After having so many people admire my pictures on my profile someone suggested a "Pets" topic. Gas Buddy suggested I start it here. Here goes!

Tiger kept chewing on me and trying to enter data on the keyboard. Poor kitty is now out on the balcony.

rick: glad to hear Jennie is doing pretty good..Duke used to be the same way in his later years with his appetite-he could eat a horse one day, then go 3 days just nibbling..as long as she's not wasting away, she's fine ; )

gonna be much cooler down here-cool front is blowing through now..i guess shorts days are over..50s by Saturday, and lows in the upper 20s-low 30s..

have a great Thursday 2s & 4s..

HI Every buddy! Hope everyone is well! Jennie is doing pretty good. She's not eating like we want her to, but she does eat some. She doesn't seem to be wasting away, so guess she's ok.

We are in the 40's today and a grey afternoon. Going to be chilly next few days.

Take care all! Jennie says arf, arf!!

Hi there 10k we are still saying our prayer for moms dog and I understand how she feels. And thanks for the compliment but when I look at the property it, it looks so beautiful. Well it was a cold windy day out there today so I stayed in and even took a nap with little Haley snicker snicker she is back in her little soccer shirt its nice and warm. I was back in my sweet shirt and jeans and was still cold. Hard to believe that just yesterday I was in shorts and a t-shirt. Wednesday is suppose to be a little warmer so I will clean the gutters and trim the last hill. Then the yard will be finished for the winter. We lost our dog in august and by late september I could not take the quiet, so that is how we found little Haley and it was the right time too. Not that I needed another job but we so needed that love that only an animal can give to their adopter. Best thing I ever did was drive up to Michigan and bring her home, I sometimes believe that we needed her more so who rescued who? Hi Penske still working all those hours huh. Well it is a job and the way things are you are lucky, keep telling yourself that! Here is wishing all my 2"s and 4's a good evening and a nice Wednesday. Penske don't work to hard my friendHaley sends her best murf to you all LOL!:)

Just checking in to say woof woof and meow! One of these days we'll get a break at work so I can chat a little longer. The fur balls are doing just fine. Checkers did not need to have any extractions, which is good, but his stinky breath is back. Oh well..

mags..i feel your pain, cause my mom also lives in a five bedroom house on almost 2 acres..she talks from time to time about moving, but i don't think she ever will-she's got too many memories in that house..my parents built it in 1965, so i can't see her ever leaving, cause 49 years is a longggg time..i sure hope Otis pulls through this, cause even though he's 14, and can't have many years left, i would hate to see him go down this time of year-the gloom of darkness, and cold temps, and cold wind, and snow would put her in a funk, i'm afraid, if Otis is not there..AHA !!!-Haley was all nekkid today, eh ??-hmmmm..running around, feeling her oats and youth, eh ?-snicker..

oh yeah-good daughter raking all of mom's leaves ; )

have a great Tuesday 2s and 4s..

Hi 10k well I finally finished with all the leaves on this ole 2 acre lot. Glad Mom wants to sell and buy a smaller home too much work and I'am not getting younger. But then I hear that getting old is not for sissy'sLOL Haley was in her glory today she was naked today all day. She was running in circles and running like she had hot sauce, then she made herself dizzy and had to sit for a few minutes snicker snicker. So glad to hear about Otis poor baby! Hi there sneakers I don't think that poor Rocky will gt a splinter but I would check the floor for marks and check to see the his nails are not too long! It sounds like he will be fine, how are you feeling about your move to your own place? I hope that all goes great for you! To all my 2's and 4's fellow animal lovers have a good nite and a good tuesday!:)

Rocky is restless tonight. He keeps moving around. He's going around the living room and once he scratched his belly on the carpet. Wonder if he'll get splinters in the new house? Most of the floors are wood.

Tiger is curled up asleep on me. He may get awakened in a bit because I feel like I need to go to the bathroom.

Hi DJ, I had a gunie pig when I was younger I really loved her she was really a smart little bugger. Hi 10k great to hear about otis and I bet that makes mom feel better too! Chicken wings oh don't you spoil him. It was a beautiful day so I dead headed the rest of the garden and flower gardens too. Glad to get that finished and put out he shovels by each door and patio door, winter will be here soon enough and I \'am trying really hard to be prepared!LOL The sun was shinning and the leaves were blowing all over the place, but our yard looks so pretty now, if its nice our Sunday so I can relax and just spread out the manure and grass seeds, fill up a few holes and seed that down and wait till spring. So I just thought that I would stop for a few minutes and say Hi to all 2's and 4's and wish you all a wonderful Sunday!:)

