Went to H-E-B on Pearland Parkway in Pearland, TX. Bought a cartful of food and drink that added up to $115.56, with $3.10 in sales tax on some taxable items (pop and beer).

Got out Tuesday afternoon and bought chandelier bulbs (for the living room fixture) and paper towels at the usual H-E-B. All three of the bulbs in the living room fixture were burnt out. I wanted to buy six bulbs, three to put in and three for spares. The bulbs came in a convenience pack of six bulbs for $2.99. I also bought a big bag of paper towels on sale for $9.97. Both those items are taxable, and I paid $1 in sales tax. Had a kid in the express lane who was a trivia freak. I told him I used to be one when I worked.

Went to H-E-B on Farm to Market Road 528 at Sunset Drive. That seems to be my usual store. Easiest one to get to from the house and their prices are good. Bought the stuff we forgot yesterday, $24 and change.

They were forecasting rain, but the rain came between the time I went grocery shopping and the time I picked up Rocky the dog at the veterinarian's. He had his teeth cleaned today. Cleaning a dog's teeth is pretty much like cleaning human teeth except dogs don't get flossed and dogs do get anesthesia so they don't bite the person trying to clean their teeth. They sent Rocky home with a bandage on his leg. They said they had trouble removing it but my BFF (Rocky is our dog together) got it off just fine.

Spent $93.69 and it was all nontaxable food. I've unloaded all the perishable items. The only thing left in the Escape is two six-packs of V-8 juice and it doesn't matter if that gets warm.

They are expecting rain pretty much for the next week. I hadn't been for a while. Now, we have a big supply laid in.

Went to H-E-B on Farm to Market Road 528 at Sunset Drive Friday afternoon. Bought a batch of chili making stuff.

I said to make the chili "mild," my housemate AJ said "mild to medium." My BFF made it. After it cooked down for a while, my BFF pronounced it as "blast furnace" which means I'm going to have a frozen entrée tonight.

Fresh and Easy. I'm sad that they are closing down the location near me, but I got 50% off my entire bill today. I wish I had a spare freezer or refrigerator.

Ended out skipping the grocery shopping and going around getting gas prices instead.
