still is that I was forced, as Doc was probably too to NOT like marijuana as it was illegal and kids were warned that it would lead to drug addiction far worse than they ever imagined. I wasted all that time telling them something that today is legal. It pisses me off.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

What's all of this crap about pot?

Big deal, I divorced my wife because she smoked $1100.00 a month of high grade dispensary pot!

That IS a house payment where I come from.

Good evening!

Choco, if you have the time you should read up on the history of why mary jane was made illegal. It is not at all the same kind of drug as the others that the law was supposed to get rid of. The latest theory I heard was that the cotton growers lobbied hard for its inclusion so that the hemp growers would no longer be able to compete.

And for the record, I've never smoked anything, tobacco or otherwise, so I'm pretty unbiased about it.

Blo, that has been very strange. He father just died a couple of weeks ago, and he took time off -- they were very close. Then last weekend it was announced that he was terminated, with no explanation. And things have just been getting stranger ever since. Several more women have now added to the stories, so it's not looking good. I'm still reserving judgement.

Glad you're finished with the "grabbers," WR-INC. Funny thing how they almost always pop up when a loved one with assets passes away. I can say that there was absolutely none of that when my parents went. Everything was decided ahead of time, and my middle sister was designated "head honcho," and it all went quickly and smoothly --- and is the reason we were finally able to get our own home...not a mansion, by any means, but ours..and LONG ago paid for.

I won't get into any sort of war with you about pot, Choco, but I still say that if the old woman I see sitting and smoking and HURTING most all of every day of her life could have some MJ that I could grow in the garden outside, rather than the DAMNable "doctor dope" that causes more problems than it helps, she AND I would be one HELL of a lot better off!

Besides THAT --- when/if the stuff is legalized, the dopeheads won't have to rely on cartels and the thugs THERE will have to find some other reason to torture and kill people.

"Porhibition" doesn't work! That was proven LONG ago!

Later, all...just got a "busted lappie" in the mail that I can't WAIT to "play with."

I voted today. Almost a straight Libertarian ticket. I refused to vote for ANY of those clowns who keep running negative advertising on TV. So and so is 'spineless' or '; a train wreck' or any such crap. The voters do not know these people and ads like this do no good for or to anybody. They did not receive my votes.

Outside the polling place they were trying to get a couple of items on the next ballot. One was to tax marajuana--which I am for--and give that tax to support the schools--which indirectly says to me that the 41 years I spent in the classroom telling young people not to smoke pot was a waste of time. It's bad enough they made it legal, but now smoking it is not only legal, but, folks, it'll support your schools. If that is not encouragement I don't know what is.

Voting has driven me to make some of that good ol' Prison Chili and pick some of those leaves from the backyard bush to go with it. Almost to 3 million points--two days or maybe less.

Got some great news - the two "kids" who were contesting my MIL's late husband's will have dropped their suits. Now the will can be probated - a year and a half after he died.

Good morning.

Probably not, Blo, since you notice almost everything I do...heh...heh...heh!

Oboy...stayed up most of the night with that KolleyFORNyah laptop. Sure hope a replacement inverter makes the thing come alive...I'm a little discouraged already; although I did manage to get around five or six passwords AND restore the Windows XP partition. (I had the computer dual-booting WinXP and Win7 when I sold it to the dear boy for his spoose.) NEVER have I seen so many blasted PASSWORDS, though! NOT necessary....not even SMART....especially when you don't remember the things or write 'em down!

Oh, well...I got a SWEETHEART of a Lenovo (IBM) coming today...also with a busted screen, and since I bought a replacement screen via Amazon Prime, IT will be here tomorrow. FUN! FUN! FUN!

Anybodyneedalaptop? "Limited Lifetime Guarantee"!

LOL LOL LOL, etc.

Later....got part of a cow wrapped up in egg here...pretty good....and works okay if you can't have tortillas.

Baylee...Canada has been the source of much media madness lately! Thanks to my writer cousin, I've been reading the sordid story of Jian Ghomeshi...wowsie! No one's talking much about it here in the States.

Happy Thursday! 44 degrees this morning. 2.6 mile walk complete.

Dental and dermatology appointment went well. No issues at dentist and the normal freezing events for multiple places on my face, hands, arms and back. I return in 6 months for both.

We'll have dinner with our daughter in Atlanta tonight after work.

Off to another day of meetings and solving challenges.

Have a great day all!