DJDUFFY: glad to hear you had two more guinea pigs..i think you are correct about the others-they are watching and waiting to be re-united one day ; )

mags: i know my mom appreciates all prayers, and concerns..Otis is 14, and overweight, so that's two strikes against him, but today he is acting like nothing is wrong with him at all-amazing..the real test will come tomorrow when i show up with the chicken wings..he's always hyper til he gets his fill of them-lol..congrats on your yard work, especially smoking out the vermin ; ) no rain here-we're getting a nice drying out period, and we need it..i'll probably be in my yard as much as possible this weekend, cause it's the last full weekend before time returns to normal..DJ says "murf" to Haley..

have a great Saturday 2s and 4s..

Hi 10k we also took our rottie and min- pins to the vet school up in Madison. It was the best place and they all loved our rotti they wanted to keep her for their school maskott lol. But we chose to keep her she was so loved by all, and the min-pins were always at her side. I know how you and your Mom must be feeling they are our best friends but we are praying here and I have said a special one for Otis. Well I have to admit it is nice to look at how mom's beautiful yard has turned out and it was fun watching them run for cover lol. Have to wait for the rain to stop and then more dead-heading and leave blowing out front, the pine burns and smells so good! I hope all 2's and 4's have a great weekend, little Haley is having fun chasing that goofy red squirrel and picking up leaves and small branches( very small)lol.

howdy mags..

mom's dog, Otis, had surgery this morning for a sarcoma tumor..the vet was gonna keep him overnight, but he said Otis was doing well enough to come home..the internet is a bad place to read about stuff like this, so i went to the NC State University Veterinary School site to see what they said abut it-our vet graduated from the NCSU Vet School..basically it comes down to how long it was there before mom found it-early detection has a 90% survival rate, but he will not know anytime til the biopsy comes back..

congrats on finishing mom's side of the yard-lol..i need to dead head some of my stuff too-i gotta make the time to do it..there is a differnce in "boys will be boys", and thugs..those thugs can't boss y'all around-just continue to smoke 'em out ; )

have a great Friday 2s and 4s..

Hello all 2's and 4's, hope you are all looking forward to the weekend. 10k any news about your Mom's dog we are saying prayers for her and the dog! Well i finally finished the side of Mom's yard now all i have to do is the front and the other side. Started Dead heading most of the garden around the shed and the house Haley had ground patrol. Even she doesn't like the neighbors in back, their boys like to tease and tend to be very loud from 7a.m. to when ever. If they are not yelling they are fighting and crying, very different but they say boys will be boys. I just wear ear plugs and smile, they like to try and boos Mom and I around and they don't like it when I burn. Besides I like to garden and the vegetables were so good this year, I just try to get along and do my thing I do love to be outside feel the sun and just relax, do a lot of reading out on the swing if I'm not working. Well I hope you all have a lovely Friday!:)

So StArrow sounds like you are enjoying your selfs with the the new babies I bet they are beauties with all the energy tons of love! 10k those laser pointers are so funny to use and then watch them chase the lite and its good exercise for them. howdy y'all..

St Arrow: puppy land sounds kewl..as long as you are enjoying, that's all that counts..

mags: any day raking and burning leaves is a tough day-lol..we got a city ordinance against burning, so the town picks 'em up-sometimes they even get to them before the wind scatters them again..so the neighbors and the red squirrel are mad at ya, eh ??..as long as Haley is not, you're good to go..

Sneakers: gotta love those red laser pointers-it's funny watching them drive cats nuts..i have one, and for a while, DJ would chase it, but i think she's outgrown it now..the last few times i tried it on her, she just looked at it..i think Rocky is wise ; )

have a great Wednesday 2s and 4s..

My roommate got a red laser pointer and he decided to see how the critters react to it.

Rocky watches the spot of light dance around but he doesn't try to chase it.

We haven't been able to try it on Tiger because he's a baby cat and babies spend a lot of time sleeping. We'll wait for him to wake up, then he's usually running around wild and crazy.

Sneakers:

when my inspector was eyeballing my house as we were building it, he never liked anything, and we even had a round or two from time to time, but when he came for the final inspection, he shook my hand, told me i had a great house, and gave me a final inspection of 99..i found out a coupla years later from his brother that my house was the only 99 he had ever graded-everything else was 98 or below-true or false, i dunno, but i was happy..

if your inspector is harping about the breaker box, i would definitely upgrade to the highest type i could afford-one big enough to add extra breakers in the future..my house is 28 years old now, and i still have enough space for one large breaker or two smaller ones..

poor Rocky-has to hide under the bed now ; (

that's funny - Tiger taking over your keyboard-lol..at least you could fix the damage ; )

have a great Tuesday 2s & 4s..