Thankee, Bonester. Hope things are well with you, too. That reminds me, how soon will you be able to retire from that wonderful, enjoyable job of yours? The way you're talking lately, I hope it's soon. I know what being miserable on a job is like. After I just flat became too white and too English-speaking, I got really REALLY down about that job I'd loved so much for so many years. Some things you just can't live with.

ANYway, I'm finally hitting the sack. Good night to all.

Howdy.

Been really going today. Had to take The LuLu to her pain meds doctor....and wait. Then we came back by HEB to get flu shots...and waited. I don't like waiting anymore than I did when I was a professional.

LOL LOL LOL, etc.

Seemed by the time we got home, I might feel better if I HAD the stinking flu!

'S'nuffa' THAT!

Then I found the new screen for Chasm's laptop sitting in its box on the porch, so I had to rush right in and get it in.....and NOTHING! Still had to go to the external monitor. THEN I noticed the "ghosts" on the new screen, so now I know --- it wasn't JUST a bad screen.....the **^$X%&9 inverter HAS to be bad, too. So I PRIED it out --- because it had fried itself to the casing --- got the numbers off of it and ordered a new one. Now I have to wait ANOTHER four days for THAT to arrive! Crappola!

Oh, well, if all works out, his spoose will have a laptop that still looks like a new one and still works like a new one. That's a good thing.

MEANtime, I've bought a real SWEETIE off eBay that has a cracked screen, but nothing else at ALL wrong with it, so I'll have some fun with that while waiting for the new inverter.

Life is good when there's interesting stuff to do! Sure would be better with a couple of the "things I miss the most," but such is life....

Gotta get some stuff done here so I don't fall behind on points. Later...or earlier, y'all!

Had a chocolate chip cookie today from Albertons--a market w/bakery. Wasn't anywhere near as good as McDonald's cc cookies.

Put sweater on Koko last night and she almost threw a fit. No sweater for her. Perhaps it is too early but the morning temps are getting down into the 50snd she looks cold. Oh well, try again when they drop into the 40s.

Good to hear Boop is coming along all right. Maybe it's the inhalers that put the animals off. They produce a small animals don't like and we cannot detect them.

Greetings Doc, Baylee, Mindy, PayPump, Mick, WRINC, Joelimo, Geezer, Wack, MadDogUSMC, Loree71, Full of Fun, Chasms, blkvette00, Psycho Sid, & Others:

Happy Wednesday! 54 degrees this morning.

I have two medical appointments this morning, my semi-annual dental and the scrape, freeze, cut (aka dermatologist) visits. Accordingly I will attend those and work from home around them this morning then it's off to the office for a transition meeting for my new government employee hire who starts on Monday. I will be out of the country so I need to ensure he has some of the "bubble" so he can be somewhat productive next week.

My wife's appointment went pretty well yesterday, although they have determined she pinched a nerve in her back so she'll have to see the orthopedist to see what's going on there. She thought it was a sciatic nerve issue; thankfully that doesn't appear to be the case.

Traffic going in mid-morning was much more tolerably than the normal rush hour though.

Off to start the day.

Have a great day all!

Doc, how about some home surgery? If it's that close to the surface, I might be tempted.

Sid, I'm sorry to hear about your friend. Sounds like you shared some pretty intense times.

Loree, good news about the boopster. Most of our beasts cuddle with me, because I'm more accommodating. I think that just means I'm more of a sucker.

Howdy.

Made up for lost sacktime today. Didn't have much luck last night, but today was a SNOOZER --- cloudy all day, sorta halfway coolish, quiet...nice!

Anyway, I'm UP an' ATTEM!

And so is the ganglion cyst Doc Drukker drained yesterday --- filling right back up again, almost to the original size in less than 24 hours.

Oh, well....that's enough of that....I'll just keep what I have. At least there's not even a chance of its being dangerous.

Yep, WR-INC, I like 'em so well I've bought five of them. So far, every time I've got one jazzed up just the way I like it, somebody else needs it worse than I do. Now I'm down to the last one. Oh...and so far, I haven't had to make good on the "Lifetime Guarantee."

LOL LOL LOL, etc.

(Remember? We're talking about MY lifetime....so you may be covered for the next twenty years or for the next twenty MINUTES! That's actually known as an "Adjustable Term Warranty," administered by the Father Time Warranty Assn.)

LOL LOL LOL, etc., etc.

Got an interesting one going now. Chasms sent me his wife's laptop --- complete with a non-functioning LCD screen and a "Windows User Password" that neither of them has any idea about....NObody knows what it is or WAS.

Fun, huh? I'll have a replacement screen in by Friday, and if things work out right, I'll have the user name bypassed and reset by then...something new for me, so another learning experience.

LESSON TO LEARN: DON'T PUT A STINKING PASSWORD ON YOUR COMPUTER WITHOUT AT LEAST MAKING SOME ATTEMPT TO REMEMBER THE THING....AND EVEN THEN, WRITE IT DOWN!

Even better: Since you don't live in a high-crime household, DON'T PASSWORD THE DAMNED THING TO START WITH!

I've actually got a really nice laptop over in the corner in a couple of boxes that has a "BIOS LOCK" on it that some moron put in years ago. I THINK I've figured out how to defeat that, but I'm really afraid my soldering skills might not be sufficient, so I'm hoping Layno comes back home sometime soon so he can take a shot at it.

Oh, well...ain't life fun?

Loree71,

Our cats mostly stay on my wife's lap, but occasionally will venture to mine. Vini can only lay next to me on the couch, because he can't fit on her recliner. Plus I share treats with him. She won't.

Encouraging news for Don at the pulmonolgist yesterday. No cancer, no evidence of any additional scarring in the lung tissue. He did, however, get a THIRD inhaler sample to try, so now he will be hitting one twice a day, one once a day, and one as needed. If Don likes the new one, the doc will call in an RX for it on a permanent basis.

Boop is pouty this AM because he went to bed early, and I stayed up to watch TV, then fell asleep in the recliner. What he's pouty about is that all four of the critters wound up sleeping in the recliner with me, and not one of them bothered to come visit him! He said he even picked up Chuy and took him back to bed with him, but five minutes later Chuy was back with me!

Hope y'all have a great day today. I will be working on VFW holiday stuff this morning for veterans, and spending the afternoon working on the Christmas Party for our adopted Army Reserve unit.

Not to upset anyone, but I'm leaving the farm here in Saginaw County and going to a funeral for a brother of mine who passed.

We were brothers --- the two of us made rhetoric in the Eastern District Federal Court in the Eastern District of Michigan to back up wrongful charges against our motorcycle club from the US Secret Service.

I'll explain the whole story to Doc about how the standoff almost came to a full firefight, with multiple deaths in a shootout when the US Secret Service, who were trespassing on private property at our clubhouse in Detroit.

With no warrants for anyone in the club, they were looking for counterfeit money.

It was ugly, that's all I have to say about the US Feds.

That story would have made the CNN National News.

(11) Brothers on the roof of the clubhouse with 12 gauge Mossberg shotguns.

Good morning everyone,

docputer,

I see why you might want one of these notebooks for yourself. The screen is about an inch smaller than my old one, but it's sharper and brighter. Also, it's overall faster.

BTW, that's a joke but I wouldn't mind pooping on geezers front lawn myself.

Sir Joe, I don't care about the Red Sea, Moses did not split the Red Sea, it was Charlton Heston that split the Red Sea back in the 60'se, that's a BIG affirmative.

I watched it on TV, on a black-and-white TV set back in Detroit...1960 something.

Dang...think I might just have to have a lil' nap!

Later.............

I hate to say it, Doc... but, if you would like a second opinion, my specialist thinks you're losing yer marbles and they're comin' out yer wrist. LOL

Good morning.

Have to get myself in gear to go see Doc Drukker at 1:00 PM. The dear boy will probably drain this conFOUNDed ganglion cyst on my left wrist again, as it's back again rather prominently. I'm letting him know, though, that if it doesn't do any good this time, I'm just going to keep the thing, since it really doesn't bother me much, anyway....just irritating to have what looks like a marble stuck under the skin there.

Oh, well...could be worse.

Y'all try to keep busy now, and I'll talk with you when I get back.

It appears we support a collection of, um, not-so-great NFL teams here. Carolina, Atlanta, the Giants.... There's always next year.

Greetings Doc, Baylee, Mindy, PayPump, Mick, WRINC, Joelimo, Geezer, Wack, MadDogUSMC, Loree71, Full of Fun, Chasms, blkvette00, Psycho Sid, & Others:

Happy Monday! 60 degrees this morning. 2.6 mile walk complete. It was pretty comfortable outside this morning. I dressed in layers with a short sleeved and long sleeved T-shirt so it was just enough to keep me warm.

Tough loss for the Falcons yesterday. I saw the end of the game; wow, what a way to lose. Geez....

Doc - lol.

Another day of work will go in the books at the end of the work day. Compared to last week, it should be a lighter day and week. We'll see...

Off to continue the day.

Have a great day all!