Latest on the house:

The home inspector sent his report early Sunday afternoon.

He found little nits nearly everywhere, but he had nothing good to say about the breaker box. Figure it's going to take a replacement and we will need an electrician to do it. I guess that's what we get for buying a house where they say "priced low, needs improvements." It was a good bit below my maximum price range.

Rocky is hiding somewhere like usual. He used to chill behind the sofa but he's taken to under the bed in the guest bedroom now that there's one.

Tiger recently spent his time meowing at the guest bedroom door. I'd say "Come here, Tiger!" and he'd do just that. He wanted to get on my computer. Last night, he changed the name of "Macintosh HD" to gibberish. It took me a bit to figure out what was wrong. It was easy to fix: all I had to do was rename it back to what it was.

Beautiful evening and nothing better to do than sit on opposite sides of the kennel with the wife and two 13 week old Malamute puppies going about 25 lbs each and having them run back and forth jumping on each of us for about a half hour. Incoming, so much fun.

Hello penske so nice to hear from you! Try looking on ebay in the pet section they have all kinds of outfits for cats and dogs. We had to buy little Haley a new snowsuit as our winters get so cold here and she still wants to goo out . I have a friend that trained her little dog to go in a cat litter container for such cold days but Haley did not like it. Hope you have a good day on Monday, don't work too hard!:)...Hi 10k good to hear that your pup is feeling his oats and running you a little ragged! All Haley likes to do lately is run full out in a wide circle all I have to do is stand still with her leash in air above my head and she gets wild I tell, maybe she's trying to stay warm snicker snicker! She does snuggle good at night perfect back warmer but she does tend to hog the bed, if i'm not careful I could end up on the floor snicker.LOL! I have a queen size bed and I always end up on the edge, if I move she moves over until there's no place for me to go! I tell ya the things we do for our 4 legged kids lol! Stay well all of my 2 and 4 legged friends Haley is now going arf murf and then a belated arf what a hoot!:)

Good evening magpie and 10k! I would love it if I could dress up my kitties! I think they would look cute. So far it's limited to just hats.

I think Quincy would like me to leave the windows open year round. Not going to happen. They are mostly all shut.
, for the season now. Frost warning tonight. The cats both really like to lay in the open windows. I'm sure it makes for better smells. They will just have to wait until winters over unless we get some unseasonably warm weather.

Woof woof DJ and Haley! Everybody sit and behave!

this is an edit-lol..maggs came in while i was typing my message, and i didn't see her in time-snicker..

howdy maggs..this wiley pup is gonna drive me nuts this winter, i fear-lol..she really luvvvvzzz cool weather-mebbe in a month or so when it gets really cold, she will huddle up to stay warm ??..i hope y'all keep the rain, cuz we sure don't need it..drowned rat eh ??-ain't it funny how our pets seem to delight in putting us out in miserable weather..49 in Milwaukee and 72 in Chi-town eh ??-i bet the peeps in Chicago laughed over that..i think we only hit 70, but we had some really nice sunshine..okies-edit is ovah ; )

DJ is still doing fine, however, tonight she insists on doing the "out and back in routine" to the limit-mebbe the only way to get her in bed is for me to go to bed also ??..hehe..

have a great Sunday 2s & 4s ; )

Hi there 10k how are you and that willey pup of yours doing, well we had more rain and its only 49 degrees here with a lot of wind. Chicago was 72 degrees today and for a minute I thought I seen snow flakes. Haley was nice and warm in her little suit and took her sweet natured time doing her thing out there me I looked like a cold drowned rat. Its too soon to be this cold I tell ya its so unfair! Well enough whinning Sunday is suppose to be better so I will be back out and putting on the final touches for the winter lock down!

mags: glad Haley's snow suit has arrived..lol on 10 lbs heavier-wouldn't that double her weight ??-snicker..good luck to Haley with that red squirrel..yup, DJ is loving the cooler weather too much-she is wild, and playing rough with me..i dunno if she's aggressive, or if it's a cool weather puppy thing..i'm trying to remember while Duke was-i know he was wild til he was at least 4, but i don't remember the degree of wildness..

DJ is pounding on the door now, so i gotta go get her..

Hello 10k, well little Haley's snow suit finally showed up, and it fits like a glove. Of course she looks 10 pounds heavier with the insulation but it will keep her warm this winter. So I will take pictures and post them so you can see her in her jogging suitand her snow suit! DJ must be liking the cooler weather now, Haley is back to fighting this red squirrel that keeps coming to visit. I think that they are secretly friends and putting up a brave front snicker snicker. Hope that you all are doing well and that you all have a fantastic weekend!:)

Hello 10k, big haley won her baseball game and little Haley sends her best Murf&Arf to to DJ. It is cool and wet not good for older bones, but inside jobs needed to get finished too! So did my housework, put on 2 new door knobs and was cleaning the garage and then Haley and I laid down and took a little nap! Hello Penske nice to hear from you, at least you have a job but I hear you on extra hours you must be pooped! Hello sneakers I hope that you hear about the house soon, its always fun to plan out what you would like to change and then see it transpire! Everyone have a great evening and stay well!:)

Sneakers: good luck with buying your house..having pets is almost like having kids-and the vet bills can be as high or higher..i have yet to add how much i spent on Duke's last 3 years, and i'm not going to-just having him with me for 30 months after he was given 12 months, at the most, is priceless..

mags: ugh-the neighbor's leaves come into your yard ??-dang..good luck on granddaughter's baseball game..may Haley bring them good luck..DJ says "murf" back at her ; )

have a great Monday 2s and 4s..

It's down to the surveyors, the title company, and the home inspectors now. I'm going in with another guy (AJ) who is going to live in my house in return for maintaining it. AJ says he can deal with almost anything that may be wrong except for termites, for those we'll need a professional. We went out to lunch together, we discussed the white wood cabinets in the kitchen. We're deciding what we're going to do with them, stripping and staining them to bring out the natural wood grain seems to be the frontrunner.

You have never heard Rocky when somebody comes to the door. He makes a LOT of noise, then he runs off and hides!

>no allowance, no loud music some times better!

No loud music, that's true... Tiger plays MEOWZAK!

I don't have any human kids, but I looked up the prices for a visit to the pediatrician and it's as bad as a trip to the veterinarian. My BFF made the veterinarian appointment, I didn't. I'm going to get Rocky and Tiger going to the same vet. When I was a kid, I read something about a "wounded vet." I wanted to know if that was one that got bit by a doggie. My Mom told me that was a wounded veteran... not a wounded veterinarian! I was somewhat perplexed about the term "vet" because I knew my father was a veteran and Doc Sebolt was a veterinarian! (I don't know if Doc Sebolt was also a veteran.)

Hi 10k I really like that about the leaves blowing across the street LOL. What we need is one of those big wind machines so I can blow the neighbors on three sides leaves back at them. But then they would not have anything to complain about! So today we are not burning we have my grand-daughters baseball game to go watch. Radio tuned to the packers and eyeballs on the grand-daughter Haley! She called this morning and asked if we would bring little Haley their Mascot to the game! So we will bundle up and go and cheer the girls on haley will do her usual murf and now a barkLOL. Sneakers good luck on the house and yes Tiger and Rockey are considered your kids. Anyone who says no send them to me LOL even better they make a little noise, no allowance, no loud music some times better!

howdy Sneakers and mags..this is a definite fly-through, cuz it's after 2am, and one of us is almost aak..

sneaker: i remember those old Kansas City Athletics' days-i'm an old geezer, ya know..i also remember American League owners complaining that Kansas City was nothing more than a farm team for the Yankees-lol, especially when the Yankees traded KC for Roger Maris..and KC and the Washington Senators always fought for the cellar-lol..i even have some baseball cards with players in KC Athletics' uniforms..i thought i had one of Maris in a KC uni, but i can't find it..

mags: ye ole cut and snip eh ??..those are words you don't use around guys-hehe..just let the wind blow and see where the leaves go-we had a mini-hurricane tonight, with north wind, so i'm sure every leaf that was on her grass is now on her neighbor's grass-hehe..

have a great Sunday 2s & 4s..it's homecoming at my church-and a ton of rain is predicted-wahhhh ;(

Kansas City Royals are ahead 2-0 over the Baltimore Orioles. And now the series moves to Kaufmann Stadium in Kansas City!

I'm from Kansas City but my baseball attending days were with the Kansas City A's at Municipal Stadium.

Tiger had to go to the vet this morning. He was one congested kitty and he sounded terrible! And the poor thing started meowing terribly when the vet went to examine him.

And the latest thing on the critter front is that I'm one day into the ten-day option period on a house. It's mine unless the site survey, the title company, or the home inspection causes a problem. Four bedrooms (three finished), two full bathrooms, 2010 square feet. They say "large yard for the kids" but don't Rocky and Tiger qualify as kids?
